Time for the trio of friends to deal with Team Rocket. ONCE AND FOR ALL!

27. Raiding Team Rocket HQ

Hearing that Team Rocket took over the Radio tower in Goldenrod City, Lance invited the Cutie Mark Crusaders to help in stopping the evil organization. Lance and Sweetie ride a marigold dragon while Apple Bloom and Scootaloo ride of Pidgeot. After landing in Goldenrod City, Apple Bloom used her Pokédex to study the dragon.

Dragonite, the Dragon Pokémon. The Pokédex said. Very calm usually. But, when angered, it can be very powerful.

"Okay, girls." Lance said. "Let's head for the tower and stop Team Rocket!"

The girls followed Lance into the tower. While Lance went in one direction, the trio of friends went another. Two grunts came out with a pair of purple mice. Apple Bloom had them studied. Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. If one is seen, forty more might be near.

Apple Bloom prepared for battle. "Sentret, Poliwag, let's go!"

The two Pokémon came out. The grunts aren't impressed, and sent the Rattata to strike.

"Sentret, use Slam and Poliwag, use Bubble Beam!" Apple Bloom called out.

Sentret ran into one of the Rattata while Poliwag blew bubbles at another. At that moment, another grunt called in a big brown rodent. Apple Bloom studied this Pokémon,

Raticate, the Mouse Pokémon and the evolved form of Rattata. The Pokédex said. This Pokémon has a nasty temper and can bite without notice.

Scootaloo steps up. "Leave this to me. Let's go, Bayleef!"

Bayleef was ready for action. But, the grunt isn't impressed. "Raticate, use Hyper Fang!"

Raticate charged in to bite Bayleef. Scootaloo struck fast. "Bayleef, use Razor Leaf!"

Bayleef fired a bunch of leaves at Raticate. As the Mouse Pokémon gets pushed back, Scootaloo followed up the attack. "Now, use Body Slam!"

Jumping up, Bayleef landed on Raticate, and defeating it. Recalling Raticate, the grunt left. At that moment, Bayleef started to evolve. When the glowing stopped, Bayleef grew and red petals grew on it's neck.

"Looks like Bayleef evolved into Meganium." Apple Bloom said as she pulled out her Pokédex.

Meganium, the Herb Pokémon and the evolved form of Bayleef. The Pokédex said.In battle, it's aroma grows strong in hope to calm it's opponent.

Scootaloo hugged her newly evolved Pokémon. "Congratulations, Meganium."

As they continue to climb the tower, the girls continue to battle more Rocket Grunts. Sweetie Belle sent out her Croconaw to battle a Koffing.

"Koffing, use Sludge!" The grunt said,

As Koffing spit out it's poison, Sweetie Belle reacted fast. "Dodge it, then use Aqua Tail!"

After dodging the poison, Croconaw struck hard with its tail coated with water. The grunt recalled Koffing, and ran off. At that moment, Croconaw started to evolve. Seconds later, Croconaw grew large and has a longer tail.

"My Croconaw evolved into a Feraligatr!" Sweetie Belle cheered.

Feraligatr, the Big Jaw Pokémon and the evolved form of Croconaw. Said the Pokédex. It uses it's powerful legs to come fast at it's opponent.

Sweetie Belle and Feraligatr hugged each other. Apple Bloom soon got their attention. "Now, that we have fully evolved Pokémon, let's keep going!"

Soon, Lance came in. He has some good information. "I learned that someone impersonating the radio manager is up at the top floor."

"That's where we're going then." Apple Bloom said. "Let's go!"

After fighting through more grunts, the team confronted an executive disguised as the Radio Station Manager.

"Where's the real station manager?" Scootaloo demanded.

"Beat me and I might tell you." The imposter answered. "Go, Weezing!"

Out came a creature that's like a twin headed Koffimg. Apple Bloom studies this creature. Weezing, the Poison Gas Pokémon and the evolved form of Koffing. It's twin bodies inflate and deflate to keep it's poison churning,

Apple Bloom puts away her Pokédex and steps up to battle. "Drowzee, you're up!"

Drowzee comes out, ready for battle. The executive strikes first. "Weezing, Sludge Bomb!"

Weezing spits up poison blobs. Apple Bloom reacts quickly. "Drowzee, use Confusion and send them back!"

Drowzee stops the blobs and sends them back to Weezing hard. The young farm girl follows it up. "Now, use Psybeam!"

Drowzee fires a ray of psychic energy, and defeats Weezing. The imposter is shocked.

"Who'd ever guess that someone so young would be so skilled." The executive said as he pulls out a key. "We have the manager in the basement. This key unlocks the door leading to it."

Accepting the key, the group takes an elevator to the first floor. Soon, Apple Bloom unlocks the door and she and her friends climbed the stairs to the basement. But, somebody else was there.

"Scorch!" Apple Bloom gasped. "What are you doing here?"

"If anybody is taking out Team Rocket," Scorch said, "it'll be me! Go, Haunter!"

A Haunter comes out. Apple Bloom still has her Drowzee with her. She struck first. "Drowzee, use Psybeam!"

Drowzee fired psychic energy and struck Haunter hard. Scorch got concerned and recalled his Pokémon. "Try this, Apple Bloom. Go, Sneasel!"

A turquoise creature with sharp claws and red tail feathers came out. Apple Bloom learned of this Pokémon through her Pokédex. Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. It robs from bird Pokémon nests, then strikes with it's sharp claws.

Realizing that it's a dark type, Apple Bloom recalled Drowzee, and makes another choice. "Typhlosion, it's your turn."

Scorch was shocked to see this Pokémon. "Quilava evolved?"

"That's right." Apple Bloom answered. "Typhlosion, use Flamethrower!"

The Volcano Pokémon blew fire on Sneasel. Seeing it's weakened, Scorch recalled it.

"I forgot. Sneasel is partially an ice type and it's weakened by fire." Scorch said as he makes his next choice. "Go, Magnemite. Use Thunderbolt!"

A Magnemite came out and fired a lightning bolt to Typhlosion. Though struck, the fire Pokémon is still able to fight. Apple Bloom took advantage of that. "Okay, Typhlosion. Use Flame Charge!"

Flaring up, Typhlosion zipped to Magnemite and struck it hard. After recalling Magnemite, Scorch made his next choice. "Let's go, Golbat!"

A big bat flew out which has Apple Bloom pull out her Pokédex.

Golbat, the Bat Pokémon and the evolved form of Zubat. The Pokédex said. It becomes heavy after drinking a lot of blood

Apple Bloom recalled Typhlosion and made another choice. "You're up, Ampharos."

Scorch struck as soon as Ampharos comes out. "Golbat, use Confuse Ray!"

Golbat uses it's power to confuse Ampharos. Apple Bloom got worried. "Ampharos, try using Electro Ball!"

Fighting through the confusion, Ampharos launched an electric ball, and struck Golbat. Scorch recalled Golbat and make his next choice. "Here's my last Pokémon. Feraligatr!"

A Feraligatr comes out. But, Apple Bloom sees that her Ampharos is no longer confused. "Let's wrap it up with Thunder Punch!"

Ampharos punched Feraligatr with an electric force. Scorch was surprised to see this.

"I guess you don't fool around." Scorch said as he recalled Feraligatr. "I'll leave Team Rocket to you. Let's meet again. Next time, for an honest Pokémon battle."

Scorch leaves the scene, leaving the Cutie Mark Crusaders to stop Team Rocket. Will they be successful?
