Score Scratch has always had an ear for music. It's hard to be related to the best-known DJ in Equestria and not be. And it's a good thing his ears are so finely tuned, seeing as he can't see anything.

Yes, Score, an up-and-coming music producer and younger cousin of Vinyl, is completely blind. Always has been, always will be. Good thing he has his cuz and her friends to help him out.

And if Vinyl has taught him anything, it's never to mix business and pleasure. The only reason she and Octavia get along so well is because they are in two different musical fields.

That's all fine and good, that is until a new, young, mare singer from Ponyville begins her career. Score knows brilliance when he hears it, and this mare has it, but what happens when he longs to cross that well-defined line. Will both ponies careers survive, or will one be left languishing in the metaphorical waste bin.
