2. Let Me Show You Something Special
I stared at Fluttershy, suspense overwhelming me in the silence. I did not want to speak or move, it was a lovely quiet. I saw her tears stop and she looked at me, mouth slightly open and her face beginning to get pink as a sunset. "Y-you want me to share the nights.... With y-you?" I held out my hoof, and she took it and stood with a small shy smile on her face. Faust, please always make her wear that smile. "Yes. Its why I was looking about too. I'm lonely on my cloud and there's always room for two..." She took hardly a second to say yes. We flew up. When we got higher than she was used to, she meeped and held my hoof. But she always came out when she realized I was there. I never had thought of Flutters as something more besides the best friend one could have, but now as I flew with her, I felt something new.
We finally got to the Stargazing Cloud. I set her down gently then wiggled besides her. She looked down and yet again meeped. But this time she shocked me. She snuggled up next to me and, as if it were instinct, put by head on hers. We were locked in a hug for a second then blasted each other out if it. I pointed out stars and comets and constellations and she pointed outbowls and moths and formations in the moon. We were at peace. Then, I did something I would never have thought I would have done; I touched my nose to hers and it was, in awkward but sphapoy harmony, we slept.We both had dreams about each other.
I strolled the air oaths made by the weather pegasi. I watched my Boss spread out her long wings. "Goodnight Enchiridion!" I said as the black made dipped her head as a brief goodbye before soaring off. I cleared away some clouds as U flew further and further away from my abandoned workhouse. I settled down on a extremely fluffyncloud located near my home. I had a perfect view of the night sky whenever I sat there and tonight I watched distant comets falls across the sky then land in the woods. I never saw their crash sites. A few stars crossed and made beautiful constellations via Luna's magic. I wondered what it was like to control the artwork that was the sky. It was quiet and peaceful, I watched the stars for some 3 hours before realizing tonight I wasn't satisfied with what I had. I wanted... Someone besides me. Someone who I could talk to. I wanted to share this sight with a friend. So I reluctantly left my cloud perch and set out. As I looked deeply into the night and saw no pony in the civilization that was Ponyville, I began searching harder and lower to the ground. My ears pricked up as I heard a soft voice weeping nearby. I landed and saw a bright light from a lampost clearing away the fog. I saw.... Fluttershy. She wept as she recited a song. My heart melted for her. I turned intoa motherly therapist as I cantered to her side. "Flutters, why are you crying?" I asked, confused why she was crying on such a lovely night. "It's nice out tonight and its perfect for fresh air and whatnot!" But she just looked at me. It broke my heart... But she gave a small answer. "I have nopony to share my peacefulness with..." My heart yet again melted away. I realized both of us would be happy should I ask her the question that hanged in my mind... I gave in. "Flutters... Do you want to spend your peaceful night... With me?"
