The scene once again opens up on the multi-coloured background, as the notebook appears to cover most of it. And once again, Twilight's voice calls out in voice over.

"It's Twilight's...ULTIMATE ALIENS JOURNAL!"

The background once again changes to a crayon doodle. This one shows a bunch of fireballs that mimic meteors, flying across the background. And as the background settles, Chibi-Twilight jumps out from behind the journal and waves towards the camera. "Hello there. I'm Twilight Sparkle." Spike then leaps out from behind the journal as well. "And this is my assistant, Spike."

"Sup!" He then runs over to the edge of the book.

"Welcome back, to my Ultimate Aliens Journal. Where I document all the new aliens Flash gets, when he uses the Ultimatrix in order to evolve them." Spike opens the book, once again showing the image of the Ultimatrix. "Here, we catalogue the powers and abilities of these new aliens and how they differ from Flash's base aliens."

Spike leaps over to Twilight's side. "So, which Ultimate Alien are we looking at today? Not knowing is really bugging me." Twilight laughs, as she uses her magic to flick the pages around to show the alien in question.

A humanoid alien in red flame patterned armor, with flame patterned wings on its back. "It's funny you should talk about getting bugged. Because today, we're looking at Flash's fiery insectoid transformation. Ultimate Firefly!"

The scene changes to show Firefly, as he hits the Ultimatrix on his chest and begins his transformation. His skin and armor change colour, his wings and legs are replaced by thrusters and his head transforms into a new beetle head with a horn. "ULTIMATE FIREFLY!" He roars, as his thrusters ignite and unleash a burst of fire. The scene then changes to show Firefly, the alien striking a pose as the camera spins around him.

"Ultimate Firefly, is the hyper evolved version of Flash's Ignisect transformation. Originating from the planet Hivexus, Ignisects combine insectoid skills with some serious firepower. Capable of creating a special form of webbing from their mouths that is completely fireproof, they're able to capture their opponents in the strong substance or use it to keep things from falling. And since it's fireproof, Firefly doesn't need to worry about burning it with his other abilities."

The scene changes to show Firefly, unleashing blasts of fire from the gauntlets on his arms. This fire ranges from powerful flamethrowers, fireball blasts and even welder-like torches that glow red hot.

"Ignisects have the ability to produce powerful fire blasts, which they can use in all manner of different ways. Many times, they use them to burn their opponents. But Firefly also uses this ability to give himself a speed boost."

The scene changes to show Firefly, as he points his arms backwards and unleashes blasts of fire that he uses to propel himself forward and even higher speeds. Moving around like Iron Man, he quickly gets the hang of this and moves his arms around to help him shift from side to side.

"On their own, an Ignisect can fly at around thirty miles an hour. But Firefly's jet propulsion, gives him almost three times that speed. However, he needs to be careful of his wings. Letting them hit the wind at that speed could result in them tearing, and that'd be a real big problem."

Chibi-Spike looks impressed by this. "So what weaknesses does Firefly have? Since he's a fire alien, does that mean he's weak to water and any water-type aliens?"

"Not a bad guess," Chibi-Twilight nods. "That's right. Firefly's biggest weaknesses are water and being in really cold temperatures. Since Hivexus is a rather hot planet, Firefly evolved to survive in that kind of environment. Doesn't matter how hot things get around him, he's completely fine. However, this means that he can't stand cold temperatures."

She uses her magic to flick the journal's page and it shows Firefly in a cold place, the alien shivering as his wings look like they've completely frozen.

"If he can't keep his body-heat up, he'll eventually go into a horrible case of hypothermia and collapse. And if his wings become wet, he becomes unable to fly at all. So using Firefly in the rain or snow, isn't the best of ideas."

"Ouch. So what does Ultimate Firefly do to change that?"

The scene changes to show Ultimate Firefly, as the newly evolved alien unleashes a blast of fire from his skirt-like thruster and flies straight up in seconds. "Ultimate Firefly's new thrusters grant him the ability to fly at even higher speeds than his previous forms. Almost three hundred miles an hour. With his wings gone, he no longer has to worry about them getting damaged and he can unleash fire in multiple directions. Even from the tip of his horn."

The scene shows Ultimate Firefly, shooting a blast of webbing from his front arms to restrain Animac. "He can also shoot his webbing out of his arms, both his normal ones and the ones on his back. His new arms also allow him to do more dexterous tasks. The old Firefly would be useless if he ever needed to send a text or an email."

"Wow," Spike whistles as he stares at the Alien sketch. "He looks awesome. I bet he can fly way better too."

"Yup. Not only is he able to reach extremely high speeds, he can also use his four arms to propel himself in multiple directions. However, all these new abilities come with some drawbacks. Mostly, he's lost his legs."

"Oh yeah," Spike nods. "What does he do if he wants to land?"

"He can't. Or he'd have a hard time doing so if he tried. His Ultimate Form is designed to survive in combat. So losing his ability to walk in exchange for more firepower, seems to be how the Ultimatrix chose to redesign him."

"I guess. But since Flash can only become him for about ten minutes, he probably doesn't need any legs." Twilight nods, as the image changes to show Ultimate Firefly's fighting prowess.

It shows him flying at full speed and igniting his horn, using it to turn himself into a meteor that slams into Vilgax and knocks him flying backwards. It then changes to show Ultimate Firefly, as he battles against a giant beetle and smashes through one of its arms with his horn. This is followed by him webbing up the mutant and being able to carry the heavy creature, his thrusters firing at full power to keep it up in the air.

The scene then changes to show Ultimate Firefly shooting past the camera at high speed, unleashing a bunch of embers that fly in front of it. Those embers then transformed, morphing into the flickering pages of the journal as it closes. Twilight and Spike stare at the journal, as the front of it closes and the pair turn to smile at the camera. "Ultimate Aliens are so amazing." Twilight waves at the camera, "hope to see you next time." Spike barks in agreement, as the scene cuts to black.

Author's Note

I don't know about you, but I really like Ultimate Firefly. And I bet those at the Ink Tank would like it, given how often their Ultimates lose legs. More legs for the leg bucket.
