Gold Dust was like any other pony, or at least he should have been. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

When he was very young, Gold, born a stallion, was placed under a cruel curse. One day he is a stallion, the next he is a mare. The unusual condition has gotten him run out of every town he's ever tried to live in.

There is one last chance: Ponyville, home to an old childhood friend. He can only hope that she can help him, and that there is somepony who can mend the damage done to his heart.
