A white mare went running through the streets of Canterlot. It was unusual for a mare to be running at this time of night. It looked as if she was in one major hurry! This mare was different from all of the rest, she was white with yellow hooves that turned white as it went up her legs. Her mane is white with orange stripes , just like her tail. Her eyes are yellow and fuchsia. Her cutie mark was of a large star with five smaller ones around it, it was black. Many ponies would call her mini Twilight, because she looked just like her sister, Twilight Sparkle.

She was on her way to meet someone, she made it to the Crystal Life Spa, and went into the alley. She saw who she was looking for, a stallion with a brief case.

"It's about time you showed up! I've been waiting for half an hour!" He said bitterly.

"Sorry! I had to wait until Shinning was asleep, it took a while for Cadence to convince him to stop drinking that... 'stuff'" She said reluctantly.

"You really aren't all that much of a caffeine fan are you?" He asked.

"Not really, but he drank five caramel macchiato cappuccino chocolate coffees from Marebucks!" She exclaimed.

"When did she convince him?" He asked.

"Three thirty... I still say that Cadence shot stop letting him drink that stuff. He's lucky he is getting this for his birthday..." she said quietly.

"Look, Sapphire, do want this stuff or not? If you do, it's really going to cost you!"

"Yes, I want all of it, where did you get it this time?"

"Cloudsdale, I tell you, they love me up there!"

"Only because you buy them out, can I have the double-chocolate milk yet?"

"Oh, fine," he pouted, " That will be one-hundred bits."

"What," Sapphire exclaimed, " But, Evening Star, last month it was only fifty!"

"You asked for double! That's why! But I know what will lower it to seventy-five."

"Oh, really? And how is that my good sir?"

"Give me a kiss!" He said seductively.

"Eh, why not? You can have one tomorrow too!"

"Yes!" he said excitedly.

He put his hoof under her chin and lifted her head up, he leaned down, and kissed her. This lasted a little while but when they finally released, Evening looked at Sapphire and bit his lip.

"What's wrong?" She asked him.

He sighed, it was now or never, he took the crate that the milk was in, opened the lid, and reached inside.

"You see, how long have we been dating?"

"About five years now; I remember how we met, you spilled cherry juice on me at my eighteenth birthday!" She said with a laugh.

"Exactly, and, well, the other day, I was thinking..." He hesitated.

"I thought I smelled smoke!" She joked.

"Ha, ha." He deadpanned. "Look, I was thinking that we should take a step further in our relationship..." He said softly.

"...Wat?" She squeaked.

With that, he pulled a small black box out of the crate, and got down on one hoof.

"Sparkling Sapphire, I love you, and I know that you love me. Your eyes shine like one of Discords flowers in the winter, and I believe that you will love me for as long as we live. Sapphire, will you marry me?"

She was speechless, he had just proposed! She began to cry and finally said:

"Yes! yes, I will marry you!" She said, ready to squeal like a foal in a candy store.

She reached out and kissed him. When they stopped, she noticed the ring. She gasped at such a sight.

He took the ring, and slid it on her horn, they were now engaged. Sapphire thought to herself:

"This is the beginning of our brand new chapter..."

"Oh, I cant wait to tell Cadence! Wait! what if I don't show it to them until tomorrow?" She said excitedly.

"Why?" He asked with interest.

"Well, I haven't gotten Shinning a present yet so I could use this as a present!"

"I don't see why not, I need to get home so I'll see you tomorrow, love!" He said teasingly.

"Oh, don't worry, you will! Bye!"

And with that, she and Evening headed their separate ways. When she got back, her adoptive mother, Sweetie Belle, was waiting for her.

"Where have you been?!" She exclaimed, "I come to your room to find that you are gone! Without a note!"

Sapphire cringed, her surprise was doomed now...

"Um, I went to see Evening..." Sapphire almost whispered.

"I told you, not at night! What was the reason this time?"

"I went to get chocolate milk for a birthday party I was planning for Shinning Evening! Please don't tell, mother, please?"

"Alright, I won't. Now get some sleep, tomorrow is a big day."
