Beauties and the Beast
Spike's letter to Princess Celestia
Previous ChapterDear mom,
I think I finally understand what it means to be, well me.
It's true, while I am a dragon, and my friends are ponies, and you are a pony, no matter what happens, I can't forget that you and every pony I've made friends with are my family.
True, we've had some ups and downs, and we've ended up making several mistakes here and then. And I can admit some of my mistakes, from turning into a greedy, rampaging dragon that nearly destroyed Ponyville, or accidentally turning some pony I loved into a crazy maniac because of a spell I found in yours and auntie's old castle, or my recent one, easily putting my trust in the claws of some stranger who claims himself to be my father.
But like you've always taught us, these mistakes do not define us for who we are. What really shines the beauty within us, is how we recognize our flaws, and how we learn from them.
And with that, I hope to become an even better dragon when I grow up to spread the magic of friendship, and to show the world the beauty of family, no matter the species or blood relations.
Your loving son,
Spike the dragon.
P.S. I love you mom. And tell auntie I love her too.
