Apple Bloom and company reunited with a friend in Ecruteak City.

15. The Beauty of Eevee

In the Vermillion City Gym at Kanto, Rumble brought out a Weepinbell to face Raichu, Lt. Surge's last Pokémon. After being weakened by a Geodude's Magnitude, Raichu looks weary.

"Let's finish this, Weepinbell!" Rumble called out. "Use Vine Whip!"

Weepinbell extended a vune to whip Raichu. The Mouse Pokémon soon fainted.

"Raichu is unable to battle." A soldier announced. "Weepinbell wins. The winner of this Gym Battle is Rumble from Canterlot!"

Rumble cheered as Lt. Surge recalled Raichu.

"You showed me your dedication as a trainer, soldier." Surge said. "I salute your efforts with a Thunder Badge."

After receiving his Thunder Badge, Rumble felt very proud. "Three down, five to go."

Meanwhile in Johto, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle looked around nervously.

"I wonder where Scootaloo went." Apple Bloom said.

"She must've went out to do some training on her own." Sweetie Belle figured.

Soon, Scootaloo popped out and went to her friends. "Hey, guys. Sorry I scared you."

"You should've at least leave us a note." Apple Bloom said. "Anyway, how did your training go?"

Scootaloo soon took out a Poké Ball. "It's going great. See for yourself."

Out pops a bigger version of Chikorita. It has large leaves on it's neck and one on it's head. Apple Bloom took out her Pokédex to study what Chikorita evolved into.

Bayleef, the Leaf Pokémon and the evolved form of Chikorita. The Pokédex said. The tree shoots on it's neck give off a pleasant aroma.

"Wow, Scootaloo." Sweetie Belle cheered. "Now, all of our first Pokémon evolved."

Scootaloo soon blushed. Suddenly, they see what looks like tree blocking the road. Apple Bloom walked carefully to the tree, and touched it. Using a squirt bottle she was given, she squirted the tree. It soon popped out waving branch like arms around. Using instinct, Apple Bloom threw a Poké Ball at this creature. The Poké Ball soon clicked. Then, vanished.

"Okay, what was that thing?" Scootaloo asked.

"I don't know." Apple Bloom answered. "But, it's with Professor Elm now."

With the strange tree gone, the girls made it to their next destination: Ecruteak City. At the girls healed their Pokémon in the Pokémon Center, a brown fox walked in. Apple Bloom giggled as she pointed her Pokédex at it.

Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. Said the Pokédex. This Pokémon can evolve into different types depending on the condition.

"This reminds me of Diamond's Eevee." Apple Bloom chuckled.

Suddenly, a young maiden wearing a deap teal kimono with a blue obi walks in. Scootaloo was surprised to see who the girl is. "Diamond Tiara?"

It was indeed Diamond Tiara: The champion of Kanto. "Hi, girls. Good to see you again."

"Howdy, Diamond." Apple Bloom said as she hugged her elegant friend. "What are you and Eevee doing here?"

"We were invited by a group of girls called the Eevee Group to watch a performance with their evolved Eevees. How about joining us?"

"Not a bad idea. I like to see these evolved versions of your little friend."

Sweetie noticed that Diamond doesn't have anything on her feet. "Still going barefoot, I see."

"It was such a great experience for me," Diamond explained, "might as well keep going for it on occasions."

The girls went into a building, and found seats to sit down in. Eevee snuggled on Diamond's lap. Soon, five young maidens wearing different colored kimonos came on stage with five evolved forms of Eevee.

"We are the Eevee Group." The five girls said in unison.

One of the girls, with frizzy brown hair and wearing a black kimono with lightning bolt designs and a yellow obi spoke up. "My name is Volt." A yellow cat with prickly hair joined her. "This is Jolteon, the Lightning Pokémon. When it gets mad, it's hair turns into needles, and fires them at it's opponent."

Apple Bloom was impressed with that knowledge. Next comes a girl with flowing red hair and wearing a sea from green kimono with blue bubbles all over it. With her is a blue cat with a fish like tail. The girl addresses the crowd. "My name is Aqua. This is Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokémon. It can dive into any body of water and blend in."

An energetic girl with short blond hair comes out. She wore a red kimono with firey designed and a marigold obi. A red cat with a tail that looks like fire joins her. The girl began to speak. "Hi. I'm Blaze. And, this little guy is Flareon, the Flame Pokémon. With it's fire sac under it's neck, it's fire attack can get intense."

The next girl to arrive has curly brown hair and is wearing a purple kimono with red swirl designs. A lavender cat with it's tail split in two joins her. She talk to the crowd. "Greetings, folks. My name is Dawn. And, my companion is Espeon, the Sun Pokémon. When it's fur starts to bristle, that means something is approaching."

Finally, a white haired young girl walks out. She has on a navy blue kimono with stars all over in. A black cat with yellow round lines join her. She speaks to the people. "Finally, I am Shadow. I'm accompanied by Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokémon. It's black fur is perfect for helping it to hide from enemies at night."

Everybody clapped for the girls. Aqua then made an announcement. "We have a guest with us. Let's give a round of applause for the Kanto Region Champion: Diamond Tiara."

The crowd clapped as Diamond stood up and waved to the crowd. Later, Apple Bloom talked to the five girls who changed out of their kimonos into regular clothes.

"Thank you for letting me cataloging your Pokémon." Apple Bloom said gratefully. "This will help me with my journey."

"No problem." Blaze replied. "What are you going to do now?"

"I'm getting ready for my gym battle".

"And, me and Sweetie Belle are here to support her." Scootaloo added.

"A word of advice." Shadow said with concern. "The gym leader will be using the whole Gastly evolution. That's three ghost Pokémon to deal with.'

Apple Bloom was surprised to hear that. "Y'all mean Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar?"

"I believe as your brother back home would say," Volt answered, "eeyup!"

Hearing the conversation, Diamond has an idea. "I'll call my parents about this battle. Maybe, they'll let me watch her battle and support her."

Eevee looked at her, and nodded 'yes'.
