Operation:Sleepover
9. Sleepover Week in Review
Previous ChapterAround 10am, Magenta brought her clothes to the laundromat, including a lot of her sleepwear. As she was munching on a bagel, Trixie appeared.
“Greetings from the Great and Powerful Trixie!” Trixie announced.
Magenta Whisp shook her head in silent laughter. “Like to make your presence felt. Don’t you?”
“When you have a good thing going, why waste it?”
Trixie sat next to Magenta, hoping to get some information. “How was your week of sleepovers, Magenta?”
“It was fantastic!” Magenta cheered. “Every night was like magic.”
“You said that you spent the night at Twilight’s house on night one. How about the other nights.”
Magenta was hoping she would ask that question. “Here’s how it went, Trixie. I spent night two at Applejack’s house, night three with Rarity, and night four with Sunset and Wallflower at a hotel.”
Trixie’s eyes widened. “Ah. The garden expo. I heard Wallflower learned a lot from that event. Please continue.”
Magenta continued her story. “Night five was with Rainbow Dash at Spitfire’s beach house, night six was a camping trip with Fluttershy, night seven was at Pinkie Pie’s house, and last night was a big slumber party at the Rich house.”
“What?!” Trixie yelped. “You and the Rainbooms were at Filthy Rich and Spoiled Rich’s house? How did you manage that?”
“Don’t ask me, Trixie. I was just invited.”
Trixie was astounded about the week Magenta had. “I wish I had friends like those seven girls. Then again, I wish I had any friends. Time to go. Bye, Magenta.”
Trixie left the laundromat. That gave Magenta some breathing room. Later that night, Magenta slipped on her long sleeve nightgown, and prepared for bed.
As she was sitting on the bed, her mother came in.
“Hey, Magenta.” Willow greeted. “Are you okay?”
“I guess so.” Magenta answered. “It feels strange being in my own room. Where have eight days gone so fast?”
“To think, it all started when you couldn’t go to Fillydelphia because of a funeral. That’s where I helped out.”
“Right. You called Twilight Sparkle and told her about my problem. Then, she and her friends set up the sleepover week.”
Willow sat next to her daughter. “Let’s talk about that week. Tell me about night one with Twilight.”
“Nothing special.” Magenta answered. “I just spent the night at her house.”
“Very basic. I like it. How about night two with Applejack?”
Magenta straightened out her hair. “After I had that tasty dinner she and her family cooked up, I went outside to watch the setting sun over the Apple trees.”
Willow had a thought. “With your shoes off. Right?”
Magenta got a shock. “ How did you know?”
“You left for Sweet Apple Acres wearing your overalls, honey. I figured you would be like a barefoot farm girl.”
Magenta’s face went a little bit red. “Oh, right. Good guess.”
“Anyway, what happened during night three?”
“I went to Rarity’s house.” Magenta explained. “I dressed elegantly, knowing what Rarity is like. I even put on my beautiful short sleeve nightgown. Rarity was very impressed with me.”
“Besides nice fashions,” Willow interrupted, “what else did you do?”
“Me, Rarity, and Sweetie Belle sat together to watch a movie.”
Willow was happy to hear that. “Nice of Rarity to let Sweetie Belle join you guys. What about night four?”
“Glad you asked.” Magenta said. “I went to a hotel in Canterlot City where I spent the night with Sunset Shimmer and Wallflower Blush.”
“That’s right. The garden expo Wallflower was looking forward to.”
“That’s right. I’m happy that Spitfire and her mom took me there. They were going to the city anyway to attend a birthday party.”
“That’s where you got that slice of cake from.” Willow uttered, shaking with silent laughter. “Speaking of Spitfire, what happened at her beach house during night five?”
“Well, mom,” Magenta confirmed, “after an afternoon of surfing with Rainbow Dash and Spitfire, the three of us attended a barbecue that Spitfire’s mom, Stormy Flare, and Soarin Skies prepared. As I was relaxing, the sounds of the ocean lulled me to sleep.”
“Sounds like fun.” Willow chirped. “Speaking of sounds of nature, how was night six? The camp out with Fluttershy.”
“Beautiful. You saw the pictures I took of the animals. Didn’t you?”
“I sure did. They turned of lovely.”
Magenta was happy to know her mother loved her pictures. “Thanks, mom.”
Willow stood up again, smoothing out her pajamas. “Tell me about night seven.”
“I spent the night with Pinkie Pie.” Magenta answered. “And, her sister, Limestone was there too.”
“Limestone?” Willow yelped. “That’s a big shock. Finally, what happened last night?”
Magenta stood up and stretched. “I went to the luxurious home of Spoiled Rich. I found myself in a guest room, occupied by all seven Rainbooms.”
“Wow!” Willow cheered. “How did that go?”
“More quietly than I thought. We just talked about all of our experiences, especially mine. We then had pizza, and then, went to sleep.”
Magenta and Willow engaged in a sweet hug.
“I’m glad you had fun this week.” Willow praised. “Aren’t you glad I called Twilight that day?”
“I am.” Magenta replied. “And, thanks.”
Magenta laid down on her bed, and got comfortable. Willow gave her daughter a sweet kiss. “Good night, Magenta.”
Willow leaves the room, and closes the door.
“Good night, mom.” Magenta replied quietly. She turned off her lamp, and went straight to sleep.
The next morning, Magenta’s alarm clock goes off, and she wakes up refreshed. Soon, she gets dressed, packs her backpack, prepares her lunch and heads out the door.
“Bye, mom.” Magenta calls out. “See you after school.”
Magenta arrives at Canterlot High School, feeling happy and relaxed. After putting stuff in her locker, she heads for her first class when she ran into Principal Celestia.
“Morning, Principal Celestia.” Magenta said.
“Good morning, Magenta Whisp.” Principal Celestia responded. “Had a nice week off?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Magenta knows one thing as she walks to class. This was one Spring Recess she’ll never forget.

I figured to create a character of my own to be the subject of this story.
