It's time for Apple Bloom to face her greatest Jackbox challenge yet.
July 15-Fibbage XL
"Are you sure about this?" Apple Bloom asked nervously.
"Come on, sis." Applejack said over the phone. "Y'all have nothing to worry about."
"I don't know. I know I have to face this sooner or those. But, why are you okay with this?"
Back at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack continues to talk to her sister over the phone. "Like I told ya before, sometimes deception can be a good thing. And, that includes the Fibbage games. That's where my challenge comes in. Take part in all four Fibbage games in a row. Just remember, leave the lies and deception in the games. Later, sis."
After Applejack hung up, Big Mac steps in. "Having our little sister take on the Fibbage challenge. Huh?"
"Yup." Applejack answered. "This is the best way for her to get over her fears."
"I hope she won't carry the effects of Fibbage to the real world."
"Don't worry, Big Mac. She knows better."
In Jackbox Village, Apple Bloom heads over to the old section. She looks at the art studio where she played 'Drawful'. Then she sees the ice cream parlor.
"I can go for some ice cream." Apple Bloom said before turning to the set up next door to it. "But first, I have that dang Fibbage challenge to do."
As she enters the building, she sees that it's actually a cheerful looking place. There are eight tables with screens on them. After signing up, Apple Bloom sits on one of them. She was surprised to see Diamond Tiara sitting at her own table.
"Hey, Apple Bloom." Diamond greeted. "I never expected to see you here."
"It's my sister's idea." Apple Bloom explained. "She sent me on this Fibbage challenge."
At that moment, a handsome man with brown hair and wearing a white shirt and black pants with suspenders comes along.
"Hello, players." The man announced. "Welcome to Fibbage. I'm Cookie Masterson and I'll be your host. You're going to see a prompt. You'll be asked to write your own answer that you hope to fool the other players. Then, you need to find the real truth. You'll get 500 points for each player you fool and 1,000 points for finding the truth."
Apple Bloom is prepared for anything Cookie can dish out. One of the other players chose the subject 'Carnival rides'.
"Okay, here's the question." Cookie said. "A little girl in North Carolina was rushed to a hospital. Seems that she got sick from ________. Okay, everybody. Write your lies now."
The players started to write down their answers. Apple Bloom thought about carnival experiences she had and came up with an idea. Soon, nine possible answers popped up. Cookie spoke again. "Find the truth."
Apple Bloom saw all the possibilities, and chose 'Riding the Merry Go Round'. Soon, the answers were shown one at a time. Apple Bloom's answer, Eating too many sweets, fooled two people. This gave her 1,000 points.
"How did you come up with that?" One boy asked.
"I've seen my fair share of people throwing up in carnivals." Apple Bloom explained. "They ate too much too fast."
"That's a good thought."
The right answer was Riding the Merry Go Round. Three people got that right. Apple Bloom included.
"Sometimes, classic rides are too speedy for some kids." Cookie said.
By the time Round 2 came, Diamond was in the lead while Apple Bloom was in fourth.
"Wow!" Apple Bloom gasped. "You played that good."
"You can still catch up." Diamond explained. "In Round 2, point values are doubled."
It was Apple Bloom's turn to pick a category. She chose 'Farm Life'. This was dear to her heart.
"Here's a good one." Cookie explained. "A farmer in Kentucky discovered shocking in an apple barrel. It was full of ________. Okay, show me what you got."
The players wrote down answers. Apple Bloom wrote down 'Moldy apples with worms'. Soon, nine possible answers popped up on the screen. Apple Bloom selected 'A pig eating the apples '.
The answers were shown one at a time. Apple Bloom's answer fooled two people.
"Huh!" One girl said. "Must've seen her fair share of apples ruined by worms."
The girl gave Apple Bloom a thumbs up. Soon, the answer, A pig eating the apples' showed up. Apple Bloom answered the question correctly, and earned 2,000 points. She soon found herself in the lead with 8,250.
"Keep up the good work, AB." Diamond said.
Cookie Masterson them got everybody's attention. "Okay, folks. This is the Final Fibbage. One more question. The point values for this are tripled. While traveling down Route 66, a family had to pull over. The police found _____ in their ______. Get busy."
"A double answer, huh?" Apple Bloom said. "This should be interesting."
Apple Bloom soon wrote down Dirty diapers in their Cooler. Let's hope the other players fall for that logic.
Nine possible answers popped up. Apple Bloom selected a puppy in their duffle bag. While the answers were shown, Apple Bloom was upset that nobody selected her answer. But the Puppy in the Duffle bag was right. Although Apple Bloom earned 3,000 points, the final score shows that another girl, one with black hair with lime green streaks, wins the game with 12,015.
"That was a great game." The girl said as she shook Apple Bloom's hand in friendship. "You did come in a close second with 11,250."
This made Apple Bloom a bit happy. Later, in the ice cream parlor, Apple Bloom sat down to a banana split while Diamond Tiara had a thick chocolate milk shake.
"I can't believe I made it through my first Fibbage game." Apple Bloom said.
"I know, right?" Diamond replied. "Some of your own experiences were good material for some of your answers."
"You bet. I guess I had nothin' to worry about after all."
The two girls continue to enjoy their frozen treats. Apple Bloom realized that the Fibbage challenge Applejack set up was only beginning. She may have done the first Fibbage game, but, she's not done yet. "Well, one down and three to go."
