Esther was sitting in the nook that was behind her tall bed which rested against the eastern wall of her room. She was bored; she had run out of things to draw hours ago and her pollies and ponies were just boring now. She had finished her schoolwork early today and was dreaming about what it would be like to go to a real school.

"I bet it's just wonderful to be surrounded by people all day! It has to be better than being alone all day..."

If you hadn't guessed, Esther was homeschooled. She hated it. Sure, she could finish up her school in a few weeks if she wanted but she didn't feel like it. School was her one company throuout the days and she was very bored on Saturdays and Sundays.

She looked at her little table she had made with a box and a lap desk. After some consideration, she placed an old blanket over it. Big woop, she decorated her small table. She could go brush her teeth... Again. Braces were no fun thing to try and brush. Her dentist wasnt to happy that she didn't know how to properly brush her braces.

She sighed, picked up the book she had finished reading, and started to get out of her nook. This was not an easy task. She struggled for a moment. God, she hated being bigger, in every size, than her mom and sisters. She used a little more force to try and get out but slipped. Her head heading straight for a metal chair, she braced herself for the pain... It never came. She opened one eye and could not believe her eyes. She fainted.

It was dark... At least, she thought it was dark. It definitely wasn't quiet. Two voices, very familiar to her, were having a conversation/argument.

"What do we do with her?!"

"Calm down, I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation for this."

"What explanation? She randomly fell from the sky?"

Esther had enough. She tried, it took a while, but she finally managed to open her eyes.

"What the..." Esther said with much confusion in her voice.

"Ah, you have woken up."

"P-p-princess Celestia?!" Esther nearly screamed.

"Yes," Celestia replied, "and you are?..."

"Huh?"

"Surely a pegasus of your nature has a name."

Pegasus?... What?... No way. "May I see a mirror?"

"Of course." Celestia said before handing me a small mirror. What I saw made me gasp. There, staring back at me, was a navy blue pegasus with a wavy, but a bit more curly, lavender mane.

"This isn't possible..." I whispered to myself.

"Would you be so kind as to tell me your name?" Celestia asked as I saw Luna walk over and stand next to her.

"My name?" I asked, "its...its.... Silver Wind."

"It is quite fitting," Luna said with a grin, "I like it. However, sister, Twilight Sparkle has arrived. We must tell her of his return and of the empire!"

Empire?" I asked, "as in... The Crystal Empire?"

"How do you know of it?" Luna asked my with concern in her voice.

"I just...do."

"How much do you know?" Luna asked me with a raised brow.

"Not much... I know that you and Celestia defeated king Sombra, but not before he placed a curse on the land, causing it to disappear until now."

"Sister," Luna said as she turned towards Celestia, "we should send her with your student! We could send Silver with them and say she is my apprentice."

"It does sound like a good idea..." Celestia hesitated, "so be it. But let us hurry to my courtroom! My student is waiting!"

"I'm so glad you got to come with us!" Rarity said as she combed out her mane. They were on the train headed for the Crystal Empire, "be a dear and pass me my scarf?"

"Which one?" Silver asked as she looked at the pile of suitcases.

"The pink one," she said as she put her brush away before accepting the scarf, "thank you!"

"So, Silver," Rainbow said with a yawn, "you wanna race around for a while later?"

"I- uh- that is," I stammered, before letting out a reluctant sigh, "I don't k ow how to fly."

"Is tat why you don't have a cutie mark?" Rainbow asked before getting slapped by Apple Jack.

"Don't be rude!"

"Geez! Sorry! I was only asking- what is that?..." Rainbow asked as she pointed toward a dreary area.

"That's our stop," I said matter-of-factly, "Shining Armour will be coming to meet us."

"Why is my brother here?" Twilight asked with a puzzled look.

"He and cadence are positioned there."

"Oh..."

After a few minutes, we were off of the train. Soon after that, Shining Armor appeared before leading everyone towards the empire.

"So what exactly is the problem?" Twilight asked after a pause in our so called conversation.

"Well its-" Shinning Armor said before he whipped his head around, "that!" We all turned to look to see a massive grey cloud making its way toward us. "RUN!" Shinning yelled, "I'll hold him off!" The other stated running, and I'll admit I did too. But I soon realized that I wasn't going to be of much help at the Empire. So I doubled back just in time to see the cloud envelope Shining.

"Shining!" I nearly screamed as I raced to get there. Bad move. Soon, the cloud coveted me too. What was going to happen to me? Was something going to happen to my wings like how something happened to Shining horn? Wait... What's that smell?...

Everything went dark.
