Chapters Vacation Time in Equestria.
Author's Note
This is the start of a new story where Megan spends a week in Equestria. Twilight Sparkle and her friends are ready to help her out.
Vacation Time in Equestria.
At her farmland home one morning, Megan sits under a tree with tears in her eyes. Her mother came over to try to cheer her up.
“Are you okay, Megan?” The mother asked with concern.
“Not really.” Megan answered sadly. “I can’t believe that I’m not going on vacation with Danny and Molly this season.”
“I’m shocked as well. Your father and I even had extra farmhands to help us this year.”
Megan began to shake as she starts to sob. “It was not fair for Aunt Rachel to have me stay home.” She began to cry loudly. “I was all set to stay at the hotel Danny and Molly are going to. Now, I can’t join them or that spoilsport Aunt of mine!”
Megan cried loudly and shook more until her mother grabbed her. “Megan! Calm down! You don’t want to me to tie you up and have you taken to the barn. Do you?”
Hearing that, Megan flashed back to when Princess Celestia had her tied up after being verbally abused by the pony, Shadow Streak. She soon calmed down. “No, I guess not.”
“Then, don’t panic. I’m sure somebody will think of something.”
Inside her bedroom, Megan had her boots off and is laying on her bed, trying to think of a possible solution to this situation.
Mom does have a point. Megan thought. There has to be a way to enjoy my vacation time. Even if I have to stay home. Suddenly, an idea came into her head. “I got it!”
Megan went into her dresser drawer, and got out a midnight blue binder with a picture of a magenta colored star and sparkles on it. She opened to her first page, which is blank, took a pen, and began to write.
“Dear Twilight Sparkle,” She started, “I have a week off from school, and was all set for a vacation. However, a relative decided to have me excluded. And now, I can’t join Danny and Molly. I wonder if I can spend some vacation time with you and your friends. If you don’t mind of course. Your friend, Megan.”
As Megan checked the spelling of her message, her father comes in to check on her.
“Hey, Megan.” The father greeted happily. “Catching up on some reading?”
“Actually, dad,” Megan responded, “I was just checking my message to Twilight before I send it to her.”
Mr. Williams saw the binder Megan has, and realized what it was. “Oh. That’s the binder you brought home from your last visit to Equestria. Right?”
“That’s right.” Megan answered proudly. “Now, I can keep in contact with my Alicorn friend. All I have to do is close the cover, and the message is set.”
“And, what message did you right?”
“I wrote to Twilight about my vacation problem, and wondered if she can help me out.”
The father pondered for a moment. Then, he gave an opinion. “Why not? If you can’t be with Danny and Molly, you can be with your friends in Equestria. Nothing much would happen to you here anyway.”
“You got it, dad.” Megan proudly said. “Thanks for your support.”
Smiling, Megan’s father left the room as Megan closed the binder. Stars swirl around her binder as the farm girl smiled. “Now, all I have to do is wait for a response from Twilight.”
Later, after having her lunch, Megan went to her backyard, took off her shoes, and laid down in the hammock. As Megan was snoozing, she felt something that felt like feathers rubbing on her feet. Megan soon started to giggle. Then, she started to laugh. After about thirty seconds, the feeling of being tickled was over.
When she opened her eyes, she saw a familiar lavender pony.
“Twilight Sparkle!” Megan shouted in shock. “I didn’t expect you to tickle me.”
“I can learn a thing or two from Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.” Twilight explained.
Megan got off the hammock, and sat on a deck chair as Twilight approached her.
“I got your message.” Twilight said. “I feel bad for you.”
“Thanks, Twi.” Megan replied as she hugged the Alicorn. “At least somebody does.”
As the hug ended, Twilight gave her a response. “I think it’s a good idea to spend your vacation time in Equestria. There’s a whole week of events me and my friends are looking forward to.”
“Really?” Megan yelped.
“No joke. I think we would be happy to have you join us for a week. And, I know how. Let’s talk to your parents about this.”
At the barn, Megan, her family, and Twilight talked about her idea.
“I think it’s a great idea for a vacation in Equestria.” The mother said happily.
“Me too.” The father added. “But, having a heavy duffle bag on your back is very tricky, Twilight.”
“That’s where my idea comes in.” Twilight informed. “Megan can bring a change of clothes with her today. Every day after this, me or any of my friends can suggest about what clothes she would like to wear the next day.”
“Oh. So every day, it would be a surprise.” Megan said. “But, how can my clothes be delivered back and forth?”
“Any of our Pegasi friends will help in that department. Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Derpy Hooves, and any of the Wonderbolts.”
Mrs. Williams raised a curious eyebrow. “Dashie, Fluttershy, and the Wonderbolts I can understand. But, Derpy?”
“Don’t knock it, mom.” Megan assured. “Being a mail pony, she’s capable of this idea.”
“That’s true. She did visit us a couple of times.”
Minutes later, Megan steps out wearing her legendary pink and blue outfit, and has her backpack strapped on. She approaches her Alicorn friend.
“Are you ready for take off?” Twilight asked.
“I am.” Megan answered. “Let’s get this party started.”
Megan climbs on Twilight’s back. Then, they take off to the sky with Megan’s parents watching.
“Do you think she’ll have a good week in Equestria?” Mr. Williams asked with concern.
“With Twilight and the ponies of Equestria as friends,” Mrs. Williams replied, “how can she miss?”

What better place for Megan to begin her vacation than in Ponyville.
Day 1-Ponyville
Minutes later, Twilight and Megan arrived at Equestria. After touching down in Ponyville, the legendary friend hopped off as she and the Princess of Friendship made their way to Twilight’s castle.
“I’m very interested into spending my vacation here with you and your friends, Twi.” Megan said happily.
“I’m sure you are, Megan.” Twilight replied. “My friends and I will be happy to help you with this situation.”
The pair soon looked up into the sky and saw Rainbow Dash looping into the air. The daredevil saw the pair and descended. She stopped in midair, and landed safely. Rainbow Dash then expanded her wings. Megan looked at this, and raised an eyebrow. “Show off.”
“Gotta practice for the next show me and the Wonderbolts will be performing.” Rainbow replied as she spots the visitor. “So, what brings you here, Megster?”
“Would you believe I’m spending my vacation in Equestria?” Megan stated.
Rainbow was surprised. “No joke?”
“No joke. My vacation plans back home got scrapped. So, I figured you and the others can help me.”
“Let’s go into the castle and talk about this.” Twilight added.
As they enter the castle, the three friends walk through the halls until a boom was heard. Megan got sprayed by confetti. Twilight and Rainbow were shocked, but not surprised. After she brushed off the confetti, Megan called out to someone. "Okay, Pinkie! Where are you?"
From one of the open doors, Pinkie slowly came out, rolling her confetti cannon. "Hi, Megan. Did my confetti blast scare you?"
"Out of my wits? Yes." Megan answered.
Twilight and Rainbow started laughing which got Megan’s attention. “What are you two giggling about?”
Inside the meeting room, Megan and the Mane Six discuss the subject.
“Poor dear.” Rarity said sadly. “I feel your pain.”
“Thanks, Rarity.” Megan replied. “At least somepony does.”
“We all feel your pain, honey.” Applejack said. “Having your vacation plans taken away is not fair.”
“Thanks. Now, how can I spend a whole week here?”
“Well, you can visit a different place every day, Megan.” Twilight suggested.
Megan’s eyes widened. “You’re right. There are many places to visit. Sweet Apple Acres, Manehattan, The Crystal Empire, Canterlot, Everfree Forest, the possibilities are endless!”
“Then,” Fluttershy said, “how about starting things here in Ponyville?”
“Flutters is right.” Dash added. “There are great things to do here.”
“As a matter of fact,” Twilight informed, “my friends and I are set to clean our school. And, the students who make up the Young Six are going to help us.”
“The School of Friendship is being cleaned up?” Megan blurted. “Sounds like a lot of work.”
“It sure is.” Twilight then has an idea. “Since you’re staying in Equestria for the week, how about helping us?”
Megan thought about it for a little bit. Then, she gave an answer. “I’m for it. I need to do something during my stay. So, count me in.”
“I always knew you’re a hard worker.” Applejack said happily. “Thanks for volunteering.”
“Not a problem.” Megan said proudly. “Let me put my backpack in the guest room, and I’ll meet you there.”
“Thank you, Megan.” Twilight chirped as she hugged her human friend. “See you later.”
As Twilight and her friends leave for the school, Megan heads for the guest room to put down her backpack. I’ll see you later. Now, on to the school.
Later, at the School of Friendship, Twilight and her friends and the Young Six gathered in the hallway.
“Okay, everypony.” Twilight started to say, “thank you all for coming. Now, that the school is closed for the week, we’re ready to clean this place.”
“Cleaning this place seems a bit boring.” Smolder said gruffly.
“Not if you use your imagination sometimes, Smolder.” Pinkie Pie added.
“Miss Pinkie Pie is right.” Gallus figured. “Cleaning can be a little fun if you put your mind to it.”
Twilight was pleased to hear that. “Well said, Gallus.”
Megan soon arrived to join the others. “Am I late?”
“Human girl on time.” Yona answered gratefully. “We ready for clean up duty.”
“Yona’s right, Megan.” Sandbar added. “We’re just about ready to get to work.”
Twilight Sparkle gives everybody the green light. “Okay, let’s get to work.”
Everybody separated to clean up the school. Ocellus and Fluttershy flew up to the ceilings to dust the areas. Twilight and Rarity used their magic to straighten up chairs and desks. Pinkie and Sandbar swept up any confetti the party pony may have shot out.
Outside, in a sports arena, Rainbow Dash, Gallus, and Smolder mowed the lawn, swept up the leaves, and pick up any trash. Back inside, Applejack, Yona, and Silverstream cleaned up the cafeteria area. Inside an office, Megan helps Starlight Glimmer straighten up the area.
“Thanks for helping me, Megan.” Starlight praised.
“My pleasure, Starlight.” Megan replied. “Nice change of pace for you here. Isn’t it?”
“You’re right about that. I recently visited my old home village. Everypony there is proud of me being a Student Counselor.”
“Well, ever since Twilight decided to help turn your life around, you’ve become a good friend to everypony.”
Starlight blushed, knowing Megan is right. Later, the school was cleaned up, all of the students went their seperate ways, and Megan and the Mane Six went back to the castle.
“Good work, friends.” Twilight praised. “You all did a good job.”
Everyone smiled. Starlight was impressed with Megan’s part in the clean up job. “You sure helped out well, Megan.”
“Hard work builds character, you know.” Megan replied.
“That must be from working at your farmland home.” Rarity figured. “Correct?”
“That’s right, Rarity.”
Rainbow Dash looked at Applejack with a smug look on her face. “No wonder you get along with her, AJ. You farm folks do get along.”
Applejack blushed at the comment. Later that night, Megan slipped on a magenta long sleeve nightgown, and got ready for bed when Twilight knocked on the door. “Are you decent, Megan?”
“I am, Twi.” Megan answered. “Come in.”
Twilight came into the guest room and saw Megan in her sleepwear. “That’s a nice color on you.”
“Aw, Thanks.” Megan replied.
“So, Megan. Are you ready for another seven days of surprises?”
“Maybe. I don’t know what you and your friends have in store, but I’ll be ready for anything.”
“Good response. Good night.”
Twilight left the room and closed the door. Megan climbed on the bed, pulled the covers over her, and got ready to sleep.
I’ll be ready. Megan thought as she drifted off. This ends day number one.
Author's Note
For day 2, Megan goes on a camping trip to Everfree Forest. There are mentions of another of my classic stories, "Zecora's Medicine Quest".
Day 2-Everfree Forest
The sun rises in Ponyville. Inside the castle, Megan wakes up, slowly gets out of bed, and looks out the window.
It's so beautiful out here. Megan thought. Princess Celestia does a good job having the sun rise.
Megan hears a knock at the door. She then hears the voice of Twilight Sparkle. "May we come in?"
"Sure. I just got up." Megan replied.
Twilight and Spike came into the guest room as Megan greeted them, "Morning, Twilight. Morning, Spike."
"Good morning, Megan." Twilight replied jouyfully. "Did you sleep good last night?"
"I sure did. This is one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in."
Spike then noticed something different about the visitor. "First time I see you with your hair down."
Megan giggled a little. "I guess you're right, Spike. It won't take me long to brush it out, and put a ribbon on. I brought some grooming tools with me when I first came here."
"Pinkie is readying some pancakes and fresh fruit." Twilight informed. "Everything will be ready in twenty minutes."
"Okay, Twi. I'll be groomed and dressed in no time."
"Excellent. Bring your backpack with the clothes you wore yesterday for the exchange."
Twilight and Spike left the guest room as Megan got out her hairbrush. I wonder what the Mane Six have in store for me today.
Inside the dining room, Pinkie served up the pancakes, and had some fresh fruit set up. There was strawberries, bananas, apples from Sweet Apple Acres, and blueberries served. Megan came in with her hair in a lavender ribbon. She has on a light teal T shirt, blue capri jeans, and white sneakers. Everypony is amazed.
"My goodness, dear." Rarity said. "That's a nice outfit you're wearing. Basic. But, good looking."
"Yeah." Dash agreed. "Very comfortable looking."
"Thanks, guys." Megan praised. "Sometimes, I have to have a variety of clothing, you know."
"And, a variety of hair ribbons, no doubt." Twilight noticed. "That ribbon you have on matches my body."
"Glad you noticed. I brought a bunch of different colored ribbons along with my grooming tools."
"I get it." Applejack figured. "Just wearing red all the time can get boring."
"You got it, Applejack." Megan replied happily.
Soon, everybody enjoyed the breakfast Pinkie prepeared. Even Megan was eating happily. "These panckaes are delicious, Pinkie Pie. My compliments to the chef."
Pinkie Pie smiled at the comment. "Thanks, Megan. I hope you like the fresh fruit I put out too."
"I sure do." Megan soon munched on an apple. After taking a sip of water, she praised the farmer pony. "I can see why the apples at Sweet Apple Acres are praised by all of Equestria. They're amazing!"
Applejack blushed as Starlight whispered to Twilight. "Wait until Megan finds out what's in store for her later."
Later that day, Megan and Twilight looked up into the sky expecting something.
"I wish Rainbow Dash would come back soon with my backpack." Megan wondered nervously.
"Not to worry." Twilight assured. "Rainbow Dash explains to your parents what's in store for you today. And, they give you the appropriate clothing for the next day." She put her hoof on Megan's shoulder. "Don't worry. You're pink and blue outfit will be fine."
Soon, Rainbow Dash returned with Megan's backpack. "Here you go."
"Thanks, Dash." Megan said with relief.
"I'm not the only one who traveled to your farmland home."
Just then, a muscular white pony with small wings came to Ponyville carrying a case, a sleeping bag and a pillow. Megan recognized the pony. "Bulk Biceps! You went to my home too?"
"I sure did!" Bulk said excitedly. "Your parents never saw a pony like me."
"That's for sure." Megan soon saw what Bulk brought with him. "My tent, my sleeping bag, and one of my pillows. What's all this stuff for?"
"This was Fluttershy's idea." Bulk responded.
Megan was shocked. "Fluttershy?"
Twilight came along to give an explanation. "Fluttershy figured that your second day is a little camping trip to the Everfree Forest."
"Everfree Forest?" Megan yelped. "Wow! That takes me back to when I was helping Zecora."
"Oh yeah." Spike said, realizing what she was talking about. "You and her worked together to rid Diamond Tiara of a nasty tummy ache."
Megan nodded with agreement. Later that day, Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle, with their camping gear, make their way through the Everfree Forest. Megan walks right behind them.
"Thank you for letting me join you, Fluttershy." Sweetie Belle praised.
"You're welcome, Sweetie Belle." Fluttershy replied. "I'm very happy that Rarity is letting you join me."
"Like I said," Megan added, "this takes me back to when I was helping Zecora."
"That's what Zecora told me." Fluttershy said. "Speaking of which, we are camping near her home."
Sweetie Belle and Megan were shocked to hear that.
"Really?" Sweetie Belle. "Well, as long as we don't go anywhere near any Poison Joke."
"Poison Joke?" Megan wondered. "Aren't those the weird flowers that causes different effects on any victim?"
"How did you know, Megan?" Fluttershy asked.
"Twilight told me about that experience. Her horn got bent, Rainbow's wings got messed up, Pinkie Pie's tongue sticks out a lot, Rarity's hair is a mess, Applejack shrunk," Megan then turned to Fluttershy sadly, "and your voice became very deep."
Fluttershy bent her head down. "Please, don't remind me."
A minute later, the three travelers made it to Zecora's hut. As they were setting up their campsites, the wise zebra came by and saw them.
"Greetings, noble group of three. What brings you here to see me?" Zecora greeted.
"Hello, Zecora." Fluttershy replied. "Sweetie Belle, Megan, and I are camping here for the night."
"We hope you don't mind." Sweetie Belle added.
"I like to have visitors, now and then." Zecora said as she turns to Megan. "Megan, it's good to see you again."
"Thank you, Zecora." Megan replied as she and Zecora hugged each other. "I can still remember the time you and me went looking for ingredients for a brew to cure Diamond Tiara's tummy ache."
"Megan," Sweetie Belle interrupted, "wasn't there one area that you were a bit afraid of?"
"I'm afraid so. The ruins of the Castle of the Two Sisters."
"I remember that place." Fluttershy realized. "That's where we of the Mane Six battled and defeated Nightmare Moon."
"Put that moment behind, adventurous lot." Zecora suggested. "I have something brewing in my pot."
"You do. What is it."
"I'm brewing some fresh vegetable stew. I would like to share it with each of you."
The three travelers smiled after hearing that. Later that night, they were in their tents, getting ready for sleep. Wearing a blue long sleeve shirt and midnight blue sweatpants, Megan looks up into the sky.
Wow. The full moon looks beautiful tonight. Megan thought. Princess Luna does a good job raising the moon nicely.
Fluttershy looks from her tent, and sees Megan looking up into the sky. The nature lover approaches the human friend.
"Admiring the night sky?" Fluttershy asked.
"I sure am." Megan answered. "I'm glad you invited me to join you for this trip. That stew Zecora cooked was delicious."
"I think so too. She goes to farmers markets to find fresh vegetables for that stew."
"That's why it tasted so good. Seems that Sweetie Belle enjoyed it too."
Fluttershy yawned and went back to her tent. "I think it's time to go to sleep. Good night, Megan."
Believing that Fluttershy had the right idea, Megan went back to her own tent. "Nighty night, Fluttershy."
Going into her tent, Megan got into her sleeping bag, put her head on her pillow, and slowly fell asleep. This ends day number two.
Author's Note
From the quiet of Everfree Forest to the activity of Manehattan. Megan joins Rarity and Photo Finish for a day of sight seeing.
Day 3-Manehattan
As the sun rises in Equestria, the rays shine through the Everfree Forest. Megan stepped out of her tent, and enjoyed the sunrise.
"Good morning, Megan." Said a young female voice.
Startled, Megan turned, and saw Sweetie Belle standing next to her.
"Oh, it's you, Sweetie Belle." Megan realized. "You gave me quite a start."
Fluttershy came along, and joined them. "How did you girls sleep last night?"
"I slept pretty good." Sweetie Belle answered. "The sounds of the frogs and crickets lulled me to sleep."
Fluttershy turned to Megan. "How about you, my barefoot friend?"
"I slept good too." Megan replied. "This was a good idea to have me camping with you."
"You're welcome. I believe it's time we pack up, and head back to Ponyville."
"Roger that, Fluttershy." Megan said as she heads back to her tent. "Just let me get dressed first."
A little while later, the three travelers returned to Ponyville. As they are welcomed back, Twilight and the others were impressed with Megan's outfit. She wore a magenta blazer over a white buttoned shirt, a blue skirt, and black strapped shoes. And, she has a bright blue ribbon in her hair.
"Wow." Twilight said. "You look very dignified, Megan."
"Thanks, Twilight." Megan said, feeling good about the comment. "I take it that this outfit is for my next destination."
"Correct, darling." Rarity said. "You and I are going to Manehattan."
Megan was shocked to hear about that. "Manehattan? Wow! That's different for me."
"Indeed." Rarity replied. "Me and Photo Finish are going there to enjoy the sights of that big city. Then, we're spending the night at the Manefare Hotel."
"But first," Twilight suggested, "I think we should exchange Megan's clothes for the next day."
"Let's not forget to have her camping gear back to her home." Applejack added.
Megan was a little concerned. "Who's going to help with that this time?"
"Not to worry, Megster." Rainbow Dash answered. "I asked Spitfire and Soarin' to help with that."
The kind human girl hugged the daredevil. "Thanks, Rainbow."
Later, Rarity, Photo Finish, and Megan rode the Friendship Express. They enjoy the ride as they make their way to Manehattan.
"I'm surprised that nopony got shocked at the sight of me." Megan realized.
"Not to worry, my friend." Photo assured. "Many ponies all over Equestria and beyond know of your legendary exploits. They just don't make a big deal about it. That all."
"If you say so, Photo. At least Spitifre and Soarin' Skies delivered my camping gear back home safe and sound."
Rarity soon gave Megan a bottle of water. "Something to quench your thirst, darling?"
"Thanks, Rarity." Megan said happily. twisting off the cap, she took a little sip of water. "Mmmm. That hit the spot."
Suddenly, Rarity saw something out the window. "We're here!"
Photo and Megan looked out the window, and saw the Mare Statue. A sign that says that they're getting close to Manehattan.
"Wow!" Megan exclaimed. "I love that statue. It's like a pony version of the Statue of Liberty!"
"Ah, yes." Photo Finish realized. "A magnificent statue that's like a tourist attraction to visitors of New York City."
Megan's eyes widened. "How did you know that, Photo Finish?"
"We of Equestria studied about many locations of where you come from. That way we have an understanding about your home."
"She does have a point." Rarity added.
Soon, the train stopped at Maneway Station. The three friends got out and looked at the area.
"This city is amazing!" Megan said happily. "I can't wait to go exploring."
"Then, let's move." Rarity replied. "I'll lead the way."
The three friends traveled through the streets of Manehattan. They took a trip to an area called Bridleway. A place where many musicals are showcased. Next stop is Manehattan Park for some quiet time.
"This is a very relaxing area." Megan proudly said. "Applejack said that you and her had a friendship mission here."
"Indeed, darling." Rarity replied. "She helped build a stage at the park, so that actors can perform a play, which brought a community together."
"Between Miss Applejack's carpentry, Rarity's costume designs, and Coco Pummel's help," Photo added as she took pictures of the park, "many ponies got together to help fix up this place."
The young girl agreed. "I love the results."
"Speaking of Coco," Rarity informed, "she's probably hard at work at my store, Rarity For You. Let's head there. It's at Saddle Row, Manehattan's fashion district."
Rarity, Photo, and Megan made their way through Saddle Row, then made it to Rarity's Manehattan store. As they come in, Coco Pummel, one of the employees of the store, greeted them.
"Hello, Rarity." Coco greeted as she and Rarity hugged each other. "What brings you here?"
"Me and Photo Finish are doing a little sight seeing here in the city." Rarity explained. "And, we brought an extra guest."
Coco saw Megan, and went over to her. "Hello, Megan. Rarity told me all about you."
Megan felt humbled as Coco hugs her. "Aw, thank you. It's nice to meet you too, Coco."
Coco then turned to Rarity. "I have some great new fashions to show you."
As Coco shows Rarity some new clothes to put on display, Photo Finish turns to Megan. "This is something you don't see every day back home. Eh, Megan?"
"I agree." Megan replied. "No wonder my little brother, Danny, gets along with you."
Later that night, Rarity and company settled into the Manefare Hotel.
"Looks like you and me will be bunkmates, Photo." Rarity said pleasantly.
"I don't mind." Photo agreed. "And, I got some pretty good pictures of your travels. I'll save a few for Megan when she returns home."
"Speaking of Megan, I better see how she's doing."
Rarity went to Megan's room and knocked on her door. "Megan, darling. Are you decent?"
"I just changed into my sleepwear." Megan replied. "I'll be right there."
The door opened, and Megan stepped out. She wore a short sleeved ocean blue nightgown. Rarity was surprised. "Oh my. That's one of the fanciest nightgowns I've ever seen."
"Oh?" Megan blurted. "You think so?"
"I do. I guess when any of our Pegasus friends tell your parents where you're spending your day, they prepare appropriate clothing for you, depending on the location."
"Looks that way to me. I wonder where I'll be going tomorrow."
"I was told where your vacation will take you next. For now, it's been a long day. Let's get some sleep." The two friends hugged each other. "Good night, darling."
"Good night, Rarity." Megan replied as Rarity heads back to her room.
In her room, Megan laid down on her bed, admiring the room. Soon, she fell asleep. This ends day number three.

For day 4, Megan heads for Sweet Apple Acres to helpout the Apple Family
Day 4-Sweet Apple Acres
The next morning, the sun shined through the window of Megan's room. She yawned as she got up. Soon, there's a knock on the door.
"Yes?" Megan said with concern.
"Room service." A male voice called out.
"I don't remember ordering room service. Especially this time of the morning."
She opened the door, and a yellow male earth pony with a blue main and tail and wearing a red jacket pushed a cart into her room. The cart has a plate with a cheese omlett and a glass of orange juice. She was impressed.
"Compliments of Miss Rarity." The bellhop pony announced. "She knows that you'd wake up early."
Megan takes the tray with her breakfast and puts it on a table in her room. "Thank you. Sorry, I don't have a bit to tip you."
"That's okay. Rarity and Photo Finish already tipped me. Enjoy your breakfast."
As the bellhop pony leaves, Megan sat down to enjoy her breakfast. She took a bite of her cheese omlett, and enjoyed it very much. "Mmmm. Delicious. Rarity sure knows how to treat me right."
With that, she continues to enjoy her meal. Two hours later, The Friendship Express arrives at Ponyville as Twilight Sparkle and her friends wait for Rarity and company to come home. Rarity, Photo Finish, and Megan disembarked. This time, Megan wore a white flannel shirt, bib overalls, and a pair of brown boots. Also, she has a green ribbon in her hair.
"Hi, everypony." Twilight greeted. "How was Manehattan?"
"It was exquisite, darling." Rarity answered. "The sights never get old for me."
"I agree." Photo added. "I can't wait to have these pictures developed. I go!"
Photo left in a hurry as Megan gave her opinion to Twilight. "Manehattan was unbelievable. The stories Rarity and Photo told me are fantastic. I can see why my brother enjoyed being with them."
Applejack stepped up to talk to the legendary friend. "Do y'all know where you're going today?"
Megan looked at the clothes she's wearing. Then, had an idea. "I'm guessing Sweet Apple Acres."
"That's right. My family and I are getting everything ready for a country style jamboree. And, we need some extra help."
"And, since I'm from a farmer family myself, you figured I can help out. Right, partner?"
"That's right, Megan. I always knew you are clever."
Fluttershy then spoke up. "Do you have your backpack, Megan."
"Yes, I do." Megan replied as she strapped her backpack onto the nature lover. "Be careful with it, Fluttershy. Please."
"I will. I'll meet you at Sweet Apple Acres."
As Fluttershy took off for the Rainbow Bridge, Applejack and Megan went to Sweet Apple Acres. As the two figures arrived, Granny Smith was there to greet them.
"Welcome back to Sweet Apple Acres, Megan." Granny Smith greeted.
"Hi, Granny Smith." Megan replied as she and the eldest Apple hugged each other. "It's good to see you too."
"I assume that Applejack told you about this jamboree happening later today."
"She sure did. And, I'm ready to help."
"That's the spirit. A true lady of the farm."
Hearing the comment, Megan blushed. The barn area is being set up for the event. Applejack helps set up the banners, Apple Bloom and cousin Braeburn set the tables up for snacks, and Big Mac and Megan lift the bales of hay, and put them into the barn.
"Any more bales to put away?" Megan asked.
"Nope." Big Mac answered. "That's it. Come on down."
Meanwhile, Granny Smith and her relative, Goldie Delicious, arrive at the area.
"Looks like this barn is ready for the jamboree later today." Goldie realized.
"It sure is." Granny replied. "Everypony pitched in and got this place ready. Decorations put up, food tables ready, we're all set."
Big Mac agreed."Eeyup."
"But," Goldie wondered, "where's this human girl y'all told me about?"
"I'm right here." Megan answered as she left the barn to join the family.
Goldie looked at the farm girl. And, is amazed. "Nice to meet you, Miss Megan. I hope Granny Smith told you about me."
"She sure did, Goldie Delicious." Megan responded. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"What Granny Smith told me about you is true. It seems like you're at home here."
Megan chuckled at the comment. "You called it. I'm part of a farm family too."
Suddenly, Braeburn approached the two figures with a backpack strapped on his back.
"Excuse me, Megan." Braeburn interrupted. "Fluttershy showed up, and asked me to give you this backpack."
Unstrapping the backpack from Braeburn, Megan was very happy. "Thanks, Braeburn. It's good to have this back."
"That's yours?"
"That's right. My parents pack a change of clothes in this thing, depending where I'm going the next day."
A thought came into Granny Smith's mind. "That's right. You're staying in Equestria for a week."
"You got it, Granny Smith. And, this is day four."
Later that day, the jamboree is on. Food is being served, local musicians played country music, and a lot of guests are having fun. This includes Twilight and the rest of the Mane Six.
"Great party!" Pinkie cheered. "I couldn't have planned it better myself."
"Glad you like it." Applejack replied. "I see that my little sister and her friends are having fun too."
Applejack is right as Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo danced to the country style music. Rainbow quickly downed a mug of homemade apple cider. A loud burp came from her, which made Rarity cringe.
"Dashie!" Rarity shouted. "Please, show some manners."
Twilight looked around, and went to Applejack. "What happened to Megan, Applejack?"
"I think I know." The farm pony said. "Pardon me."
Meanwhile, under a tall tree near the farm, Megan sat on the ground with her boots off and her pant cuffs rolled up. With a mug of cider in her hand, she watched the sun set over the trees.
"I thought y'all would be here." Applejack said as she approaches the farm girl.
"Oh." Megan yelped. "Howdy, Applejack."
Applejack looks at the sunset as well. "Sure is pretty. Ain't it??"
"It sure is." Megan took a sip of the cider. "Now, I know why rainbow Dash loves your homemade cider. It's so tasty."
"Well, don't guzzle it down like she does."
"Trust me. I won't."
Applejack noticed Megan had took her boots off. "Feet ache after all of that work, I guess."
"A little." Megan said. "Sometimes, I like to relax like this."
"Works for me. You look real comfortable like this."
Applejack and Megan continue to watch the sun set. Later, night comes to Sweet Apple Acres. In the basement, Megan takes off her ribbon and gets ready for bed. Dressed in a simple white nightshirt, she lays down on a cot Granny Smith set up, drapes a blanket over her. And, slowly falls asleep. This ends day four.

This is the longest chapter of this story. Day 5 of Megan's vacation takes her to the Crystal Empire.
Day 5-The Crystal Empire
The sun began to rise over Sweet Apple Acres. In the basement of Applejack's house, Megan was just waking up when she heard the sound of somepony rushing down the stairs, and jumped on Megan. It turned out to be Apple Bloom, super excited.
"Morning, sleepy head!" Apple Bloom shouted.
Megan rubbed her eyes, and saw the little yellow pony. "Apple Bloom. Was that necessary?"
"Sorry." Apple Bloom said as she hopped off the cot. "I figured that it's time to wake up."
Applejack heard the commotion. "Everything okay down there?"
"I'm fine." Megan answered. "In spite of this living alarm clock waking me up." She then gave Apple Bloom a hug. "But, I can't stay angry at this cute little pony."
Apple Bloom smiled, and went back upstairs. Applejack came down as Megan got off the cot and stretched.
"Nice looking nightshirt, Megan." Applejack praised. "So simple, yet so functional."
"Thanks, Applejack." Megan replied. "That's nice of you to say that."
"Pinkie Pie just dropped off some donuts from Canterlot. Meet ya at the kitchen."
As Applejack went upstairs, Megan went for her backpack. "I wonder what mom and dad pack for me this time."
Later that day, Megan and Applejack went back to Ponyville. This time, Megan wore a lavender long sleeve buttoned shirt, gray capri style pants with suspenders, and black platform shoes. Megan has on a glittery silver bow in her hair.
"Hello, Megan." Twilight greeted. "Sleep well?"
"Actually, I did." Megan answered. "That cot Applejack set up was more comfy than I thought."
"Happy to hear that. Well, do you know where you're going today?"
Megan wondered, then gave a response. "No, I don't."
Twilight gave Megan her answer. "The Crystal Empire."
"The Crystal Empire?!" Megan blurted. "That's where Celestia's niece, Princess Cadence, rules. Right?"
"That's right. She's also married to my brother, Prince Shining Armor."
Starlight Glimmer and Pinkie Pie arrived to join the conversation.
"Pinkie and I are visiting the Crystal Empire too." Starlight informed. "I'm going to visit my good friend, Sunburst, while Pinkie Pie keeps Baby Flurry Heart company."
"Baby Flurry Heart?" Megan wondered.
"You'll love this baby." Pinkie Pie said. "She's a lot of fun."
Suddenly, Derpy Hooves arrived. "Hi, Megan. I was told to bring your backpack to your home."
Megan carefully strapped the backpack to the back of this mailpony. "Be careful with it, Derpy."
"I will." Derpy replied as she takes flight. "See you at the entrance to the Crystal Empire."
As Derpy takes off to the Rainbow Bridge, Megan was a little stumped. "I never thought that she's a mailpony."
"Sure, she may look a little goofy." Twilight said. "But, she is reliable."
Later, the Friendship Express arrived at a station near the entrance to the Crystal Empire. Many passengers exited the train. Starlight, Megan, and Pinkie included.
"Oh my gosh." Megan said as she looks at their destination. "This place is amazing!"
"It sure is!" Pinkie shouted. "That's why for some of us, this place never gets old."
Suddenly, Derpy Hooves came flying in. "Special Delivery for Megan Williams!"
Derpy dropped Megan's backpack, and the kind girl caught it. "Thanks, Derpy."
The happy mailpony took off as Starlight came to Megan. "Let's get going, Megan."
The three friends walk the streets of the Crystal Empire. The crystal ponies said hello to them. They especially said hello to Megan.
"I'm very touched that these crystal ponies are happy to see me." Megan realized.
A female magenta unicorn with a white mane and tail approached the group. "Even we of the Crystal Empire know of the legendary friend from the days of Ponyland. However, you're not the only legendary being in our eyes."
The unicorn points to a crystal statue of Spike holding a heart in his hand.
"That's right." Megan realized. "Spike was declared a hero after retrieving the Crystal Heart, saving this place from the deadly King Sombra. That's what Twilight and Spike told me."
"I better get going." Pinkie announced. "See you two later."
Pinkie then trotted off. As Megan and Starlight continue their tour, an orange male unicorn wearing glasses and a star studded cape approached them. "Starlight! This is a surprise."
"Sunburst." Starlight yelped. She and Sunburst hugged each other. "I hope you don't mind me coming here."
"Not at all." Sunburst replied as he adjusted his glasses. "And, I see you brought miss Megan Williams with you."
Megan's eyes widened. "You know who I am?"
"Who doesn't know the kind human girl from the days of Ponyland? I've always wanted to meet you."
"Megan's staying here at the Crystal Empire for the night." Starlight informed.
Soon, two royal guards came to the group.
"Are you Megan Williams?" One of the guards asked.
"Uh...yes." Megan answered.
"No need to panic, miss. Our leader, Princess Cadence would like to meet you. Please come with us."
Megan turned to Starlight and Sunburst. "Sorry about this, guys."
"Don't worry, Megan." Starlight replied. "You'll be okay."
Soon, the two royal guards escorted Megan inside a crystal castle. She was astounded with the structure. She then saw a heart shaped object spinning on spires.
"So, that's the Crystal Heart." Megan figured.
"That's right." One of the guards replied. "Thanks to Spike, the dragon, the heart is retrieved, and King Sombra is no more."
As the group headed for a double door, the door opened, and out steps a bright pink alicorn with a multi colored mane and tail, and has a crystal heart as a cutie mark.
"Uh, P-P-Princess Cadenece, I p-p-presume?" Megan said nervously.
"That's right." The alicorn replied. "And, you must be Megan. Twilight Sparkle told me all about you."
Feeling relief, Megan soon calmed down. "Yes, I am. Nice to meet you."
Cadence turns to her guards. "You can leave us. She's okay."
The royal guards leave the area as Megan follows Cadence into the castle.
"So, what brings you here to the Crystal Empire?" Cadence wondered.
"Twilight suggested that I spend the day here." Megan answered. "Including a sleepover somewhere. Pinkie Pie and Starlight Glimmer brought me here."
"Starlight probably is spending time with Sunburst. As for Pinkie, she's with the baby."
"Who's baby is it?"
Cadence turned and gave a simple answer. "Mine."
"WHAT?!" Megan gasped. "Pinkie is taking care of YOUR baby?"
"That's right." Said the voice of a male unicorn with a blue mane and tail. He approaches the visitor. "You must be Megan. Twilight's description of you is right down to your cheery smile."
Megan looked at the stallion. "You must be Twilight's brother, Prince Shining Armor."
"That's me. And, the loyal husband to Cadence."
Shining Armor and Cadence hugged each other. Megan couldn't help but smile at the happy couple.
"Would you like to see the baby, Megan?" Cadence asked.
"Sure." Megan replied. "I can't wait to see this bundle of joy."
Shining Armor went to the front. "Then follow us."
As Megan followed the couple into the nursery, Pinkie Pie was already there.
"Hi, folks." Pinkie greeted with her usual excitement.
"Hi, Pinkie." Megan responded. "Where's the baby?"
"Inside this crib!"
Megan looked into the crib. And, got shocked when she realized that the baby had the horn of a unicorn and the wings of a Pegasus.
"Baby Flurry Heart is a-a-an ALICORN?" Megan blurted.
"Believe me." Cadence said, calming Megan down. "We were just as shocked as you are."
"From what I heard, so were Celestia, Luna, and the Mane Six. Including Pinkie over there."
"But, she's still so cute." Pinkie cheered. "Would you like to hold her?"
Megan was surprised to hear that. Cadence gave her a gentle nod. Carefully, Megan placed her hands under Flurry Heart. And, gently picked her up. The baby cooed happily, making Megan smile.
Wow. Megan thought. I'm holding a real baby. A baby alicorn, maybe. But, a baby none the less. She looked at the baby. "Hi, Baby Flurry Heart. My name is Megan."
The baby started to fidget and cried a little bit. This made Megan nervous. "I think this baby wants to get out of my arms."
Using her magic, Cadence lifted Flurry heart and laid her down back into the crib.
"What do you think?" Pinkie asked.
"You were right, Pinkie." Megan said happily. "Flurry Heart IS cute." She then gave Pinkie a quick kiss. "Kind of like you."
Pinkie soon blushed, knowing Megan is right. Later that night, Megan is in a guest room, wearing a pair of vermillion colored pajamas. She heard a knock on the door. "Who's there?"
"It's me, Megan." The voice of Cadence answered. "May I come in?"
"Sure. I have my PJs on."
Princess Cadence came inot the room, and saw Megan's sleepwear. "I love those pajamas you're wearing. It's like the colors of a sunset."
"Thank you." Megan said proudly. "Did Starlight Glimmer and Pinkie Pie make it back to Ponyville?"
"They did. So, you have nothing to worry about."
Feeling pleased, Megan climbed into bed, and draped the blanket over her.
"I appreciate you staying with us tonight." Cadence said. "Good night, Megan."
"Nighty night, Princess Cadence." Megan replied.
As Cadence left the room, Megan placed her head on the pillow, and slowly fell asleep. This ends day five.

For day number 6, Megan heads for the wide open spaces of Appleloosa.
Day 6-Appleloosa
As morning came to the Crystal Empire, the ponies go about their everyday business. Stepping out of Cadence's castle, Megan wore a lime green buttoned shirt, brown vest, blue jeans, and brown cowboy boots. After adjusting a Stetson hat she wore, she looked at the scenery.
Farewell, Crystal Empire. Megan thought. It's been an amazing experience.
Princess Cadence comes to escort her to the exit. "Did you enjoy your visit?"
"I sure did." Megan replied. "Pretty nice way to wrap up day five of my vacation."
"That's wonderful. Where are you going to today?"
"By the looks of this outfit," The legendary friend presents the western outfit she wore. "I’d say I'm a headin' to Appleloosa."
"A nice change of pace." Cadence praised. "Just don't go crazy on the cider like your friend, Rainbow Dash, would."
"I won't." Megan tipped her hat. "Reckon I better mosey along now."
Megan walks through the city until she approached the exit. As she left the Crystal Empire, she was greeted by Rainbow Dash.
"Hi, Megster." Dash greeted. "What's up?"
"Rainbow Dash!" Megan blurted. "I was just talking about you."
"I'm sure you are. Backpack, please." Megan hands Rainbow Dash her backpack. "I'll be back. "
As Rainbow Dash left for Megan's home, Applejack came by to say hello.
"Howdy, Megan." Applejack greeted. "Looking good there."
"Howdy, partner." Megan said happily. "I'm all set for my stay at Appleloosa."
Megan and Applejack made their way to the train station.
"The train will be coming in fifteen minutes." Applejack informed. "Dashie should be back by then."
"Great change of pace." Megan figured. "From a crystal city to a good old western town."
"We're gonna have some extra passengers a comin'."
"Really? Who's tagging along?"
Suddenly, the voice of Rainbow Dash is heard. "The Wonderbolts!"
Applejack and Megan turned to see Rainbow Dash standing behind them.
"When did y'all show up?" Applejack wondered.
"About a minute ago." Dash answered as she approached Megan. "Here's your backpack, buddy."
Megan received and strapped on her backpack. "So, Dash. There's going to be a show with the Wonderbolts in town?"
"Not really. We had a show in Ponyville two days ago. Spitfire figures we all need a rest."
"And, Appleloosa is a great place to chill out. Right?"
"You got it, Megan."
"As long as ya don't go overboard with the cider." Applejack informed.
Rainbow Dash blushed when Applejack warned her about her cider drinking. "Good point."
Aboard the Friendship Express, Applejack, Megan, and the Wonderbolts enjoy the ride to Appleloosa.
"I heard that your show went great, Captain Spitfire." Megan chirped.
"Yes, it has." Spitfire said proudly. "It's too bad you weren't there, Megan. It was a great turn out."
"Especially with Rainbow Dash." Misty Fly added. "Her finisher, a rainbow loop-de-loop, really wowed the crowd."
Dash blushed as Soarin' Skies placed his hoof on her shoulder. "You should be proud of yourself, Rainbow. Your finisher was a big hit."
Minutes later, the train stopped at the station at Appleloosa. As soon as the passengers got off, they were greeted by the townsfolks as 'Welcome Wonderbolts' banners were flown.
"I'm guessin' that you and the other Wonderbolts were expected." Applejack figured.
"Yeah." Rainbow Dash admitted. "Spitfire called ahead to let these folks know that we're visiting here today."
Pretty soon, a light brown earth pony with a black mane and tail and wearing a blue vest and black Stetson hat came over to greet everyone.
"Howdy, Wonderbolts." The pony said straightening out his moustache. "Welcome to Appleloosa. We are honored to have y'all join us."
Spitifire walked up to return the greeting. "Thank you, Sheriff Silverstar. We appreciate your hospitality."
SIlverstar soon spotted Megan and greeted her. "Howdy, miss Megan. Nice of ya to visit us."
"Thank you, sheriff." Megan replied. "I hope you don't mind me visiting you."
"Not at all."
Applejack soon saw her cousin Braeburn coming. "Hey, Braeburn!"
Braeburn rushed over and hugged his cousin. "Howdy, Applejack. Came to join the Wonderbolts, I see."
"That's right. Somepony has to keep an eye on Rainbow Dash. Y'all know how she is when she drinking the cider in these parts."
Rainbow blushed hearing what her friend said. Spitfire then turned to the daredevil. "She's got you there."
As Applejack and Braeburn escorted the Wonderbolts, Silverstar had Megan join him in his office.
"I've been hearin' that you're here in Equestria for a vacation." Silverstar said.
"That's right, Sheriff." Megan replied. "This is day number six."
Day six already? Where have you been staying, friend?"
"So far, I've stayed in Ponyville, the Everfree Forest, Manehattan, Sweet Apple Acres, and recently, The Crystal Empire."
Silverstar stroked his moustache. "I see. An area of Equestria everyday. Good thinking."
"Thank you." Megan said proudly. "If you don't mind, I'd like to join my friends."
"Very well. Just stay out of trouble."
As Megan exited the sheriff's office, a light purple female earth pony with a curly teal mane and tail trotted over to her. "If y'all a lookin' fer the Wonderbolts, they're over at the rodeo. I'll take you there."
Megan tipped her hat to her, being polite. "Thank you kindly, ma'am."
The two figures went to the rodeo. The kind earth pony paid for Megan to go in. She soon spotted Applejack, and sat next to her.
"What took ya so long?" Applejack wondered.
"Sorry, Applejack." Megan said sincerely. "Sheriff Silverstar wanted to talk to me for a bit."
Suddenly, Starlight Glimmer came and sat with the group. "Hi, friends."
"Starlight!" Megan blurted. "This is a surprise. What brings you here?"
"Since school's out this week, I decided to take the students who make up the Young Six to watch the rodeo."
Megan soon saw Sandbar, Smolder, Ocellus, Yona, Gallus, and Silverstream readying themselves to watch the show.
"Howdy, everypony!" A red earth stallion with an orange and yellow striped mane and tail greeted. "It's nice of y'all to attend today's rodeo. How about a nice round of applause for our guests of honor. The Wonderbolts!"
The crowd turned to the Wonderbolts and applauded them. Spitfire, Rainbow Dash, and the rest waved to them.
"Not bad. Huh. troops?" Spitfire said. "A little recognition is a good thing."
The rodeo went on. Various acts were displayed. During a rope trick, one of the performers flipped his lasso, and it accidently lassoed Megan. He tugged on it, thinking it's stuck on something. One big yank, and Megan got wrapped up as she landed on the ground.
"Sorry about that, ma'am." The performer said, realizing he made a mistake. "Didn't mean to make you part of our act."
Megan gave out a slight chuckle. "Not a problem, partner."
Later, at a local bar, there's a lot of activity going on. Piano music being played, many ponies relax at tables and at the bar. At one of the tables, Megan was talkng to Chief Thunderhooves, leader of the buffalo tribe.
"So, your tribe know about me too. Huh, chief?" Megan said.
"Even buffalos know of human friend from days of Ponyland." Thunderhooves replied. "Very proud to meet you."
"Thank you, chief." Megan took a sip of the bar's apple cider. She showed a small reaction. "Wow! That's strong stuff."
"Rainbow friend like it."
At the bar, Rainbow Dash guzzled down her cider. She let out a loud belch, which made her fellow Wonderbolts take notice.
"Easy, Rainbow." Soarin' Skies suggested. "You don't want to get sick."
"He's right." Fleetfoot added. "Spitfire gets very concerned about you."
Rainbow turned and saw Spitfire looking at her. The leader of the Wonderbolts spoke. "They're right. Too much of that cider is not good for you."
Hearing that, Dash put her mug down and realized that Spitfire is right. "Yes, ma'am. I'm sorry."
"Don't panic, Rainbow Dash. Just don't go overboard."
"That's what Applejack told me."
Applejack and Braeburn watched from another table, making sure that Dash is okay. Later that night, at a hotel, Megan prepared for bed. Wearing a yellow T shirt and green sleep shorts, she laid down on the bed.
Braeburn told me that Applejack, the Wonderbolts, Starlight, and the Young Six are safe back in Ponyville. Megan thought. I can't wait for what Twilight and company planned for me tomorrow.
Draping the blanket over her, she slowly drifted off to sleep. This ends day six.
After a pleasant night's sleep in Appleloosa, Megan got dressed and got ready to leave town, only to be met by Braeburn.
"Heading out?" Braeburn asked.
"I am." Megan replied. "Before I made my way to the hotel, Applejack said that I should meet Twilight back in Ponyville. I don't know what she has in store for me today. But, I'll be ready."
Braeburn noticed something about the visitor. "I see you have on your pink and blue outfit from the past."
"I'm glad you noticed. I can't wait to see where I'm going today."
An hour later, the Friendshp Express arrived at Ponyville. As the passengers disembarked, Megan stepped out, and was met by the Mane Six.
"Hi, Megan!" Pinkie greeted. "Welcome back!"
"Thanks, Pinkie." Megan replied as she hugs the party pony. "Feels good to come back to Ponyville."
"We're all sure you're wondering where you're spending the day today." Rarity said happily.
"I sure am. What's today's destination?"
Twilight stepped up and gave Megan the answer. "Canterlot."
Megan's eyes widened. "Wow! Great choice, Twi. Maybe I can spend time with the princesses."
"That's a possibility." Megan strapped her backpack on Twilight's back. "Once I return, I'll take you to Canterlot. See you in a little bit."
Twilight heads into the sky towards the Rainbow Bridge. Megan is very excited as Pinkie gives her a treat.
"Muffin?" Pinkie blurted.
"Oh. Thank you." Megan said in return. She took one bite of the muffin, and is filled with joy. "Mmmm. Chocolate chip. One of my favorites."
One hour later, Megan was brought to Canterlot by Twilight Sparkle. Megan soon disembarked, and prepared for her day in this majestic city.
“Thanks, Twilight.” Megan praised as she gives Twilight a hug.
“You’re welcome.” Twilight replied as she gets ready to leave. “Have a good day.”
Megan smiles as she watches Twilight fly off. I sure hope so.
Admiring the scenery, Megan stops in front of a building.
The School for Gifted Unicorns. Megan thought. This is where Twilight began her studies. And, where she hatched a dragon. Thus, meeting her little friend, Spike.
Continuing her travels, Megan was waved over by Sassy Saddles, manager of Rarity’s Canterlot store, the Canterlot Carousel.
“Hi, Megan.” Sassy called out.
The young visitor made her way to see Sassy. “Hi, Sassy. Good to see you.”
Megan was then invited to come inside. As many ponies look around at the wonderful clothes, Sassy and Megan talked in Sassy’s office.
“What brings you here to Canterlot, my friend?” Sassy asked.
“This is day seven of my vacation here in Equestria.” Megan answered.
“Really? Wow! You spent a whole week in Equestria?”
“That’s right. Each day has been a fun experience for me.”
“Glad to hear that.”
Megan smiled knowing that Sassy is glad that she’s a friend to all ponies. As Megan steps out, she was met by Princess Celestia. She was pleasantly surprised.
“Princess Celestia.” Megan elegantly said as she bowed politely. "What brings you here?”
“I was told by Twilight Sparkle that you would visit Canterlot today.” Celestia answered. “I figured you would like to spend time with me and my sister in our castle.”
“The castle?” Megan’s eyes widened. “I would love to spend time with you.”
Celestia lead Megan into Canterlot Castle. The Royal guards stood at attention when the two figures entered. Megan got a little worried.
“I’m surprised your royal guards didn’t question my appearance.” Megan realized.
“As long as you’re with me,” Celestia explained, “nothing bad will happen to you. Besides, my guards heard your legendary tales.”
Megan started to relax. “That’s a relief.”
Soon, they enter the throne room. Megan was very impressed.
"Wow!" Megan said happily. "This is a great place for you and your sister to be."
"It is." Celestia said in return. "Would you like to sit with me?"
"Really? If you say so."
Celestia sits on her throne while Megan sits down on the throne Luna usually sits on.
"This feels amazing." Megan realized. "I feel like a princess myself."
Soon, Princess Luna enters the throne room, and sees her sister with the visitor.
"Hello, Tia." Luna greeted. "I see you're entertaining Megan today."
"Yes, I am." Celestia said. "Our friend is spending her vacation time in Equestria."
"Yes. Twilight told me about that. Is our guest having a good time?"
"I sure am." Megan answered. "I spent six days here so far. And, this is day seven."
Luna walked up to the sitting area. "That's good to hear. By the way, Megan. If you'd be so kind, please get out of my chair."
Not wanting to argue with the princess of the night, Megan stood up and walked down the stairs. Luna then sat down on her throne.
"We're having a special gathering here at the castle." Celestia informed. "We are celebrating the anniversary of the School of Friendship opening."
"Sounds like fun." Megan figured. "I hope Twilight's students, the Young Six, are going to be there."
"They are." Luna added. "After all, they're responsible for saving all of the magic of Equestria. And, we would like you to attend the festivities as well."
"It will be an honor to attend this event."
Celestia and Luna are pleased to hear that. Later that day, Twilight and her friends arrived at the castle for the celebration. They saw many ponies and other creatures celebrating the School of Friendship.
“This is quite the turnout.” Rarity said. “Even the tribe leaders are here.”
Rarity is right. Leaders like Griffon elder Gruff, Prince Ruthford, Ember, Queen Nova, and Thorax all arrived. After all, their representatives attend the school. At another area, Megan has a talk with the elegance Hoity Toity.
“Fine celebration.” Megan said elegantly. “Isn’t it?”
“It is indeed.” Hoity Toity replied. “Miss Sparkle must’ve known what she was doing when she opened that school.”
“I have to agree.” Another voice added.
That voice belonged to Chancellor Neighsay. Wearing his usual red outfit, he approached Hoity Toity and Megan. “We meet at last, Megan Williams. Princess Twilight told me all about you.”
Megan turned, and saw the elegant stallion. “Chancellor Neighsay. This is a surprise.”
“I’m sure it is. Ever since some of these students saved the magic of Equestria from being drained by miss Cozy Glow, I realized that the school is a good idea.”
Hoity Toity and Megan were happy to hear that. Later that night, Megan slipped into her short sleeve blue nightgown, and prepared for a good night’s sleep.
How fast did this week go? Megan wondered. It felt like yesterday that I came to Equestria to spend my vacation here. Now, here it is, one week later, and I visited many places. This will be one vacation I’ll never forget.
Climbing into the bed, Megan draped the blanket over her, and slowly fell asleep. This is the end of day seven.

For this last day of vacation, Megan recalls her best moments before heading for home.
Day 8-Vacation Memories
Megan slowly stirred and saw the first rays of the dawn. Getting out of bed, she went to the window and watched Celestia use her powers to riase the sun. This put a smile on her face.
That's a beautiful sight. Megan thought proudly. I'll bet Princess Luna raises the moon just as gracefully.
Later after getting dressed and packing her backpack, Megan has a meeting with Celestia in a dining area.
"Have you been enjoying your week in Equestria, Megan?" Celestia asked.
"I sure have." Megan answered. "It's hard to believe that a whole week has passed. Now, later today, I'm on my way home."
"Before you leave, can you tell me about your experiences during your week's stay."
The kind human girl recalled how she spent her week's vacation. "My vacation began in Ponyville. I was a great help as Twilight and her friends and the Young Six cleaned up the School of Friendship. I helped Starlight Glimmer straighten out her office."
"It's good to know that you're helpful." Celestia praised. "Please continue."
"Okay, Princess Celestia." Megan replied. "On day 2, I joined Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle on a camping trip in the Everfree Forest. Zecora even treated all of us to some homemade vegetable stew."
"Zecora is a good friend to us all."
"She sure was. On day 3, I traveled with Rarity and Photo Finish to a little sight seeing tour in Manehattan. That city is HUGE! And, the park there was relaxing."
"Perhaps, Luna and I would like to travel there." Celesta figured. "What happened next?"
Megan thought about it for a bit. The, she remembered. "On day 4, I helped Applejack and her family at Sweet Apple Acres. I admit, the cider that family makes is delicious."
"I hope you didn't go overboard like Twilight's friend, Rainbow Dash, does."
"I sure didn't. I took it slow and easy. Anyway, day 5 was at the Crystal Empire. Starlight Glimmer spent time with Sunburst. And, I get to see Baby Flurry Heart. Pinkie Pie was right. She was so cute!"
Celestia nodded with Megan. "Flurry Heart was a sight to behold. The first time an alicorn babay was born is very rare."
"I guess so." Megan said as she continued her trip down memory lane. "Day 6 was at Appleloosa. Applejack, Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts tagged along. Everybody got to relax there. Applejack's cousin Braeburn was a great guide. "
"And finally," Celestia said, "where did you go?"
Megan answered the question. "Day 7 took place here, in Canterlot. Even Hoity Toity appreciated my company. Especially during the celebration of the School of Friendship."
"I'm so glad you enjoyed your time here in Equestria." Celestia praised as she walks up to Megan. "You're always welcome to visit us."
Feeling so happy, Megan shed tears of joy as she and Celestia embraced in a sweet hug. "Thank you, Princess Celestia." She said softly.
Later that day, Megan was back at her own home, thanks to Twilight Sparkle. As she was laying down on her own bed, her parents came in with her aunt Rachel. This woman has straight brown hair and glasses. She wore a bright pink polo shirt, blue skirt, and black platform shoes. Megan wondered what brings her aunt to her room.
"I'm very sorry for not letting you join Danny and Molly on vacation, Megan." Rachel said, hoping for forgiveness. "I hope you didn't have a bad time this week because of me."
"We may never know." Mrs. Williams said as Megan thought about Twilight and the rest of the Mane SIx. "But, I have a feeling that her week was more enjoyable than we would think."
