The First Day at Canterlot High

The sound of the bell ringing signaling for the round to start had made Eternal Flames turn around quickly and charge at his foe, which was his own cousin, Blueblood. He felt like he was in slow motion as he prepared to take him down with brute force. Blueblood was just standing at his corner not even remotely fazed by Eternal's furocity. Eternal was preparing to throw a few left jabs, but Blueblood immediately sprang out of his corner using his footwork. Obviously it was a battle between an in-fighter and out-boxer. Eternal kept charging at him hoping to land at least one shot at his cousin's face. But he gets countered by a right straight as he threw one of his lefts. But it didn't matter to him as he kept on pushing forward and kept jabbing away. This makes Blueblood frustrated and tries going all out to put out his cousin. But in his frustration he is attacked by a killer right uppercut, sending his head upwards and his mouthpiece flying into the air. Eternal Flames presses on the assault and starts shouting as he showers Blueblood with his dynamite punches. Blueblood's pummeled flesh drives Eternal to take it farther and decides to end Blueblood's misery by throwing his signature blow. Unfotunately the sound of the bell and some beeping noise interrupts him during his finishing blow.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Eternal shouted, jumping out of his bed, panting. He looks over to his right and turns off his alarm clock. He groans after he slams his head back on his pillow. "Why couldn't it have real? I almost had the title of "High School Boxing Champion" within my grasp, but of course that stupid cousin of mine got damn lucky with that lucky punch."

Eternal then jumps out of bed. He takes off his black tank top and puts on his shirt, which was a darker red then his long hair, which barely reached passed his shoulder blades. He then pull off his black sweats and tossed them on his bed. He puts on his tan pants and heads for the bathroom to get ready for his first day of school. He started brushing his teeth and combing his hair to get rid of his pillow head. He then proceeds to put on his deodorant before heading out to the kitchen to have breakfast. He looks over and sees his older brother, Blue Blaze getting ready to go to work.

Ever since Blue Blaze graduated high school, he started helping his dad, Royal Blaze, by becoming a co-owner to his company, which was a real estate agency. Eternal and his younger brother, Heat Wave, were happy for him. Blue Blaze was even engaged to be married to his fiance, Crimson Ruby.

"I made you a quick bite to eat before you head to school. But are you sure you want this? You hardly even know what kind of school it's like and I still think you should've stayed at Rogue High School." Blue Blaze said to his brother.

"Don't you even say the name of that hell hole, I can't stand them. All they do is decide my future for me instead of letting me build up my own future when I graduate." Eternal says before gulping down his breakfast, which was scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. He then washed it all down with a cup of water.

"Well, if that's how you feel, then I can't stop you. Just know I'm gonna be here for you in case you need me." Blue Blaze says as he walks towards his brother and pats him on the shoulder.

"Yeah, I know." Eternal says. 'Liar, you always end up staying at work until 12:00 A.M. If you're truly there for me, then you should at least show it to me, but I doubt that'll ever happen.' he thinks in his mind.

Eternal finally gets his backpack and heads out the door. He starts his jog towards school, which wasn't far at all. He was use to jogging long distances since he got a good workout during his summer vacation. He started thinking to himself as he was jogging towards Canterlot High on what it'll be like. He didn't care though as long as it wasn't like Rogue High School, which was an all boys private high school that never agreed with Eternal Flames' ambitions to find his own purpose in life. Finally after a 5 minute jog, he reached his destination. He wasn't exactly sure of what was in store on the inside, but he ventured forth. When he opened the doors, he's struck square in his face by a soccerball and loses his balance, falling down the flight of stairs and lands flat on his back.

"GAH!!! Half wolf in the side pocket there!" Eternal says out of random as he was dizzy from the blow to the face. His eyes begin to see straight and the first thing he sees is a girl with light blue skin and rainbow colored hair.

"Hey, sorry there dude. I didn't see you there. Are you alright?" she asks, extending her hand towards Eternal to help him up.

"Yeah, I'm use to taking shots to the face." Eternal says, reaching out to the girl's hand. She helps him stand up and dusts him off.

"Well, again, I'm sorry about that. My name is Rainbow Dash, how about you, buddy?"

"Eternal Flames, I just transferred here to Canterlot High today."

"Ah, then you came at the right time. Come on inside. Sunset's waiting to take you for a tour of the school."

"Sunset? Alright then." Eternal says, walking inside the school, following Rainbow Dash. Eternal then sees a girl with fiery red and yellow hair and a black leather jacket.

"You must be the new student who just transferred here. My name is Sunset Shimmer, it's nice to meet you." she says, extending her hand towards Eternal Flames.

"I'm Eternal Flames. It's a pleasure to meet you two." he says, shaking her hand.

"Anyways, you came just in time. As soon as I'm done showing you around the school, Principal Celestia will be waiting for you in her office, she has your class schedule ready." Sunset explains.

"Alright then, lead the wa-" Eternal pauses hearing what Sunset just said "Wait, did you say Principal Celestia?"

"Yeah, Principal Celestia. Why, do you know her?" Sunset asks with an eyebrow raised.

"Yes...but I'd rather tell you later when we got time. Right now, why don't we start with the tour?"

"Okay then." Sunset says.

After showing Eternal around Canterlot High, she leads him to Principal Celestia's office. Eternal gave Sunset his thanks for showing him around the school. Sunset then heads for her class, while Eternal entered the office. He sees a woman with white skin just like his, lavender eyes and rainbow hair, longer than Rainbow Dash's. Principal Celestia looks up at Eternal and smiles at him.

"I know this is only your first day in Canterlot High, but you're as punctual as ever when it comes to time, my son." Celestia says.

"Yeah, I decided to get an early start, this morning."

"Well, I have your schedule with me. Here." Celestia says, handing her son a schedule. He reads it and finds out what kind of classes he has throughout the day:

P.E 7:50 A.M to 8:35 A.M

Drivers Ed 8:40 A.M to 9:35 A.M

Algebra 1 9:40 A.M to 10:34 A.M

English 10:40 A.M to 11:15 A.M

Lunch 11:35 A.M to 12:10 P.M

Art 12:15 P.M to 1:05 P.M

Drama 1:10 P.M to 2:05 P.M

Eternal felt like he could actually adjust to this more flexible schedule. He thanked his mother and headed off to his class. Celestia followed him to his first class so that she could introduce him. Luckily for both of them, the others were in the gym, dressed up in their gym clothes or in their work out clothes. They saw the Principal and the new student.

"Everyone, I'd like to introduce you all to a new student who'll be joining you from here on out." Celestia says to the entire gym class. "Go ahead, Eternal, introduce yourself." Celestia says quietly towards her son. He walks up to them.

"I'm pleased to meet you all. My name is Eternal Flames." he says

"Also, to make things more interesting. I hope you enjoy your last few high school years here, my son." Celestia says, after she walks up to her son, patting him on the shoulder.

"WHAT?!?!?!" the class shouts.

"Wait, you're Principal Celestia's kid?!" Rainbow Dash asks all shocked.

"Well, I'll be darned. Ah, never knew Celestia had a son!" Applejack says

After introductions were over with, Celestia headed back to her office and Eternal Flames went to the boys locker room to change. He comes out wearing his workout clothes which was a black jump suit only to get confronted by a girl with pink poofy hair.

"Hi there, my name is Pinkie Pie, party thrower extraordinair! It's always a pleasure to meet you, Eternal Flames." she says quickly while shaking Eternal's hand rapidly. She finally let's go after a few seconds

"Nice to meet you, too, Pinkie Winkie" Eternal says all dizzy and trying to relax his hand. He hears Pinkie go into a giggle fit along with some of the classmates. "What, what? What did I say, what's so funny?"

"She said her name's Pinkie Pie, darling. You called her "Pinkie Winkie." Rarity says.

"Oh...sorry about that. I'll try to remember that when I'm not so shooken up from a hand shake." Eternal says

"Alright, students. Listen up!" shouts coach Spitfire. "Today, we're going to be trying something a little different today. The good news is, it's not 6 laps around the football field. The bad news is, this'll require throwing some punches. That's right. Today we're going to be practicing the good ol' fashion art of boxing."

Eternal's eyes light up after hearing this. He clenches his fists while at the same time put on a face making him look like he was ready to open a serious can of whoop-ass. Spitfire notices Eternal getting tensed up and walks straight towards him.

"Lookin' to start boxing right now, huh big guy? Well you're in luck, because we got a whole 45 minutes. So be prepared or you'll end up flat on the mats. You got that soldier?" Spitfire asks.

"Yes ma'am." Eternal says with a determined look on his face. Spitfire lead the students outside where there were a total of 5 boxing rings set up on the field. Spitfire then paired up 10 of the students to spar with each other as follows:

Applejack vs Rainbow Dash

Flash Sentry vs Snails

Snips vs Trixie

Sunset Shimmer vs Pinkie Pie

Eternal Flames vs Bulk Biceps

During their sparring sessions, Applejack and Rainbow were giving it their all. It could even be a draw. Flash Sentry was dominating against Snails with body blows and hooks. Trixie was just throwing simple jabs seeing as how Snips wasn't keeping his guard up, trying to land at least one punch. Sunset was trying to catch up with Pinkie who was moving to each corner of the ring at lightning speed and both haven't even landed a single punch. Meanwhile, Eternal Flames was up against the rops with Bulk Biceps trying to land hard shots to the face but Eternal kept his guard up. Eternal saw an opening after a few seconds of being showered with punches. Bulk was about to throw a right uppercut, but his swing became too wide which made Eternal dash out of the corner and landed threw a killer corkscrew right punch into Bulk's chest causing him to become paralized. After this Eternal throws a left hook and sends him to sinking into the mat. The sparring matches went on for a good 3 minutes until the rings signaling the end of the sparring matches.

"You okay? Can you stand up?" Eternal asks trying to help Bulk up.

"YEAH!!! NICE PUNCH LITTLE MAN!!!" Bulk says jumping up and patting Eternal on the shoulder.

"Okay then, thanks for the fight. You're not so bad a fighter yourself."

"THANK YOU, LITTLE MAN!"

"Okay, you two, That's enough back patting. It's time to give the rest of the newbies a chance to fight in the ring." Spitfire says.

"Yes, coach Spitfire." Eternal and Bulk say in unison.

Eternal then watches as the other students duke it out. Some of them were too nervous to even throw a punch. Others were throwing punches not even in the book. Eternal didn't think it was boxing, but more of an ameteur street fight. While he was watching these sparring sessions, he got confronted by Sunset and her friends.

"Darling, I saw that fight you had with Bulk and I just wanted to ask, how'd you do that?" Rarity asked.

"HEY! What about me? I was dodging Sunset's punches!" Pinkie says

"You didn't even THROW a punch, Pinkie. That was a sparring match, not a dance studio." Sunset says to Pinkie all frustrated.

"And I almost had Applejack sinking to the mat if that damn bell didn't ring." Rainbow Dash says with her arms crossed.

"Gimme a break Rainbow, yer knees were bucklin' when I landed those body shots. You were the one who almost got knocked out and you can't escape that truth." Applejack replied.

"Oh yeah? How about after school, we settle it once and for all?" Rainbow says at Applejack's face.

"Yer on sister! But I ain't holdin' back next time!" Applejack replies.

"Heh, they kind of remind me of my bitter rivalry with my cousin." Eternal says with a smirk.

"Y...You have a cousin? What's his name...oh, um...if...you don't mind me asking, that is?" Fluttershy asks softly.

"Oh, his name is Blueblood. He's a top student at my old high school called "Rogue High School," a private high school for boys." Eternal says to Fluttershy smile. The girls jaws all dropped.

"ROGUE HIGH SCHOOL?!" shouted the girls.

"Oh, you're quite the lucky guy. I'll bet it's like paradise over there, darling." Rarity says with lidded eyes.

"No, it's not." Eternal says with a frown. "I left that place for a reason. I thought I could find myself a career during my years at Rogue High School, but they ended up deciding my future in a career I don't like, scratch that, a career I don't even know about." Eternal says looking down at the ground clenching his fists.

"Wait, was it really that bad?" Sunset asks, getting a nod from Eternal. "I see. I'm sorry to hear that. But hey, at least now you're a student at Canterlot High School."

"Yeah, I know. It's only my first day, though, but so far my first class is feels warm and welcoming." Eternal says.

"OH! Speaking of welcoming, I forgot to throw you a welcoming party!" Pinkie says before dashing off at lightning speed.

"How the hell did she move that fast? Is she on a sugar rush or something?" Eternal asks the girls.

"We try not to question it. Plus, she's always on a sugar rush." Twilight says.

"Well, if you say so." Eternal says.

"By the way, darling, you said you had a bitter rivaly with your cousin, Blueblood. So what exactly does he look like?" Rarity asks.

"He has the same skin color as me, but his eye color is more like Sunsets. He's got blonde hair. As for what his personality is like, he's uptight and he disrespects people who can't defend themselves or get a job makes millions." Eternal says still frowning.

"Typical snooty blonde teenager all absorbed in his so-called "life of luxury," seriously what is it with those people?" Rainbow Dash asks with her arms crossed.

"Even I don't know. But I plan to one day be the crap out of him. I lost to him once during my freshman year. But i'm going to annialate him with my two bare hands." Eternal says throwing a one-two style punch.

Gym had finally ended for the day. Eternal and the girls carried on with their own daily high school schedules. He felt like Canterlot High hasgiven him a second chance, even though he's in his junior year in high school. The school day had finally near his end but what was strange was that most of the students weren't going home. Eternal thought it was strange, so he followed them to where they were all going and then saw them going into the gym. He raised an eyebrow and went inside and soon jumped to the sound of party poppers, party cannons and everyone shouting "surprise."

"WHOA!!!" Eternal shouts. "What's going on here? Is this for some special occasion?"

"Of course, silly. It's your welcoming party. I mean, you just got transferred here today and whenever someone new transfers to Canterlot High School, I want to throw them a party to help them feel more at home, which kinda sounds crazy, seeing as how this is a school and not actually a house bu-" Pinkie then gets cut off by Eternal's hand.

"I think I get the picture, Pinkie. Thanks for throwing this party for me. But even if you didn't throw a party for me, Canterlot still helped made me feel like I had welcomed." Eternal said giving Pinkie a quick hug. "Thank you very much, Pinkie Pie."

"You're welcome, Eternal" Pinkie says hugging him back. "Now come on and enjoy the party."

So far, Eternal's first day at Canterlot High was one had gone out with a bang. New friends, new start and a new life.

Meanwhile

Back in Rogue High School, Blueblood was in the training room doing jump ropes. The door soon opened revealing Principal Sombra.

"Blueblood." Sombra called.

"Yes, Principal Sombra?"

"I have some news from your coach about your professional career in boxing."

"Please, by all means, explain."

The Announcement

"Here's the announcement about your professional boxing career." Sombra says to Blueblood. "You see, you'll have to win at least one last match in your amateur career before you can even turn pro, and for your last opponent, he's a familiar fellow who faced you when you BOTH transferred here on your first day."

"Are you talking about my cousin, Eternal Flames? I already beat him once before, why should I beat him again?" Blueblood says wiping off the sweat from his face with his towel.

"I knew you'd say that. Come along with me. I have some footage of the match you both got in." Sombra says.

Blueblood and Sombra finally head over to Sombra's office where they see coach Iron Will waiting for them both.

"Well it's about time you got here. I've been meaning to show you this tape, champ." Iron Will says flashing the VCR.

The three of them started watching the video on Eternal's and Blueblood's match. By that time, Eternal had a total of 137 matches, 120 wins (100 by K.O), 6 losses and 11 draws. Blueblood on the other hand had a 110 matches, 100 wins, (70 by K.O) and 10 losses. The fight was carrying on with Eternal charging straight forward and slamming punches into his ribs and gut. In the later rounds, Blueblood decided he was going to duke it out with Eternal, but just couldn't match up against him. While watching this fight, Blueblood was gripping his shirt sleeve in anger and spite. But he feels a bit calm as the video reached near the end with Eternal being struck with a lucky right arc punch to the face knocking him down to the canvas. Sombra then stopped the video.

"You see, you might've beaten him back during your freshman year, but the truth is, you were struggling to stay standing. This isn't exactly excusable to some boxers. But hey, it's up to you if you want to start your pro career, now." Sombra says to Blueblood.

'Hmm, he's right. I can try to deny it all I want, but I never felt so humiliated when he kept coming straight at me. I suppose I could sink him straight into mat one last time. But this time, I'm not gonna let him get close to me......although.....' Blueblood thought and then spoke, "Alright Sombra, I've decided. Tell Eternal Flames that I'm willing to settle our grudge match once and for all. But I want you to know this." Blueblood says walking towards the window.

"What would that be, my star student?" Sombra asks.

"If I am to lose this match, whether by decision or knockout, I will no longer pursue any boxing career. I will officially retire." Blueblood says looking towards Sombra, making him and Iron Will gasp.

"So it's come to that, huh? Very well then. But know that even if you do lose, you'll have our school proud knowing that you fought your heart out in the ring. But the career you want to pursue will be something you have to decide for yourself." Sombra says.

One week later

It was lunchtime at Canterlot High School and Eternal was enjoying a burger and a side salad. He was sitting alone, but he didn't sit alone because he felt left out, he just chose to sit alone since that's how he is. He soon felt a light tap on his shoulder making him turn around and see his mother, Principal Celestia.

"I have something that I want to show you. It's very important." Celestia says

"Wait, I'm not in trouble, am I?" Eternal asks.

"No, you're not. It's more about your amateur high school boxing career." Celestia says flashing an envelope. Eternal recognizes what it is and is immediately handed the envelope. He opens it and sees it's a challenge to one last fight with his cousin, Blueblood.

"Principal Celestia, I want to accept this match right away. Blueblood and I have a score to settle in the ring and I want to take on this challenge as soon as possible." Eternal says

"You sure about this, Eternal? I know you have a steady record, but I still feel like you should consider the dangers if you continue to get pummeled out there. You know that there are even amateur boxers who had to retire because of the permanant brain damage from taking too many hits to the face." Celestia says, looking at her son with a worried expression.

"I know it's dangerous, mom. But I have to do this. If this fight messes me up, whether I win, lose, or end it in a draw, then that just means this is as far as I was meant to go." Eternal says, looking at his mother.

"Okay, but promise me this." Celestia says before earning a nod from her son. "Promise me that you'll stop your amateur boxing career if you end up suffering permanant brain damage." she says with a tear in her eyes.

"You have my word." Eternal says befor he hugs her. "You also have my other promise, where if I lose the match, by knockout or decision, and whether I have brain damage or not, I will officially retire."

"Okay. I'll contact Rogue High School and let them know you're accepting the challenge." Celestia says before she walks out of the cafeteria and towards her office. After Celestia was long gone, Sunset and her friends headed over to Eternal asking him about what Celestia and him were talking about.

"I got a request for a boxing match and I just accepted it. But I have a feeling it might, just might, mess up my brain if I get too reckess this time in the ring." Eternal says.

"What do you mean? Who asked to fight you?" Sunset asks.

"Blueblood" Eternal replies.

"Your own cousin, darling?" Rarity asks after she gasps.

"Yeah, and it's no surprise why my mom is worried." Eternal says.

"I'd be worried too, if I was Principal Celestia." Fluttershy says.

"No kiddin' partner. From what I can tell in yer eyes, I'll betcha you've been in some bone chillin' fights that probably rattled yer brain, even if you were still IN the ring." Applejack said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah." Eternal says before he stands up.

"Wait, where are you going?" Twilight asks.

"I gotta do some roadwork out on the football field. I gotta make sure I don't slack off, otherwise I won't be at full strength and stamina otherwise I'll either fall flat on the mats or flunk the weigh-in." Eternal says.

"Hmm, maybe I should take up a career in boxing. But I figure I should be a professional boxer." Rainbow Dash says.

"Be careful, Rainbow Dash. Boxing isn't to be taken lightly. There are consequenses if you're not careful. But you take up whatever career you want, it's all up to you." Eternal says placing his hand on her shoulder. He then takes off to the football field to start his roadwork.

"I don't get it, why would men play such a savage sport that could ultimately harm them?" Rarity asks. "It just doesn't make sense if you ask me at all."

"Actually, boxin' ain't too bad when y'all think about it. I mean take a look and Rainbow, Sunset and I. We were havin' loads o' fun during those sparring matches." Applejack says.

"You mean you and Rainbow Dash, Pinkie just wouldn't stop running around and not even try to punch me." Sunset says, looking at Pinkie with a bored expression.

"Hey! I couldn't help it, I was having too much fun." Pinkie said.

Meanwhile at Rogue High School

Principal Sombra was in his office, signing some papers. While he was working, the phone rang. He answers.

"Hello, this is Principa Sombra of Rogue High School. To whom do I owe the pleasure of speaking to?" Sombra asks.

"Hello, Principal Sombra. This is Principal Celestia. I'm calling from Canterlot High to tell you that I recieved your request for the match between Blueblood and Eternal Flames." said Celestia over the phone.

"I see, and what would be your response?" Sombra asks.

"Eternal says he accepts the challenge. Where and when should the match be held?" Celestia asks.

"We'd like to set it up 2 weeks from now, and let's have it held at Canterlot High. You can pick where we can set up the ring. Does that sound okay to you?" Sombra asks.

"Yes, sir. Thank you for your time." Celestia says before both her and Sombra hang up.

Moments later, Sombra calls in Blueblood telling him about when and where the match will be held. Blueblood then smirks as he knows that he can finally settle this grudge match once and for all. Only this time...It's all or nothing.

The Weigh-In

Eternal Flames had been working hard training himself for the match. For about a week and a half, he started waking up extremely early each morning at 4 A.M having a quick apple before he started jogging around the city until 6:30 A.M. After that, he'd jog off to school. But even though he trained for his match, he never neglected his school studies. He wasn't worried about failing since he always had strict study sessions back at his old high school. During lunch, he'd always munch on just a small side salad and an apple. Once he's done, he'd rush over to the weight room bench pressing, doing push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and shadow boxing until his free period was over and then continue his regular daily schedule. When his day is done, he'd always jog home, have a quick bite on some meat and veggies whipped up by his older sister-in-law, Crimson Ruby, then he'd take a quick shower, and then repeat the process the next day.

Blueblood on the other hand also trained hard every day. He never neglected his studies either, but he was training far more intensely by punching the sand bag or shadow boxing while he was in the training room with a couple of boiling kettles and heat fans. Blueblood knew he was a few pounds over the weight limit, so he had to drop back down. Blueblood also started training his abdomen so that he won't have to feel the pain from those body blows from his cousin. He knew very well that his abdomen was his weak spot and he had to toughen it up for the day he'd face Eternal again. Blueblood also decided to do some roadwork, but only around the entire school. He seldom paid attention to what time he got up or went to sleep. Sometimes, he'd oversleep and wouldn't care about it.

Finally, the day came for them to start the weight in. Both fighters were in the waiting room with their coaches: Eternal Flames with coach Panja, and Blueblood with coach Iron Will. Vice Principal Luna was in charge of weighing the fighters.

"Eternal Flames, you're first." said Luna. Eternal then walked up and stood on the scale. Luna proceeded to calculate his weight. "Eternal Flames, you weigh 147 pounds. You qualify for the match." Eternal nods at her statement and steps off to get dressed since he had to strip until he only had his boxers on. "Blueblood, you're up next." Luna says. Blueblood then walks up and steps on the scale. As he does this, Luna calculates his weight. "Blueblood, you weigh 150 pounds. You also qualify to compete in the match." Luna says, making Blueblood nod and walk off the scale.

"Not too bad, kiddo. In tip-top form as usual." Panja says to Eternal.

"I took a few precautions preparing for this fight." Eternal says to Panja. His attention is soon brought to Blueblood after he taps him lightly on the shoulders. "What do you need?"

"Just now that this match will be different than the last time we fought." Blueblood says. "I hope you've improved after these past couple of years, my cousin."

"Don't you worry. You won't be disappointed." Eternal replies before he extends his hand. "Shall we shake on it?"

"I see no problem with it." Blueblood says before shaking hands with his cousin.

"Well, now that the weigh-in is done, what do you boys say to a nice quick bite to eat? My treat." Luna says. Both Eternal and Blueblood nod and walk outside the weight room fully dressed and ready to go.

When they arrived at this restaurant, Principal Celestia and her husband, Royal Blaze, who was wearing his black business suit, were waiting at the entrance. Eternal smiled and waved at his parents and was a bit surprised seeing as how his own father was able to take the time off of his busy schedule to spend some quality time with his own family. Everyone went inside this all-you-can-eat buffet, Luna and Celestia paid the cashier while guys waited on them patiently, and all the while, the two fighters smiled at their moms. Eternal knows it's been a long time ever since Blueblood moved into Rogue High School. It was the same for Eternal since he hadn't seen his own brothers or parents weeks ago. The families took their seats, which was at the window.

They each got their food and proceeded to talk about what's been going on. Celestia and Luna had both been dealing with certain "events" that went on with school. But they never specified it towards the guys since they were all skeptics. Blueblood mentioned to Luna how he had become a top student in his school. It was similar to Eternal when he talked to his dad, but he said this girl named Twilight was the top student, but luckily he was nearly at the same level. Royal Blaze had gotten held up at his appointments with people who were looking into buying new houses. From what he tells his wife and son, business has never been better, especially with Blue Blaze's help.

"I'm just so proud to see the family is really growing up, but what about Heat Wave?" Celestia asks.

"He asked me to train him so he won't have to deal with bullies stuffing him in lockers." Eternal says. "I know he's been through a lot during his 2nd year at Crystal Prep, so I couldn't just say no. I also told him that if he wants, he could transfer to Canterlot High since the people over there are much more friendly."

"I think that sounds like a great idea. Has he had any thoughts on it?" Celestia asks.

"He's probably sold on the idea already." Eternal says.

"Crystal Prep, huh? I haven't heard from that place since Crabblesnitch resigned as the principal." Blueblood says.

"Well, there were certain "events" that happened at the Friendship Games that made her resign, my son." Luna says.

"Events" such as?" Eternal asks.

"Well we don't exactly have any photographic proof, but maybe one of your friends does. You can ask them tomorrow when you have some time to spare." Celestia says.

"Alright then." Eternal says.

"Tell me, son. Ever since you transferred to Canterlot High, have you found yourself a girlfriend yet?" Royal Blaze asks.

"No, I've been too focused on this fight and my studies to worry about dating." Eternal says.

"I'm proud of you, son. Studies and exercise are good for the mind and body, but sometimes it can leave some pent-up stress that needs to be taken away, especially with the help of a lovely lady." Royal Blaze says, patting his son on the back.

"I'll think about it later, but right now, why don't we finish eating?" Eternal says.

If there's one thing that really made Eternal happy, it's the fact that he got to spend some time with his parents. He knows that his dad had a really schedule when it comes to real estate. He practically sees his mom and aunt every day now, but he couldn't exactly say the same for his cousin, Blueblood, since he never gets to see Luna. After dinner was done, Luna drove her son back home, while Celestia and Royal Blaze drove their son back to his older brother's house.

However, when they drove up into the driveway, they all noticed a girl with fiery long hair. If anything, Eternal knew who it was so he stepped out of the car and approached her.

"Sunset?" Eternal asks.

"Eternal, there you are!" Sunset says, hugging him. "Where were you?"

"I was having dinner with mom and dad." Eternal says. "What brings you here?"

"Well, you see, I wanted to talk to you about something, but can we talk in private?" Sunset asks.

"Okay sure." Eternal says before turning towards his parents. "Mom, dad, I'm gonna go inside and talk with Sunset."

"Okay, son. I'll leave you to your "talk" with your "friend" Royal Blaze says, making Eternal blush and glare at him.

"Honey, don't tease him." Celestia says, elbowing her husband. Eternal and Sunset walk inside and into Eternal's bedroom. Eternal locked the door and sat near his desk.

"So what is it you wanted to talk about?" Eternal asks.

"Well, you see, it's about the fight and you. I'm worried that you'll get hurt. I know you fought a lot in the ring, but don't you think you should retire while you're still ahead? You won't have to deal with brain damage."

"I already gave mother my word that if I lose, or win but have brain damage at the end of the fight, I'd retire. But if I won and I don't have brain damage, I'm going to keep on going until I either graduate or if I do get brain damage."

"That's too risky! How do you think your family feels knowing that you're risking your life up there in that ring?"

"Sunset, what happens between me and my family is my burden to bare."

"Sorry about that. I just don't want to lose my closest friend."

"Even I know for a fact that losing a friend is no joke. But I can assure you, that no matter what happens to me up on that ring, I will come back to you guys."

".....E...Eternal?"

"Yeah?"

"I.....I....." Sunset paused for a moment and then lunged at Eternal and wrapped her arms around him taking him by surprise "I love you, Eternal Flames, I realized it for quite some time." Eternal then returned her hug by wrapping his arms around her. She looked up at Eternal's sapphire eyes.

"I love you too, Sunset Shimmer." As he said this, they both leaned into each other until their lips connected. It felt like an eternity as they shared their passionate kiss. Now it didn't matter if Eternal lost or won, because all he wants to do after the fight is return to his family, friends, and his new lover.

Sunset and Eternal then parted lips making them stare at each other with their newfound love. The moment was then interrupted by a knock on the door making them both jump.

"Hey son, your mom and I are heading home, I'll catch you later" Royal Blaze said from behind the door.

"Okay, bye dad!" Eternal shouts back.

"Well, Eternal. I hope you'll do well out there when you enter the ring. The girls and I will be cheering you on." Sunset says.

"Thanks, Sunset. I'll give it my all."

"Oh and um...is it okay if I stay the night here?"

"Well, since my brother is at a hotel with his fiance and they're planning on going out gambling, I'm okay with it. Where do you want to sleep, on the couch or in my room?"

"Well, if it isn't too much trouble, could I sleep in your room...and maybe...with you on your bed." she asks, making both of them blush since Eternal has never slept with a girl in bed, let alone his own bed. He then answers her with a simple nod.

The rest of the night went on well. The two of them stayed in the living room watching some movies and cuddling on the couch. Sunset and Eternal watched an action movie, a romantic movie, and a horror movie. Eternal had held Sunset close to him, letting her rest her bute little head on his shoulders. Finally, after the movies were over, they headed both had their showers, and got dressed for bed. Eternal went after Sunset since she was his guest. The two then wrapped themselves up in his blankets and went to sleep.

The Day of the Match

Eternal Flames had woken up to the sound of birds chirping. It was a beautiful Saturday morning. He was about to get up and stretch, but his chest was pinned by one of Sunset's arms as she was still fast asleep. He looked at her and could hear cute snores from her. He smiled at her since she looked so peaceful.

'N'aww, she's just so cute.' He said in his mind. Eternal then decided not to wake her up and laid back down, watching her sleep. Eternal was really happy knowing that he had such a beautiful new lover who really cared about him. It wasn't until 5 minutes later that Sunset's cute little snores ended as she opened her eyes to see her lover staring right at her with his sapphire eyes.

"Morning, hun." she said softly, rubbing her eyes.

"Morning, babe." He replied back, softly.

"So, today's the day, huh?"

"Yeah, but the match doesn't start until later on at 5 PM so we got plenty of time."

"Well what should we do to pass the time?"

"I was thinking of probably taking a little stroll around town. A good walk always calms my nerves."

"Okay, sure. Can we bring the other girls along?"

"The more the marrier, as long as they're not too busy."

"OH, that reminds me, we gotta tell them about us."

"Yeah, you're right. But first I need to change into some clean clothes."

"Okay, I'll wait for you out in the living room."

"Okay babe."

Sunset then jumped out of bed and walked out of his room, closing the door. Eternal proceeded to head towards his closet and removed his pajamas, minus the boxers. He put on a short sleeve black shirt and blue jeans. After this is done, he straightened out his long red hair with his comb to get rid of his bed head.

Sunset was in the living room changing out of the pajamas Eternal had leant her and put on her regular outfit. She then sat on the couch watching one of Eternal's movies. Sunset was feeling both happy and worried. She was in love with Eternal and she couldn't wait to tell her friends about this. But she doesn't feel comfortable with her new boyfriend risking his life in the ring over a grudge match. She then hears footsteps from behind her and looks to see Eternal all dressed up and ready to go.

"Well, whenever you're ready, lets head out." Eternal says.

"Hey, Eternal, could we just go to Sugar Cube Corner?"

"Well, I don't see why not, but I can't have anything sweet. I gotta watch what I eat before the match."

"Okay, I'm gonna call the girls so we can meet them there." Sunset then takes out her phone and calls them. 10 minutes later, they all arrived at Sugar Cube Corner.

"This...is...AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash says. "I can't wait to see the match tonight!"

"Me too, and I still can't believe the entire school is gonna be watchin' as well as Rogue High School." Applejack says.

"I heard Crystal Prep is gonna watch it as well." Twilight says.

"So darling, what was it that you wanted to tell us about, besides the fight?" Rarity asked.

"Well you see girls...me and Eternal...we...um...he's my new boyfriend." Sunset says with a slight shade of red on her cheeks.

"WHAT?!" shouted the girls.

"Oh...my...I...I didn't know you liked him that much." Fluttershy said.

"I did! Now I see why the writer of this story added the "Romance" genre in here." Pinkie said.

"Wait, what?" Eternal said all confused.

"The writer of this story added "Romance" to it. Look at the very top of the screen, silly." Pinkie said.

"I don't know what the hell you're talking about, Pinkie, but that's something only YOU can see." Eternal said.

"But anyways, congrats on gettin' together, partner." Applejack says.

"Thanks, AJ. By the way, what made Crystal Prep decide to watch the match between Blueblood and I?"

"Well from what I've heard, they got invited by Principal Celestia. Since Cadance is now the new principal of Crystal Prep, Celestia didn't see a reason why she shouldn't invite Cadance and the rest of the school." Twilight says.

"My younger brother goes there. But he's thinking about transferring to Canterlot High." Eternal says.

"What's his name?" Twilight asks.

"Heat Wave." he replies.

"Oh, I know him. I see him every weekend. Well...to tell you the truth...he and I started dating ever since I came back from our field trip from Camp Everfree." Twilight says, blushing.

"That's good to hear. I told him he'd find someone special. He's as lucky as I am." Eternal says.

"What do you mean?" Sunset asks.

"He had a thing bookworms, and he's pretty lucky to have found himself a cute bookworm for a girlfriend. But you, I'm lucky to have you as my own sweetheart. You're smart, funny, beautiful, and you're kinda cute, especially you make those cute snores at night." Eternal says before he winks at Sunset, making her blush.

"Aww" said the girls.

"Hey don't mention that. You're gonna make me blush." Sunset says, giving Eternal a playful push.

"Too late, I just did." he says before he chuckles. "Well, I'd better go see the coach. I gotta get my boxing gear. I'll see you girls later when we get to Canterlot High." He then gets up and makes his way towards the exit while waving to the girls as they waved back.

It is now 4:30 P.M and nearly every student from Canterlot High, Crystal Prep, and Rogue High were gathered at the football stadium at Canterlot High School. There were fold-up chairs outside the ring covering every corner. The stadium was being filled at a rapid pace while the two fighters were inside the school with their coaches.

"Now remember what happened the last time you fought." Panja said. "Remember where you came from."

"Yes sir." Eternal said, while he focused his attention at the door leading to the outside.

"Now remember, show him that you got the eye of the tiger! You're the champ, he's just a man." Iron Will says to Blueblood

"Yes sir!" Blueblood said.

Finally, it was time to head out. Eternal Flames went with his coach first, and as he went out the lights fell onto his eyes, but he ignores it and continues to step forward. He got a few cheers from most of the crowd. Finally, he stepped into the ring, wearing nothing but his boxing gloves, red trunks and red in-fighter shoes. Then came in the amateur high school boxing champion, Blueblood. He walked out with a confident smirk on his face looking like he already won the match. There were a few cheers and a few jeers. As he approached the ring, he grabbed onto the ropes, pulled them back and launched himself over them and into the ring. Principal Celestia had stepped into the ring with a microphone getting ready to announce the fight.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Canterlot High School and tonight's main event! 4 whole rounds of boxing for the amateur welterweight championship of the world! In the blue corner, the challenger, weighing 147 pounds, from Canterlot High School, the "Fiery Fists of Fury" Eternal Flames!" Celestia says jestering towards her son as he raises his right fist up. "In the red corner, weighing 150 pounds, from Rogue High School, the "Prince of the Ring," the reining amateur welterweight champion of the world, Blueblood!" She says, jestering her nephew who starts raising both his hands up jumping up and down with a smile. "Now we will go to referee, Luna." soon Celestia steps out of the ring while the two fighters gather to the center with Luna talking to them.

"Okay boys, I'm only going to say this. Watch your low blows, and your rabbit punches. In case of a knock down, you go to your neutral corner and stay there until I tell you to come out. Is that understood?" Luna asks, earning a simple a nod from both fighters. "Alright then, back to your corners, lets go."

"This time, I've got something in store for you when the bell rings." Blueblood says before he turns around and heads to his corner.

"Fine by me" replies Eternal, before walking back to his corner.

"Looks like this amateur bout is already heating up, and it could go either way! Will it be Blueblood who retains the title, or will the Prince of the Ring surrender his crown AND title to the Fiery Fists of Fury, Eternal Flames?" The announcer asks. "And now, the start of the first round has started right....." the announcer pauses for a moment until finally he hears the bell ".....NOW!"

The Champion

"The bell has rung to start the first round and...WHAT'S THIS?!" The announcer asks. as he witnesses both Blueblood and Eternal Flames charge straight at each other about to throw their lefts. They do so simultaneously causing their fists to slam against each other. "Unbelievable, the champion is going to in-fight. This is definetly not the Blueblood we've seen in his previous bouts folks!"

While the announcer continues to blab out what's happened, Eternal and Blueblood start throwing their left jabs at each other at blazing speed dodging and blocking trying to land the first shot. Each time they were running low on breath, they backed off a little and charged at each other again and repeated the same process. The crowds were going wild with cheers as they witnessed both fighters launching blow after blow after blow. Finally, Blueblood landed the first shot straight into Eternal's temple with a left hook. However, Eternal lessened the damage by twisting his neck to the right. This trick helped him and continued his assault. Blueblood kept trying to land some hard punches on Eternal, but he kept repeating the neck twisting trick to soften the blows. Eventually, Blueblood got reckless and started to swing wide with a right straight hoping to bring Eternal to his knees.

"NO, BLUEBLOOD! IT'S A TRAP!!!" Iron Will shouts

'Gotcha!' Eternal shouted internally. Eternal then charged straight at Blueblood as Blueblood threw a right straight. Eternal ducked under it and extended his left arm to where it'd hit Blueblood directly on the face. Eternal threw a left counterpunch towards Blueblood's jaw making him lose his balance and fly backwards, slamming to the ground flat on his back.

"DOWN!" Luna shouts getting in front of Eternal. "Get to your neutral corner!"

Eternal proceeded to do so. The crowd was uproaring with cheers. He looked over at his fallen foe who had taken a full force counterpunch straight to the face.

"ONE...TWO...THREE" Luna shouted.

Blueblood was still concious, but he wasn't sure what happened.

'Wha...why am I staring at the sky? It, does look beautiful, though.' Blueblood said in his mind.

"SIX..." Luna continued

Blueblood then snapped out of it and proceeded to stand up.

"I...I can still fight!" Blueblood says putting up a fighting stance in front of Luna. She nods and lets the fight continue. 'I don't know what happened, but I'm going to take you down!' he says in his thoughts before charging at Eternal. Eternal charged at him as well. As they approached each other, Blueblood's legs started to buckle before he could throw a left jab. He loses his balance and Eternal sent Blueblood's head tilting upwards with a right uppercut. Blood squirted out of his mouth and his mouthpiece came out as well. Eternal pressed on with a steady barrage of left jabs and right straights. During half of the assault, Blueblood kept a tight guard. 'Why did my legs give out all of a sudden, and why can't I move fast? Did he get me?' He says in his thoughts again.

'You've got quite the tight guard, I'll give you that, cousin. But playing defense alone isn't enough.' Eternal says in his mind while he kept showing Blueblood with punches. 'to win...you must....ATTACK!' he shouts in his mind and he lunges a hard right body blow which breaks through his guard. Blueblood coughed up a bit more blood, only this time, a few drops land on Eternal's cheek. However, Blueblood was able to catch his second wind and throws a liver blow to Eternal. Eternal felt the pain and grunted, trying not to lower his guard.

The bell then rings to signal the end of the first round, both fighters head back to their neutral corners.

"Alright, you did good out there, just don't get too crazy and you'll have won the title." Panja says to Eternal

"You kept your guard up to the end, but now you gotta give him pain FAR worse than he gave you." Iron Will says to Blueblood.

Both of the coaches help rince out their mouths to get rid of any blood that's lingering inside. They spit it out into their buckets and have their mouth pieces placed back in. After a whole minute, both fighters' coaches stepped outside the ring and watched as their fighters charged at each other again. They pressed on their assault throwing punches left and right from each angle. From jabs to straights to hooks and to uppercuts never letting up. Eternal didn't realize it when he then threw a reckless left arc punch and ended up getting hit by a hard right punch to the face. He didn't have enough time to use the neck twisting trick, and even if he did, he couldn't use it. His back hit the ropes as he got hit, and then got showered by Blueblood's signature hooks. Eternal loses conciousness after being hit by Blueblood's 7th hook even though Blueblood never stopped his assault. The pummeling continued with Blueblood combining his hooks to the face with body blows, making Eternal spit out blood onto the canvas. Luna then intervened getting in between the boys.

"Neutral corner, now!" Luna shouts, making Blueblood head for a corner. Eternal was leaning against the ropes unconcious with blood hanging from his mouth and bruises all over his stomach. "ONE...TWO...THREE...FOUR...FIVE..." Luna continued with the counting while Eternal was panting trying to catch his second wind.

'What the hell happened?' Eternal says in his thoughts. 'damn it...I can hear a count...am I down?' Finally, he regained conciousness 'Wait, what the hell?!' he shouts as he sees Luna counting. He then looks at her with a fighting pose "It's okay. No worries, I can do this." Eternal says to Luna still panting.

"Alright, talk to me, what's your name?" Luna asks grabbing his gloves.

"I'm Eternal Flames." he replies.

"Do you know what school you're at?" Luna asks again.

"Canterlot High School, at the football stadium." Eternal replies again.

"Okay good, you're fully concious." Luna then lets go of Eternal and signals the fight to continue.

Blueblood charges at Eternal at full throttle and resumes his combo assault. Eternal kept a tight guard on trying to regain some of his strength and fight back. The 2nd round was about to reach its end and Eternal was grasping Blueblood's rhythm. Soon, he started ducking and dodging and bobbing and weaving. Eventually Eternal started rolling his upper body into a figure eight left and right with a tight guard up and started dodging Blueblood's punches. Eternal was then about to throw a surprise punch but then stopped at the sound of the bell signaling the end of the 2nd round and both fighters head for their corners.

"Kid, are you alright? Look at me!' Panja says, grabbing a hold of Eternal's chin making Eternal look at him.

"I'm alright, coach. But I just figured out his rhythm." Eternal says before his coach takes out his mouth piece, rinses out his mouth with water and spits it out in the bucket.

"What the hell was that? You're the champ! Don't try to take him out with one punch. Now you wear him down and he's all ours." Iron Will says to Blueblood, wiping the sweat off of his body. Blueblood grabs a water bottle and takes a few chugs of it and swishes it in his mouth before spitting it out in the bucket.

"That bastard...he's figured out my rhythm! I'll get him back this time...I SWEAR on it!" Blueblood says, looking straight at Eternal Flames with anger and spite.

"He's the challenger, it's his job to study your movements. Now just stay calm and try to save your strength for the next round." Iron Will says, laying a hand on his fighter's shoulder.

Both fighters had for the rest of their one-minute break until they both got up while their coaches walked outside the ring. The bell soon rings for the start of the third round. Without a seconds thought, Eternal charges at Blueblood with a tight guard until he was at mid range starts rolling his upperbody into a figure eight motion left and right. Blueblood couldn't keep his eyes locked because Eternal kept moving too fast until finally Eternal was getting close to Blueblood from the right and landed a surprise hook from the right. Blueblood feels the impact of the punch having his head flung to his right. His head then gets flung to his left by Eternal's surpise left punch. Panja was speechless at what his fighter had just started doing.

'No way...I can't believe it...he's doing the Dempsey Roll. That's a highly advance attack!' Panja says in his thoughts.

Eternal keeps up his full throttle Dempsey Roll assault until finally his right hook slammed Blueblood straight into the canvas. His face was bruised and bleeding.

"DOWN!!!" Luna shouts, making Eternal back away moving to his neutral corner panting.

'Don't you dare stand up, you bastard! If you do, I'll make sure you stay down for good!' Eternal says, trying to catch his breath waiting in the neutral corner. Blueblood still hasn't moved a muscle, but Luna is still counting.

"FIVE...SIX...SEVEN..." Luna shouted.

Blueblood then begins to twitch and slowly stood up at the count of 9. Luna checks to see if he's good to fight. Luna then signals the fight to continue on. Eternal decides to wait at his corner with a serious look on his face. He knows he's running out of breath and Blueblood is almost at his peak as well. Blueblood slowly makes his way towards Eternal exhausted and battered up.

'Okay, now all I have to do is wait until he's close enough...then I'll unleash my other secret weapon.' Eternal says in his mind. Finally Blueblood had gotten close enough and Eternal pulled his right fist back and twisted it. With one massive swing and a twist in his entire body, Eternal throws his punch in a drilling motion. His punch reaches Blueblood...or so he thought. Blueblood blocked the signature "Corkscrew Punch" Eternal threw and returned with a barrage of punches to Eternal's face, making his right eye become swollen.

As the fight keeps getting intense, the audience was cheering for both fighters. Canterlot was staying silent with shock, however, seeing their fighter get pummeled. As Blueblood landed one last left punch at Eternal's face, Eternal lose conciousness and is about to fall while reminiscing all that happened before he was about to fight

Eternal began to recall the first time he experienced his very first wins and losses. He also recalled the time he first fought against his cousin and how he hated his guts so much because of his cocky attitude. Soon all he was was a dark void in his mind only until his eyes are locked with the face of the man he's fighting. Soon he sees darkness again until he feels a spark go off.

Eternal, still unconcious, shouted and slammed a killed right straight at Blueblood's face, making blood leak from his mouth and nose. Eternal was caught in his own unconcious rage and landed hard punches on Blueblood, from his entire face, to his chest, ribs and stomach, making him cough out tiny droplets of blood.

"W-what the hell?! He's gone mad!" Iron Will said.

"Eternal!" Panja says to himself. He could see the look in his eyes. He saw that Eternal had the intention to kill. Blueblood then tried landing a few punches to grasp his rhythm, but Eternal kept dodging while he was still unconcious. Eternal continued to land punches left and right breaking a few of Blueblood's ribs. Everyone except Canterlot High became speechless. Canterlot High started their uproar once again seeing their school representative take the lead and pressing on the assault. However, Celestia kept her eyes away from this horrific scene because it broke her heart seeing her own son fighting to vicious.

'He's hitting all my vital areas...he's...trying to kill me' Blueblood thinks before he feels Eternal slam his right uppercut on Blueblood making him fall to the ground.

"DOWN" Luna shouts, holding Eternal back. Eternal acts on instincts and heads over to the corner panting and still unconcious.

"ONE...TWO...THREE" Luna shouts.

'I...I can hear a count...Damn it...did I go down again?' Eternal thought before finally regaining his conciousness. 'What the?!' He then turns towards the center of the ring where Blueblood was twitching from the pain trying to stand up. 'What the hell is going on and why is Blueblood on the mat? Did I knock him down? I can't remember!' Eternal became frustrated and punched the corner still panting. 'What kind of crap is this? Taking the belt while I was unconcious, what kind of a victory is that?! Unless I knock him down with a punch I remember..." Eternal then pauses and resumes his sentence by speaking out loud. "I WON'T BE SATISFIED!!! SO STAND YOUR SORRY ASS UP!!!" Eternal shouts winding his whole right arm backwards ready to end the match.

Meanwhile, Blueblood had finally stood up to the count of 8. Luna then signals the two to continue the fight. Without a hitch, Eternal charges straight at him with an angry look in his eyes.

'Say goodnight YOU NO GOOD BASTARD!!!' He shouts in his mind. Unfortunately, Luna gets in front of Eternal, and held him back after the bell rung signaling the end of the 3rd round. Eternal's face was inches from Blueblood's face. Both fighters had different expressions on their faces as Eternal was held back.

Eternal had the look of an angry predator ready to rip his prey to shreds while Blueblood had the look of fear in his eyes. Eternal and Blueblood both went back to their corners. Both were exhausted. Eternal had gotten way past his limit, while Blueblood was quaking in fear after witnessing this new side of his cousin.

"He tried to kill me! Why didn't you tell me he had this kind of attitude?!" Blueblood says, still shaking and looking down at his feet.

'Eternal really got to him. His coach must've taught him a technique that can bring any normal fighter down for good. He's got one hell of a coach, I'll give him that.' Iron Will says in his mind. He then turns to Blueblood. "Listen kid, you took a nasty beating out there. But he's barely hanging in there. Launching all those punches has taxed his stamina. Just give it one more push."

"Y-Yes sir...I'll show him who wears the title belt." Blueblood says. After 30 seconds, Blueblood slowly regains his courage as he slowly raised his head looking towards his coach. "Coach...I've made up my mind...I'm going to annialate him...ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!!"

'Anymore trauma and this could be life-threatening. If I see you slightly wobble oout there, I won't hesitate to throw in the towel. Don't hate me for it, kid. However, I'll rely on your pride for as long as you're still punching.' Iron Will thinks as he tightens his grip on the towel around his neck.

Panja had completely rinsed out the blood in Eternal's mouth, but he also let Eternal drink some water to help his lower body muscles relax for a little bit. As Eternal was resting for the remainder of his break trying to get some stamina back, he sees his lover, Sunset walk up to him, but she stayed outside the ring. The two stared at each other for a few seconds until finally Sunset spoke.

"Eternal, no matter what, I'll be waiting for you to come back to us! You can do it!" Sunset said, earning a nod from Eternal as he then looked towards Blueblood. Panja then gets out of the ring and Eternal stands up, putting his mouth piece back in. The bell is then rung signaling the start of the 4th and final round. But out of nowhere, Blueblood charges straight ahead with wide swings from his punches, but Eternal kept his guard up just in time.

Soon, Eternal ducked under one of his punches and aimed for the body. He lands a left body blow making Blueblood grunt in pain since his right ribs still had a few fractures. Both fighters continued their relentless assault landing blows to the face. It seemed almost evenly matched until Eternal started getting more punches in. Blueblood was becoming more and more injured. Eternal then landed a serious right straight to his jaw, but despite the damage, Blueblood kept punching. Eternal was losing stamina quick. Then he's caught by surprise by Blueblood's left hook which made his guard break. Blueblood took this chance and decided to use Eternal's own technique against him. Blueblood pulls his fist back, twists it, and throws it in a drilling motion. Eternal tried to guard as he knew how devastating the Corkscrew Punch was. Blueblood managed to make contact with Eternal's chest and felt his heart stop beating for a moment. Eternal stood in the middle of the ring, paralized from the punch.

"ETERNAL, NO!!!!!" Sunset shouted.

Blueblood finally used the last remnants of his strength to launch a full body left hook.

'Take a look at me, Eternal, this is who I am....I AM....BLUEBLOOD, PRINCE OF THE RING!!!' Blueblood shouts in his mind as he launches his right hook...only to have it miss as Eternal sways his head backwards. Blueblood is caught off guard as he sees his brutally bruised up cousin standing tall.

'Very impressive, Blueblood...your speed and timing was perfect. If your Corkscrew Punch had made connected an inch closer, you would've won the match...from now on when I'm asked which boxer I respect the most, I'll answer with this.' Eternal says in his thoughts. ' "He is a warrior who fought like a prince, a samurai I met at Rogue High School' he thinks as he prepares his Corkscrew Punch. As he throws it, Blueblood is still not moving from his spot as he was too tired. Eternal continues to speak in his mind 'We will never meet in the ring again, but I will never forget your name!' With that last thought...Eternal's Corkscrew Punch connects with Blueblood's chest, making his heart completely stop for a moment. Eternal then throws a killer left uppercut, sending Blueblood flying and sent his mouth piece flying out of his mouth all covered in blood. Blueblood sinks into the mats flat on his back with blood running down his mouth.

Eternal then backs off as Luna walked towards Blueblood. Seeing how Blueblood wasn't moving, she waves her arms up in the air, the bell rings a few times, signaling the end of the match.

"Unbelievable! In an astounding turn of events, the champion has collapsed onto the mats, he's got no strength left to use and in the end, the last one standing is Eternal Flames! The match it over!" The announcer shouts. Soon, most of the crowd went into an uproar. Celestia then walks up onto the ring with her microphone.

"Ladies and gentlemen, in a stunning upset. Scoring the win by knockout, we have a new Amateur World Welterweight Boxing Champion, and he is "The Fiery Fists of Fury," Eternal Flames!" Celestia says gesturing her son who had the belt around him, thanks to his coach and is then lifted off the ground by his coach. He throws his hands up shouting in happiness. Panja then puts him down and is then greeted by his mom and his girlfriend. "I'm so proud of you, son!" Celestia says, hugging him with tears in her eyes. Eternal gives her a hug as well. After she lets go, Sunset runs up to him and hugs him tightly.

"Congradulations, Eternal!" Sunset says.

"Thanks, Sunset" Eternal says, hugging her back.

Finally, after two whole years, Eternal and Blueblood had finally settled their grudge match. Eternal now felt satisfied knowing he and his cousin had put up a good fight.

The next day, Eternal paid a visit to his cousin who was in the hospital. Eternal had already had already finished his appointment. Luckily the doctors told him he had no brain damage. But he was still concerned about his cousin. He started thinking out things as he was walking around the hospital, trying to find Blueblood. He realized that it wasn't his cousin he hated so much, it was his attitude that made him feel so uneasy all the time. Eternal finally found the room Blueblood was resting in and looked inside to see something that shocked him.

Blueblood was watching TV, his waist was covered in bandages, and so was most of his face. Eternal walked up towards him and immediately gave him a warm smile.

"Hey cous...I see you're doing okay." Eternal says.

"Yes, but I don't think I'll ever box ever again." Blueblood says. "You see, I made a promise to myself that if I ever did lose the fight, which I did, that I would retire. Especially with these injuries and what not."

"I say you definetly earned your retirement, cousin. Sorry for braking your bones."

"Oh don't feel guilty about it. It was a fight after all. You earned the title belt fair and square. But know that earning the belt is only half the battle, since there WILL be other challengers who want to take it from you. The fight has only just begun."

"Yeah, I know. Luckily, I ain't got brain damage, but I'm gonna be careful with how I fight. Otherwise the next thing you know, my next fight might be my last."

"You have my full support, cousin. Well, I'd better get some rest, you should head on home, too."

"Alright...get better soon, Blueblood." Eternal walks out of the room and closes the door. But after he closes it, he turns around to see Sunset who's waiting for him and then presses her lips against his for a brief moment. While he was kissing her, he started thinking about the new challenges as he starts his new life as the Amateur World Welterweight Boxing Champion.
