Shifter and Morphic could barely believe what they were seeing.

They knew they weren't exactly experts on Mimics, but they figured they had some grasp on the creatures' abilities. But now they found that they barely knew anything, as the Mimics could apparently now use the skeletons of creatures to copy their abilities. And they had certainly picked an interesting skeleton to use.

The T-Rex Mimic opened up its T-Rex head hand and let out a roar, which caused the pair to flinch as High-Vol-Tich and Greye-No-Bill chuckled. "This is gonna be fun." High turned to their new servant. "Deal with the blue one. I want to see how strong Shifter is with this Hyper Core Form of his."

The monster nodded and as the Riders were still recovering from the roar, it rushed forward as the rings that made its tail arm spun in opposite directions to each other.

This turned it into a drill, which it thrust towards Morphic. "WOW!" He was forced to leap back, as the beast chased after him. The Rider quickly fired his Blitz Blaster, but the lasers just bounced off the creature's hide. "No way."

Shifter turned to see his partner in trouble and rushed to help him. But before he could, a purple blur shot past him with a trail of pink lightning behind it. "I don't think so." High stood between him and Morphic, her body sparking with energy as she rushed forward.

Shifter summoned his own energy and the two started fighting at high speed, neither one able to land a hit on the other.

High then leapt up and over Shifter, who spun around to try and hit her. But before he could, Greye suddenly shot towards him and swung something at him. "WOW!" Shifter leaned back and barely managed to avoid it, seeing the weapon was some kind of bladed fan that Greye was carrying two of.

Shifter leapt back and raised his Shift Striker, firing it as it was still in Strike Form.

Greye swung his fans around and deflected the blasts, as High summoned a bunch of electrical energy and unleashed it towards Shifter. The Hyper Rider switched his weapon to rapier form and swung it around, deflecting the lightning.

At the same time, Morphic was still fighting the T-Rex. The ancient Mimic's tail continued to spin, as it tried to hit him with the end of it. Morphic tried to block it with his arm guard, but the tail dug into his armor and did some serious damage. "Augh!" He pulled back, as his arm guard was busted up. "Damn it!"

The T-Rex roared again and tried to punch him with its dino head, Morphic trying to catch it but finding the Mimic was stronger. All he could do was take the hit, which threw him backwards until he crashed into a dinosaur statue. Breaking the pachycephalosaurus statue, he fell to the ground and moaned in pain.

Shifter saw this and gasped. "MORPHIC!"

"Don't get distracted!" High cried, as she shot forward and high speed before slamming her foot into his chest. Shifter cried out, as he was thrown backwards and crashed into the wall. He fell to the ground, as High and Greye laughed.

"He's not so tough," Greye stated before taking out a second bladed fan. As Shifter began to pick himself up, the peacock did some kind of elaborative dance. And as Shifter stood, the Mimic spun around and sliced his fans through the air.

This unleashed a pair of air blades, which shot towards Shifter as the Rider saw them coming. And seeing no other way to avoid it, Shifter created his energy wings and leapt into the air. The wind blades flew under him as he took off, then dived down towards the Generals.

"BLADE!"

His Shift Striker changed into its sword form as as he got closer, he swung the weapon at Greye. The avian Mimic managed to block using his fans, the impact causing him to stagger back and almost fall to it knees.

Shifter pushed harder, using all his strength in an attempt to force Greye down. But then, High leapt at him and her claws sparked with energy. This forced Shifter to pull back and fly back into the air, as High's body charged with energy.

"Since when do tigers have lightning powers?" He asked, as he prepared his sword to intercept the next attack.

High thrust her claws forward and unleashed a burst of purple lightning, which Shifter blocked using his sword. But the impact made him stagger backwards as he let out a groan.

As this was going on, Morphic pushed himself up to his feet. As he did, the T-Rex approached with its drill spinning. The Rider saw it coming and quickly picked up his blaster, firing it at the monster with little success as the creature's hide was just too tough.

Morphic growled, as the T-Rex thrust its tail at him. Morphic was barely able to avoid the weapon, jumping out of the way whilst throwing a raptor statue at the beast. But the T-Rex backhanded the statue away, as Morphic tried to think of a way to stop this thing.

He stared at the spots that had been hit by his laser and as he did, Morphic noticed they had slight scorch marks. His attacks weren't useless against this creature. They just did very little. But Morphic could work with that.

"If something doesn't have a weak point, make one." He fired at the T-Rex, aiming for the same general area on its body. He fired as much as he could, hitting the Mimic's side several times before dodging out of the way.

Shifter swung his sword around, High continuously avoiding it whilst Greye kept firing the wind blades at him. Shifter blocked each and every one of the attacks, but these two were clearly skilled with fighting together. Every time he blocked one of their attacks, the other leapt in to deal their own strike.

Shifter leapt into the air and summoned his energy wings, using them to fly up before sending the energy into his sword. He swung it around and unleashed a blade of lightning, which threatened to hit both Mimics.

But at the last moment, High shielded Greye and used her own electrical energy to protect herself. She let the energy blade hit her, but managed to cancel out most of the damage. As she did, Greye swung his fans around and fired the wind blades.

Shifter did his best to avoid them, moving as fast as he dared without using too much power.

But one of the blades managed to hit one of the wings on is back, causing him to spin out of control. "WOW!" He slammed into the ground and his Shift Striker fell from his hand, making him moan as High ran forward.

She tried to slash at him, but Shifter was able to roll out of the way at the last moment. And as he jumped back to his feet, she ran forward and tried to claw him. Shifter managed to deflect these attacks, hitting her in the wrists to keep her from scratching him before doing a back flip to slam his foot into her chest.

She staggered back, as Shifter flew backwards and managed to land where his blade had fallen. He quickly picked it up and prepared for another fight, whilst High and Greye glared at him.

Morphic continued to dance around the T-Rex Mimic, constantly firing at the same spot whenever it tried to hit him.

The spot on its side was growing darker and darker, the blasts weakening that one spot and causing it to become vulnerable. And after hitting it twelve times, Morphic hoped that would be enough.

The Mimic charged and tried to slam its dino head into his chest. But Morphic managed to duck under the punch and threw his own right into the area he had blasted. The impact caused that part of its hide to crack and break apart, as the T-Rex staggered back.

Once it was a good distance away, Morphic slammed the side of his belt.

"CLIMACTIC BLITZ!"

His armor glowed before the light began to fly through his body and into his blaster, which started lighting up as Morphic pointed it upwards.

The T-Rex saw this and charged, but Morphic fired the weapon and it flew straight up. And as the Mimic got close, he suddenly leapt up after it. Somehow, he was able to fly past the energy sphere that had formed and spun around. He slammed his foot into the orb and kicked it, the blast flying back towards the ground even faster than before.

The T-Rex was blinded by a sudden flash of light, preventing it from being able to counter as the blast slammed into him and struck the area that Morphic had been targeting before.

The explosion that followed rocked the museum, sending many of the exhibits flying off as the beast roared. Morphic landed and raised his blaster, ready in case something happened. And sure enough, the smoke began to fade away and reveal the T-Rex Mimic.

To Morphic's horror, the beast walked out of the explosion. It looked a little crispy, but was clearly still able to fight. "No way." He turned towards the area that he had been targeting and sure enough, a large slab of the creature was missing. But it didn't seem to mind.

"MORPHIC, LOOK OUT!" Shifter's voice made him look around, as something pink and purple shot towards him.

It slammed into him and he was sent flying backwards, right towards the T-Rex. The Mimic pulled its head fist back before thrusting it forward, slamming it into the Rider and sending him sailing across the room towards the wall.

Shifter saw this and realised Shining was in trouble. "NO!" He spread his energy wings and shot forward, slamming into Greye and sending him flying backwards before attacking High.

He swung his sword at her and High saw it coming, as the T-Rex suddenly leapt in front of her. He crossed his arms and blocked the attack, with Flash's Hyper Core giving him enough of a boost to make it stagger back. But as he tried to give it every ounce of the power that he had, he suddenly felt his entire body seize up.

"No!" He cried, unable to move even an inch. "Not...now." The T-Rex was still defending itself against his attacks, but High and Greye had noticed his sudden freeze up.

"Now!" Greye cried, as High's body sparked with energy. She then shot forward and kicked Shifter away from the T-Rex, knocking him back before the tiger zoomed around him and dealt a kick that knocked him straight upwards.

Greye then unleashed the wind blades, which shot up and slammed into Shifter several times. Shifter cried out, as High leapt up right as he began to fall to the ground. And when she was the same height as him, she spun around and dealt a lightning charged kick right to his head.

"AUGH!" He cried, as he flew down and crashed into the ground. The impact was so hard, the entire room shook and all the remaining exhibits fell off the walls and tipped over.

Morphic was finally beginning to recover and had heard Shifter's cry of pain, the Rider looking up and seeing his partner on the ground. And as the Hyper Rider tried to push himself up, his armor and suit glowed before exploding off of him.

Flash groaned, as he tried to push himself up. But it was clear he had taken too much damage and fell to the ground unconscious. "Flash!" Morphic pushed himself up, but the T-Rex got to him before he could rush to the teen's side.

The dino head grabbed the horn on his head and threw him away, smashing him into another wall before he could do anything. As this was happening, Greye and High grabbed Flash and began to pull him through a portal that had just opened up.

"NO!" Morphic pushed himself up, as the T-Rex blocked his path. "Out of my way!" He raised his Blitz Blaster and fired, but the Mimic used his tail drill to defend and the lasers deflected off it to slam around the rest of the building. It then jumped forward and slammed its foot into Morphic's chest, knocking him back again.

The Mimic looked like it wanted to keep fighting, but then stopped as it clutched its side. The damage Morphic had done was finally starting to catch up with it. The monster growled at the Rider before turning to leave, as Morphic pushed himself up.

"No," Morphic watched it step through the portal before it disappeared. As it did, Morphic let out a frustrated cry before hitting the ground. "Flash." He couldn't believe he had let his partner get taken captive.

He would have kept moping, but he suddenly noticed something and looked around.

Whatever it was, it was laid on the ground and Morphic moved over to pick it up. As he did, he sensed something and realised what it was. Part of the Mimic that he had managed to blast off. All that effort and this was the only damage done to it.

Sirens filled the air, making Morphic realise he had to get out of there. But as he made for the back exit, he began to fear for Flash and what they were doing to him. He knew Flash was strong. Hopefully, he could hold on until Morphic could save him...wherever he was.

Flash's body was screaming at him, as he felt himself beginning to come around.

As he did, he heard several voices speaking above him. "He's waking up," a woman stated. "What do you think happened to him? The rest of us weren't like that."

"Maybe he tried to put up a fight," a male voice replied. "Maybe he woke up before they could reach him and he tried to escape." Flash began to open his eyes and as he did, he saw a bunch of people hovering over him. And one of them, Flash recognised.

"Timber?" He groaned, seeing the older teen standing over him.

Timber frowned, as he knelt beside Flash. "You okay? You look like you got into a fight with the wrong kind of guy." Flash began to sit up, as he looked around and found they were all in some kind of dark stone cell with a metal door keeping them trapped inside of it. There were no beds, no benches, nothing that gave them the slightest bit of comfort.

"Where are we?" He asked, "how did I get here?"

"Beats us," a man told him. "I was the first. The last thing I remember is leaving the office to head home one night. Then, I'm suddenly waking up surrounded by monsters. They grabbed me and threw me in here." He gestured to a woman next to him. "A few days later, the same thing happened to her."

Flash looked around and slowly, his eyes fell on Timber. As they did, Flash realised who these people were. "Mimic hosts." They all looked confused by this, as Flash stood up. "You were all Mimic hosts."

"Mimics?" Timber asked, "you know what those things are?"

"None of you remember?" Flash asked, as they shook their heads. "What's the last thing you all remember before waking up here?"

"Like I said," the man replied. "I was leaving work and heading home."

"I was on my way to my boyfriend's place," the woman stated. Everyone had the same story, heading somewhere alone before their minds went blank.

Timber turned to Flash. "I was going to my girlfriend's house and...that's it." He held his head. "I've got...flashes of other memories. I remember...fighting." It was then that he looked at Flash, a shocked expression on his face. "And you. I remember seeing you." He frowned, "who are you?"

"Flash Sentry," he replied. "Actually, we've met before. I'm in the same class as Twilight." Timber looked shocked by this. "Anyway. Listen. I know this is gonna be hard to accept, but you were captured by those creatures. They're from another universe and they can capture other living things in order to copy their appearances. You were all captured and they took your place."

"Body snatchers?" One of the men asked, with Flash shrugging.

"Kinda. But when the monster copying you was destroyed, you were all freed." They all frowned, clearly not feeling free. "But why are you still here? Why would the Mimics keep you guys around? You're useless to them now."

"Wish we knew," Timber shrugged. "How do you know all this, anyway?"

"It's a long story. But it can wait until after I get us out of here."

"Good luck with that," the first man stated. "We've been trying to find a way out of here, but we can't. The door's solid steel and there's no other way out."

Flash smirked, as he turned towards the door. "Just watch me." His Driver appeared, shocking them, as Flash reached into his pocket. But then he found nothing in there. "Um..." He looked in his other pockets and also found nothing. He patted himself all over, but there was nothing. "No! My Mimicores."

"Your what?" A girl asked, but Flash just ignored here. His Driver vanished as he moved up to the door. He noticed a small slot at the bottom, looking almost like a cat-flap, which clearly locked on the outside.

"There's gotta be a way out of here." But as he said that, he heard movement coming from outside.

"Step away from the door!" Flash recognised the voice as Maya's, Flash getting ready for a fight as he stepped back. But as the door opened outwards, Maya acted instantly and fired a web-line. The next thing Flash knew, he was cocooned in a sack of webbing that only left his head uncovered. "Nice try."

Several Mimicreeps arrived and grabbed Flash, pulling him out of the cell whilst the others looked worried.

"We have some tests that need to be done," Maya stated. "Please don't struggle. It'll just make the process harder." Flash tried to break out of the webbing, but it was too strong. All he could do was struggle pointlessly. "The rest of you, don't try anything. It won't end well for you." With that, Maya slammed the door shut and the captured humans just stood there feeling sorry for Flash.

Back on Earth, Shining was sitting on a bench staring at part of the T-Rex Mimic.

The creature's tiny part hadn't reverted back to slime like they normally did when detached. Whatever they did to make it able to copy a skeleton, had clearly had some other side effects. But that didn't matter right now.

"Flash." Shining had no idea what was being done to his partner right now. He prayed that whatever the Driver did to them, would protect him from whatever the Mimics had planned for him. If they didn't, there was no telling what might happen to Flash.

He sighed, as he looked away from the Mimic piece. And as he did, he spotted someone across the street.

The cloaked figure stood there, hiding from others' sight by being inside an alleyway. The figure turned to walk away, Shining quickly getting up and running across the street to get to him. He ran into the alleyway and as he caught up to the figure, a bright light appeared in front of him.

Shining was blinded for a moment and when the light faded, he wasn't surprised to find himself back in the dark void that he had been to a handful of times.

"Flash has been captured," the figure turned to Shining. "I don't know where he is, but I know he is in serious danger. If the Mimics discover the secrets of the Mimic Driver and Mimicores, there's no telling the kind of damage they could do."

"Well Flash wouldn't have been captured, if you had warned us about the Hyper Core making him freeze up."

"I did not even expect Flash to acquire his Hyper Strike Form. That was just a happy accident. One with serious drawbacks. If Flash uses too much power too quickly, the backlash forces his body to freeze up. I didn't design it to do that. It wasn't even supposed to become a new form for him."

"I guess," Shining nodded. "But what are we supposed to do now? Those new Mimics are strong and I don't stand a chance against the T-Rex on my own."

"I know," the figure nodded before noticing the piece of Mimic in his hand. "What's that?" Shining looked down at the piece and threw it towards him.

"I managed to blast off a small part of the Mimic in the last fight. For some reason, it didn't melt when it left him."

"Fascinating," he examined it and nodded. "I've never had such a good Mimic specimen to study. This might help us more than you think." Shining raised an eyebrow at this. "I need to examine this more closely. You should head back. The Mimics won't give you much time to recover. With Flash their captive, they'll think you're an easy target to deal with. You'll need to be on guard."

"Right," Shining nodded. "But what are you going to do?"

"Mimics have the ability to enter the spot they are based at will. That ability is a part of their very cellular structure. With this, I might be able to give you that same ability. That will allow you to enter the location and save not only Flash, but everyone that was captured by the Mimics."

Shining smirked, "I'm liking the sound of that."

"But it will take time. If the Mimics attack again, you'll have to do what you can with what you have."

"Alright," Shining nodded, "I'll try. But that T-Rex Mimic was really strong. And if one of those new Generals shows up again, I don't know how I'm gonna be able to beat them." The figure said nothing, clearly thinking that was a problem. Shining sighed and turned away, wanting to let him get back to work. The figure waved his hand and a light appeared in front of him, Shining stepping through it and returning to the alleyway he had just been on.

Looking around, Shining sighed and walked off. All he could do was be ready for when the Mimics attacked again, whenever and wherever that might be.

Back at the Mimic lair, Flash was strapped to a table.

Maya, Frill, Greye and High all stood around the table, as a device came down from above and pointed at him. "This might sting a bit," Frill laughed as he pressed the machine's remote. This caused the device to unleash a beam, which flew down and slammed into him.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Flash screamed, as the energy from the beam flew into him. It felt like a million needles were sticking into him. He tried to endure it, but the energy was too powerful. And after a few moments of this, something appeared around his waist. His Driver.

"That's enough," Greye stated. Frill stopped the beam and Flash gasped, moaning as his body continued to twitch. "So, this is the device that allows you to transform." He placed a hand on it, as High moved over to another table.

On it, Flash's Mimicores sat with another device scanning them. "These are what decide what powers he has."

"Indeed," Frill nodded. He took out a scanning device and used it on the Driver, slowly uploading its specs to their computer. "But this device must be what's causing him to forget he's a Mimic."

"I'm not a Mimic!" Flash growled, as he looked up at them. "I don't care what you say. There's no way I'm a Mimic!" Flash remembered what Shining had told him before. About how what he feels for his friends and family couldn't be something a Mimic could fake. "I'm human. I'm not one of you."

"Oh, but you are a Mimic." Greye leaned over him. "How else can you do the kinds of things you've done? Defeating other Mimics. Handling the power of a Hyper Core. Heck, that blast we just hit you with would have killed a normal human. How to explain all that?"

"You really don't know us humans," Flash stated. "It doesn't matter what you say. I'm not a Mimic. I'm human and there's nothing you can say to make me believe that."

"Maybe we don't have to say anything." He turned to Frill. "Re-aim the weapon at the Driver and hit it at full power. Once it's destroyed, the brainwashing may be undone." They nodded and started adjusting the blaster until it was pointed at the belt around Flash's waist.

The Mimics stepped back, as Frill increased the power of the device before firing.

The energy shot down and struck the driver, Flash getting a jolt as well. He cried out in pain, as the energy flowed around him. The Driver was absorbing most of the power, but Flash still felt a lot of the pain. He struggled against it, but there was nothing he could do. He couldn't move out of the beam's way and he refused to give them the satisfaction of hearing him beg them to stop.

After a few minutes of this, Greye had Frill stop and the beam shut off. Flash panted again, as the Mimic Generals inspected the Driver. "It's not even scorched," High growled. "What the heck is this thing made of?"

"We have other means to remove it," Greye stated. "That thing's coming off."

And sure enough, they used a variety of different tools and other devices at their disposal. One by one, they tried everything to try and remove the Driver. They tried cutting into it with saws, drills, sanders and everything else. But no matter what they used or where they tried to remove it, the Driver refused to come off.

"Okay," Greye held up a bent buzzsaw, "it's not coming off." He threw it onto the pile of broken tools, as he inspected the device. "Not even a scratch."

"So what do we do with him?" Maya asked.

"He's powerless without being able to transform," High stated. "I say we destroy him before he can escape." The other Mimics seemed to be considering it. But before they could, an alarm sounded and they rushed over to a device.

Flash tried to look over at the device, as a hologram appeared showing a figure whose features were hidden in the shadows. "Master," the four knelt and bowed.

"Master?" Flash asked. So the Mimics had a master. Likely a Mimic far stronger than them.

"I understand congratulations are in order," the master replied. "You were able to defeat and capture one of the Kamen Riders."

"Yes," Greye nodded. "We have been trying to uncover his secrets. We've managed to get a scan of his belt and the devices he uses to transform. But every attempt to remove it from his has been...less than successful."

"I see," the master nodded. "Bring him forward. I wish to speak with him myself." The Mimics nodded and Maya rushed over to push the table with Flash on it forward, Flash finding the table to rotate with him now in a standing angle. He stared at the hologram, still unable to see the one the Mimics were bowing to. "So you are the mighty Kamen Rider Shifter."

"And you're the one that's leading these things to attack my world." He glared at the figure, "why? What did we ever do to you?"

"This isn't personal. It's simply how things must be. Mimics are the perfect beings. We live to destroy and we won't be satisfied until all life in every world is destroyed. Until only the Mimics remain as the dominant species."

"But how long could that take?" Flash asked. "How many universes are out there?"

"Oh, countless. But we won't rest until we are the only lifeforms left. And we will not allow any delay. Which is why you Riders have been such an annoyance to us."

"Oh, I'm so sorry we've troubled you." The sarcasm flowed from his lips, making the Generals glare at him.

"You don't have to do this, you know. Putting your life on the line to oppose us will not help you. All you'll be doing is risking your own life for lesser beings. You should be helping us, not hindering us."

"Why would I ever help you?" Flash asked. "You're trying to destroy everything and everyone I've ever loved. If you think I'd help you do that, you're crazier than you let up."

"You have no other choice. Either help us, or suffer our wrath. After all, what hope do you have at this point? You are our captive and a single Rider won't be enough to defeat us. Your world's destruction is imminent."

Flash chuckled. "You really think you've already won. Hate to break it to you, but there's no way you're gonna destroy my world. I don't know how things work in the other universes you've conquered, but my universe doesn't go for the whole getting destroyed thing."

"You think you can beat us, even though you are our hostage?"

"Even if my world can't fight you, we can resist you. No matter what, we'll do what we can to stop and slow you down. And eventually, we'll find a way to beat you once and for all."

"I very much doubt that." He turned towards the other Mimics, "take him away. We'll deal with him once Morphic has been taken care of."

"Yes, master." As Maya and High moved over to Flash, Greye spoke. "My new Mimic will destroy Morphic. Against its power, the fool won't stand a chance." Flash frowned, fearing what might happen to Shining as he was taken away.

He needed to find a way to escape. But how?

Shining was still on the streets of Canterlot, having retrieved his car from where he and Flash had stored them.

He was driving around, keeping an eye out for any sign of a Mimic or Mimicreeps. All the while, he kept thinking about Flash and what the Mimics might be doing to him. He prayed that the cloaked figure would find a way to help Shining save him, but putting his trust in someone he didn't really know wasn't something Shining felt eager to do.

Suddenly, his Mimic Sense was triggered and Shining could feel they were close.

He put the car into high gear and raced in the direction he was being pulled in, eventually finding an area where people were driving and running in the opposite direction.

And it was soon clear why, as he turned into a street with several Mimicreeps attacking along with the T-Rex Mimic. The prehistoric monster let out another roar, as it used its tail to send a car flying. Shining just barely managed to drive out of its way and skid to a stop, quickly getting out of his car as the monster and Mimicreeps spotted him.

Shining looked around and saw he was alone, so took out a Mimicore as his Driver appeared. "RUSH!"

He quickly opened his Driver and placed the Mimicore inside, as the Mimicreeps charged. "HENSHIN!" He slammed the draw closed and as the Mimicreeps got closer, he crossed his arms as the pipes on his belt unleashed the slime.

"MIMIC! COYOTE!" The Mimicreeps tried to slash at him, but the slime hardened on his body and formed the cocoon. They tried to break through, but their claws did nothing. And when the cocoon shattered, they were knocked back by the pieces before it flew back to Shining and hit his body to form the armor. "Howling velocity, increasing the tearing power of its fangs."

Morphic summoned his claws and shot forward, slashing at the other Mimicreeps as he moved at incredible speed. He quickly began to slice and dice the monsters, cutting into them and turning them back to slime. They tried to fight back, but Morphic was too fast and dodged all their attacks.

At one point, he practically turned into the Tasmanian Devil by spinning around to form a slicing tornado.

The last Mimicreep soon fell and exploded, leaving only the T-Rex. As such, Morphic stopped spinning and glared at him. "You might have beaten me once, but that won't happen again!" The beast roared before it charged, Morphic racing towards it as fast as he could move.

It's tail spun as it thrust it towards him, but Morphic used his claws to block it. The impact caused grinding sparks, which filled the air and made the Rider flinch for a moment.

He eventually pushed the tail away and tried to claw at the monster, but the T-Rex was able to dodge the slash before thrusting its T-Rex head at him. It almost bit into him, but Morphic managed to leap back at the last moment.

"It's speedster time!" He shot forward at high speed, shooting past the dinosaur and slashing at him. He then skidded to a stop and ran back at it, barely losing any speed. The T-Rex tried to bite him, but he curved away at the last moment and slashed at it again.

Morphic kept moving around the Mimic, moving so fast that from above a red flower pattern could be seen.

The Mimic roared in pain, as Morphic kept slashing at it over and over again. But eventually, it got so annoyed that it leapt straight up. Morphic missed it and tried to skid to a stop, but the T-Rex acted first and fell back towards the ground. As it did, its tail drill slammed into the ground and unleashed a shockwave that made the ground all around it to break apart.

As the ground split beneath Morphic's, he lost his balance and found himself tripping over and being sent rolling along the ground as he cried out.

After a few moments, he rolled to a stop and let out a moan.

The T-Rex pulled its tail out of the ground and turned towards Morphic, the Rider pushing itself up and glaring at him. "Okay. Speed's probably not gonna win this fight." He took out another Mimicore and activated it.

"TOUGH!"

The T-Rex prepared to attack, as Morphic opened the draw of his Driver and replaced the Mimicores. "Mega Morph!" He slammed the draw closed, as the T-Rex rushed forward.

"MIMIC! CROCODILE!" The armor melted and reformed, Morphic raising his arm as the T-Rex thrust its tail drill at him. The armor solidified into the crocodile armor, seconds before the drill slammed into it. The impact pushed Morphic back, but his armor was able to take the impact as he slid backwards. "Vice-like fangs and an impenetrable hide, crushing anything in its way."

The T-Rex roared, as Tough Morphic finished his transformation and charged forward. As he did, his tail saw buzzed and he swung it towards the T-Rex.

The Mimic thrust its own tail arm at him and the two ground into one another, neither appearing to have the upper hand over the other. The Mimic then threw a punch with its T-Rex head, but Morphic threw his own head punch with the crocodile head.

The two heads slammed into each other and the impact knocked the pair backwards, Morphic barely managing to keep his balance as the T-Rex used its tail to dig into the ground and keep itself from falling over.

The pair glared at each other, as Morphic ran forward once again to attack.

The T-Rex stood tall and raised his tail drill, spinning it as Morphic got in close. The Rider spun his saw blade and the two once again met, the weapons grinding against one another and sending sparks everywhere. They cried out, doing their best to try and overpower the other. But neither one of them appeared to have an advantage over the other.

Eventually, the T-Rex knocked Morphic back and he cried out as he staggered around. The Mimic then pointed its drill at the Rider and charged, as Morphic's croc head glowed.

He swung his arm around and unleashed an energy construct, the head flying out and biting onto the roof of a building before the chain retracted. Moments before the T-Rex could hit him, he was pulled up and into the air. He swung around and released the building, allowing him to fly through the air.

As he did, he thrust his arm forward and the construct shot out. The giant crocodile head opened its mouth, ready to bite the T-Rex. But the Mimic thrust its tail forward and ripped through the construct.

Morphic landed and could barely believe it. "No way!"

The Mimic's dino head let out a roar, as the drill spun faster and faster. As it did, energy sparked around the tail before it thrust the weapon forward. The energy surrounding the drill shot off the weapon and flew towards Morphic, the Rider barely managed to raise his saw before the energy weapon impacted.

It slammed into him with enough force, that he was sent staggering back several feet before he managed to get his footing and stop. As he did, the saw pushed back against the attack. But as it did, parts of the blade started cracking.

Eventually, the energy dissipated and Morphic was able to knock it away. It exploded in the air and Morphic panted, only to see the Mimic charge forward at high speed.

"WOW!" He swung the saw at it, but the dino head caused the blade in its teeth. The tips dug into the cracks and with enough force, the saw completely shattered. Under his helmet, Shining's eyes widened as the T-Rex leapt back before thrusting its drill tail into his stomach. "AUGH!"

The T-Rex let out a roar as the drill dug into Morphic's armor before spinning, causing the crocodile-hard material to crack before it completely shattered. As it did, it unleashed a burst of energy that shot into Morphic's body and blew him backwards.

The Rider screamed again, as he was blown backwards whilst the rest of his armor shattered to pieces.

He slammed into the damaged road and was sent rolling several feet before finally coming to a stop. As he did, what was left of his suit faded away and Shining was left on the ground. Scratches and cuts covered his body, as he glared at the T-Rex.

The Mimic slowly moved towards him, as Shining tried to pick himself up. But his body was too badly bruised. He was moments away from blacking out. Most likely, the next time he woke up he'd be where they were holding Flash.

But suddenly, a portal opened up behind Shining and the cloaked figure jumped through it. "Come on!" He grabbed Shining and pulled him through, as the T-Rex Mimic tried to run towards it. But before it could get there, the portal closed and the beast let out a frustrated roar.

No matter what, it would find its prey and make it suffer. And with its T-Rex sense of smell, it would track him down eventually.

Flash suddenly found himself in the same situation he had found himself before. Waking up in the Mimic's prison cell.

He let out a moan, as he remembered High zapping him into unconsciousness on the way back to the cell. Now, he was waking up surrounded by the prisoners again. "Are you okay?" Timber asked, as Flash was helped to sit up.

"No...I am not." His body was screaming at him.

"What did they do to you?" A woman asked. "You're worse than when you first showed up here. What did they do to you?"

"Zapped me," Flash sighed. "Trying to figure out how I do what I do. Then their boss tried to convince me to join them." He looked around and remembered what had happened. "Maybe I should have pretended to agree. I might have been able to trick them and free you guys, so we could have escaped."

"I doubt they'd have fallen for it," the first prisoner stated. "And if they did, they might have made you do something horrible to prove your loyalty." Flash frowned, imagining having to attack Twilight or the other Rainbooms.

"Yeah, you're right." Flash sighed and forced himself up to his feet, his legs a bit wobbly as he moved around. "But we can't stay here. We've gotta find a way to escape before it's too late."

"Ha!" The security guard told him. "Good luck with that. We've searched this place top to bottom. There's no way out except through that door. And there's no way to open it." Flash smirked as he stared at the door.

"Sure there is. We've just gotta get someone else to open it for us." They all looked confused, as Flash began to explain the plan.

Back with Shining, he was back in the dark place.

The figure had left him as soon as he was pulled through the portal, Shining simply laying there letting his own failure wash over him. That Mimic was just too strong. Shining didn't have a hope of defeating it. Not on his own, at least.

The figure finally returned and as Shining sat himself up, he grabbed him by the head and forced it to the side. "What are you-OW!" The figure held something to his neck and injected it into his body, Shining clutching his neck as he felt his body begin to grow warm. "What, are you gonna knock me out and take my kidneys?"

"It's a serum to help you recover quicker. You'll need to be at full strength, if you want to save Flash and stop that thing."

"What?" Shining frowned, "how am I supposed to do that?" The answer was given to him when a blank Mimicore was shoved into his hand. "What's..."

"That Mimicore has been programmed using the DNA of the Mimic you were just fighting. With it, you should be able to open a portal to their lair."

"Seriously?" Shining suddenly felt himself growing stronger, as his injuries began to fade. He picked himself up, as he looked over the Mimicore. "What do I have to do?"

"The Mimicore will allow you to open a portal, but it'll require some kind of link to that location. The Mimics all have the ability to come and go from that place as they please. So you'll need to grab hold of a Mimic and channel the core's energy into them. That'll open a portal right to their lair."

"Got it," Shining nodded. "But the only Mimic is that T-Rex. And that thing's totally unstoppable."

"That's why you'll need to level the playing field. Its strength comes from the powerful creature it's mimicking. To stand a chance, you need the power of a creature that's just as powerful."

"You mean...another dinosaur?"

"Exactly," the figure nodded. "Whilst studying the piece of the Mimic you gave me, I was able to figure out how it's mimicking an extinct creature. Once I figured that out, I was able to program this core to be able to do the same thing. All you need is a piece of dinosaur DNA."

"Then I think I know where I have to go," Shining stated. The figure nodded and as Shining felt the last of his injuries disappear, a portal opened up.

Shining stepped towards it, then stopped and turned back to him. "I know you don't want to tell us anything until the right time, whenever that is. But...can I at least know your name. I think I deserve at least that."

The figure remained silent for a moment, then sighed. "Corvyn. My name is Corvyn."

Shining smiled. "Thanks, Corvyn. For everything." The figure nodded before Shining stepped through the portal. In the blink of an eye, Shining found himself back where this all started. The Museum.

The place was still a mess from the fight and was surrounded by police tape. But at that moment, nobody was around. If Shining was fast, he could get what he was looking for and get out. "Hang on, Flash. I'm coming to get you." With that, he rushed inside ready to find what he needed. No matter what, he would save Flash and whoever else the Mimics had taken. And the Mimics would regret ever messing with them.

Author's Note

Flash has been captured and meets with the Mimic's master, along with all the victims he and Shining had freed from the previous Mimic attacks. But how will he help them escape? And can Shining defeat the T-Rex? Only time will tell.
