It was just another one of those days for Rumble. Two of his fellow posse, Snips and Snails, were once again caught for peeping at Crystal Prep Academy, and he and the rest of the boys had to go and rescue them. The same, which also goes for the escape part.
The boys were all running for dear life, from an angry mob of Crystal Prep girls of the soccer team, all the while carrying Snips and Snails, both bound and gagged.
"If I've told you once," Button began. "Then I've told you at least about a thousand times to not go and peep on girls! You're gonna get yourselves in jail one of these days!"
"Mmm....Mm..m" Snips muffled.
"What?" Rumble asked.
"Mmmm....Mm...mMM" Snips repeated.
"What?"
Pipsqueak, paying no mind to the conversation, looked back and screamed, seeing the girls closing in for the kill.
"Split up!" Pipsqueak said. "They can't follow all of us!"
"No way!" Button Mash protested. "Cause then they'll follow me!"
"Why would they follow you?" Rumble asked.
"They always follow me!"
"Stop being paranoid and just do it!" Pipsqueak retorted.
With that, the boys all split up into different paths. As Rumble ran down an alley, he could've sworn, he heard Button screaming, "I told you they would follow me!"
Central Park
After awhile of running, Rumble arrived at the park, ducking beneath a bridge, before peering behind the wall.
"I hope I lost them," Rumble panted, sitting down, trying to catch his breath, when he hears the sound of snoring. Turn his head to the right, his eyes nearly bulged out, to see a beautiful girl, somewhere about his age, wrapped in a brown, ragged, old blanket, and her head resting on a yellow backpack, with a flaming image of a falcon.

The girl has a long, untidy moderate cerise hair that was cut short in the back, but grew into a long curl as a bang, which did nothing to hide dirt smudges and bruises on her face. The only attires she had on her are a simple, average white pajama, and orange socks, with a few holes in them.
The very sight made Rumble want to cry. He knew he had to do something to help. Seeing an incoming pretzel cart, Rumble went up, made some purchases, before he came back with two warm, soft, buttery, pretzels; one for himself, and the other for the girl.
"Um, hello?" He said, gently tapping the girl. "Hey, wake up. I bought some foods for you."
The girl stirred awake for a moment, opening her eyes, to reveal they are a beautiful grayish of purple. Upon seeing Rumble, the girl lets out a scream, and tries to run, but collapsed, when her bruised, twisted, foot gave way.
"Whoa!" Rumble exclaimed, trying to help the girl. "Are you okay?"
"Please," the girl whimpered, shivering in fright, and hiding behind her blanket. "Don't hurt me. I really don't have anything of value."
"Hey, take it easy," Rumble assured. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just wanted to help, that's all."
"Promise?" the girl asked, giving the boy some hopeful looks.
"I promise," Rumble smiled, offering her his hand.
The boy's smile made her feel less frightened, as she slowly, and gladly, accepted his hand. With a pull, Rumble helped her up, catching her when she was about to collapse again.
"Mind if I could sit here?" Rumble asked.
In response, the girl shook her head, "No one's stopping you," the girl replied, offering a seat.
With that, Rumble sat down, beside the girl, giving her one of the pretzel he bought earlier.
"Oh, thank you," the girl exclaimed gratefully, taking the food, wolfed it, and savoring the taste. "At last, some real food."
Rumble took a few bite from his own pretzel, before he begins on asking, "Pardon me for asking, but what happened to you? How did you end up like this? And for how long?"
"Two years," the girl sniffed. "My parents died while flying through a thunderstorm. I don't have any other living relatives, and I don't have a job, so I just couldn't take care of myself. I was forced out of my home, by the landlord. And I've been out here ever since."
"Oh, sorry I asked," Rumble frowned.
"It's okay," the girl replied. "Though, of all the coldest nights I've been through, this is no doubt going to be the coldest one in two years. What am I going to do?" She shed a tear at the last part.
Rumble thought for awhile, before he answered, "Well, you can come over to my house," he offered. "You can bunk with me and Thunderlane."
"Really?!" the girl asked, excitedly. Rumble nodded his head, "Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" The girl cried happily, tackling the boy in a hug.
"Then let's go," Rumble smiled, helping the girl up on her feet, while carrying her backpack. "By the way," he began. "My friends call me Rumble."
"Rumble, huh?" the girl asked. "That's a cool name. Mine's Scootaloo."
"Scootaloo?" Rumble asked. "That's a nice name."
"Thanks," Scootaloo smiled.
With that, the two teens started to have a friendly conversation, while making their way out of the park.
