Negan Kills A PTH Wonderbolt

“Get on your haunches!” A savior ordered. Soarin obeyed. “That goes for all of you, now!” One by one, Misty Fly, Rainbow Dash, Silver Lining, Fleetfoot, Spitfire, Wave Chill, Soarin, Blaze, Matteo and Calm Wind all sat down on the pavement in front of the RV, it was their RV. They were lined up in a semi-circle formation, Matteo on the far left end facing the RV, Calm on the far right. Several cars surrounded them, their brights turned on to keep the ‘Bolts from seeing the Saviors clearly.
Spitfire looked to her left and right to see her fellow Wonderbolts had the most terrified looks on their faces. She felt awful, she knew that this was her fault. She had been the one to lead them here in the middle of the night. The plan had been to meet back up with Rick and his group on the freeway to get Maggie to the Hilltop, but that was likely not going to happen. Spitfire tried her damn hardest to look brave for the others. But after being suddenly blinded by those headlights from the cars, and being ordered to sit down, at gunpoint, in front of their own RV; looking brave wasn’t that simple. She just didn’t understand how the Saviors could have captured them. Hadn’t Soarin, Calm, Matteo, and Wave Chill helped Rick and his people eradicate them from the satellite observatory?
She glanced over to Wave, and he looked at her. His eyes seemed to say “I’m here.” She nodded in appreciation.
Soarin and Rainbow Dash, had taken seats on the ground side by side. Soarin subtlely reached a hoof over to Rainbow Dash, but a savior put that to an end immediately. “You try that shit again, a bullet goes in your brain!” Soarin had to call on every ounce of discipline to not flip off the savior with his wing. Rainbow silently muttered “Jerk.” under her breath.
Silver Lining was determined to keep a stoic expression, he couldn’t let these bastards see weakness. Once your enemy sees weakness, they’ve already won.
A lone savior walked out in front of the ponies, and sneered at them. “Well then, looks like we have a full boat,” He said, sweeping his head from left, to right. “Let’s meet the man.” He turned around and knocked on the door of the RV. He walked back to the sidelines.
Promptly, it opened, revealing a tall man who wore a leather biker jacket, jeans, and a red bandana around his neck. He looked to be in his late forties, about the same age as Silver. He had a gray stubble growing along his chin, along with close-cut gray hair. He held a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire on his shoulder. His very presence seemed to instill respect in every Savior around the ‘Bolts. He grinned devilishly.
“Pissin’ our pants yet?” He asked to all the seated ponies. His smile never faltered. “Boy, do I have a feeling we’re getting close.” He started to slowly walk in front of the group, eyeing each of them. “Yeah, gonna be pee-pee pant city here real soon.” He seemed to have that smile forever plastered on his face. “Of course, then again,” He stopped in front of Spitfire, and put a hand up to his chin in thought. “I guess ponies don’t even wear pants, so I guess it’ll be pee-pee-pavement city.” He chuckled.
He backed up so that the entire group was in his field of view, and was pleased to see they all had some form of a terrified look on their faces. His men had done their jobs well. “Which one of you pricks is the leader?” Spitfire gulped.
“It’s this one,” A savior pointed at the orange mare. “She’s the one.”
Negan eyed Spitfire, his smile fading. He walked right up to her and looked down at her, and she looked up at him. “Hi,” He said simply, not waiting for an answer from her. “Your Spitfire, right?” She nodded slightly to confirm his inquiry. His smile returned. “ I’m Negan,” He pointed at himself. “And I do not appreciate you killing my men.”
Spitfire looked at him, confused. “I didn’t kill your men.” She then realized what she had done. If Negan found out who, out of her Wonderbolts, had helped Rick’s group exterminate the Saviors at the observatory, he might… do something to them. However, as she tried to go through how she could protect Soarin, Wave Chill, Calm, and Matteo, Negan responded.
“Oh, no, I know you didn’t kill my men.” He glanced at Soarin, then Wave Chill. “Soarin and Wave Chill...” He pointed at the two. “Calm Wind…” He pointed at the light blue Pegasus. “And Matteo.”
Wave, Calm, Soarin, and Matteo shared a quick glances, before Soarin said. “Yeah, I’m Soarin. And just so you know,” He paused to let Negan tune in to his words. “I’m the only one who helped Rick.” As he finished, Matteo stoic expression broke just a little bit. But Calm and Wave went wide-eyed. What the hell was he doing? Before any of them could correct Soarin’s statement, Negan burst out laughing.
“BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!” He walked right up to Soarin. He grinned evilly down at the pegasus. “Okay, if you actually think I’m going to believe that bullshit, you’re gonna have a bad night.” He sauntered back to be in front of the entire group and looked down at them. “But don’t worry, you’re all gonna be up to speed shortly.” He let them contemplate that sentence for a moment. As he did so, he walked up to Spitfire, and whispered down at her. “Yeah… you are so going to regret crossing me in a few minutes here.” He smiled. “Yes you are.”
Spitfire could only glance left and right at her fellow Wonderbolts. If he did anything to any of them, that would be on her shoulders. If he intended on killing one of them… She tried to get her mind off that. She looked to her immediate left to see Fleetfoot, doing something completely un-Fleetfoot like. She was shivering in fear, Spitfire couldn’t believe it. Negan had successfully managed to scare the queen of drama herself. Fleetfoot was rarely intimidated by others, but here, something here had caused her to snap.
Spitfire eased her eyes to see that Soarin and Rainbow Dash had subtly scooted closer together, trying to stay together as much as possible. She moved her eyes to the left and gazed at Wave Chill. She could see he was doing his best remaining stoic, but she could also see that fear shrouded his eyes. She wished he could be by her side, like Soarin and Rainbow.
“You see Spits… no matter what you do in life… you don’t mess with the new world order.” Negan started. “And the new world order is very simple, so, even if you’re stupid, which you very well may be, you can understand it.” He paused for a moment. “Here it goes, pay attention” He stepped down onto one knee, and got right in Spitfire’s face.
“Give me your shit, or I will kill you.”
Those words shook the foundations of Spitfires poise, and she started to breath heavily as her eyes widened in terror. He had said it loud enough for everyone to hear him, and they started having similar reactions. Misty Fly, however, was completely oblivious to what Negan was saying, and stared him down without fear. Meanwhile, to the far right, Blaze had about enough of this guy’s bullshit.
“Why don’t you go suck your own cock, motherfucker!” She yelled aloud. Savior and Wonderbolt alike stared at her for a full three seconds, before the men responded.
“Say that again bitch!” One goon shouted.
“You are so fucking dead!” another yelled, as they went for their pistols.
“Woah, woah boys! Easy!” Negan held a hand up, stopping them in their tracks. “The little lady has something to say, let her say it.” He looked down at the yellow pegasus.
“The FUCKdid you just call me!?” Blaze couldn’t stop her instincts from sending her into air, hovering in Negans face. “FUCKING CALL ME A LITTLE LADY AGAIN MOTHERFUCKER!!! I FUCKING DARE YOU!!!” She barked at the top of her lungs, jabbing a hoof at Negan’s chest. Immediately, Dwight, Negans right hand man, grabbed Blaze from behind at the neck and threw her to the ground next to Rainbow Dash. He held a Colt .45 pistol to her head.
“Stay on the ground!” He commanded. Blaze only let up at the sight of a gun at her head. She relaxed, but only slightly. Just to make sure she didn’t try anything else, Dwight continued to point the pistol at her.
Silver grunted to himself under his breath. “Blaze, c’mon now, don't do anything stupid.”
Dwight himself was a hideous sight. Half his face had been heavily scarred due to a burn, and half of his blonde hair was missing because of it. He wore a red button-down shirt, a black leather vest, and jeans.
Seeing the whole interaction, Negan simply chuckled, and shook his head. He flipped his baseball bat up onto his shoulder. “You all are going to deliver a message to Rick.” He made sure everyone was paying attention to him. “You see, we invested a lot, so that you and Rick know who I am, and what I can do.” He pointed his bat at Spitfire. “You all work for me now, you have shit, and you give it to me. That’s your job.” He lowered the bat. “Now I know that is a mighty big, nasty pill to swallow.” The ‘Bolts, excluding Blaze and Misty, didn’t know what to think. “But swallow it you most certainly will.”
Fire Streak just stayed quiet and hoped to Celestia that Negan wasn’t planning on hurting anybody, least of all Misty Fly… If anything happened to her, he didn’t know if he could forgive himself.
“Hey, I get it.” Negan said. “You and Rick ruled the roost. You all, built something. You thought you were safe.” He shook his head in pity. “But, the word is out. You are not safe. Not even close.” Negan pointed a finger down at Spitfire. “In fact you are pegged, more pegged if you don’t do what I want.” He backed up and this loudly to the rest of the ponies. “And what I want, is half your shit. If that’s too much, you and your people can make, find, or steal more, and it’ll even out eventually.”
Spitfire was barely able to comprehend this. She was having a hard time thinking straight. They just had to get back Alexandria, and then they would know what to do.
Right?
Negan spoke again. “This, is your way of life now, the more you fight back, the harder it will be.” He walked back up to Spitfire and squatted down to see her eye to eye. She looked completely disturbed. “So if someone, knocks on your door, you let us in, we own that door.” He got up and made sure Spitfire was looking up at him. “You try to stop us, and we will knock it down. You understand?” He took his left hand and cupped it around his ear, and leaned down. “What? No answer?” He grinned and backed up again to look at the whole group.
“Now, you all didn’t think you going to get through this without being punished, now did you?” Spitfire’s breathing started to become sporadic. “I don’t want to kill you ponies, or Ricks people for that matter, I just to make that clear from the get-go. I want you to work for me, you can’t do that if you’re dead, now can you?” He paused for a moment. “I’m not growing a garden…”
Soarin, meanwhile had one objective in mind: Rainbow Dash. To protect her. He didn’t care what this guy said, he wasn’t hurting Rainbow, or any of his fellow ‘Bolts. Not on his watch.
Negan continued. “But you killed my men, a whole damn lot of them.” He glanced at Wave, then Soarin. “In fact, more men than I’m comfortable with. And for that, for that you gotta pay.” He looked up at his Saviors, his people. He knew some of them once had friends stationed at the observatory, this was going to be for them. He backed up into view of the whole group. “So now…”
“I’m gonna beat the holy hell outta one of you.”
He was going to kill one of them. The reality of the situation bitch-slapped Spitfire in the face, and it showed. Her pupils shrank, and her breathing became shaky. Nervously, she glanced around at her Wonderbolts. No, this couldn’t be how it ended, it just couldn’t be how it went down!
Negan swung his bat off his shoulder and flipped it once, before the “hard end” of the bat came to rest in his right hand. He got down on one knee to show Spitfire his prize. “You see this? This is Lucille, and she. Is. awesome!” He taunted, showing off his signature weapon. He got up and spoke to everyone. “All this… all this is so we can see who gets the honor of getting to know Lucille personally.” He grinned his evil grin. The ‘Bolts looked on in horror as he proceeded to walk in front of the group, gazing down hungrily.
He proceeded to walk in front of the group, slowly, making sure each step instilled fear in the ponies. Negan eventually got to the end of the line and glanced down at Calm Wind.
Calm didn't know why, but something made him raise his head up. He looked Negan square in the eye, as if saying:
Take me. Kill me, only me.
Negan just gave him a blank look for a moment, before smirking. He continued to look down at the Pegasus as he rubbed his stubble. He sighed. “I gotta shave this shit.” He turned around, completely ignoring Calms moment of bravery.
He walked to the other end of the group, and gazed at Matteo. “You're a pretty big fella, aren't you?” He laughed. “Damn, you gotta be at least twice the size of these other guys.” The Griffins expression remained in a scowl, unmoving.
“Shit dude, lighten up.” Negan suggested. “At least cry a little. I mean, don't you have kids?” Matteo's face shifted slightly. How did Negan know about his kids?
He walked to Matteo's right, glancing down at Misty Fly. She continued to stare him down, devoid of fear. Negan took a knee in front of her, and stared right back at her. “Jeez, looks like you run a train of its rails with that look.” Of course, Misty didn't hear him. “Mm, same as the griffin huh?”
He got up, and sighed. He good to honest didn't want to do this. The more he had to work for him, the better. But the Wonderbolts had to know who they were dealing with. They had to know that the Saviors were not to be underestimated.
He continued to walk down the line. Until he came to Fleetfoot. Looking down, he stared into her terrified eyes. “Je-sus, you look shitty.” He said quite honestly. Fleet wasn't looking like herself right now.
“How about we put you out of your misery right now?” He swung his bat up, but before he could say anything else, he heard a struggle to his left.
“NO, NO DAMMIT NO!!!” Calm was about to charge Negan when a Savior tackled him from behind and held a pistol to his head. Calm wouldn't have it. He struggled against the man's grip. “SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU DO IT I’LL KILL YOU!” It took two more Saviors to finally subdue him and get him back in line.
The Saviors leader just stood there and watched the whole scene with a grin on his face. He shook his head. “Okay, don't any of you try that again. I will shut that shit down, no exceptions.” He looked at Calm, whose face was smothered in boiling hot rage. Negan could tell. “The first ones free, it's an emotional moment. I get it.”
Get it? Calm thought, barely able to keep his anger in check. It felt his capillaries would burst any minute. He felt so hot with hate that you could probably cook an egg on his skin. He doesn't get anything, he doesn't get the chance to live if he touches Fleetfoot. He thought, the inner voices running rampant.
Negan smirked down at Spitfire. “It sucks don’t it? The moment you realize you don’t know shit.” He was torturing her with his confident tone, never faltering in his intimidation. Spitfire glanced at Wave. She just wanted this to be over, to be able to fall into Wave’s arms… to hold him… to kiss him…
Negan caught the way she looked at Wave, and looked at the blue pegasus himself. He furrowed his brow for a moment, before smiling in realization.
“Is this your boyfriend?” Negan asked, not even looking at Spitfire. He slowly walked up to Wave. “Oh ho ho yeah! This is definitely your boyfriend.” That pushed Spitfire over the edge. She couldn’t take any more.
“SO STOP THIS!!!” She suddenly shouted. How dare he threaten Wave Chill? If she weren’t surrounded by at least fifty armed men, she would tear this guy limb from limb.
“Hey!” Negan retaliated, fast-walking back to her. “Don’t make me kill your little fuck-buddy, don’t make it easy on me!” He sighed, glaring at Spitfire. “I gotta pick somebody, eeeeeverybody’s at the table waiting for me to order.” He referred to all of his men waiting patiently for Negan to finish. He began walking back and forth in front of the group. He whistled a very eerie tune, similar to the one Spitfire and the other ‘Bolts had heard in the woods.
He stopped walking and looked around at the whole group. “I simply cannot decide.” He put honestly, and shrugged. He put his back to the group, and faced the RV. Negan put two fingers up to his temple and massaged it. Then, he got an idea. An evil idea, an awful idea. Negan got an evil, awful idea. He turned around and faced the line-up with a big grin on his face. “I got an idea.”
He walked right to Spitfire, and pointed his bat down at her. “Eenie.” He started.
“Meenie.” He moved on to Fleetfoot.
“Mynie.” He pointed at Soarin’.
“Moe.”
“Catch.”
“A tiger.”
“By.”
“His toe.”
“If.”
“He hollers.”
“Let him go.”
“My mother.”
“Told me.”
“To pick.”
“The very.”
“Best.”
“One.”
“And you.”
“Are.”
“IT.”
He finally pointed his bat down at Misty Fly. His victim was chosen. There was nothing anybody could do about it. Fire Streak, he just watched. He refused to believe this was happening. Nothing, nothing about this could possibly be real. None of it. It couldn’t be. Misty Fly was going to die? No, that couldn’t happen. How could it happen? That was impossible.
Soarin' wouldn't have it. On a whim he stood, with a glare in his eyes. "No! You can’t do thi-." Negan immediately responded to Soarin.
"You sit your ass down!" He commanded. Soarin held firm before Negan walked right up to him and kneed him the jaw.
"Oof!" He fell backwards onto the road.
"Soarin!" Rainbow cried, coming to his aid. Negan pointed a finger down at the two.
"Make sure they stay down." He ordered. Immediately, several Saviors held the two lovers at gun point. With that out of the way, the baseball-wielding bastard walked back to Misty Fly. He gazed down at her in scrutiny.
“Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the fuck-buddy’s other eye out, and feed it to Spitfire. And then we’ll start. You can breath, you can blink, you can cry.” He said, as he raised his bat. “Hell, you’re all gonna be doin’ that.”
He swung it down, producing an earth-shattering CRUNCH. Blood flew everywhere, droplets getting all over Wave and Silver’s coats. Misty almost fell to the pavement, but managed to hold up. She was a hideous sight. Negan had swung the bat down so hard that he had popped one of her eyes out. It was just on the verge of falling out, part of her head had been caved in, exposing gray matter. It was a wonder she was still conscious.
Ever so slightly, she turned her head. She looked at Fire, who had waterfalls on his cheeks, and began to make signs.
“I love y-” Negan swung Lucille onto her head once more before she could finish. He had finished her for good. But he wasn’t done. Without hesitating, Negan brought Lucille back up and and brought her back down, and again, and again, and again. Each swing brought forth a gut-churning SCRUNCH.
But suddenly, he was done. Negan let Lucille dangle at his side by his fingers as he looked over his work. Misty’s head wasn’t even recognizable. It really was just a jumble of yellow flesh, meat and blood. Nothing about her face suggested that it was even the same pony. That’s how much Negan had destroyed her head.
“I’m going to kill you.”
“Hmm…?” Negan glanced at Spitfire. He had honestly expected her to be in tears, but instead a look of pure rage was on her face. He passed by Fire, who bawling his eyes out. He got down on a knee, and leaned into her. “Care to repeat?” He asked quietly.
“I’m going to kill you.” Spitfire replied matter-of-factly. “Not today, not tomorrow, but I will kill you.”
Negan just chuckled in amusement. “You know, it’s funny. Rick said the exact same thing, right after I killed his asian friend.” He rubbed his stubble in thought. He then glared, and really glared down at Spitfire.
“Tell Rick that he needs to get his shit together.” He put simply. “Tell him that if he doesn’t have his next offering by next week, I’ll kill one your precious ‘Bolts, and one of his people.” He continued his death stare. “And until then…” Negan glanced down at the dismembered body of Misty Fly. He turned, and walked back to the RV.
“...Ta-ta.” He said at last, leaving the Wonderbolts to grieve. His men got in their cars, while Negan took the RV, and they all drove back to the Sanctuary.
Spitfire, Fleetfoot, Soarin’, Rainbow Dash, Blaze, Calm Wind, Matteo, Wave Chill, and Silver Lining all sat on their haunches.
Silence reigned.
Fire Streak crawled up to the body of Misty Fly. He slowly placed a hoof on her cold back. His hoof became wet in her blood. He slowly stroked, back and forth, as if comforting her. As if she were still alive.
“I-I-I-I-” Fire was trying so hard to get the words out. “-love-” He swallowed hard on the lump in his throat. “-you.”
But that wasn’t enough. He had to say the whole phrase.
“I. Love. You.” Fire said shakily, before breaking out into another fit of tears.
