Chapters Rise of Equestria: Children of the Heros
7 months have passed since the death of Tirek as well as Eternal Flames' and Sunset Shimmer's wedding. For the past eight months, one by one, their friends had gotten married and have had no recent attacks from any enemies. Sunset Shimmer was one month away from delivering her child and couldn't feel any happier and worried at the same time. Of course, her mood swings began taking their toll on her since she was 10 months pregnant. She'd wind up being either in a nagging mood one moment, then either bawling her eyes out or filled with joy the next. It was a struggle to throughout the entire 10 months, but if the challenge didn't get Eternal Flames down, it certainly wasn't going to get him down now.
Today started out like any other regular afternoon with the lovely couple going to the Ponyville market. Eternal wanted be beside Sunset to make sure that in case Sunset Shimmer felt like the baby was trying to get out early, he'd take her to the hospital. Thankfully, all that happened was a simple kick. It hurt Sunset, but only for a second. They continued to fill up their shopping list with all kinds of fruit and vegetables, as well as some hay and a few tasty beverages. They even purchased more breakfast ingrediants. After finishing their shopping, they headed home so Sunset can get some well deserved rest and Eternal would help out with the food preparations.
Eternal and Sunset made it back home without anymore complications. Eternal opened the door and let Sunset go in first, she gave her husband a warm smile and thanked him. He followed her inside and closed the door behind him.
"Alright, honey, go ahead and get some rest on the couch, I'll get to cooking up dinner. Don't worry, I'll make sure I don't burn up the kid with any spicy foods." Eternal said, reassuringly.
"Okay then, hot shot. Thanks for your help." Sunset says. Eternal chuckled from what she just said.
"Come on, do you have to call me "Hot Shot?"
"Why not? It's fun. Unless you want me to call you "sweetie-pie."
"Uh...Hot Shot it is."
"That's what I thought."
Eternal shook his head left and right with a smile and headed into the kitchen to get started on cooking. While he was cooking up dinner, they'd start to converse with each other. Eternal was careful on the stove while he and his wife were talking.
"So, honey, what's on the menu tonight? And don't say it's some of your spicy foods!" Sunset says with a bit of attitude.
'Oh boy, here comes the mood swings. ' Eternal thought to himself. "Hun, relax. Like I said before, I'll cook up something not spicy so our child won't burn up. You can rest assured I'll make something that both of us can enjoy." He said out loud.
"Good, and don't talk back to me like that! I don't got time to deal with your snarky retorts!"
"Honey, calm down, you're having another one of your mood swings again. Take deep breaths."
"I don't give a damn if I'm mad or not, just shut up and keep cooking!"
"What do you think I've been doing?" Eternal covered his mouth quickly after realizing what he just said. "Oops." Sure enough, he heard sniffling behind him and saw that Sunset was crying. 'I know she has mood swings, but I can't stand to see her cry. It brakes this stallion's heart to see that. ' He thought to himself. He turned the stove off and went to comfort Sunset. He sat next to her and gently rocked her left and right on the couch. He had his left hoof stroking her silky mane and hi right hoof gently rubbing her belly. "Now now, Sunset, I'm sorry for what I said earlier. You know I love you."
"Why...why are you not mad at me? How come you're not annoyed?!" She asked with tears in her eyes.
"Because, like I said when we first mated. No matter the challenge, no matter how difficult it'll be, I'll never back down as a husband and I'll never back down as a father. To tell you the truth, this challenge is more difficult than any battle I've been in, but all of our hard work will be worth the day we finally have our baby. I could never feel annoyed or mad at you. Your mood swings may happen oftern, but it's perfectly normal for a mare. I love you, Sunset and I always will."
Hearing this made Sunset Shimmer cry even more, but this time, with tears of joy. She wrapped her hooves around Eternal Flames and kissed him right on the lips.
"I love you, too, Eternal."
Just then, Eternal's fire powers kicked in and surrounded him, while Sunset's magic surrounded her and lifted them both off the ground, making them worried of what's happenind.
"ETERNAL, WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" Sunset asks loudly.
"I DON'T KNOW, BUT STAY CLOSE TO ME!" Eternal said, reaching out to Sunset. She did the same. They struggled to try to reach for each other before who-knows-what might happen to them. At the last second before they disappeared, they grabbed hold of their hooves and held on tightly like they were holding on for dear life.
They reappeared in some kind of spacial dimension with stars sparkling in the distance and mirrors showing them both what happened throughout their past events.
"What is this place?" Eternal asks.
"I don't know." Sunset replies.
"Why don't you let us answer that." said a familiar female voice. Both Sunset and Eternal turned in the direction of where the voice came from and saw that it was Princess Celestia and following alongside her was her husband, Royal Blaze. Or more commonly known to Eternal Flames as his parents.
"Mother? Father?" Eternal asked, surprised.
"Mom? Daddy?" Sunset asked, surprised as well.
"Congradulations, you two. You've overcome countless obstacles in your lives. Eternal, you've shown that even when the odds were stacked against you in the line of battle, you showed determination, courage, and heart. Even more so when you accepted the path of parenthood despite how difficult it felt to you." Celestia says, warmly.
"Thank you, mother." Eternal replies with a bow.
"And you, Sunset, had a warm and forgiving heart and soul enough to make countless friends in your life and even found yourself a stallion who loves you enough to always be there for you. Even though he's tough on himself and sometimes you, you still forgave him because you knew that deep down, he cares about you. Just like how you forgave everypony in your life for their mistakes. Because of this, it's now time for the both of you to recieve your rewards." Royal Blaze said.
"Reward?" Sunset and Eternal asked.
Without another word, both Celestia and Royal Blaze used their magic on Eternal and Sunset. The young married couple felt strange magic powers surging through their bodies and in a flash of blinding white light, they disappeared from the spacial dimension and reappeared on the outside of their house. They looked around to see what happened but then saw that they both became alicorns. All they could do was look at each other in shock and awe.
"Is this what they meant by "reward?" Sunset asked.
"I believe so." Eternal replied, seeing his new horn and wings.
"You look more like a prince just like I look like a princess." Sunset says.
"Actually, you both are going to be lucky when you find out what we have in store for you both. But for now, why don't you both enjoy your time alone here, we've got invitations to send." Celestia says, before she and her husband teleport back to Canterlot.
"What do you think she meant by that?" Sunset asked.
"All I know is that our coronation is coming soon but right now..." Eternal said, before hearing his stomach growl. "...I gotta continue with making us our dinner. I can't have my stomach eating me up before our coronation."
"Yeah, me too."
A week later, everypony from Canterlot and Ponyville had gathered around inside Princess Celestia's castle where she, her sister, Luna along with Luna's husband, Dark Void, and Celestia's husband, Royal Blaze, along with the Mane 6 and Spike was facing the crowd with warm smiles upon their faces.
"First of all, I'd like to thank everypony for being able to make it here to celebrate the coronation of my son and daugher-in-law, Eternal Flames and Sunset Shimmer. Throughout the past year since they arrived here, they've brought lots of happiness and joy to everypony whom they cared for and united us all as one. They both showed courage, determination, and dedication in the face danger. But more importantly, they showed a lot of heart when faced with the toughest challenge they will face in the future known as parenthood. Now, let us all introduce "Queen Sunset Shimmer" and "King Eternal Flames." Celestia says. Everypony, except Royal Blaze and Dark Void had a shocked look on their faces when they heard "King" and "Queen."
The doors behind the crowd of ponies opened and revealed Eternal Flames and Sunset Shimmer being escorted to the throne of the castle where Celestia and the others were waiting. Everypony was looking at the young couple with shock and awe seeing that they both had finally become alicorns, but they wondered how. Eternal and Sunset finally arrived on the throne to meet with the others and faced Princess Celestia and Royal Blaze.
"Eternal Flames, Sunset Shimmer, as of today, for all of your courage, sacrifices and heart, we hearby declare you both, now and forever as King and Queen of the Guardians!" Princess Celestia exclaims. Eternal and Sunset got shocked expressions on their faces, while the crowd, along with their family and friends cheered for their new king and queen. They both faced the crowd and bowed to them with their wings unfolded with joy. Celestia then walked up to them and signaled them to make a speech. Eternal nodded and took a step forward and spoke with his head held high.
"To everypony here and all of Equestria, as your new king, I pledge from this day forth to protect our kingdom with wisdom and valor, and as long as I am here, along with my wife, and my family and friends, you shall have continue to have safe haven in the kingdom of Equestria, for I will not bring shame to the title of King of the Guardians!"
"And I shall never bring shame to the title of Queen of the Guardians. We thank you all so much for welcoming us into your lives as we welcomed you in ours. May you all continue to live your peaceful lives as not just our citizens, but as our family." Sunset says, also with her head held high and proud.
The crowd cheered for them both even more, while Heat Wave and Blue Blaze, Eternal's brothers, gave him a big hug and congradulated him on becoming king. The girls, along with Blue Blaze's wife, Crimson Ruby, hugged Sunset Shimmer and congradulated her for finally becoming a brand new queen.
Rise of Equestria: Children of the Heros
3 and a half weeks have passed since the coronation of Sunset Shimmer and Eternal Flames and now the baby shower had been thrown with the help of their friends. Although, it seemed that even the Mane 6 were a few months pregnant as well, but the only one of the Mane 6 who was close to delivering their child was Rarity. Everypony was exchanging gifts to Eternal and Sunset during the party.
"I can't believe it's been a little over a year since you guys came into Ponyville." Pinkie said.
"Seriously, we've been kicking serious ass with you guys there to give us a helping hoof." Rainbow says, wrapping her forehoof around her husband, Spark Wave.
"No doubt there were a few bumps along the road, but we all managed to pull through." Spark said with a smile.
"So, Rainbow Dash, tell me, darling, what are you children going to be?" Rarity asked.
"Didn't you know? Red Heart told be out of shock and surprise that I was having 2 colts." Rainbow replied.
"That is a surprise, Dash." Applejack says.
"Why is it a surprise?" Shadow Force asks.
"Don't you remember, Shadow? Twilight told me that the population of mares is greater then stallions here in Ponyville. But, you see, my brother and I, along with the guys are from a kingdom where stallions are mostly populated. It probably had something to do with out ancestors when they recieved their phoenix god powers that made them reproduce more stallions. Although, that's just one of my wild guesses so I could be wrong." Heat Wave explained.
"What do you think your child is going to be?" Twilight asks Eternal and Sunset.
"Well, we're not sure what it's going to be, but I don't care if it's a boy or a girl as long as it's healthy." Eternal says.
"Honestly, I could say the same thing. Nothing would please me more tha--- AAGGH!!!" Sunset shouted and stumbled to the floor, with her forehooves holding onto her stomach. Eternal got worried and kneeled down.
"Sunset, hun, are you alright?" Eternal asked worried.
"It...it's time! The baby's coming!" Sunset exclaimed in pain.
"It's time already?! Alright, I'll get us there right away!" Eternal's horn began to glow and instead of just teleporting him and Sunset, he teleported everypony in his house with him to the hospital.
"Well, at least it saved us the trouble of walking." Spike said.
Eternal spoke with the front desk alerting them that Sunset was about to go in labor. The doctors put her on a stretcher and carried her over to the emergency room. Eternal sat on one of the chairs, looking down with a straight face, trying to hide the fact that he was worried about both Sunset and his child. But the gang could tell that he was worried and went to comfort him.
"It'll be alright, darling, I'm sure your child will be alright an Sunset is a strong mare. Just have faith in her." Rarity says.
"She's right, as long as we have a little patience and a lot of hope, they'll be alright." Twilight says.
Minutes have went by real fast with nothing but silence, until they all heard Sunset in the most unpleasant way.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! " Sunset screamed from one of the nearby emergency rooms and made Eternal jump and stand on all fours. He was even more worried about her.
"SUNSET!!!" Eternal shouted.
"Oh my, that must sound painful." Fluttershy says.
Eternal ran towards the door to the E.R but was stopped by Nurse Red Heart. She didn't need a hint on who the father was, since she already knows Eternal and decides to let him in. The others wanted to join in, but Red Heart wouldn't let that happen due to only letting the father of the children go in.
"Red Heart, is she okay?" Twilight asks.
"There's no need to worry, Twilight. Sunset is making a full recovery and the operation was a success. Sunset Shimmer has just given birth to two baby boys." Red Heart replies with a smile.
"Oh thank go-- wait, TWO?!" Twilight asks in surprise.
"But I thought Sunset was only having one! That's quite a surprise!" Heat Wave says.
"Yes, even I was surprised as well. But then again, miracles work in so many strange and wonderous ways and I'm guessing this is one miracle that might actually be having both Eternal and Sunset smiling." Red Heart says.
In the E.R room, Sunset was laying on the bed, holding her two precious foals with tears in her eyes. Eternal was surprised to see that she had not only brought one, but two children into their lives. He started to smile at both his wife and his sons. Both of them have the same scar-like birth marks under their eyes. One of his sons was an earth pony who had his mom's fur and eye color, but had his mane was the same color as his dad's. His other son was a unicorn who had his father's white fur and eye color and a red and yellow mane that matched that of his own mom's mane color.
"You really did an amazing job, Sunset. Just look at them." Eternal said, softly.
"I have you to thank, honey. I've never seen such beautiful boys in our lives. But what should we name them? We can't exactly just call them "Our sons," or "Our boys." Do you have any ideas?" Sunset asks.
"Hmm, let's see." Eternal says.
"Hey, I know, you can name this one..." Sunset gave him the foal who didn't have the red and yellow streaks on his mane. "...and I'll name this little guy, does it sound good?"
"Yeah. Definetely." Eternal turned to look at his son who started cooing adorably. "Heh, well you're quite the scorching little rising sunshine, aren't you, little guy." Eternal then got an idea after he said that. "Hey, that's it. How does Sunrise Scorcher sound little guy?" he asks. Right on cue, his son started reaching out to him with joy and happiness. "Alright then, Sunrise Scorcher it is." Eternal gave Sunrise a warm and loving hug, rocking him back and forth.
Sunset was still thinking about what she should call her son while she was holding him close to her. 'Now, let's see if I can find a nice, suitable name for you, little guy. ' Sunset thought to herself. "Aren't you a flaring little solar stud...wait...I think I know what to call you, how does Solar Flare sound?" Sunset got a coo of approval from her baby boy, making her giggle. "Solar Flare it is. Eternal, have you decided on what you want to call your son?"
"Yeah, I'm calling him Sunrise Scorcher. What about you? What are you calling our other son?"
"I decided on Solar Flare. Sound good?"
"Yeah, Sunrise Scorcher and Solar Flare it is. The others will be happy to hear about this." Eternal says.
Just then, their boys suddenly began to cry.
"Oh boy, so it begins." Eternal says. "It must be feeding time for our little champs."
"I can take it from here, why don't you go outside and wait with the others? I have a feeling they're anxious to know what our boys look like and want to know their names." Sunset says.
"Alright, I'll leave you to do your business." Eternal leaned in and kissed his wife and his new sons. "See you all later." Eternal Flames walked out of the room and closed the door, only to get ambushed by his friends as they showered him with questions like "how is she," "what are the boys like," and "what are their names."
"Guys, ease up. Sunset's doing alright and so are my sons. If you want, I can show you them over at the birth center window so you'll have a closer look on what they look like." Eternal says.
"Well, anyways, congradulation, darling. I bet you feel proud. You, the King of the Guardians, becoming a loving father. Oh, it must be like a dream to have a family!" Rarity ranted.
"Don't forget, it's not going to be a dream once we deliver our daughter." Spike reassured Rarity.
"Of course, how could I forget our loving daughter." Rarity says, rubbing her belly. "Of course, I heard Pinkie and Cheese Sandwich are having triplets in a few months. How do you feel?"
"Well, I was pretty surprised to hear it just as much as Pinkie was. I mean, one would make me happy, two, maybe more happy, but three, now that's gonna be a difficult challenge." Cheese says.
"Say, how 'bout we all check on the little guys? Ah'm excited to see the little rascals." Applejack says, containing her excitement.
"Soon, everypony. Sunset is still feeding them, so it'll be a while before we can see them." Eternal says.
"Awww." said the girls in disappointment.
Tidal Wave couldn't help but chuckle. "Don't let it get you all down, like he said, the babies are hungry. They won't be feeding forever so we still got a little time before we see them. In the meantime, how about we just relax in the waiting room?"
"Yeah, I feel like kicking back and relax." Shadow says
Everypony walked back to the waiting room and decided to get comfortable and wait until Sunset was done feeding her kids. During the time, Eternal and Tidal Wave engaged in a game of chess, Spike was holding Rarity close to him, rubbing her gently, letting her take a little nap in to look more "presentable" when it came time for her and the gang to meet Eternal's kids. Rainbow Dash was teasing Spark Wave about how he nearly fainted when he found out about Rainbow Dash having 2 kids instead of one. AJ and Ground Dasher were enjoying a tasty apple and reminiscing about their childhood.
Red Heart showed up at the waiting room to let the gang know that the babies are in the birth center and could now be looked at by Eternal and his friends. They waster no time, and dashed towards the birth center window. Pinkie Pie practically had her face glued to it trying to find Sunset's and Eternal's kids.
"OOH, OOH, OOH, WHERE ARE THEY? WHERE ARE THEY? WHERE ARE THEY?!" Pinkie asked, hyped up.
"Relax, Pinkie, my boys are right there." Eternal pointed to the sleeping foals in the very front row. Almost immediately...
"Awwww" Said all the girls.
"They're so cute." Fluttershy said.
"Simply adorable." Rarity said.
"So do they got names, big guy?" Rainbow asks.
"Yep, the one with the light yellow fur and red mane is Sunrise Scorcher and the one with white fur and red and yellow streaked mane goes by the name of Solar Flare." Eternal explained. "I gave Sunrise his name and Sunset gave Solar his."
"Have to say, partner, I never thought you'd give birth to such handsome lil' fellers." Applejack said, patting Eternal on the back.
"Sunset gave birth, not me." Eternal retorted, playfully.
"Looks like I've finally become an uncle." Heat Wave says.
"No, we've been uncles for about 2 months. Don't you remember?" Eternal asked.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. But seriously, I'm surprised that Crimson delivered her daughter 2 months early."
"It happens sometimes. But at least our niece will have two new cousins to play with."
"Hey uh, guys? Are babies suppose to ignite on fire like that?" Rainbow asks, pointing at Sunrise and Solar.
"WHAT?!" Eternal and Heat shout in unison. Eternal and Heat went to the window and saw that both of Eternal's sons were on fire and jumping with joy, yet nohing was being burnt to ashes. Eternal and Heat knew those fire powers anywhere.
"But that's impossible! They've already unlocked their fire phoenix god powers! I didn't unlock those powers until I was 8!" Eternal said in shock and awe.
"I first unlocked mine at the age of 9! Talk about skilled!" Heat Wave said. Just then, they both heard the sound of chuckling from somewhere close by and they turned to see Royal Blaze.
"I suppose I never got to tell you boys what I witnessed when all three of my boys were born." Royal says, walking forward. "You see, by the time you two, along with Blue Blaze had first been born, you all did the same thing that your sons are doing. If there was a name for this cause, it'd be a Happy Power Surge or something. However, it only happens one time until they've reached the right age to truly unlock their hidden powers" Royal explains. He looked through the window to see his grandsons and had a look of happiness. "So these are my beloved little grandsons, huh? Well, I'd have to say that I'm very proud of you, Eternal Flames and Sunset Shimmer as well. You've really come of age ever since we all came here."
"Thank you, dad." Eternal says.
"However, having two children is only the first step to parenthood. The difficult challenge will involve lots of dirty pampers to change and lots of baby food to buy. But in order to do that, you'll have to find a decent job. But since you're already Shadow's co-worker for his family therapy sessions, you should be alright for now. Good luck son." Royal Blaze then headed back into the waiting room and out the door to fly back to Canterlot.
Since the day that Sunrise and Solar were born and the day Sunset was free to leave the hospital life had gotten both happy and complicated for the two since they had taken their biggest challenge of all: Parenthood.
Over the months the months they have been taking care of their children, Twilight and her friends, along with Eternal's pals had their children going through the same struggles that Eternal and Sunset were facing. Changing diapers, bottle feeding their children, saving enough bits to pay for their cribs. Pretty soon, the months turned into years and things got more and more complicated when it came time for the gang and their children when they sent their children to school.
12 years later
Ponyville began to become a lot more bigger with the help of the gang putting their bits into a special surprise that sent their children into a state of happiness and excitement. During the past 12 years, the Rogues, along with the mane 6 carefully saved up enough money to build an entire 2 story club house. But it looked more like a club mansion, big enough for the gang's children to hang out in when they finished school and finishing their homework. The exterior had 4 stone pillars on each corner of the club house holding up the roof. The walls were painted white, while the roof was made of solid bricks. The entrance had no doors, since it was suppose to welcome other fillies and colts who wanted a place to hang out. Inside, the floor had smooth, wooden planks that made ponies feel like they could slide across. There were tables set up on each side for gaming, eating, and other things. The 2nd floor had a great view of Ponyville from the windows. Of course, also on the second floor, there was a stage that had could be performed on. There was also an indoor pool for the kids to swim in.
"Finally, I need a break from all this homework. It's driving me crazy." said Crystal Clarity. Clarity was a pony/dragon hybrid with a light purple fur coat, blue eyes, and a purple mane like her mother's. She had claws on her hooves and two white horns behind her ears. She had tiny purple spines from her lower back to the start of her tail. The tip of her tail had a small fraction of purple fur. Her cutie mark looked like a few scattered purple jewels. She was the oldest daughter of Spike and Rarity and standing next to her was her younger sister, Mystical Gem, who was a unicorn and bared a strong resemblance to her mother, but she was able to breath fire. Her cutie mark was a golden ring with a gem at the tip, having a single sparkling star emitting from it.
"Oh I couldn't agree more. I've just about had it with all this stress." Mystical said.
"Hey, you should consider yourselves lucky! I have to write a stinking interview that's two pages long! How am I suppose to do that if I mostly have all four of my stinking claws glued to the ground?!" Shouted Drago. Drago was also a pony/dragon hybrid. He was the youngest sibling in Spike and Rarity's family and the first son born. He had green eyes like his dad, the body of a pony, dragon wings, dragon muzzle, but a green mane and tail instead of spines. His teeth were also jagged and strong enough to break down any jewels he likes to eat. His cutie mark was a black dragon claw engulfed in green flames.
"Would you stop complaining about it, squirt? I'm having enough troubles with my homework as it is." Clarity said.
"ALRIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!" shouted another male voice.
Clarity facehooved herself. "Not that hot head again." she groaned. She turned around and saw that it was Sunrise Scorcher, alongside him was his brother, Solar Flare. Even they had cutie marks. Sunrise Scorcher's cutie mark was the sun rising up fast like a comet. Solar Flare's showed the sun looking like it was emitting a harsh light.
"COME ON, BRO!!! IT'S GAME TIME!!!" Sunrise shouted in happiness.
"Will you hold up for a second? I got a lot of homework to do and you know how I hate being tardy on this stuff." Solar said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, all that can wait, now come on! Let's hurry up and start enjoying ourselves." Sunrise ran into the club house without even waiting for Solar to respond. Solar couldn't help but give out a sigh.
"It's always the same with him, he waits 'til the last minute to finish his homework and miraculously gets a barely passing grade. What does it take for him to take this seriously?" Solar asks himself.
"Ah dunno, but it's a real pain in the flank if ya ask me." said another male voice. Solar turned to see that it was Apple Core, Ground Dasher's and Applejack's oldest son. He was an earth pony who had a dark brown fur coat, emerald eyes like his mom and a black mane and tail that resembled the same color as Ground Dasher's mane color. His cutie mark showed the inside of a red apple. Next to him was his younger brother, Brown Sugar, who was also an earth pony just like his parents. He had a brown mane that matched the color of his mom and dad and a blonde fur coat. He had emerald eyes like his dad and his cutie mark showed brown sugar piled up like a pyramid.
"What's a real pain? The fact that his brother ain't all that brainsmart? Or is it somethin' else?" Brown Sugar asked.
"That'd be the first, lil' brother." Apple Core replied. "But either way, we should git to relaxin'. Mah hinde legs are killin' me from apple buckin' earlier this mornin'.
"I hear ya. Ah haven't been able to rest this rump o' mine since Ah had to stay up late, studying last night."
Pretty soon, within 15 minutes, the club house got crowded with all kinds of fillies and colts. But all of them were children of the Mane 6 and the Rogues. Upstairs, near the stage, was the Sparkle siblings, Burning Sparkle and Blazing Sparkle. Blazing Sparkle was Twilight Sparkle's and Heat Wave's daughter and the oldest child. She was a pegasus who had the same light yellow fur coat as her dad. Her mane was the same color pattern as her mother and her eyes were the same color as her mom's. Her cutie mark showed a six-pointed star with red flames on each tip of it. Her brother, Burning Sparkle was a unicorn who had his mother's fur coat, but had his father's magenta eyes. His mane and tail was the same color as his dad's as well and had the same scar-like birth marks under his eyes as his cousins. His cutie mark ha the same star as his sister's, but it was inside a giant burning red, orange and yellow flame.
Near the pool were Rainbow Dash's and Spark Wave's kids, Fusion Rainbolt, Thunder Strike, and Light Speed. Fusion Rainbolt, like his brother and sister, was a pegasus. He had his mother's cyan blue fur coat and rainbow colored mane. His eyes were red like his mom's, but his eye shape was like his father's and had a cutie mark that showed a black cloud with lightning bolts shooting out like it was spinning round and round in a circle.
Thunder Strike had a messy, blonde and spikey mane similar to his dad's, but his tail looked smooth. His eyes were the same color as his dad's but his fur coat was the same color as his mom's and his eyes were shaped like his mothers. His cutie mark showed a picture of a grey cloud with a single lightning bolt striking down.
Finally there was their younger sister, Light Speed. Her fur coat was light yellow like her father's, but her eyes, mane and tail color were the same as her mother's. Her cutie mark was a rainbow colored lightning bolt with a star at the tip looking like it was moving fast.
Also on the stage was another pair of pegasi belonging to Fluttershy and Hurricane Blitz. The oldest was Gentle Breeze, the son of Fluttershy and Hurricane Blitz. He had his mother's fur coat and personality. His mane and tail were silver colored and had brown eyes like his kind and loving father. His cutie mark showed minted colored wing. Behind him was his younger sister, Angel Feathers. She had her mom's mane and tail color and her dad's fur coat. Her eyes were teal like her beautiful mom's and her cutie mark showed golden feathers looking like they belonged to an angel.
Downstairs were the Pie triplets. Chocolate Pie, Strawberry Pie, and Vanilla Pie. These three earth pony sisters belonged to the new owners of Sugar Cube Corner: Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich, after the Cakes had finally retired. Chocolate Pie was all brown colored, but her eyes were the same color as her mom's. Her cutie mark showed a slice of pie with chocolate filling. Strawberry Pie practically looked the same as Pinkie Pie, but her eyes were green like her dad. Her cutie mark was a slice of strawberry pie. Finally, Vanilla Pie was all bright and pale yellow with the same eye color as her mom's. Her cutie mark showed a tasty slice of vanilla pie.
Over at one of the corners was a filly who sat all by herself, reading a book on medical stuff. This 11-year-old filly was the daughter of Tidal Wave and Red Heart who goes by the name of Rain Dance. She had her mother's blue eyes and snow white fur, but her mane and tail were colored black like her father's. She had a cutie mark the showed drops of rain. She didn't have any siblings, even though her parents thought about planning on having another child. But they changed their minds since they were struggling to stay on task with work.
Finally, there were two fillies and two colts who belonged to Shadow Force, but had different mothers. First, there was Lyra's son, Ominous Tune and daughter, Dark Melody, both were unicorns. Ominous Tune had his dad's red eyes and black mane and tail, but had his mom's minty fur coat and a cutie mark that showed a closed and worn out music box that looked too scary to even go near. Dark Melody had her dad's grey fur coat, but had her mother's minty white mane and tail as well as her mother's yellow eyes. Next there was Bon Bon's kids, Sweet Tooth, who was her son and Shady Sweets, who was her daughter. Sweet Tooth had his mom's fur color, but his mane and tail were black like his father's mane. He had red eyes just like his dad too. His cutie mark showed a group of jagged teeth gripping onto a few pieces of candy like they're being crushed. Shady Sweets had her father's grey fur coat and, but had her mom's blue eyes and the same pink and blue colored mane and tail.
Everypony was either playing board games, swimming, reading, eating, singing, dancing, or other things.
Sunrise was playing a little game of chess with his brother. But their game was cut short with Burning Sparkle showing up behind Sunrise and caught Solar's attention.
"Uh-oh, bro, your "#1 rival" is looking to brawl again." Solar said, pointing to Burning.
"DANGIT, YOU LITTLE WEASEL!" Burning shouted, but then gets punched in the face by Sunrise and is blown back. Sunrise jumped out of his seat and got ready to charge at him.
"If you wanted a fight, you could've just asked nicely. Now PUT 'EM UP!" Sunrise said with a confident smirk.
"I'll make you eat those words when I'm done with you, ya chili freak!" Burning said.
"WHY DON'T YOU COME HERE AND SAY IT TO MY FACE!" Sunrise shouted in anger.
Both of them leaped in the air and kicked each other.
"SHOO-BE-DU-BA!!!" Burning shouted, colliding his kick with Sunrise's kick.
Below, the girls could hear the boys going at it and weren' exactly surprised.
"Good grief, it's always the same with those two. They lay eyes on each other and start brawling. What is it going to take for those numbskulls to grow up and move on?" Clarity asks herself.
"I do not know, dear sister, but I do not want to have to deal with this throughout my entire life." Mystical said. "At least it's more tolerable to handle our little brother over here." she says, pointing at Drago, next to her.
"I'm not deaf, sis! I can hear you!" Drago says, annoyed. "You think I have don't have any struggles on my own? I have to deal with all this stinkin' homework and your overly dramatic flank!"
Mystical gasped at what her younger brother said and slapped him straight across the face. "How DARE you! I'll have you know, I have my reasons on why I act like I do. I cannot wait to get home and tell mom about what you said." Mystical said.
"Yeah, that's right! Be a snitch, that's all you'll ever be!" Drago retorted.
"Knock it off, you two!" Clarity said, slamming her clawwed hoof on the table. "This is precisely why mom and dad scold you guys, you don't know how to get along! So stop acting like a married couple having an arguement."
"We are NOT acting like a married couple and you will TAKE THAT BACK!" Drago shouted at his oldest sister.
"Or what?" Clarity gave her little brother a death glare, making him back off. He growled and got out of his seat.
"I don't need to take this, I'm gonna hang out with the big guys!" Drago said. He unfolded his wings and flew up to the 2nd floor where Sunrise and Burning were glaring at each other.
"Boys will be boys." Rain Dance said to herself, still isolating herself from the others.
"Hey, Brown Sugar, how 'bout snackin' on a few apples before we head home fer apple buckin'? Ah haven't eaten all day an' Ah'm lookin' to calm the monster in mah stomach." Apple Core asked his brother.
"Yeah, sure, Ah could go fer a few apples. Ah'm famished." Brown replied.
Both farmer boys got their lunch boxes out and dumped out a total of 4 apples. Rain Dance didn't know why, but she turned towards the farmer ponies, or more specifically, Apple Core. She felt herself blush the more she looked at him.
"Dagnabbit, there's only enough to fill half o' our stomachs. Oh well it's better than nothin'." Brown Sugar shrugged.
"Eeyup." Apple Core replied. All was going well when they enjoyed their apples together like loving brothers. All the while, Rain Dance kept thinking to herself.
'Why do I feel like this? It's like I can feel my heart throbbing the more I look at him. Am I...in love? N-NO! That's ridiculous, I don't need a coltfriend now or ever. Although...it wouldn't be bad to...No! Get a hold of yourself, Rain! You're stronger than this! But this pounding in my chest feels more stronger...UGH, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! '
"Hey, Rain Dance, what are you stressing out about?" asked Blazing Sparkle after she sat next to her.
"Huh?! Oh, hi Blazing. It's nothing really." Rain replied.
"You sure? You looked like you were struggling with yourself, and why is your face flushed?"
Rain Dance blushed even more and tried to hide her face behind her mane. "I-I'm not blushing! I-It's just a little cold, that's all, no need to worry about me." Rain chuckled nervously.
"Come on, Rain Dance, you pinkie promised me you wouldn't keep secrets from me. I'm your friend. You can tell me what's bothering you and it'll be our girl secrets." Blazing reassured Rain. Rain Dance sighed deeply and turned towards her pegasus friend.
"Alright, fine. The truth is...I...I kind of...like...Apple Core " She said silently, trying not to admit it.
"You like who?" Blazing asked.
"Apple Core." Rain replied a bit louder, but was quiet enough to not let the others hear it.
"Aww, if you like him, why don't you just tell him?"
"Because I don't know if he'll like me or not."
"Come on, Rain Dance. Next to Mystical, you're the prettiest girl in school. You got colts loving and admiring you and you're worried that Apple Core won't feel the same way? You should really ask him. But only when you're ready."
"I suppose. Thanks Blazing. You're a real friend."
"You're welcome Rain Dance."
Back up on the 2nd floor, Sunrise and Burning had exhausted all of their strength and were both lying on the floor, panting from their little brawl with each other.
"Is that...all you got? I can...still take ya on!" Sunrise said.
"Same here, you overgrown chili pepper!" Burning said.
"Guys, do you always have to fight like this every time you lock eyes on each other? You can't just be doing this the rest of your lives, you should try and socialize a bit more." Gentle Breeze says, hovering over the two exhausted colts.
"Maybe you haven't noticed, but I can't stand being in the same room with this freak." Sunrise says pointing at Burning.
"Bite me!" Burning retorted.
"Guys, please! You're cousins! Families shouldn't fight like this!" Gentle said.
"Gentle's right, I'm getting sick and tired of you two beating the snot outta each other." Solar said.
"Who's side are you on anyways, bro?!" Sunrise shouted at Solar.
"I'm on the side that I feel is right! Mom and dad really need to hear about this." Solar said. "You might be older than me, but you sure don't act like you're older than me!"
"Wow, I never thought you'd burn your own brother." Angel Feathers says.
"I'm just sick of having to deal with this nonsense every day for 12 years. As soon as our mom and dad get off of work, I'm gonna put a stop to this family quarrel once and for all." Solar said with a serious tone.
Sunrise looked at his younger brother with an annoyed expression. "Great, things'll really get heated up now." Sunrise said, before sinking his face down onto the floor with an annoyed groan.
Rise of Equestria: Children of the Heros
Night time was drawing near and all of the kids at the club house were picked up by their parents. While they were walking home, they told their parents everything they did and what happened with the others. They got a few laughs from their parents, a few were just while others gave their children a scolding or two.
Over at the Carousel Boutique, both Drago and Mystical got sent to their rooms after dinner was over, while Clarity had to stay downstairs to help her mom try out a few dresses. Clarity didn't like trying out fancy getups, but she did it anyways to help her mom.
"Ouch! Mom, not so tight." Clarity said as Rarity tightened up her corset.
"Sorry, darling. I'll try to be more careful. You know, Clarity, I couldn't help but wonder why you're always frowning. You know it's never a good idea to stay mad at whatever it is. I haven't even seen your beautiful smile in 2 years."
The moment Rarity mention Clarity not smiling for that long made her think back to the day when it all began
2 years earlier
It was a Friday morning at school and Clarity was looking forward to hanging out with her friends. When she went inside the school building, she could see a group of fillies and colts conversing about either the homework and how some of them forgot to do them. She chuckled and took her seat, getting out her homework.
"Alright everypony, class is about to start. If you've already finished your homework assignments, please go right ahead and leave them on my desk so I can grade them." Ms. Cheerilee said.
All the students turned in their homework assignments and proceeded to walk back to their desks. Clarity even brought a couple of magazines with her to keep her occupied after class.
The class day went on well, most students got A's and B's on their homework assignments. About 2 hours into the school day, it was finally time for recess. The colts either played dodgeball or basketball. Clarity stayed on the bench and read some magazines that had info on the latest studs of Canterlot. Mystical sat next to her big sister, reading a book on the latest designer outfits. Meanwhile, their little brother, Drago was being helped to learn how to fly with the help of Fusion Rainbolt and Thunder Strike. Mystical couldn't stop giggling at how adorable her brother looked when he was flapping his little dragon wings so fast and could barely lift himself off the ground.
"Our brother is growing rather quickly, right Clarity?" asked Mystical. Clarity was snapped out of her imagination.
"Huh, what?" Clarity asked. Mystical pointed at Drago who was still trying to keep himself airborn. The sight of him made Clarity giggle a little bit before looking back a her magazine. "You're right, he is growing quickly. It's too adorable."
"Clarity, I don't think we shouldn't be reading those magazines. Mom'll be very mad if she finds out."
"Oh don't worry, Mystical, I got permission from her."
"Yes, but did you ask Ms. Cheerilee if you could read it out here?"
"As long as I'm careful it's alright."
Just after finishing her sentence, she was struck in the head by a dodge ball. She became lost in a daze and tumbled over. The moment the other kids saw this, they began to laugh. Clarity got up and saw the other ponies laughing at her and pointing. She felt like she wanted to burst into tears. But somepony stopped her from doing so.
A single colt who stood in front of Clarity, facing the crowds of fillies and colts.
"What makes you think it's alright to make fun of somepony who just got hurt?! You think that's funny, huh?!" said the colt. Clarity looked up to see that it was Eternal Flames' oldest son, Sunrise Scorcher. "It's one thing to laugh at jokes, but it's another to laugh at somepony else's pain whether it's physical or not! Laugh at her pain again and you'll be sorry!" he said.
"Oh yeah, and just how are you going to do that?" Thunder Strike asked.
Youtube Video
"Trust me, buster, you don't know who you're dealing with right now!" Sunrise growled. He soon started to channel this fire around his whole entire body while at the same time, it wasn't burning the ground or Clarity. It was like he could control the fire and who he can burn and who he chose not to.
"What did you call me, you blasted CHILI PEPPER?!" Thunder Strike also started emitting strange powers around him, but with him, he started generating electricity around his body.
The next thing that happened was the boys leaping at each other, exchanging blow for blow. One minute, Thunder Strike was dominating, the next minute, it was Sunrise Scorcher.
During the middle of the fight, Clarity fainted. She woke up a few moments later to see that Sunrise was still standing, panting and bruised up and exhausted, while Thunder Strike was on the ground, covered in bruises. He was knocked out cold.
"I told you before, you laugh at her pain... you'll be sorry!" Sunrise panted. Clarity felt both grateful and confused. Sunrise stood up for her when she got hit in the face by a ball, but she was confused about how he was able to generate fire. Sunrise walked over to Clarity and offered his hoof to pick her up. "Hey, you alright?" he asked.
Clarity nodded and gave him her clawwed hoof. He helped her back up and rubbed her head gently.
"T-Thanks Sunrise." Clarity said, turning away, trying to hide her blushing.
"No prob. Well, recess is almost over. I'd better be prepared for next class and my parents' lecture." Sunrise says before walking back into class with the others.
Back in the present day
"Mom please, I'd rather not talk about 2 years ago." Clarity said, hiding her face from her mother.
"I do apologize, darling. I just wanted to see you smile again. You know how much I love you and your brother and sister. Even if they do get into fights from time to time." Rarity says.
"Y-yeah, I love you too, mom." Clarity said, in a tone filled with guilt. Clarity's mom had made a valid point. If there was one thing that could make a parent happy, it's to see their children smiling. But Clarity didn't want to smile because of some uneasy feelings she had deep within her heart the more she kept thinking about the day Sunrise stood up for her.
Meanwhile, Spike was talking with Mystical Gem and Drago in their room.
"Now listen to me, both of you. This fighting has gone on long enough. I love you both, but you have to understand that it pains me and your mother to see you guys fighting so much. First of all, Drago, you have to watch how you talk to your sister. It's never okay to talk to her the way you just did earlier at the clubhouse today. She may still be a filly, but she'll be a growing mare someday. As for you, Mystical, you can't just go around and slap your brother in the face, he's still 9 years old, you're almost a teenager. You need to control your temper or it's going to get you into trouble. Do you both understand me?" Spike asked.
"Yes, dad." Drago says, looking down.
"Yes, daddy." Mystical said, also looking down.
"Good, and to get my point across, you're both grounded for one week. You are not to leave the house for any reason other than having to go to school throughout the week. You eat your dinner after school is over, do your homework, take a shower and go to bed. Can I trust you two to do that for me and your mom?" Spike asks again, earning a disappointed nod from both of his kids. "Good, now wait in here until I let you know when dinner is ready." Spike then left their room and closed the door. Afterwards, both Mystical and Drago slammed the back of their heads on their pillows.
"I can't believe I can't hang out with the guys. This sucks." Drago groaned.
"How am I suppose to spend some quality time with the girls now?" Mystical groaned. "This never would've happened if you just kept your mouth shut, Drago, I mean SERIOUSLY!"
"Oh go take your overly dramatic attitude elsewhere, I don't got time to deal with your nonsense." Drago said, with his eyes facing the wall and his back facing Mystical. "It's always the same with you. You always blame everything on me. I'm starting to think that you and Clarity didn't want me as a brother." Drago then shot his eyes open and covered his muzzle. "S-sorry, that came out wrong."
"Drago..." Mystical said. Drago turned to see that his sister pounced onto his bed, pinning him.
"What in the hay do you think you're doing?!" Drago asked loudly.
"Now you listen here, Drago! I never said I was better off having a younger sister! I didn't care if you were the first son born because all I wanted was to have the chance to be a big sister." Mystical said, with tears in her eyes. "And I couldn't be more happier than finally having my very own little brother! So don't you EVER say that again. I love my little brother!" Mystical got off of Drago and let him sit up. After he did, Mystical leaned forward and gave him a hug.
"M-Mystical...I...I'm sorry." Drago wrapped his claws around his sister for a warm hug, showing her that he was truly sorry and even shed a few tears while doing so. "I'm sorry for all the mean things I said to you. I'm such a lousy brother!"
"It's alright, just let it all out."
Mystical could hear her brother sobbing quietly on her shoulder during their warm embrace. Mystical then started to think to herself while she and Drago were hugging. 'But you're wrong, Drago. You are never a lousy brother to me and never will. I'll stick by you and help you in any way I can, like any good big sister would. '
Back at Eternal's and Sunset's house. The family was having a rather awkwardly quiet dinner. It somehow became too awkward and silent until finally, Sunset spoke up.
"Okay, why is everpony so silent? Is something the matter with you boys?"
"Go on, son. Tell your mother everything you told me." Eternal Flames said to Solar.
"Okay, dad. Mom, back at the clubhouse...Sunrise...and Burning Sparkle...they...they fought again." Solar said. Sunset's levitation magic on her fork wore off when she heard that. She turned to Sunrise with a stern look and made Sunrise duck under the table with only his eyes visible to everypony in the room.
"Now now, Sunset. Let him finish."
"But...Burning Sparkle tried to get the jump on him. I blew his cover and Sunrise just punched him. Pretty soon, they both ended up exhausting each other out after that." Solar explains.
Surely, Sunset's stern look became more and more calm. She looked at Sunrise and spoke. "Well, I'll let it slide for now, but I don't want you to make this a habbit to try and finish your little brawl. You let us handle it from now on, okay?"
"Yes, mom." Sunrise replied, getting back onto his seat to finish his dinner.
The next morning, Sunrise had woken up a bit earlier than his family in order to catch up on some training. In order not to wake up his parents, he sneaked downstairs and slowly walked towards the front door. When he reached the door, he slowly opened it wide enough to sneak out of. He then slowly closed the door shut and proceeded to do some laps around Ponyville.
After he was done, he decided to get a little adventurous when he came across the Everfree Forest. He was getting a bit lost the more he ventured into the forest. But finally, he came across a small clearing with a tiny lake.
"Alright! Time for a swim!" Sunrise said to himself.
But, little did he know that there was an evil army watching him from afar in the thick forest.
"Well well, it looks like we've found our first victim of the day." said a quiet, female voice.
"Yes, I hope you plan on making this work with your new army." said a quiet and deep male voice.
"Don't worry, this army will have a taste of something much better than my previous traitorous army." Just then, both of them heard the sound of another female voice.
"Sunrise, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be back at home, resting? The Everfree Forest is dangerous. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, there's monsters always lurking behind every corner." Clarity said to the swimming stallion.
"Oh lighten up, Clarity. If they ever mess with me, I'll roast them. Now why don't you come join me for a little swim? The water feels cool and relaxing for this hot spring weather." Sunrise said, backstroking.
"What will Eternal Flames and Sunset Shimmer think about this?"
"Hey, chill out. My dad always knows that I train every morning. He's cool with it. Although, it's a different story with mom. She'd never approve of me going out training this early in the morning."
"It seems we've got 2 unsuspecting preys." said the deep male voice, quietly.
"Yes, I think now is the time to let two of our soldiers to enjoy their breakfast. Go on, my children." said the quiet, female voice as she turns to a group of soldiers with red eyes. Two of them approached the clearing close enough to not be seen. These soldiers were changelings, but this time, they were red changelings. They took the form of Solar Flare and Mystical Gem and proceeded to walk towards the swimming stallion and his pony/dragon hybrid friend.
Clarity saw both Solar Flare and Mystical Gem coming out of the dark forest and immediately got the sense that these two weren't their siblings, but rather somepony else. Sunrise Scorcher decided to take a break from his swimming and got out of the lake. When he got out, he also noticed his brother and Clarity's sister. Even he knew that his brother would never venture into the Everfree Forest. It was then that Clarity signaled him over and whispered to him. "Listen, I don't know if your brother knows you come here often, but if I know my sister well, she never comes to the Everfree Forest."
"You're not the only one who knows your siblings." Sunrise whispered back. "No way does my brother come here. He knows his boundaries and he's not exactly the risk taker. Let's find out right now." Sunrise cleared his throat and spoke out to his brother's imposter. "Yo, Solar, what brings you here?"
"HIya...bro. Hey listen, mom and dad are waiting for us back home, she made breakfast already." said the fake Solar.
"And mother has sent me here to find you in order to...uh...go mine for jewels." said the fake Mystical.
"Hmm, that does sound good.....if you think mom was okay with me being here! She doesn't even know I'm here so how in the hoof did you find me out here? You're not really Solar Flare, ARE YOU?!" Sunrise pointed at his brother's imposter
"And my mom would NEVER send her precious children to look for her other children. She always asks daddy to look for us. So that means YOU'RE NOT MYSTICAL GEM!" Clarity said, pointing at her sister's imposter.
Both of the fake siblings hissed and growled before changing back into their original forms.
"Wait...changelings? I thought Princess Celestia signed a peace treaty with them!" Clarity said in surprise.
"Not these bozos. These guys are different than the old ones." Sunrise pointed out. Both of them heard two chuckling voices from the forest and got into their battle stances. "Looks like we're gonna fight whoever's out there."
"Stay on your guard, Sunrise, this could be dangerous!" Clarity says.
"It is useless to stand up against us." said a deep male voice. This really got their attentions as they saw two tall pony figures walking towards them very slowly. Both figures reached the clearing where the sun revealed a unicorn stallion who looked like an older version of Dark Void and Shadow Force. He wore a suit of armor and a red cape. This was King Sombra. Next to him was a tall insect pony with holes on each of her hooves, long blue mane and green eyes with insect pupils. Her name was Queen Chrysalis.
"I know you! You're that freaky bug lady that my dad trashed years ago. I can tell you're not in the mood for a friendly chat so what the hay do you want, lady? Same goes for you, Sombra." Sunrise asks.
"You would be wise to keep your mouth shut young man." Chrysalis said before levitating Sunrise off the ground and bringing him much closer towards her. "Unless you want the love sucked out of you right here and now."
"LET HIM GO!" Clarity shouted.
"Oh? Why should I? I'm just having a friendly chat with him. Unless you disapprove of me having your boyfriend all to myself if that's what you might be thinking." Chrysalis retorts, clinging onto the levitated stallion.
"I said...LET...HIM..." Before Clarity was about to finish her sentence, a loud roar was heard from the distance. It caught everypony off guard when from up above, Eternal Flames dove down and landed in the clearing with a serious look on his face.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Rogue Prince. Get him my soldiers and feed to your hearts content!" Chrysalis ordered. Soon an army of 10 red changelings swarmed Eternal Flames. He took to the sky and started fighting them off with effortless ease. But there was one red changeling who decided to charge at Sunrise Scorcher while his guard was down. It had him pinned and was about to sink its teeth in his neck until Eternal Flames intervened and pinned all of the changelings under him. They were all squirming, growling and hissing.
"SILENCE!" Eternal shouted at them with a death stare, making them cease. "If you EVER come near my son again..."
"Your son? I never knew the Rogue Prince had a child." Chrysalis says with a confident smirk. Eternal Flames turned and look to see the evil Changeling Queen Chrysalis and gave her a look where he wanted to rip her to shreds.
"You...What are you doing here and why is Sombra with you?" Eternal asks, in a low and deep tone.
"Apparently, I am now the King of both the Blood Changelings and Darkness." Sombra replies.
"Blood Changelings?!" Eternal asks with a look of shock.
"Yes, apparently since my last hive betrayed me and left me for Thorax, I was left no other option. I was on my own, trying to fend for myself and trying to build a new hive. But I could find no luck...that is...until I discovered Sombra lurking in the forest. We first started out as enemies, but soon grew a connection that gave us both a brand new army of changelings. While I still feed off love, my new changeling army feeds off of the blood of ponies. I was about to send my soldiers to enjoy a tasty breakfast, but unfortunately..." Before Chrysalis was able to finish, Eternal stopped her.
"SILENCE...no pony lays a harmful hoof on my son and if I EVER catch you trying to sick your changeling army on him ever again, I won't hesitate to roast you and your army as well as Sombra! Now get out!"
"Just know one thing, Eternal Flames. This was only a wicked reunion, next time we meet, we'll have our entire changeling army and waiting ready to take over all of Equestria." Sombra says, smirking. "See you soon...Eternal Flames."
Sombra and Chrysalis gathered their changeling armies and disappeared into the Everfree Forest. Sunrise walked up to his dad with a look of guilt in his eye.
"Dad I--"
"You deliberately disobeyed me." Eternal says to his son with a harsh glare. Sunrise never felt sorry or scared in his life seeing his dad looking and being this mad at him.
"Dad, I'm...I'm sorry."
"Let's go home." Eternal says, still in a harsh tone. Eternal escorted his son as well as Clarity out of the forest.
"I thought your dad was okay with you being out here." Clarity said to Sunrise quietly.
"I was wrong, okay? Also, why were you in the forest?" Sunrise asks quietly. Clarity couldn't help but blush and turn away.
"I...I was...just passing by."
"You sure about that, Clarity? Because it looks to me like you'e hiding something."
"Just shut up and follow your dad so we can get outta here." Clarity retorts, annoyed and still blushing.
It took them a matter of a couple of minutes to get out of the forest. Outside the forest, Shadow Force was waiting for them with the same exact stern look on his face.
"Shadow." Eternal said.
"Yeah, cousin?" Shadow replied.
"Take Clarity home. I've got to teach my son a lesson." Eternal took another look at Sunrise, who immediately hid himself behind one of the trees with only his eyes visible. Shadow walked towards the two children.
"Come, Clarity. Sunrise...good luck." Shadow said as he was walking Clarity back to the Carousel Boutique. But he was then stopped by Eternal whispering to him.
"Gather the guys later on tonight, we'll have to discuss a very important matter."
"Gotcha." Shadow whispers back. After that, he continued to take Clarity back home.
"Sunrise!" Eternal called out, making his son flinch. He proceeded to walk towards his dad looking down at the ground. He sat down right next to him and looked up. Eternal's harsh glare disappeared and instead had the look of disappointment. Soon, he faced his son eye-to-eye and began to speak. "Sunrise, I'm very disappointed in you."
"I know."
"You could've been killed! You deliberately disobeyed me and what's worse, you put Clarity in danger."
"I was just trying to be brave like you."
"I'm only brave when I have . Sunrise...being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble."
"But you're not scared of anything."
"I was today."
"You were?"
"Yes...I thought I might lose you."
"Oh...I guess even kings get scared, huh?"
"mmhmm."
"But you know what?"
"What?
"I think those red changelings were even scareder"
Eternal couldn't help but chuckle. "Because nopony messes with your dad" Eternal gave his son a clever grin with a hoof extended out to grab his son and snatched him, giving him a noogie. "Come here, you!"
"YOUCH! DAD, KNOCK IT OFF!!!" Sunrise grunted while his father chuckled. Sunrise struggled and struggled until finally, he broke free and tackled his dad. "Pinned ya, dad!" he said, confidentally.
"Yes, yes, I know." Eternal chuckled, but then his expression grew more stern. "But when we get home, you're grounded for a week. You shouldn't have went into the Everfree Forest."
"Aww, man. Just my luck."
"There consequences that lead to certain actions in life son. Going in the Everfree Forest alone is one of them. Now go on home and I'll talk it out with your mother so she doesn't give you any more scoldings than I already gave you."
"Well...I guess that's alright."
"Good, now come on."
Eternal Flames took Sunrise Scorcher back home and sent him to his room while he talked things out with his wife. It took him a while to convince her to not push the lecture any further, but he got through to her.
Shadow Force had finally escorted Clarity back to the Carousel Boutique. Shadow then knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" asked Rarity.
"Shadow Force." he replied.
Rarity opened the door and saw that Shadow had brought home Clarity. "Oh thank you, darling. I just was wondering where this little filly had run off to."
"Well, Eternal found her with Sunrise in the Everfree Forest." Shadow replied. Rarity gasped.
"Clarity! What were you thinking?!" Rarity asked, with a worried look.
"I'll let you talk things out with your daughter in private. I gotta get back to work." Shadow said. "So long, Rarity."
"Bye, Shadow and thanks again, darling." Rarity brought Clarity inside the boutique and closed the door. "Young lady, it's time we had a little girl talk, upstairs, in your room, this instance!" she said with a stern look.
"Alright mom." Clarity walked up to her room with her head hanging down. She then started talking to herself in a quiet tone so she didn't have her mom listening in on her. "What's wrong with me? Why did I have to follow him? Now I'm gonna be grounded. I just don't understand why this is happening to me."
Clarity and her mom finally headed inside Clarity's room and closed the door behind them. Clarity took a seat on her bed, still looking down while her mother had her eyes locked on her.
"Clarity, young lady, look at me." Rarity said in a calm, stern tone. Clarity complied. "I'm very disappointed in you, Clarity. You and I both know that the Everfree Forest is dangerous no matter what time of day it is. Why did you go in there in the first place?"
"I...I saw Sunrise walk in there so I...I went to go get him out of there." Clarity said.
"Why didn't you just get tell his parents where he was at? Going in there all by yourself is just too reckless. What would've happened if a vicious predator got to you before you could get to Sunrise?!"
"I wasn't thinking straight."
"Why not?"
"Be-because..." Clarity began to blush a little bit.
"Because why? Spit it out!"
"BECAUSE I LIKE SUNRISE!" Clarity shouted, before covering her mouth in embarrassment. Rarity looked shocked. "Mom...please...don't tell my brother and sister, or my dad! I don't want to be made a laughing stock!" she begged.
"Clarity, calm yourself down. Look, since you were honest, I'll go easy on you by grounding you for the rest of the weekend and I won't tell a soul about your little crush you have."
"Thanks mom."
"You're welcome, darling. Now give me a hug."
Clarity just shrugged it off and hugged her mom lovingly.
Later that night
The Rogues and Mane 7 were gathered at Twilight's castle after Eternal Flames had called them up there for a meeting.
"Listen up, everypony, we've got a bad situation. Earlier today, I had an unexpected encounter in the Everfree Forest with a couple of ponies that I'm sure some of you know quite well." Eternal said.
"Who?" Twilight asked.
"Queen Chrysalis and her new changeling king, Sombra."
"WHAT?!" Everypony shouted.
"Apparently, they've built an entirely new changeling army. Red changelings to be exact. From what Chrysalis has told me, these new red changelings only feed off blood instead of love."
"Damn that grandpa of mine! I can't believe he's still alive! When I get hooves on him I'll--" Shadow got cut off by Tidal Wave.
"Shadow, relax! Now's not the time to lose your temper."
"Then what are we suppose to do now?" Fluttershy asks.
"I say we kick some changeling but like we did back at Canterlot!" Rainbow Dash says.
"Now, just a minute, honey. We don't even know where they've built their new hive and going after them without a plan would be like sending a foal out in the streets of Manehatten, alone." Spark Wave says.
"He's right, besides, where's the fun in ending this story so early?" Pinkie asks.
"Huh?" Everypony asks.
"What? I'm just trying saying it's pointless to have the author of this story end it here." Pinkie said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about Pinkie, but moving on." Sunset says. "If anything, I say we should stay on the lookout for them for now, especially when we all have our kids to look after."
"Sunset's right, our kids' safety is our #1 priority." Heat Wave says.
"If that's the case, then Ah'll come up with a secret code word fer mah sons." Applejack says.
"I'm with AJ on this one." Ground Dasher says.
"Alright, but we have to make sure we all know it. Having several seperate code words could confuse our children, especially since they always hang out with each other." Eternal Flames implies.
"Alright then. Does anypony have any ideas?" Hurricane Blitz asked.
"Does "Cupcakes" sound alright?" Twilight asks.
"Yeah, that might actually work." Sunset says.
The rest of the gang nodded in approval.
"Then it's settled. Be sure to whisper it to your kids so that no pony eavesdropping on you can hear it." Eternal implies.
"Agreed." The gang said in unison.
"Good...meeting adjourned."
Rise of Equestria: Children of the Heros
A Friendly Chat From A Friendly Touch
A week had went by since Eternal Flames had encountered Sombra and Chrysalis and their new changeling army. So far, there haven't been any recent attacks after that one incident. Sunrise, along with Rarity's kids were finally relieved of their week of grounding and didn't hesitate to hang out at the club house their parents built for them. Sunrise Scorcher was chilling out in the pool upstairs and having a nice refreshing cup of fruit punch. Solar Flare was playing a game of poker with Gentle Breeze and Crystal Clarity was hanging out with Blazing Sparkle, along with the Pie triplets.
Clarity wasn't paying attention to them while they were conversing with each other and instead was losing herself in her own world. Sadly, her daydreaming was cut short when Blazing Sparkle nudged her shoulder.
"Clarity, is everything alright?" Blazing asked.
"Huh, what? Oh, yeah, I'm okay. I'm still just a bit shaken up after the changeling incident." Clarity responded.
"Are you sure you're not hiding the fact that you're crushing on one of the boys?" Chocolate Pie asked with a sly grin.
"Don't make me roast you alive. I still got daddy's dragon blood in me." Clarity says, blushing glaring at Chocolate.
"Oh, don't be such a frowny-wowny." Vanilla Pie added.
"Yeah, turn that frowny upside-downy!" Strawberry Pie implied.
Clarity and Blazing couldn't help but laugh at the Pie sisters with their way of making ponies smile.
"Like mother, like daughter." Blazing said.
"Hey, Sunrise, you got room for another in the pool?" asked Fusion Rainbolt. Sunrise looked behind him and looked at Fusion.
"Sure thing, bud. Plenty of room to go around!" Sunrise replied with a confident smile.
"Cool, let's hope you didn't pee in here." Fusion retorted as he jumped in.
"HEY, what's that suppose to--" Sunrise got cut off by the water splashing in his face. "Show off." he finished, unamused. Fusion raised his head out of the water and shook his head, splashing small droplets of water everywhere, even on the table where Sunrise and Gentle were playing poker on.
"HEY!!!" Gentle and Solar shouted.
"Will you watch where you're splashing, you idiot?! You got the cards all wet!" Solar shouted.
"Yeah, my dad just bought me this deck!" Gentle added.
The girls could clearly hear the guys quarreling upstairs and weren't the slightest bit surprised.
"Boys will be boys...right sis?" Mystical asked Clarity. She got no response so she spoke again. "Sis?" still nothing. Clarity was yet again lost in her own world. Finally, Mystical had nudged and shouted in Clarity's ear. "WAKE UP CLARITY!!!"
"OUCH!" Clarity backed away from the girls, rubbing her ear. "What the hay is wrong with you?! Can't a girl enjoy being lost in her own world for once in a while?" Mystical hung her head low, hearing her sister go off on her.
"I...I apologize, Clarity." Mystic gave her sister a sad look. Clarity took one look at her and calmed down.
"No...I'm sorry for snapping at you, sis. I've just been a bit on edge since last week. I'm gonna go upstairs and hang out by the pool so I can cool off a bit. You can join if you want." Clarity offered.
"And damage my beautiful mane with that chlorinated water? I think I'll pass." Mystical retorted. All the girls began to laugh.
"Like mother like daughter." Clarity chuckled. "Well, suit yourself, I'm going for a dip." With that said, Clarity went up the stairs to the second floor where the other guys were arguing, except Drago, who was sitting on stage, humming to himself. Whether she'd admit it or not, her younger brother had a natural talent for singing like his mother. She ran over to the pool where Sunrise Scorcher and Fusion Rainbolt were at and jumped in. "CANNONBALL!!!" she shouted before she landed with a big splash and water landing on the stallions in the pool while they were in a headlock.
"WHOA!" Fusion shouted.
"I give that splash a 9 out of 10." Sunrise said. Clarity rose from underwater, spitting it on Sunrise's face. "HEY! Why'd you have to spit that nasty water in my face?"
"Because it tastes nasty." Clarity retorted.
"Oh har-har, very funny." Sunrise then splashed Clarity, making her splash back. "SPLASH FIGHT!!!!" he shouted. He and Clarity started splashing each other in the water silly. Sunrise took an early lead, but Clarity was no amateur. She had Sunrise on the ropes, as he felt like he was about to drown.
"Do you give up, Sunrise? There's no shame in admitting defeat!" Clarity said with a sly grin.
"NEVER!!! I....REFUSE...TO LOSE!!!" Sunrise struggled to breath with all the water splashing at his face. Just as he was about to pass out, he summoned up the last of his strength to create one last splash. "TAKE...THIS!!!" He thrusted his right forehoove in the water, making it land in Clarity's eyes and she gripped her eyes in pain, screaming.
"YOU MORON!!!" Clarity shouted in anger.
"Dude...run...now." Fusion implied.
"What?" Sunrise asked.
"Trust me, you don't want to witness the wrath of Berserker Clarity when she's this mad."
"Um..." Sunrise turned to Clarity who was looking right back at him with anger and spite in her red eyes. The chlorinated water had really stung her eyes good. She growled at Sunrise, ready to attack him. "Okay...I'm outta here!" Sunrise got out of the pool quickly and tried to make a run for it, but the slippery floor was making it almost impossible with him trying to sprint for it. In the end, he ended up losing his footing and landed on his face.
Clarity slowly got out of the pool with those raged-filled eyes. "Stay right where you are, you slimeball!" Clarity said. Sunrise could help himself when he let out a yell of terror .
"GET ME THE HECK OUTTA HERE!!!" Sunrise shouted as he ran down the stairs. The girls saw this and started giggling, seeing as how he was the one who angered Clarity. However, because of how he stayed in the water too long, he lost his balance and fell at the bottom of the stairs on his back. "Ouch. Why me?" He saw Clarity staring at him from the top floor, still fueled by anger.
Without any other words, she leaped from the top and had her claws reaching out to him with the intent to kill, even though she was only going to beat him to a pulp. All Sunrise could do was extend his hooves out to stop her at least a bit.
The gang from upstairs and downstairs witnessed this, along with something interesting that happened after Clarity pounced. Clarity had her lower waist held up by Sunrise's forehooves, making the upper part of her body lean towards his face. Slowly, her eyes began to go from anger to shock and surprise because she had her lips connecting with his. She and Sunrise began to blush. She backed away with a calmer type of anger.
"YOU JERK!" She shouted, running towards him and slap/slashed him in the face, leaving a nasty scratch mark on his face. "You're nothing but a despicable creep!" Clarity stormed out of the clubhouse without another word. Everypony in the clubhouse saw this and then looked towards Sunrise who was still speechless after what just happened.
"I...I'm just gonna...I'm going home." Sunrise said. He also left the clubhouse feeling a bit awkward and embarrassed. There was only one thing that broke the silence after he left.
"HAH! Clarity's got a boyfriend!" Drago shouted sing-songy.
"This is no laughing matter, Drago! You saw the way she reacted when he kissed her!" Mystical said.
"Now hang on just a dog gone sec, sugarcube. Clarity pounced at 'im first and kissed him first." Apple Core said.
"Just what is that suppose to mean, cowboy?" Angel Feathers asked in a mocking tone.
"Y'all tryin' to start somethin' with me? These ol' apple buckin' hinde legs ain't just fer show ya know! Normally, I don't fight girls, but if ya push me any further, Ah'll make an exception!"
"Whoa there, partner! Ya ot to control yer temper!" Brown Sugar said.
"A pony/dragon hybrid falling in love with a Rogue pony? That seems a bit weird, don'tcha think?" Ominous Tune asked. "I mean come on, the fact that my dad is married to two mares makes more sense."
"Dude, I think it's cool that she and him are in love." Sweet Tooth says.
"Hello, she's 12 years old! Mommy and daddy might not like the fact that she's in love!" Mystical said. "Am I right Solar?"
"Hey, don't drag me into this. I don't like getting involved with what my brother's doing. Whatever he does, I'm not having any part of it at all, he's gotten me into loads of trouble for the past 6 years." Solar replied.
"That's a bit harsh, don't you think?" Rain Dance implied. She then turned to face Solar from the bottom floor. "Do you remember the day when he fought off those bullies to protect you amd the fact that he gave you his own lunch for you to eat when you forgot yours? How many times has it been now? Pain in the flank or not, you owe him something."
"Wait, how does she know that? She's practically an only child." Strawberry Pie said.
"STRAWBERRY!" Apple Core shouted. "Whether she's an only child or not, she's like family to us. We're like brothers and sisters to her as well as her best friends."
Rain Dance was taken by Apple Core's kind words and blushed. "T-thanks, Apple."
"Don't mention it, sugarcube."
Rain Dance felt the urge to bury her crimson blushing face into her book.
At Carousel Boutique, Clarity was locked in her bedroom, her head buried into her pillow and her forehoof slamming onto her bed with a lot of pent-up stress.
"DARN YOU!!!" She shouted. "I should've strangled him when I had the chance! Although...his lips...they felt so...so warm." She shook her head at a rapid pace. "Get a hold of yourself, he started it when he splashed me! But he does have a lot of spunk. Not to mention the fact that he's actually kinda cute. AAH!!! THERE'S NOTHING CUTE ABOUT THAT WEIRDO!!!"
"Clarity? You okay in there?" Spike asked from behind the door.
"Yeah, daddy, I'm okay." Clarity replied.
"May I come in? Maybe we can talk it out with whatever's bothering you."
"Um...sure I guess." Clarity got out of her bed and unlocked her door, letting her dad walk in. They both sat on her bed and looked at each other face-to-face.
"Alright, little Clair-Clair, tell me what's on your mind." Spike gently put one of his claws on his daughter's shoulder.
"Daddy, I know you might already know this, but have you ever had mixed feelings for a special somepony whom you would love to death while at the same time despising them?"
"Well, there was this one mare who I met when I was just a baby dragon. She was the most beautiful pony I had ever met, both inside and out, but there were times when I didn't like the fact that she had a few crushes on certain stallions while growing up. But, when she got to know them, things didn't work out so well since they were either self-absorbed with themselves or had a crush on somepony else. One of them had a crush on Nurse Red Heart. She had a talk with her last stallion crush and eventually..."
"You married her?"
"That's right and in the process, we had you, your brother and your sister. We couldn't be more happier after that."
"Um, daddy. This might sound crazy, but...I...I'm in love."
Spike's eyes widened in surprise, hearing that his oldest daughter was crushing on somepony.
"I see. So who's the one who you have a crush?"
"It's...S-Sunrise...Scorcher."
Sunrise Scorcher was still walking back home with the thought of Clarity still in his mind. He felt frustrated with her after she left a slap/slash mark on his face as well as confused with this thumping in his chest. "Just what the hay is wrong with me? This ain't like me to just start thinking about Clarity like this. Am I crushing on her?" he asked himself. But then he shook his head. "Come on, why in the hay would I have a crush on anypony! I'm a fighter just like dad! Although, maybe I should consider giving love a shot. GAH, Sunrise, knock it off, you idiot! Don't start going soft on yourself right now! GAAAH, now this whole thing is giving me a headache!" Sunise calmed down and gave himself a sigh. "Maybe I should ask mom and dad if they can help me out with this."
Sunrise Scorcher finally made it back home. He opened the door to see his parents sitting on the couch going over tons of scheduled appointments for family therapy sessions. They looked and saw their son had come home early as well as the mark the slashes on the left side of his cheek. Sunset Shimmer couldn't help but gasp.
"Sunrise, who did that to you?!" Sunset asked.
"I'll give you a hint: She's Spike's daughter." Sunise replied.
"You mean Crystal Clarity?" Eternal asked.
"Bingo." Sunrise said, turning away, hiding his angered face.
"Do you want to talk about it upstairs? We hate to see our son like this." Sunset asked.
"Trust me, with all the nonsense happening earlier today, I'm gonna need both of you guys' help. So yes." Sunrise confirmed.
"Very well then, let's go upstairs." Eternal said. So they did just that. They headed upstairs and towards Sunrise's room. All of them sat on his bed, ready to listen.
"Alright son, now tell us everything." Eternal said.
Sunrise proceeded to tell his parents about what happened back at the clubhouse when they got off of school. He explained every little detail that went on. Finally he told them what happened with him and Clarity and what he told them, made Sunset's eyes become wide with shock and Eternal became speechless.
"Now you know." Sunrise says.
"Why would she do that when it clearly wasn't your fault?" Eternal asked.
"I don't know why, but we're going to have a big discussion on what that daughter of their's did. No pony hurts my sons and gets away with it without a proper punishment." Sunset says, with a crossed tone.
"Now, now, dear. Let's not be too hasty or we'll end up saying the wrong things." Eternal says, holding Sunset's hooves. "We'll just explain to Spike and Rarity what happened between our kids and then we'll find a solution on how to deal with it."
"Alright." Sunset said, more calm. "But I still don't approve of what she did to my baby."
"Mom, I'm not a baby anymore, I'm only 12 years old."
"We'll have plenty of time for teasing later, but right now we should talk Rarity and Spike." Eternal interrupted
"Yes, thank you, dad." Sunrise replied. He and his parents left the house shortly afterwards and walked to Carousel Boutique. Sunset was still a bit crossed with how Rarity's daughter assaulted her son. Eternal was also upset, but he knows that the fight that Clarity and Sunrise has could be solved by some friendly negotiations.
Back at the boutique, Clarity's younger siblings had just returned from the club house to enjoy some time away from the noise so Mystical could practice her singing with her mom. Drago was lying around on the couch in the living room. He had nothing to do other than wanting to hum to himself. Spike had finally finished his talk with Clarity and decided to head out. Rarity was downstairs with Mystical Gem, teaching her to be able to sing. She saw her husband about to leave and walked towards him.
"Going out to get some more jewels, my darling?" Rarity asked.
"That's right. I know you got a lot of orders stockpiled up so I'm gonna go see what I can dig up." Spike replied.
"Make sure you also leave some for our children. We know how much they love the taste of jewels like their darling father. Just be careful out there and come home safely."
"I will. Thank you, honey."
With a simple peck on the lips, Spike went out to go get the jewels. Rarity closed the door behind Spike and walked back to Mystical to continue their singing session. "Alright, deary, let's continue."
"Okay, mom." Mystical replied.
10 minutes went by and so far, Mystical was making great progress on her singing. Even her younger brother thought so after listening to her from the couch.
"As always, you've got the vocals, sis." Drago says in a laid back tone, but happy. This makes Mystical feel proud knowing that she was getting better and she ended up squeezing her little brother with a big hug.
"You little rascal, you!" Mystical replied, joyfully.
"C-c-can't breathe!" Drago struggled. Mystical let him go, making him gasp for air. "Being hugged to death is nice, but I'm not ready to kick the bucket yet, sis."
Before their arguement could go any further, there was a knock on the door.
"Mother, there's somepony at the door." Mystical said. Rarity immediately went over to the door and opened it up to see the King and Queen of the Guardians, Eternal Flames and Sunset Shimmer, along with their son, Sunrise Scorcher. From the look on Sunset's face, she wasn't exactly happy with whatever it was that was bothering her. Eternal Flames had a calm smile on his face, but she could feel that even he was just as upset as Sunset.
"Oh, Eternal, Sunset, so pleasant to see you both, including you, Sunri-- oh dear!" Rarity then saw that there were three straight claw marks on Sunrise's left cheek. "What happened to you?"
"That's actually why we're here, Rarity. Can we talk somewhere private?" Eternal asked.
"Oh, of course. Just hang on for a second. Mystical, Drago, could you get your older sister and go play somewhere? I need to have a private chat with your uncle Eternal and aunt Sunset." Rarity asked her kids.
"Gotcha!" Drago said.
"But of course, mom." Mystical said.
Both kids went upstairs and knocked on Clarity's door. She answered the door.
"Whatcha need." Clarity asked.
"Apparently, mom wants us to play somewhere while she talks with Eternal and Sunset. I'm guessing it has something to do with that nasty slash across Sunrise's face." Mystical gave her sister a sly smile, making her blush.
"Just keep your mouths quiet and get in." Clarity whispered, letting her brother and sister inside her room. She closed the door in front of her and ran and sat on her bed.
"So, how did your son get that scratch mark on her face?" Rarity asked.
"Sunrise told us that your daughter, Clarity had slapped him." Eternal said.
"She did WHAT?!"
Eternal Flames began to tell Rarity everything that Sunrise told him when he first came back from the clubhouse. Eternal Flames wanted to know why she'd do this. Even Sunset wanted to find out, especially since she felt like exploding. Rarity then called her kids to come downstairs and have a seat on the couch. They heard her and did as they were told. Rarity asked if her two other children if what Sunrise said was true so that she could find out if he was lying or not. Immediately.
"You kidding me? I saw the whole thing go down after a simple, friendly splash fight. She went Berserker Clarity all over the guy and had him running with his tail between his legs! I saw her pounce on him, ready to finish him off, but it looks like lover girl had some other plans and ended up in a lip lock with her new boyfriend! There's no doubt she gave him a slap/slash. It's as plain as day as the scratch marks on that left cheek of his!" Drago explains, like it was some sort of Daring Do story.
"Sadly, what Sunrise experienced and what my brother is blathering about is true." Mystical added.
"Thank you dearys for being honest. As for you young lady, we'll be having a long discussion about your actions from today, they're simply unforgivable, Clarity, dear." Rarity said, sternly.
"Yes, mom." Clarity said, looking down. She then gave a slight glare to Sunrise for ratting her out. Sunrise didn't notice her glaring at him and had an expression on his face similar to Maud Pie's.
"But first, I'd like you to apologize to Sunrise for hitting him."
Clarity kept blushing and turning away and Rarity kept nudging her forward. Clarity looked at Sunrise, blushing more furiously but finally managed to speak.
"I'm sorry I slapped you."
"Well, I'm over it now, but thanks." Sunrise replied.
"Good, now Clarity, I don't want to have to go through this again. What happened back at the club house was an accident and actions such as hitting others like that is not okay. Now until yourr father gets here to discuss a proper punishment, you are not to leave this house, do I make myself perfectly clear?"
"Yes, mom."
"Well, I'm glad we've settled this, Rarity, we appreciate your time." Eternal said.
"Oh, it was no problem, darling. Would you and Sunset like to stay a bit for some tea?"
"Sure, we still got some time before heading back to work. You okay with this, Sunset?"
"I suppose a cup of tea wouln't hurt. I'm in." Sunset replied with a smile.
"Alright then, while you guys are doing that, I'm gonna head home." Sunrise said, walking towards the door.
"Be careful when heading home, son." Eternal replied.
"You got it, dad."
With that said, Sunrise left. But while he was walking home, he was still curious of why he and Clarity ended up in a lip lock and why she was blushing so much, in fact, he was always blushing when he saw her.
"Whoa...hang on a sec...am I...in love? NO WAY, HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?! I can't be in love with somepony, I don't even know the fist thing about love!" Sunrise then began to feel a growl in his stomach. "Ugh, all this talk of love and romance is making me hungry and I need a good chili pepper and hay sandwich to calm my nerves."
As Sunrise picked up the pace heading home, he bumps into two ponies. One was an alicorn colt around Sunrise's age, he had a light blue spikey mane and purple eyes and white fur, his cutie mark was a cyan colored sword similar to the crystal heart's color in a star similar to his aunt Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark and her kids. The other alicorn was a teenage mare with light pink fur, purple mane with a light blue stripe and light blue eyes.
"Whoa, you alright there, bud?" asked the male alicorn.
"Yeah, I'm alright, thanks for asking." Sunrise said. He then got a good look at them and recognized one of them. "Whoa...I cannot believe it, is that you, Flurry Heart?!"
"That's me." Flurry giggled.
"I cannot believe how much you've grown! Who's this nice guy with you?"
"Oh, this is my little brother."
"Pleased to meet you, my name is Cyan Lance. But you can just call me Lance." said Lance.
"Sweet, pleased to meet ya, Lance." Sunrise walked over and shook hooves with him and Flurry Heart.
"So where are you heading off to, Sunrise?" Flurry asked.
"I'm heading home to get some food in my belly. So what brings you here to Ponyville?"
"Oh, mommy and daddy wanted me and my brother to enjoy a week here in Ponyville. Although, since we're not old enough to rent ourselves a place to stay, I was wondering if you're parents would be alright if we stayed at your house." Flurry explained.
"Well, they're at Rarity's house so I'll ask them when they get back. In the meantime, how about I cook up something for you and your brother, you must be hungry." Sunrise asked.
"I thought you'd never ask! The train travel here was a pain." Lance added.
"Well then, come along with me and I'll cook up a lean mean meal for you guys!" Sunrise exclaimed. He took them with him to where he lived at and to their surprise, the house was always the same. Even the inside remained unchanged after almost 13 years. Flurry and Lance took a seat on the couch. Sunrise walked into the kitchen preparing a nice meal for his guests. He made sure not to make anything too spicey since they weren't use to foods that burn their tongues.
Just as Sunrise was cooking, the front door opened at revealed his brother, Solar Flare. Lance took a look at him and waved, earning a wave back from Solar. Flurry, however, took one look at him and started blushing.
"Flurry? Is that you?" Solar asked.
"Oh...yes, that's me." Flurry replied.
"Pleased to meet you, I'm Cyan Lance, but just call me Lance." Lance said.
"Nice to meet you, Lance." Solar replied. He walked up and shook his hoof as well as Flurry. She smiled at him before he flew over to the kitchen and asked Sunrise something.
"Sunrise, who's the colt?" Flurry whispered, jestering Solar.
"That's my brother, Solar Flare. He's more of a thinker than a fighter. But he's a nice guy. Why you ask?"
"Well...he...he's kinda cute."
"If you think so, then why don't you go and tell him?"
"I don't know if he feels the same."
Sunrise then came up with a sneaky trick that he knew would benefit him and Flurry. "Well here's the thing." He signaled Flurry Heart to come closer to him so he could whisper something to her. "Solar Flare likes to play hard to get. Anytime he tries to push you away, it just means his feelings are that strong towards you. He likes to play it cool and sometimes act shy, but that just means he's really into you and if he asks you why you're doing this or who ave you this idea, tell him it's your intuition." he whispered.
"Really?" Flurry asked, earning a nod from Sunrise. "Oh thank you, Sunrise!" She then gave him a simple hug and flew towards Solar who was sitting on the couch with her brother. She took her seat next to Solar and sat really close to him.
Solar took a look at Flurry and saw her smiling at him. "Um...hi Solar." Solar said, smiling back nervously. 'Okay, what in the name of grandma Celestia is going on with her? ' He thought to himself.
"You'll thank me later, Solar. Flurry is cute and all, but I have a feeling that I just don't see any reason to date her. Now let's see *sniff* ahh, the food smells pretty good." Sunrise said to himself.
Rise of Equestria: Children of the Heros
In the land of Equestria, a young stallion by the name of Eternal Flames had left his homeland for 2 reasons that never left his mind, to find his beloved mother and become Equestria's strongest guardian. However, upon arrive in Ponyville, he had an unfortunate accident in the Everfree Forest where he was ambushed by timberwolves. To make things worse, he was trapped in a dungeon by the Royal Guards where he was then rescued by his mother, Princess Celestia. He was treated for his injuries at the Canterlot hospital thanks to the royal sisters. Within that week, his family and friends arrived to see if he was okay. At the same time, Eternal found out about his mom after he got out of the hospital and pretty soon, he and his friends built their own house and got settled in within a few months and Eternal's parents got married again since their marriage at his homeland was unofficial, being a secluded kingdom.
Shorty after settling in Ponyville as bachelors, Eternal's friend, Twilight invited him over to show him this world that was very different than their own world. It was at this particular world known as the "human" world where Twilight introduced Eternal to her friends who were human versions of her pony friends. All except for one girl, who goes by the name of Sunset Shimmer. She and Eternal became really good friends in the human world, talking about their past events and their childhood. After his welcoming party in the human world, in a game of truth or dare, the unexpected happened when Sunset was dared to kiss Eternal Flames: they fell in love.
Months later, Sunset had graduated high school in the human world and came back to Equestria when Eternal Flames went through a grueling fight with one of his arch rivals. It was a hard fought battle, but Eternal managed to save Equestria, and to make things better, he was able to make it home with his fiance, Sunset Shimmer, who also bared his unborn child. But 3 months after the battle, Eternal's friends had gotten engaged with their special somepony, but their happiness was cut short after hearing that Tirek had broken out of prison and stole the magical energy from almost everypony in Equestria. But the gang was able to defeat him, but the process of the battle took Tirek's life.
Overtime, after the wars had ended. Sunset was able to calm down her newly wedded rogue husband thanks to her devoted time and energy, along with a lot of love.
