A thousand years ago
Discord grinned having the best day of his life. The ponies ran in horror. and He kept on activating his magic by snapping his left claw causing misery.
The royal guards were taken care of easily.
Nothing could stand in his way.
And then they came. Discord did not really see how they were more special than the other ponies.
Well okay, to be honest. They were about the size of horses .
They had a horn and wings, unlike the other ponies.
And he had to admit, he did like the white one's hair better than the dark ones. Mainly, because it was prettier in his opinion.
"Princess Celestia and Princess Luna! We're saved!" shouted a random pony
He thought he noticed the darker one's eyes flash something other than anger. However, he really did not care if it did or not.
So a fun little battle was fought. Discord could tell both of them were trying. But they were really outmatched and if the battle wasn't amusing he would have just been done with it and turn them to stone or something.
Discord decided to tease the white one by snapping away her tail. Which she responded by a blush.
And then it happened, these multicolored jewels came out both of the Princess's saddlebags.
"What's that?"
"The elements of harmony. You're about to find out what they do Discord." He heard the white one say
The worst thing about being stone is that you are completely aware what's going on.
Discord could feel, utter boredom. And another weird feeling he never felt before.
While he was still petrified, there were some changes that he noticed.
Time also meant nothing, because one day sort of melted into another.
So even if Discord felt events like the elements of harmony go off again. he did not know when it happened.
After sometime he saw a change on the moon, it was a strange dotted figure that looked like a pony.
And after that was an earthquake as well as feeling some kind of force. Which felt about the same as the elements of harmony.
After that Discord saw the white one visiting him. Well ... not really visit him per se. She kind just stood there.
She took a long look at the moon.
She started to look around for something and let a 'whew'.
She lay down right in front of him completely ignoring him.
How rude!
Any small amount of fondness he had for the white one, disappeared the moment she and that other horse encased him in stone.
Now when Discord saw her, he just felt disdain.
He tried to give her an angry look, but couldn't
So he had to tolerant her presence whether he liked it or not.
He then heard sorrowful crying for few minutes.
Was she crying... ha good?
Discord felt good hearing her cry
He felt like he was having his revenge.
He heard a loud shout
"Princess Celestia!"
The white one angrily mumbled "Oh come on Lieutenant Claymore! Can't I be alone for at least some time"
Her horn glowed and she transformed into a dove, she still had a little tuff of her hair on her head.
She flew and hid in the shadow he cast.
Almost immediately a guard pony came and was looking for something. Discord assumed it was the white horse named Celestia.
Discord wished he could at lease put a neon sign pointing at her saying 'Here dum dum'. But again couldn't
All he could do was sigh mentally.
The guard searched almost everywhere but couldn't find her.
The guard then let out a groan of frustration and left to search somewhere else.
The dove let out another 'whew' and flew out.
While she flew in front of him she transformed back into her horse form and landed in front of him.
She turned and looked at him.
She gave him a grin "hm, I have really run out of places to grieve if I came here." she said to herself.
Celestia took a hoof to try to touch Discord but...
'Whoa there Celestia personal space'
As if she heard him she stopped herself
"You know, I...I...was blind and selfish"
Celestia bit her lip
"Maybe if I had been kinder...I"
"I need to change."
Discord just looked at her, wishing he could give her a dull uninterested look.
'I had no idea what you talking about nor do I care'
"Discord...I'm.." She turned away from him
"You know why you are here right?"
'Not really'
"It's because you hurt my people"
"We had no choice, what were we supposed to do?"
She let out a sigh
And then Celestia flew away
After sometime Discord felt the elements go off again but something was different about it this time.
He couldn't put his claw on it.
He noticed the moon did not have that marking on it as it before ... strange
Days after that
In the cover of the night Celestia showed up again this time with a saddlebag.
'Oh no! Please what else could they do to me? I'm already stone'
He saw those cursed jewels float out the bag she was carrying.
'NO PLEASE STOP!!!'
Then bright flash appeared
Discord found himself bracing for the worst. After some time he realized he was no longer a statue.
And he also saw he was somewhere else
A plain glass field with trees full of fruits everywhere, as well as a nearby brook. He could also see a cave in the distance.
Where was he?
He felt incredibly weak and drained laying on the ground practically crawling.
There he saw Celestia standing a few inches away from him, her head blocked the nearly setting sun.
She towered over him, he panicked trying to get as far away from her as possible.
"Discord please, calm down I won't hurt you"
Discord ignored her and tried to crawl into the cave.
"Please, will you at least hear me out?" Celestia begged not moving from where she was.
Discord stopped and let out a sigh he really did not have a choice.
"What is it Princess? Did you free me because you wanted something or was it to finish the job?" Discord spitefully asked
"Neither, I wanted to give you a second chance"
Discord looked straight into her eyes to see if she was telling the truth. He could see she was not lying.
"Why?
She sighed her face taking on a mixed look of grief, despair, and bitterness.
"Let's just say that I'm trying to change myself into being more benevolent"
" I need to change, because ever since her disappearance I been trying to be a kinder ruler. So I'm giving you a chance to change as well. Please don't make me regret it."
"... Perhaps you'll find something other than chaos."
With that, she ignited her horn and disappeared.
He crawled inside the cave. Even though Discord wasn't an animal expert he could tell the cave had been long abandoned.
He then took a rest.
Celestia transported back home a part of her instantly belittled herself about what she did. Mainly because it put Equestria in danger. However, she had felt it was the right thing to do. 'I hope so because I won't able to wield the elements again since the bearers had been found.'
She felt a wave of sleep hit her before she turned in for the night. She looked at the moon. A smile came on her face when she saw the moon was plain and had no spots on it.
Discord also felt himself getting close to sleep. The strange feeling he felt when he was a statue returned tenfold.
Discord took a closer look at the nocturnal animals around him. Which he didn't even notice until now. They stuck together in groups .
Discord never felt he needed anyone, he has his chaos and that was enough. But now that his chaos was low he had nothing . Add to that the fact that his years as a statue no one really visited him. So He didn't mind having company until his chaos fully returned.
So Discord had enough energy for one more spell. He realized no one would keep him company. After all, it's been a thousand years, hardly anyone knew who he was. And also there was the whole attacking Equestria thing. He sighed give a long stare at his claw, the odd feeling bothering him again, in desperation he decided to do something he would never do.
Something against his very nature.
Use a destiny spell to summon the one who was destined to be with him, and only him.
He knew that destiny was a set thing that everyone in the universe had one being destined to be with them.
However since Discord's very nature was chaotic, destiny was something that went against chaos itself. Because destiny is something that will happen. That and he never used this spell on himself.
So Discord knew this spell was dangerous for him. He figured whatever effects this spell would take would be only temporary.
So with his last bit of magic he cast the destiny spell. He saw a huge light and it slowly envelop him. He felt some kind of force overwhelm him. This force felt like it was tearing him apart.
This was a mistake!
He tried to stop it, but he was knocked completely out.
Discord let out a painful groaned, feeling dizzy and woozy. He tried to stand up, instead ended up stumbling around like a drunkard. This caused him to face plant on the grass in front of his cave.
He rolled into a sitting position and was mildly confused as to what actually happened. He saw the puddle of droll where he was laying in the cave.
How long was he out?
As he got into a standing position he heard a soft moan.
'Oh that's right I cast the destiny spell, I wonder who's supposed to be my destined one'
He quickly looked around putting his claw to his forehead, trying to see where they were.
Discord didn't see anyone around. However, he instantly noticed something odd as he put claw his forehead like it was more furry than usual .
He slowly brought his claw in front his face
She felt a strange feeling on her back like she was pressed against something. She slowly begin to wake , her eyelids raising slowly seeing a strange gray shape in front her.
They looked at each other for the longest time. Both of them processing what they were really looking at.
At the same time they let out a very loud scream.
She tried to run, however all she was doing was running in place in the midair getting nowhere.
She started to cry.
Discord would never think this would ever happen.
In place of his claw was the top half of a butter yellow winged pony with pink hair. She was fused into him.
Rendered completely speechless by this. Discord could only gawk at her in disbelief.
The mare's hair blocked her eyes. She used her hooves to move her hair, and took a long look at him
"Who...what are you?" She softly said
"Please let me go" she whimpered
"This is my destined one?!" Discord said feeling a little swindled.
She let a scared 'eep' and then an "I'm sorry"
He loudly groaned.
"Alright , I should explain things, after all you were just summoned here"
Discord puffed out his chest and stood straight "I'm Discord, I am a draconequus"
"A what ?"
"A draconequus a creature made of different parts. I am also the lord of chaos"
"Well...um...I'm..." The mare paused, her mouth feeling real dry all the sudden. She felt as if she hadn't had a drop of water in days. She swallowed some split for some relief and continued "Fluttershy" She said in a sore voice.
"Mmm so could you reverse whatever this is?"
Discord closed his eyes tight letting out a groan as if he was trying hard at something.
He opened his eyes saw nothing change.
He sighed and said "You see when I snap my claw, my magic will active"
"And since you are where my claw is...um was..."
"I'm in charge of your magic" Fluttershy said finishing his sentence
"Pretty much" Discord grumbled
"So how does it work?"
"You mean my magic? It's kinda hard to explain...."
Discord then took the time to talk about chaos magic. Which to her sounded like incomprehensible nonsense. He might as well been talking in another language.
Fluttershy gained a throbbing headache just listening to him.
She use her hoofs to massage her temples to relive her headache.
"Sssoo, why did you do this in the first place?"
"I WAS LONELY OKAY! It's not like I asked you to be my destined one"
"What do you mean destined one? You keep on saying that"
"Don't tell me I have to explain what destiny is? I would think a sentient horse creature like yourself would what that is!"
Discord was running out of patience for this Fluttershy. So whatever ...goodwill? He had was running out as well.
A few tears fell down Fluttershy's cheek
"Why would you call me a sentient horse creature? Am I ugly?"
"But that's what you are! A sentient winged horse creature"
"Well, what if I called you a sentient ..." Fluttershy stopped and scanned him from head to toe
"Brown horse with a head of a pony with a donkey mane, with a deer antler, goat horn...mmm"
She cocked her head and peered into his mouth "Snake tongue, lion paw, lizard leg, deer leg"
She was almost out of breath when she identified the rest in one fast long sentence. "Bat winged, blue bird winged dragon tailed creature!"
She gasped for air, breathing rapidly.
Discord actually impressed let out a "huh"
"Second of all..." She wheezed "I'm a pegasus pony... not a horse there's a different"
"And yes I do know what destiny is, but I am not sure what it has to do with my predicament"
He sighed
"Did you know that there's one law that is universally true. There is someone who is your destined one, one being in the whole of all the universes, who is meant to be."
" So I cast that spell so I can meet that being ... and that being was you"
Fluttershy was awestruck "But I don't even know you"
"Destiny and chaos mix about as well as oil and water." Discord slowly said as if he was explaining it to a foal.
"I have no control over what that spell does"
Fluttershy's thirst was getting even worse her mouth feeling she took a bite of sand . "So in other words you can't fix it"
"No... but maybe you could. You are where my claw would be"
Fluttershy tried in vain to close her eyes, wiggle her ears, snort but nothing happened.
Discord then noticed Fluttershy's wings wasn't moving and was pinned to her body.
His eyebrows raised
"Do winged... I mean pegasuses usually not use their wings?"
"It's pegasi, and... I don't want to talk about it"
"It could be a way to cast the magic"
Fluttershy looked really sad about that. She stretched her wings but then she suddenly shook her head.
A river of tears flowed down and she quickly withdrew her wings.
She ended up whimpering.
She then spotted a nearby birds nest
Fluttershy's sorrow instantly turned to joy.
Maybe he wasn't expecting it or she was that strong. But she flapped her wings dragging him to where the tree was.
"What!..Hey! You can use those..."
She pointed her hooves to her lips "SHHHH! Look a little baby bird it's trying to fly"
"Really? This is what you were excited about?" He sarcastically said
She completely ignored him and focused solely on the bird.
The baby bird flapped as hard as it could at the end of the nest.
"Oh come on little guy, you can do it!"
Discord placed his lion paw on his face, sighed and rolled his eyes.
The baby bird did a leap of faith Fluttershy reacted by gasping sure, that the bird would hit the ground.
But then the bird successfully flew.
She clapped her hooves above her head in glee.
As soon she clapped her hooves, A six pack of cola suddenly leaded on Discord's head
She gasped in worry "Are you okay?"
After stars circled around his head he uttered a "I'm fine"
Fluttershy looked at the six pack of cola "Oh my, Cherry Colta Cola my favorite"
Discord just gave her a look
"I was really...really thirsty" she sheepishly said
Discord groaned sat up opened one of the colas' lid with his mouth and said "The gods must be crazy"

Yeah, if you are familair with Midori Days. You knew where it was going.
Honesty I was going cancel this story altogether because the lastest chapters of Disneyfanatic's Power Ponies. I was planing the same route for this story. I was ready to throw in the towel. but I thought 'you know what I'll just keep going'
Well hop aboard the I have no idea what I'm doing train!. 
Also ten points for anyone who recognizes the ' The gods must be crazy' reference
