The CMCs go to Johto

Previously, Apple Bloom finds herself face to face with Lance, the Johto Region Champion. Apple Bloom's Miltank used it's Rollout to defeat Kindra. Ampharos shocked it on Gyarados. Then, Miltank rolled out to battle Aerodactyl's Giga Impact. When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon were out cold.

"Both Pokémon are unable to battle." The referee announced. "This battle is a draw."

"What a twist of events." Said MC Cookie Masterson. "Though Apple Bloom suffered her first loss in this battle, Lance is now down to three Pokémon."

"Return, Miltank." Apple Bloom said as she recalled her Pokémon. "You did good. Now get some rest."

"Poor Apple Bloom." Sweetie Belle said sadly. "Miltank was a good Pokémon."

"Don't worry, Sweetie Belle." Scootaloo replied. "She still have five Pokémon while Lance has three."

Lance soon got himself ready. "Here comes my fourth Pokémon. Go, Charizard!"

A large orange dragon like creature with big wings flew high. Apple Bloom used her Pokédex to study it. Charizard, the Flame Pokémon. It's always on the hunt for strong enemies.

Apple Bloom made her next choice. "Back to action, Ampharos!"

As soon as Ampharos came out, Lance struck. "Charizard, use Flamethrower!"

Charizard blew hot flames at Ampharos. Luckily, the Light Pokémon withstood the heat.

"I remember how Charizard battled when my cousin Babs Seed, had one." Apple Bloom said. "Better slow it down. Ampharos, use Electro Ball!"

Ampharos made a ball of electricity appear and slung it into Charizard. Apple Bloom followed it up. "Okay, Ampharos. Use Discharge!"

Ampharos unleashed it's electrical power. But, Lance struck back. "Charizard, use Overheat!"

After being struck by the Discharge, Charizard glowed, then unleashed strong fire to hit Ampharos. The flames caused the Light Pokémon to faint.

"Ampharos is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Charizard wins."

"The heat from Overheat had Ampharos feel the burn." Cookie said. "Now, Apple Bloom is down to four Pokémon."

"Ampharos, return." Apple Bloom said. "Nice try. Take a good rest." She then made her next choice. "Let's go, Sudowoodo!"

Sudowoodo came out, and Lance wasn't impressed. "Time for this tree to get chopped. "Charizard, Flamethrower!"

Just as Charizard was ready with it's flames, electricity from Ampharos paralyzed it. Apple Bloom took the advantage. "Okay, Sudowoodo. Use Rock Tomb!"

Sudowoodo fired a stream of rocks at Charizard. Being a fire and flying type, Charizard soon fainted.

"Charizard is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Sudowoodo wins!"

"Charizard's world got rocked as Lance is now down to two Pokémon." Cookie informed.

After recalling Charizard, he had a big surprise in store for Apple Bloom. "This may not be a dragon type. But, it's very powerful. Go, Tyrantitar!"

A large stone creature came out for battle. Scootaloo was shocked to see this beast. "That's a Tyrantitar, the Armor Pokémon!"

Apple Bloom quickly took out her Pokédex. "So, that's a Tyrantitar, huh?".

Tyrantitar, the Armor Pokémon. Said the Pokédex. It has enough strength to move a mountain.

"Tyrantitar, use Dark Pulse!" Lance called out.

This powerful rock Pokémon sent black energy rings at Sudowoodo. Apple Bloom reacted quickly. "Dodge it! Then, use Low Kick!"

Sudowoodo avoided the Dark Pulse, then kicked Tyrantitar hard. Apple Bloom decided to follow it up. "Okay, Sudowoodo. Use Head Smash!'

Bending down, Sudowoodo planned to ram into Tyrantitar. But, Lance reacted. "Tyrantitar, use Hyper Beam!"

Sudowoodo connected. But, Tyrantitar struck the Mimic Pokémon with a beam of pure energy. Sudowoodo quickly fainted.

"Sudowoodo is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Tyrantitar wins.

"That was a big blow to the farm girl from Canterlot." Cookie said. "How will she recover from this?"

After recalling Sudowoodo, Apple Bloom makes her next choice. "Like this, Cookie. Let's go, Politoed!"

Politoed came out, and clapped happily. Apple Bloom saw that Tyrantitar is recovering from Hyper Beam. She decided to strike fast. "Politoed, use Bubble Beam!'

Firing a line of bubbles, Politoed struck at the weakened Tyrantitar until it fainted.

"Tyrantitar is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Politoed wins."

"What a move." Cookie cheered. "Now, Lance is down to his last Pokémon."

From Canterlot, the Wonderbolts watched with interest.

"Come on, Lance." Sky Stinger cheered. "Teach that girl not to spread rumors!"

Sky Stinger's angry attitude is rubbing Spitfire the wrong way. Meanwhile, Lance readies his ace. "Let's go, Dragonite!"

Dragonite comes out and everyone got excited. The Cutie Mark Crusaders looked at the Pokémon with concern. Apple Bloom recalled Politoed to bring out what she considers her best shot. "Let's go, Piloswine!"

When Lance sees Piloswine, he knows he's in for trouble. "Time to makes this fast. Dragonite, use Fire Punch on that Ice type!"

Dragonite energized it's gist with fire. As it's just ready to punch Piloswine, Apple Bloom struck fast. "Piloswine, use Powder Snow!"

Piloswine blew snow in Dragonite's face. As it recovers, Apple Bloom followed it up. "Piloswine, here's your chance. Use Blizzard!"

Piloswine caused a snowstorm to weaken Dragonite. But, Lance has another idea. "Dragonite, use Outrage!"

Dragonite soon swung wildly at Piloswine. The Swine Pokémon was hit so hard, it fainted.

"Piloswine is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Dragonite wins"

"Apple Bloom had her hopes for Piloswine." Cookie said. "Will she recover from this?"

After recalling Piloswine, she made her next choice. "Politoed, back to action!"

Politoed came out and clapped happily. Lance was amused. "This will be easy. Dragonite, use Thunder Punch!"

Energizing a fist with electricity, Dragonite rushes in to hit Politoed. Apple Bloom reacted quickly. "Politoed, use Hyper Voice!"

Politoed sang loudly and pushed Dragonite back. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were getting excited.

"This will be your swan song." Lance said. "Dragonite, use Dragon Tail!"

Using green energy, Dragonite quickly struck Politoed hard. The battle with Tyrantitar left it so tired, Dragon Tail caused it to faint.

"Politoed is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Dragonite wins!"

Everybody got concerned as Apple Bloom recalled Politoed. In Canterlot, Sky Stinger clapped happily.

"What's gotten into you?" Soarin skies asked. "Now, Apple Bloom is down to her last Pokémon."

"I know." Sky Stinger cheered. "That little gossip mavens is finished!"

Spitfire is getting annoyed. Apple Bloom has redeemed herself, Sky Stinger. Stop rooting against her.

Back in Johto, Cookie Masterson makes an announcement. "Now, Apple Bloom has one Pokémon. Which will she choose?"

"This Pokémon has been with me throughout my whole journey." Apple Bloom said. "This will be his ultimate test. Let's go, Typhlosion!"

Typhlosion came out and stood it's ground. Lance wonders how Apple Bloom will win.

"Typhlosion, use Flame Charge." Apple Bloom called out.

Typhlosion flared up, and charged into Dragonite. Lance strikes back. "Dragonite, use Hyper Beam!"

Dragonite started to ready itself. But, Apple Bloom reacted quickly. "Typhlosion, use Flame Wheel to avoid that Hyper Beam!"

Hyper Beam is unleashed. But, Typhlosion rolled out of the way. While Dragonite is resting, Apple Bloom hits fast and hard. "Typhlosion, use FIRE BLAST!"

Typhlosion unleashed a five point star of fire on Dragonite. The battle with three Pokémon exhausted. When Fire Blast connected, Dragonite got weary. After ten seconds, Dragonite fainted.

"Dragonite is unable to battle." The referee announced. "Typhlosion wins. The winner and NEW Johto Region Champion, Apple Bloom!"

"That's it!" Cookie Masterson said. "Apple Bloom defeated the mighty Lance and became the new Johto Region Champion."

Apple Bloom was stunned. Then, she jumped up and cheered. "I WON!"

Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Typhlosion gave her a comforting hug. Her family cheered for her from the stands. Lance recalled his Dragonite. "You did well, Dragonite. Now, get some rest."

After all of her Pokémon were healed, they stood with her as Cookie Masterson arrives with a trophy.

"Congratulations, Apple Bloom." Cookie said. "You have conquered your ultimate test. You are the new champion of Johto."

Everybody cheered as Apple Bloom and her Pokémon posed for a picture. Soon, the picture and their hand prints were placed in the Johto Region Hall of Fame. If this doesn't convince people that her days as the leader of Anon-a-miss is over, nothing will. She proudly holds up her trophy. "Just wait until everyone in Canterlot see this!"
