Unbelievable

The Doctor watched as the Elements of Harmony plus one baby Dragon wondered around the control room of the TARDIS, each one gasping in wonder. He couldn’t help but study all of their facial expressions, a smile appearing upon his face as he did so.
The brown stallion smiled brightly as he stood on his hind legs and held out his hooves. “Ladies and gentledrakes! Welcome to…” He paused for dramatic effect. “The TARDIS!”
Spike, the purple and green baby dragon, and the only other male around, stood slacked jawed at first but then began jumping up and down, his excitement growing more and more.
His gave focused on the cyan mare with the rainbow mane, aptly named Rainbow Dash. She had come to squeezing her cheeks together making quite the adorable expression. The pegasus hovered in place, slowly twirling about in a circle. A quite “ohmygosh, ohmygosh,” could be heard coming from in between squeals of delight over and over again.
Fluttershy, a butter yellow mare with a light pink mane sat upon her hunches, looking upwards towards the ceiling, taking in the sights that she thought were more than likely impossible. He wasn’t sure, but He thought he heard a small squeak coming from somewhere her way.
Applejack was next, an orange earthpony with a yellow mane and a stetson setting snugly upon her head. Her mouth was agape with both wonder and fear. Which one was more reasonable was any ponies of the farm like he guessed.
Beside her was alabaster unicorn with a deep violet curly mane named Rarity. She stood in silence as she looked over the area with a critical eye. The Doctor couldn’t help but feel slightly annoyed by the way she was looking over the TARDIS, HIS TARDIS, like something was not right about it.
A pink mare with a cotton candy colored mane beamed brightly as her head seemed to twist in an peculiar manor. The one he come to know as Pinkie Pie seemed to be tearing down, striping apart, and rebuilding the TARDIS…all with her eyes alone. The Doctor slightly cringed as he watched her before he went to focused on the last mare in their little group.
Twilight Sparkle, a lavender unicorn with a deep purple mane and a pink stripe running in the middle of it stood with bright shining eyes, her mouth set in a “O” type setting as her pupils grew to the size of dinner plates. He could see a slight sparkle in her eyes as she gazed upon his ship.
The Doctor strolled up the control panel, a bright smile upon his face. “Well…Anything you would like to say?”
Rainbow Dash Flew up to the stallion, pressing her face against his own. “How in Celestia’s name did you get such a huge room inside such a small space!?”
Twilight recovering, from her stupor, shook her head and before trotting around the room to get a better view at everything the ship had to offer. “It…has to be some kind of magic right?”
The Doctor danced around the panel as he spoke. “Nope! No magic here. What you’re seeing here is what we like to call good old Time Pony Technology! Science! Not magic!”
“Ya’ll saying that this here…ah…TARDIE is made of that there science?” Applejack questioned.
“That’s TARDIS my dear. With a ‘S’.” The Doctor Deadpanned before smiling again.” And yes! That’s what I’m saying!”
“Oh my gosh!” Pinkie said bouncing everywhere. “It’s like another universe in another universe! That’s so neat!”
Twilight looked towards the pink mare. “It can’t be that simple.” She turned to the stallion. “Right?”
Turning to Twilight the Doctor waved his hoof. “It is a bit more complicated than that but that’s pretty much it in layponies terms. I would tell you the Sciency words to explain all of this but I don’t want to overload your brains.” He motioned to the cyan pony. “Especially that one.”
“Hey!”
Before Rainbow Dash could get a word in Twilight raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Did you actually say Sciency?”
“Oi! Quite you! I just regenerated! I’m still getting use to how I pronounce words and things and…well…stuff.” He folded his hooves about his chest.
Rarity raised an eyebrow. “My dear Doctor. You mentioned Time Pony before, am I right?”
“Yes!” The Doctor pointed at the mare. “Right! I’m a Time Pony. From the planet Gallopfray!”
“Wait so you’re an alien!?” Rainbow Gaped.
The Doctor nodded. “Indeed.”
Rainbow narrowed her eyes. “Are you planning an invasion?”
The Doctor looked towards the cyan mare and sighed. “Really?”
Rainbow folded her hooves about her chest. “Well with this…Technology I bet you and your kind could destroy everything and everyone on Equestira.”
“I’d have to agree with RD on this one.” Applejack said. “What’s to stop you and you kind from invading?”
“Well…that would be impossible…because…” The Doctor said as he looked away.
“Because?” Applejack asked.
“Cuase I’m the last…” The Doctor answered.
“The last?” Rairity inquired. “What do you mean by that?”
“I’m it. The only one. The last of the last of the Time Ponies.” The Doctors’s focus went to one of the screens.
“You don’t have…anypony?” Twilight asked.
“Nope…” The Doctor answered flatly.
There was a sad silence in the control room from quite some time, the only sounds coming from the Doctor as he pushed a button or pulled a lever.
It was some time before Fluttershy raised a hoof to which the Doctor quickly responded to. “Yes. Quite yellow mare in the back…”
“Um…if it’s not too much trouble…What do you mean by regeneration?”
The Doctor pulled one of the leavers on the panel as he spoke. “It’s something we Time Ponies go though. Whenever we die we regenerate.”
“Wait.” Spike interrupted. “So…before you met us you…ah…died?”
“That would be the case yes.” The Doctor said, pulling another leaver
“Oh my…” Fluttershy gasped. “I hope it wasn’t painful.”
“Oh, I’m quite alright. Never better actually!” The Doctor said smileing.
“So is that an ongoing thing with you Time Ponies?” Twilight inquired. “You can live forever?”
“Well…not quite. Thirteen regenerations are all we have. I’m on my…um…well…tenth…or was it eleventh. Not really sure…” The Doctor answered.
“Oh my…that means you have…at least two more left.” Fluttershy said as tears began to form in her eyes.
“Oh! Hey no crying! I don’t know how to handle a girl when their crying.” The Doctor looked away. “Anyway It’s alright. You see I live for a very long time with each regeneration. Hundreds and hundreds of years. Right now I think I’m…oh…one thousand and two hundred or so. Give or take a few decades.”
Every mare and dragon gaped at the stallion.
“T-That’s…impossible…” Twilight stuttered. That means you’re older then the princesses.”
“Really? Well that is fun now isn’t it! I’m older than your princesses.” He chuckled as he flipped another switch. “Well then before I get things started are there any more questions?”
Rainbow Dash looked towards the stallion. “Get started? What do you mean get started?”
“Well you don’t think that being bigger on the inside is all it has do you?” The Doctor said with a smile.
Pinkie Pie smile brightened. “You mean there’s more!?”
“Of course!” The stallion smiled as he made his way to the mare. “Tell me my dear Pinkie Pie. Did you ever wish you could travel in time?”
“Oh No!” Twilight stomped her hoof upon the ground. “You are not telling me this thing can travel in time! That’s impossible!!”
“Really?” The Doctor all but smirked. “I mean it is called a TARDIS after all.
Twilight rolled her eyes. “What does the name of it have to do with it traveling in time Doctor?”
“I didn’t tell you before?” The Doctor shook his head. “Sorry. I really should have.” He cleared his throat. “You see TARDIS is an acronym. It means Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. T.A.R.D.I.S. TARDIS!”
“By what you saying…” Twilight started. “You’re stating that it cannot only travel in time but also space as well?” Twilight frowned. “You really expect any of us to believe that?”
The Doctor reached out to touch one of the levers. “Well…you know what I love more than showing my TARDIS off?”
Every pony shook their head.
He smirked as he gave them all a wink. “Proving them wrong!” He pulled the lever down causing the whole room to shake violently.
Every mare and Dragon gripped the railing that was close by, except Rainbow, who flew into the air to ride out the bumpy ride.
“What the hey did you do Doctor?!” Twilight yelled. “What’s going on?!”
“Hang on to your hooves every pony!” The Doctor laughed. “Cause this is where the fun start!! TO ADVENTURE!!
Outside where the TARDIS stood, the sound of wind distorting filled the air. Soon the Big Blue Box began to slowly disappear from sight until it was nothing more than just a faded memory
