Crossworld Between Harmony: Nightmare's Ascension

As the stories foretold in the human realm, a rookie by the name of Geos Vaarka, followed his group in investigating the sudden and imminent silence of Fortress Ironclaud. When they entered the place, all they found was countless bones and the reek of death.

The two veterans, Magnus and Maurice, refused to retreat by their secret mission as their path lead deeper into the horrors that awaited them. They soon encountered the risen dead and the death of Magnus and half of the group. With Maurice in charged they barricaded themselves in the Savior shrine in hopes to find an exit.

Yet despite the group's panic, Geos was aware of the sudden change that was happening to the fallen defenders. The dead were not rising, but being controlled by a blackish slime that consumed the entirety of its skeletal bodies. Although Geos was the only person to notice the change, he'd soon encountered something else in the fortress. An illusion of a blacken horse with long wings and horn, whispering his name in a chilling vibe.

As the group remained at the front room of the shrine, Maurice and Geos went into the library in search for the emergency exit. At Maurice distraction, Geos wandered alone to find himself growing worsened by the constant headaches. He would soon find that his illusion of a blacken horse was very real and much alive.

In the steps that followed, the entire group, along with Maurice, had fallen to the enemy and leaving Geos all alone to fend for himself. Darkness came for him as his mind wrought with pain and grief. He struggled of the nightmares that came for him until at last he met a particular stranger, playing a musical instrument.

Geos didn't much care any more about his moral and shot the stranger in cold blood. Distraught of what he had done, his grief turned into weakness and was stabbed from behind by the already-dead stranger. Dragged and forced to watch an army of transformed monsters, the stranger let him live upon the wishes of his master and dropped Geos into the bottom below from the balcony.

With an entire group destroyed, the last survivor was hurled into additional torture as he was about to give his report to the council. Whatever the outcome, he would soon meet another creature from another world. A creature that bore the embodiment of magic.
