She barely felt the jostle of the ride as her driver snapped the reins, urging the stallions forward. A faint curse from one of them reached her ears, but she paid it no mind. “Another performance come and gone,” Fleur murmured to herself. “They love the mare they see, yet…” Her gaze turned to the darkened sky beyond the carriage window, her gentle eyes clouded with melancholy. Fame. Fortune. Influence. Is this all there is? Is this all I’ve become? Her question lingered, echoing in her mind. Fleur closed her eyes, allowing herself to drift into the realm of her memories. ~~~ My goodness, Fleur! You’ve solved it already?” The young mare looked up, exhaustion shadowing her bright smile as she levitated a stone tablet in the pink glow of her magic. Her professor, an older unicorn named Pick Axe, stared at her in disbelief. “What? Did you think I couldn’t do it, Professor?” Fleur asked, feigning an exaggerated pout. “No, no! It’s just…” The stallion averted his eyes sheepishly. “I didn’t think you meant it when you said you’d solve it in four days.” “It would’ve been two if I didn’t need sleep,” she quipped, carefully setting the tablet down. “The encryption was tricky, but it was worth it. Can you believe this? A prophecy, long before the Princesses’ time, predicting their rise to power. Imagine what this could mean for pre-Equestrian studies!” Pick Axe chuckled, the mare’s excitement lighting up the room. “You never cease to amaze me, Fleur. Your gift for deciphering is truly remarkable.” Her smile faltered as she looked away. “I’m glad somepony thinks so.” His expression softened as he placed a hoof on her shoulder. “This is about… her, isn’t it?” Fleur’s ears flattened slightly at the mention, but she didn’t pull away. Instead, she nodded, her gaze fixated on the ancient stone tablet as if it held the answers to questions far deeper than its inscriptions. “She thinks this is all a waste of time,” Fleur said softly, her voice tinged with bitterness. “That I should focus on… practical things. Modeling. Public appearances. Being ‘seen,’ as she puts it.” Pick Axe frowned but remained silent, allowing Fleur the space to vent her frustrations. “I just don’t understand,” she continued, her magic brushing over the edges of the tablet as if its intricacies could soothe her thoughts. “What’s wrong with wanting to use my talents for something meaningful? Something that lasts longer than the next photo spread or social gala?” Pick Axe let out a thoughtful hum, his old eyes reflecting both understanding and a touch of sadness. “Your mother… she may see the world through a different lens, Fleur. But that doesn’t mean your path is wrong. Sometimes… ponies only value what they understand.” Fleur sighed, her shoulders slumping. “True…sad but true…I just wished she understood me…” She shakes her head. “Either way this is my last month studying under you. Mother has deemed it so.” The professor sighed before moving towards the door. “Then…Heh…You better make this one hell of a month Miss Fleur. Think you can handle the team coming in tomorrow?” She smiled her ears perking up slightly at his words. “You can count on me Professor” She casted a gaze towards the tablet, more importantly, towards the little blue box that sat on the corner of one of the edges. “You can count on it…” ~~~ Fleur-De-Lis opened her eyes, the memory slipping back into the depths of her mind. She sighed softly. Her gaze drifted to the left, where the Canterlot Public Gardens stretched out under the moonlight. With a frown, she tapped the window of her carriage and motioned for the driver to stop. Stepping daintily onto the cobblestone path, she informed him she needed some fresh air before continuing toward the castle. Fleur lingered for a moment, casting a long look at the carriage before turning her attention to the castle ahead. She hesitated, one hoof poised mid-step, only to pull it back. “What if… I just walked away?” she whispered, her voice barely audible over the gentle rustling of the trees. “What if I left it all behind… just went where I wanted, without a care? Could I… could I really do that?” She turned abruptly, taking a step in the opposite direction, but her hoof faltered again. “The real question is whether I have the courage,” she muttered, berating herself. Shaking her head, she let out a bitter laugh. “Maybe if I wander without looking… maybe I’ll find somewhere new.” Fleur let her hooves carry her aimlessly through the night, her thoughts a whirlwind of doubt and longing. When she finally stopped, she realized she had stumbled into the royal gardens—a familiar labyrinth of hedges and pathways she hadn’t visited in years. “This place…” she said softly, a wistful smile forming on her lips. “I used to come here as a filly, pretending I was off on adventures. Fighting imaginary villains, discovering hidden treasures…” The memories came flooding back—the crisp smell of grass, the fluttering excitement in her chest, the tingling of her hooves whenever she made a new discovery. But now, those once-vivid feelings felt distant, almost sickening in their bittersweetness. “Still…” she whispered, tilting her head toward the sky. The stars shimmered above, their light dancing in the inky darkness. Fleur’s gaze lingered on a single shooting star, its golden tail glittering as it streaked across the heavens. “I wish…” she began, her voice trembling. “I wish I could have one last adventure. Just one… like when I was a filly.” As if in response to her words, the star’s path grew erratic, zigzagging in wild angles. Fleur’s brow furrowed. “No… wait…” she muttered, realization dawning. “It’s… getting closer?” Her heart raced as the glowing object grew larger, its shape becoming clearer. It wasn’t a star at all—it was something else entirely. Before she could process what she was seeing, it came hurtling toward her. “Oh dear!” Fleur yelped, ducking just in time. The object whooshed past her, shaking the ground with its impact. A loud crash echoed through the gardens, followed by the sound of earth being torn apart. When the noise subsided, Fleur cautiously opened her eyes. The once-pristine garden was now a scene of chaos. Smoke and dust hung thick in the air, and several hedges lay flattened in the object’s wake. Fleur coughed, her eyes stinging as she tried to peer through the haze. “What in Luna’s name was that?” she exclaimed, her voice quivering. Moving carefully, she followed the path of destruction. Her eyes would adjust, looking over the mess…whatever that was had created, “I… I should leave,” she murmured. “I don’t know what this is or what happened, but—” Her words were cut short as her head bumped into something solid. Frowning, she reached out with a tentative hoof. It was smooth and cool to the touch, distinctly wooden. She took a step back, eyes widening slightly “A… blue box?” The object stood awkwardly at an angle, its surface scorched but intact. Fleur stepped closer, squinting to read the words printed above the door: Police Public Call Box. Fleur raised her hoof hesitantly, the urge to knock battling with the instinct to stay far away. Curiosity won out, and she gently tapped on the box’s surface. Before her hoof could land a second time, the doors swung open with a loud creak, causing her to leap back with a startled gasp. The interior was dimly lit, but she could make out vague shapes and shadows that seemed far too expansive for what should fit inside the modest exterior. Her breath caught in her throat. “What… what is this?” she whispered, eyes wide. Before she could get a closer look, a loud thud echoed as something tumbled out of the box, landing in a heap on the ground in front of her. Fleur froze, her heart pounding as she stared at the figure. It was a stallion, brown-furred and wild-maned, his body shimmering faintly with golden motes of light. The strange glow dissipated into the cool night air as the stallion groaned, shifting slightly on the dusty ground. “W-what in Equestria…” Fleur stammered, instinctively taking a cautious step back. The stallion’s eyes fluttered open—deep blue, piercing, and filled with a mix of confusion and irritation. “Ugh… Okay, not my best landing,” he muttered, his voice hoarse. He blinked blearily at Fleur, tilting his head as though trying to focus. “You there… white… pink thing. Bit of advice—crossing red and blue wires? Bad idea. Never works like it does in the movies.” “Right! Assessment time!” He held out his foreleg. “Hands? No hands. Hooves? Yes, hooves. New and… strange. “Brown fur… tail… Equus ferus caballus, if I’m not mistaken. A horse, then? Fascinating. Never been a horse before. And—oh, what's this?! In hour glass on my flank.” He giggled. “Oh…well that's very on-brand, wouldn’t you say?” The giggled turned into a laugh. “Ha! See what I did there?” Fleur stared, utterly dumbfounded. “I… I don’t…” He turned to her abruptly, a manic grin spreading across his face. “Quick! What color are my eyes? Go on, don’t be shy!” “B-blue,” Fleur stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. “Blue! Fantastic! Never had blue eyes before—well, there was that one time, but let’s not dwell on the past.” He paused, coughing violently, a shimmer of golden particles escaping his mouth. He frowned, his tone turning sour as he spoke. “Oh…oh well…bugger…” He promptly fainted. Fleur gasped as the strange stallion collapsed into the grass with a dull thud. For a moment, she stood frozen, her mind racing to process what she had just witnessed. The golden particles still lingering in the air shimmered faintly before fading into the night. She hesitated, glancing around the garden as if expecting someone—or something—to explain this bizarre turn of events. But the only sound was the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze and the faint hum of crickets in the distance. Her gaze fell back to the stallion, now motionless but for the shallow rise and fall of his chest. Fleur took a tentative step closer, her nerves tingling with both fear and curiosity. “Are you… alive?” she whispered, her voice trembling as she crouched down. The stallion groaned faintly, his head lolling to the side. “Well, that answers that,” she muttered, relief washing over her. Fleur reached out with her magic, carefully lifting him off the ground. Despite his size, he felt surprisingly light, almost as if he were hollow. She adjusted his weight across her back, her legs trembling slightly under the unfamiliar burden. “This… this isn’t normal,” Fleur murmured to herself, glancing toward the strange blue box standing silently a few paces away. The scorch marks covering its surface, the faint hum of energy emanating from it—it was unlike anything she had ever seen. Her curiosity flared, tempting her to take a look inside, but a low groan from the stallion on her back snapped her out of it. “Right,” she said firmly. “First things first—getting you some help.” ~~~ In the shadows of the ruined hedges, a viscous pink ooze seeped from beneath the blue box. It bubbled and hissed, slithering toward the darkness. It needed to run. It couldn’t let him find it. Not yet. Not before it had fed.

To his credit, he was very glad that he didn’t whimper like a little foal. “I…I just…I thought it was a short-cut. How was I supposed to know that map we have is an outdated one?” He said looking away from angry mare. “Well because of your incompetence we missed the show. Not only that, we are now lost. I told you we should have gone to Hoofany but no! you had to see Dragon’s on Ice.” “You wanted to see it too…” He said under his breath. “What was that?” “N-Nothing! I didn’t say anything honey!” He cried, shrinking back in fright. “Not you Kay!” She berated with a whispered hiss. The mare stared out into the dark, narrowing her eyes. “Who’s there!? I’m warning you! I took six weeks of Hoof-Wan-Do and I am in no mood to play your games!” She glared out into the dark, not hearing anything as the stallion huddled behind her in fear. “Humph! And I thought I could let off some steam before we got back to the hotel.” She complained, a puff of air huffing from her nostrils. Kay pulled at the mare as he turned back to go down the alley-way. “C-Come on honey. I’m sure it was just a stray cat or something. Maybe we can…Can…” His voice trailed off as a timid squeak replaced it. The mare turned to look towards the stallion, only to follow his gaze to a being casting a shadow over the pair. Glowing eyes looked upon the two before descending upon them, evil intent in its eyes. The stallion, despite the clinging fear in his heart, made a last ditch effort and pushed the mare away, allowing her to escape unharmed by whatever it was that attacked them. She looked up to see half of the stallions body enveloped in a sludge like slim, slowly but surely moving up his body to cover the rest of him. “K-Kay!” She cried as she began to move towards him. “No! Run!” Kay cried. “Run Kit! Get out of here!” His body was slowly pulled into the slime before it turned to move towards the mare. Kit took one step back before, turning tail and running back where the two had come, hot streaks of tears flowing down her eyes. Doctor Whooves: Series One Chapter One: Body Snatched Part One Canterlot: Hospital West Wing 6th of Summer C.R., 11:24 a.m. Fleur De Lis made her way back to the room that housed the stallion she had found just a day ago. With a light sigh she opened the door to the room and quietly trotted inside setting her cup of coffee by the nightstand. Her mind began to wonder everything that had happened in just so short of a time, mostly about the condition of the stallion that lay before her. Despite not having any injuries, the stallion had of yet to regain consciences. The doctors in Canterlot Hospital, who were by far some of the best that Equestria had to offer, were stumped just as much as she was about the condition of the strange stallion. All of the usual magic to ascertain information about a sick pony wasn’t working at all, and only the basic of magic like levitation seemed to have any real effect on him at all. The doctors decided to leave him for now, hoping to come up with some other way to ascertain what was wrong with stallion. She had decided earlier that morning to leave the pony in the doctor’s care and went to find out what happened to that big blue box that the pony came out of, and also to check upon the damage that it had done to the Canterlot Maze Garden. Oh, and report back to the Castle. She hadn’t been back since she had found him last night. Her mind went over the events of what transpired. ~ Fleur-De-Lis, she wasn’t surprise to find the local gardeners crowded around the destroy area. She was surprised however to find that the big blue mysterious box was nowhere to be seen in three mile radius. “What the?! But…” She quickly made her way to one of the garden ponies. “Excuse me miss.” She said, tapping a hoof against the mare’s flank. The gardener turned to face Fleur before gasping and bowing before the white mare. “Miss Fleur! What are you doing here? Where have you been? Your mother was in a uproar the whole night looking for you when you did not return home and upon hearing about how somepony wrecked the garden last night, she had feared the worse.” She huffed as she looked away from the mare. “I am a fully grown mare. I do not need to tell my mother where I go.” “Is that so?” Fleur nearly jumped out of her fur at the new voice sounding behind her. A new voice that she knew all too well. She slowly, but surely turned to find a familiar mare making her way towards her. Unlike Fleur’s unusually skinny built, she was that of a normal pony, a pair of glasses complementing her tan colored fur. Her chestnut mane done in a simple bun giving her a work-mare like appearance. If anypony didn’t know any better, they would just write her off as just another pony. That was far from the truth however. “Well?” She said as she stopped in front of the girl. “Well what?” Fleur said with slight disdain. “I am a grown mare and where I go is none of your concern mother.” “What you do, and who you do it with is my daughter.” Her mother said her eyes narrowing. “You did not just say what I think you just said?!” Fleur all but yelled, her cheeks becoming red with both embarrassment and anger from what she had believed her mother had insinuated. The garden mare, to her credit, did not run away screaming like a foal. Not like the last time these two ponies were together. “All I’m saying is, my dear daughter, what you do reflects upon not only Equestria, but your family as well.” Fleur’s mother responded. Fleur glared at her mother, her lips curling up in a snarl. She could just feel the fur on the nape of her neck prick as she lowered her head slightly. She looked as though she was ready to pounce on the mare before her but then straightened back up before using her magic to fix the collar of her dress. She turned to make her way out of the gardens, her head held up high in true Canterlot fashion. “And where do you think you’re going?” Her mother asked. Fleur looked back, distain clearly written on her features. “To see a stallion about a box…Maybe he could make one to put you in.” She retorted before turning away from the mare, not even seeing the response her remark made on her. She did, however hear a sigh and a thumb, the garden-mare having fainted. ~ Fleur sighed deeply. This was just too much for her. She released a gentle yawn and blinked a few times, the weight of the day’s events already getting to her. Having spent the night in creaky old chair did little to improve the mood of the young mare. Her gaze feel upon the comatose stallion as she let her head rest gently on the side of the bed. You’re going to tell me who you are…I promise you that.She thought to herself. She closed her eyes letting her wariness take her into deep recesses of her mind. ~ It had awoken to the sound of birdsongs. It hated birdsongs. It growled in abject discomfort as it felt the heat of the boiling sun beat down on its jalatanes form, the pink translucent body being bombarded brutally by the celestial rays of shining light. It was weak. Strength was still there though, the strength that could overpower creatures smaller then itself. It had proved that last night with the sad excuse of a creature it had fed from. But it needed more. It needed more power. More strength. It needed to destroy…HIM. The thought of the creature that had all but destroyed him his entire world caused the creature to gurgle angrily. The aching in where its head should be was still pounding, relentless banging and clattering shrieking and screaming smothering its mind, causing its black eyes to wince slightly. Hazy memories bubbled to the surface of its mind, the unbelievable agony of burning to death and the sickening dulled feeling of life returning to his body, its molecules knotting back together without any hint of pain. It remembered the feeling of rebirth and of falling and falling, of slamming into the spongy ground with a small thump. It remembered crawling away from big blue box that had become the bane of its existence. It had lived. It had another chance. It could get its revenge and then continue on with its function. The function that was hardwired into its mind from the day of its conception. Something moved past his vison. Another one of the strange creatures, this one’s scent it could practically taste. It moved with a purpose, a hunter stalking its pray. ~ ~ Canterlot: Hospital West Wing: Room 204 1:30 p.m. A tap on Fleur’s head awoke the mare from her peaceful slumber. Her eyes fluttered as they tried to adjust to the lighting of the sun shining through the window. “Huh…Y-yes? Who’s there?” “Ah! Good you’re awake.” The voice that answered her spoke in a proper tone and accent, almost Trotingham in nature. “If I could take a few moments of your time that would be just brilliant.” Fleur’s gaze shifted around, looking for the pony who had just spoken to her moments ago. To her surprise she found that the stallion that had just been in a coma like state was sitting upright in the bed, looking down upon her with a bright smile on his face. His deep blue eyes stared at her as her bright pink ones did the same to him. She couldn’t take them away from those eyes of his. They seemed so kind in appearance, but something seemed overwhelmingly sad about them. They seemed like they were much older then she could have even imagined, but that was impossible…right? It was then that realization soon struck the mare as to who she was speaking to. “Oh my Celestia! You’re awake! How? Why?” She lifted herself up and began to franticly look around the room. “N-No! Scratch that! D-Doctor! We need a doctor!” “Well, If you need a doctor then you came to the right…err…animal…thingy.” The stallion said, waving a hoof in front of himself. “I want to say horse…but now that I look at you, it seems way too...different to be a horse. Large cranium and human like hair not without standing of course. Fleur blinked before shaking her head and asking. “You’re…a doctor?” “No. Well...Yes. Well…Yes and no…” The stallion smiled brightly. “You know what…It would be easier if I just told you my name.” He held out his hoof to her. “Ello! I am…The Doctor.” She looked down upon the hoof with apprehension before shaking it with her own. “Doctor? Doctor Who?” The stallion couldn’t help but snicker at her question, an act that rather made the mare a little irritated. When he saw her scowl he straightened himself back up. “Heh…Sorry…That gets me every time.” “What gets you every time?” “Someone always asking me ‘doctor who?’ when I say I’m the Doctor.” Her frown deepened. “My dear sir, if they ask you that every time you say your name is the Doctor, then what do you think is the problem?” The stallion placed a hoof on his chin and tapped it lightly. “Hmm…you may have a point.” “Then please tell me your proper name.” “I told you already. The Doctor.” The mare raised an eyebrow. “You’re saying your name is…The Doctor?” The stallion pointed a hoof to her and then pointed the same hoof to his muzzle “Well…Its more of a title for me then my name but it’s what I go by so…Oh! I am terribly sorry. I never did catch your name did I?” The mare reared back a bit as the Doctor leaned into her with a bright smile. She stuttered. “I…I am…Fleur-de-Lis…” The Doctor raised an eyebrow. “Fleur-de…Lis? Really? You’re named after the French symbol?” “French?” Fleur questioned. “Wait…Do you mean Prance?” “No I mean France. You know Paris. Elfie Tower. All that lot.” Fleur began to look worried. “Doctor…I think you may have hit your head a few times in that crash. It is not France but Prance. Mareis, Prance. And it is Shyful Tower.” The Doctor stared at her for a good long minuet before tilting his head to the side. “Oh you have got to be kidding me…” Before the mare could respond the stallion held up a hoof to her mouth. “You know what, don’t answer that for now. First things first I have a few questions, just a few, then we can argue about all the silly puns you just made in the course of ten seconds flat.” When he released her mouth she glared at him. “I’m the one that should be asking the questions. Who are you, really? Where did you come from? What was that Blue Box!?” “Oi! That’s not fair. I wanted to ask questions first.” He pouted a little before turning his frown into a bright smile. “Ok I got an Idea. You answer all of my questions and I promise to answer some of yours. Agreed?” “I…I…I…” “The aye’s have!” He jumped out of bed, stretching his limbs and looking himself over. “OK! First me! Tell me…I’m seem to be an equine of some sort, right?” He began to pat his head with his hoof, feeling his facial structure. “Never been an equine before. That’s rather new…Me an equine. Am I a horse? No…Not a horse. I feel too…small. A pony? Yes! That seems about right. Doctor TImepony! Heh. Has a nice ring to it.” He turned to face her. “Now onwards to my question.” He pointed a hoof toward his flank, more specifically, to the picture that graced it. “Why is there a tattoo on my rear?” Fleur eyes widened a bit. “W-what? Wait. You don’t know about your cutie mark?” “A cutie…what?” He narrowed his eyes and poked the hourglass mark, chuckling a little when he did so. “I suppose its means something or another?” “But of course. A cutie mark displays a pony’s special talent.” “And I got an hourglass, eh? Very fitting for me indeed.” He turned to face her with a wide smile that turned into a playfully sniggered. “A Timepony with an hourglass for his cutie mark.” Fleur stepped a little closer to him, a worried expression on face. “Sir…Doctor…Are you ill? Do you need to lie do-“ “WAIT!!” Fleur reared back at the Doctor’s sudden outburst, falling back on her hunches as she did so. The speed at which the Doctor switched emotions was frightening. “W-what is it?” The Doctor began to pace the room tapping a hoof to his forehead as he did so. “There’s something I’m forgetting…Something…Important…extremely important.” He turned to face Fleur. “Tell me Miss…Can I call you Lis? Or do you prefer Fleur? I can also call you De if you like.” When she stuttered Fleur was fine he continued. “Right! Miss Fleur! Tell me, what do you think I’m forgetting about?” She looked to her left and to her right, slightly uncomfortable about being suddenly put on the spot with such a ridiculous and random question. How was she supposed to know what he had forgotten about. Her might went blank for a couple of seconds before she was able to find her voice again. When Fleur spoke she stammered the first thought that had come to her mind. “B-blue…box?” “Yes! Quite right! The big blue Box. My big blue box. Also known as the TARDIS!” He began pacing again. “Let’s see…I was flying the TARDIS, you know, like I do every time, and I was attacked, which was odd due to the fact that I was still in the Time Vortex. So whatever it was that attacked me was either already in the Time Vortex or was already on the TARDIS to begin with. Both reasons seem very unlikely but I can’t rule out either just on that alone.” He stopped his pacing and turned to face the mare again. “Next question! What attacked me and how was it able to damage my TARDIS?” He held up a hoof before she could even say a word “Well I guess the second part is obvious due to the fact that my TARDIS was already damaged to begin with. Still! I’m missing something…something…Important…” He paused as his eyes widened by degrees. “Oh no…” He looked at the mare with a serious face, his bright eyes gaining a harder edge. “That’s not good…not good at all…” Fleur’s head was spinning. ’TARDIS? Time Vortex? What the hey was he talking about. What’s not good?! This pony is mad!’ She spoke to him in a calm and clear tone. “Sir…if you could just calm down. You were in an accident last night. I’ll just go get the doctors and-Hey! Where are you going?“ The stallion, who had been making his way toward the door, turned his head to glance back at the mare. “To the TARDIS my dear. Do try to keep up.” He smiled and turned on his hoof heading out the door way. Fleur stared slack jawed for a moment before moving to follow after. She caught up to him, slowing down to keep pace with him from behind. “What is a TARDIS? Why do you need to go there?” “You want to know so badly my dear Miss Fleur?” The stallion smirked when she nodded hesitantly. “Well…if you’re that curious than all you have to do is follow me.” He looked straight ahead his smile disappearing completely. “Besides…being beside me is probably the safest place right now…” The way he said that made the fur on the back of Fleur’s neck stand on end. “W-what do you mean?” “What I mean is that you…no…not just you…All of whatever place I just landed in…it’s all in grave danger, and I fear I may have been the one to have bright it here…” ~ Canterlot Just outside the Royal Maze Garden 2:45a.m. Fleur, now having took the lead due to the fact that the Doctor didn’t seem to know where he was going, led him to the royal Canterlot Maze Garden. She had told him, or at least tried to tell him, that when she came to inspect the crash site before that could she find any sighs of the big blue box that the stallion came out of. It all fell on death ears though as the Doctor was much too busy admiring the sights that were Canterlot. “Doctor!” Fleur called out as she looked behind herself. “If you say you need to hurry then shouldn’t we be hurrying?” The stallion gave her a look that screamed what do you mean before his eyes widened a bit. “Oh! Right! Sorry! It’s just…I just noticed…you’re a unicorn.” He ran up to Fleur and stared at her horn, causing her to look uncomfortably away. “D-Doctor…what are you doing?” “Looking at that horn of yours what else.” He reached a hoof to tap her horn, causing the mare to blush brightly when he did so. She slapped his hoof away and glared at him. “D-Doctor! Have you no shame!” “What! What I do!” he asked, looking affronted. “Unicorns horns are…ah…s-sensitive!” She blushed and looked away. “Oh? Ooooohhhh…” He said in realization. “Terribly sorry about that my dear Fleur. Still new to this and what not.” He looked himself over after he spoke. “What are you talking about? Have you never seen a unicorn in before?” “Don’t be silly, of course I have.” He paused before sheepishly looking away. “It’s just…I never seen one in real life before.” She rose an eyebrow at his response. “Never…what? What do you mean?” “Now miss Fleur, now is not the time for questions! He galloped ahead of her, toward the opening of the Canterlot Garden Maze. “Aha! This must be the place where you said you found me.” “Y-yes…This is the place Doctor but…” Her words fell of death ears as the stallion ran off. “Doctor! Doctor wait!” She galloped after him at full speed. She was glad that she always kept her body in shape cause despite how the stallion looked, he sure could run fast. “Doctor! Stop! Do you even know where you are going?!” He did not answer her, instead he stopped in the middle of a opening staring off into distant space. Fleur, now completely out of breath stood by panting, trying to catch it again. “I…I tired…I tried to tell you…I…Its gone…I didn’t see it when I came looking for it this morning…” Fleur gasped. The Doctor glanced at her for the side before smirking lightly. He raised a hoof and…looked at it. “Oh…well…bugger…forgot about the no fingers thing you ponies have…” He sat on his hunches and staired at both of his hooves before clapping them together twice. In an instant the big blue box that Fleur had seen just two days ago materialized in front of her. It looked brand new, noting like the scared mess it was just two days prior. She stood at the entrance, slightly huffy. She didn’t have to wait long before when with a creek and the door swung in and out came the Doctor, dressed in a tweed jacket and red tie. The jacket, brown in color, seemed to be oversized somewhat; he even had to roll up the sleeves of it just so that he could move around it in better better. He smiled brightly at her gave her a quick pose. “So…how do I look?” As one of the former leaders in the world of fashion all she could do was deadpan and reply. “Raggedy…” “Oi!” Fleur stomped her hoof hard on the ground scilencing any retort he may have had. “I’m tired, hungry, and really, really angry! The blue box who had just two days ago nearly decimated these very gardens, randomly appears before me after you, what? Clap your hooves like you were summoning a servant!” She stood face to face with the stallion, her face touching his own. “Will you forget about what you look like and tell me what the hey is going on!” The Doctor blinked once before smiling sheepishly. “Right so…it’s my turn to answer questions right?” at her nod he continued. “Right would you like to know?” “What is,” She raised a hoof toward the Blue Box. “THAT! Where did it come from? Why are we here and what did you mean that we are in danger.” “That…is the TARDIS. Stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space.” He gave her a sly smile. “It’s how I get around. As to where it came from, I added a new feature to it not too long ago. If I’m not around for a day or two the TARDIS will automatically go into cloaking mode, mostly as an just in case measure.” He reached his mouth inside the coat and pulled out a metal object. He sat on his hunches and balanced it within his hooves. It was rather long but sleek looking. A little green bulb rested at the tip of it. “As to why I came here I needed this, my sonic screwdriver.” Putting it away he reached into the other pocket and pulled out a leather like pouch. “And this, my psyche paper.” He put the object away and turned to face her once again. “As to why we are in danger…Well…Let me tell you a little story about a little pink blob of mass destruction…” Canterlot Abandoned building 2:45 p.m. It looked around in the darkness, opting to stay in the shadows as it slid away from the fallen mare, her body as white as chalk. It was lucky, finding such a delicious meals in short amount of time. These beings, disgusting looking as they were, where filled to the brim with such happy emotions And that’s just what the Doctor ordered. The Doctor, a little while ago, had just stopped in the middle of some insane rant he was on and declared “I’M IN THE MOOD FOR SOME CARROTS!” With a hop skip and a jump, mostly on his end, the pair of ponies sat at The Flower Shrub. She had watched as he fumbled with the menu all the while smiling like a foal in a candy store, ordering more than a few carrot based items that were upon it, to which, since he told her that he had no money, she would be paying for. “There are just so many of you ponies!” The Doctor said smiling after having his order taken. “Big ones, fat ones, skinny ones, tall ones! Red, blue, green, yellow! Every color imaginable.” The stallion eyes widened as he looked to the sky. “Oh! And pegasi too! Flying ponies! Never thought I would see the day I would get surprised about something as…well…impossible as that.“ He looked back toward the mare. “And horns too. I would guess that having those mean you can do something as well, right? Right? Of course I’m right. So tell me what can you do?” “You really don’t know do you?” Fleur asked raising an eyebrow. The Doctor just shook his head in confirmation. Fleur sighed before looking away. “We unicorns can do magic.” Giving him a demonstration, she levitated her menu toward him with a gentle glow of her horn. The Doctor eyes widened. “Magic? It was one of the most beautiful planet’s within the Helix Nebula. Resort planet you see. Beaches all around, nice quite walks in the safest woods in all that galaxy. All and all a really great vacation spot.” “Was?” She asked with a raised eyebrow. “Ah...You're quick. I like them when their quick.” He said with a wink. “Yes...It was...Until the Smooze. It had been there for quite some time before I came. Hiding within the dark. Growing its power every so slowly. It had began to seep from the ground, destroying the flora...fauna...and...the living beings.” Fleur gasped. “T-Thats horrible…” “Once again...indeed. The remaining beings fled into thier ships. But many of the muck must have stuck to the ships because quite of few of them were going down. I had thought all was lost...until I saw something interesting...You see-” There was scream not too far away from where they were, making the Doctor’s ears flick and position themselves in the direction the noise came from. “What the hey was that?!” Fleur yelled, standing from her seat. “Heh...I do believe that, that is my cue.” He mused. “Come along Miss Fleur!” He jumped from the table, biting down on a carrot as he passed by the waiter. “Wait! Doctor! Wait for me!” She threw a few bits onto the table before galloping after him. The white mare’s mind soon began to race as she thought about what she was doing. She was actually following this crazy stallion. Should have just left him then and there. She, however, did not, brushing past the crowd behind him as they made their way towards the front. When she was right beside him she asked him, “Doctor, what are you doing?” Before the Doctor could respond a pair of spears suddenly blocked their path, both held by two burly stallions in golden armor. “Halt! No civilians allowed past this point” One of them spoke in a commanding tone. Fleur was about to back away but stopped when the Doctor approached the two stallions with with a skip. “Right! I think you’ve been expecting me.” The blue eyed stallion reached into his coat pocket, pulling out that strange leathery pouch he had placed in there before. “Lookths. Seeths?” He slurred. The guard that spoke looked at the small piece of paper and widened his eyes. “A-A CPG?! Yes of course. Right this way.” To Fleur’s amazement both guards removed their spears so that he could pass. “Right at the end of the hall.” The Doctor nodded and turned to face Fleur. “Coming assistant?” Without waiting for a response he trotted past the guards, making his way toward the back of the ally. Fleur stood by for only a second, not really sure of what to make of what had just transpired, before racing after him. When she caught up she spoke in a quiet tone. “What the hey did you just show him? Why was he calling you a FPS?” The Doctor smiled and pulled the pouch out. Opening it he showed her the piece of paper. To her surprise, it read something completely different. “A coupon for a free day at the spa? Wait! I…is that…That’s the same paper you showed the guard! How did…” “Psychic Paper.” He answered after putting the object away. “It allows someone to see what I want them to see or whatever the one I’m showing it to wants to see.” He smirked held his head up high. “By the way...what's in CPG?” “Celestia's Personal Guards! They are the highest authority next to the Princess herself!” “Huh...hehe...Think I might have to use that one more than a few times…” The pair of ponies, upon reaching the back of the ally, found four more of the royal guard nearby, talking amongst themselves in hushed tones. “Didn’t I tell you to keep a leash on him!?” “I-I did! He bit though it! And called me a name...a hurtful one...” “Then why didn’t you subdue him?” “Do you see a horn on my head?! I wasn’t getting anywhere near him with my bare hooves. If he bit through the rope he would bite though my legs!” One of the guards turned to face the Fleur and the Doctor as they approached. “What are you…” The Doctor flashed the paper again. “A-A CPG?!” “Yep! Yep! That’s me! CPG! Call me...Hmm...Noun,verb, noun, verb...Timepony! Yes...Timepony, aka the Doctor. Doctor Timepony as it were. In fact I would prefer if you just called me the Doctor thanks.” He motioned toward the mare beside him. “And this here is-“ “F-Fleur de lis?!” One of the guards called out. The Doctor arched an eyebrow. “You…know her?” “Of course!” The guard seemed to blush slightly in embarrassment. “I…She’s a famous pony model and actress…I seen all of her movies…” Fleur looked away. Of course she would get noticed. Just because she was not in the spotlight doesn’t mean it isn’t following her. “It’s always good to meet a fan but right now…” She motioned toward the Doctor. “I am working with the Inspector.” She paused and added for good measure. “Do you have a problem with that?” The guards all shuffled in silence as they looked toward the mare. One stepped up and said what they all were thinking. “Miss Lis…It’s just that…Well...” He trailed off, looking away. The Doctor grew serious. “Did someone die?” The guard shook his head. “No...Nothing like that. We found a pony...and...well…” Another guard spoke up, a frantic look to his face. “He’s being really mean!” The Doctor blinked. “Really...Mean? Really...you had to...you know what nevermind.” He turned to Fleur. “It matches our targets MO exactly.” At her nod he turned to the other ponies. “So...where is this...hehe...Meanie?” “A few of our unicorns are holding him down as we speek.” The first guard said with a salute. “Right!” He rubbed his hooves together. “Time for some inspecting! Tally-Ho!” ~ It saw many beings happy as he peeped from its hiding place. It hated happy. It traveled underground, within the sewers. It had fed well before. It was stronger. But not strong enough. It was aware that he would come for him. It was not ready yet. It needed to grow. become strong. The beings within this world are happy. It would use them for its feeding. It would destroy them all before it was done. It knew what it needed to do...what it was designed to do. But first it needed to destroy him. “D-Doct-tor…” It slowly made its way down the dark pathway. It would wait. Until it was too dark to see. It could see in the dark. They could not. It would feed then. It would grow.
