It's comedy time. And, Apple Bloom hopes to wow the crowd.

July 23-Talking Points

After that battle of Fixy Text, Apple Bloom felt better, knowing Garble and his boys won't bug her for a while. As Apple Bloom was relaxing in her room, watching a video on her phone, she heard a knock on her door.

"Who's there?" Apple Bloom asked.

"It's me!" A squeaky voice answered. "Pinkie!"

Sure enough, it was Pinkie Pie who came into the room. This surprised Apple Bloom a lot.

"Hey, Pinkie." Apple Bloom said. "What brings you here?"

"Cheese Sandwich and I are getting together at a karaoke place." Pinkie answered. "But, it's a special event."

"How special are we talking about?"

"Instead of the usual karaoke stuff, it's going to be a comedy night."

This got Apple Bloom interested. "You and Cheese are pretty funny. Even Captain Chuck Hull noticed that."

"Yeah!" Pinkie replied. "That day on the Joke Boat was fun."

Soon, Pinkie gave her the explanation of her visit. "I was wondering if you would like to join us."

"That's a good idea." Amy said as she comes into the conversation. "A night of comedy is a great way to cut loose. Apple Bloom, you have my green light."

"I guess I'm tagging along with you, Pinkie."

"Great!" Pinkie squealed. "We'll be over at 4 to escort you there."

As Pinkie left the area, Apple Bloom got to thinking. "I wonder what Jackbox game this'll be."

Later that day, Pinkie and company went into a ballroom type place. Apple Bloom felt a little bit worried.

"I feel a little underdressed in here." Apple Bloom said nervously.

"Not to worry." Cheese Sandwich assured her. "It's all casual here."

At that moment, a young lady with flowing blond hair and wearing a white shirt, blue jeans with suspenders, and black sneakers stepped up to a microphone.

"Hi, comedy fans." The girl said. "My name is Camilla. Welcome to comedy night!"

The crowd cheered for the introduction. Camilla continued her speech. "Let's make this special. I suggest we have some audience participation today. How many of you are familiar with the Jackbox game: Talking Points?"

Everybody held up their hands. Even Apple Bloom.

"All right!" Camilla cheered. "I'll select eight of you guys at random. Then, you'll each be assigned an assistant."

Camilla looked around the crowd. Cheese Sandwich was chosen, and is allowed to have Pinkie as his assistant. Soon, Camilla saw Apple Bloom.

"Hi, miss Apple Bloom." Camilla greeted. "I think I saw you aboard the Joke Boat. How did you enjoy the show?"

"I thought it was good." Apple Bloom replied nervously.

"Let's see how YOU do performing comedy. I'll have somebody to help you out. Come with me."

Minutes later, a young man with red hair and wearing a denim jacket started working on a series of text messages and pictures for Apple Bloom to work with.

"I'm getting scared." Apple Bloom quivered.

"Don't worry, friend." The boy replied. "You'll do great."

Later, the comedy show us about to begin.

"Let's get this laugh fest started." Camilla said. "First up, Cheese Sandwich!"

The curly haired funny man stepped up and addresses the crowd. "Hi, everybody. My name is Cheese Sandwich. Today, I like to talk about unusual music instruments." A picture of an orchestra appeared. "There are a few things about instruments I should explain. Those woodwinds reminds me of people having burritos. When you hear the sounds, You'll wonder if you can plug your noses or not."

The crowd laughed a bit. Even Apple Bloom thought is was a good thought. Cheese continues. "Let me explain something to you." A picture of a marching band shows up. "Some groups of instruments work together in harmony. That might give the pony version of Canterlot student Twilight Sparkle better ideas of protecting Equestria."

Some people gave a weird look. But, a few laughed, knowing what Cheese Sandwich is talking about. The curly haired funny man wrapped things up. "All I have to say is this." A picture of a zoo showed up. "There may be many music critics out there who are not in tune with music. Things could get beastly with all of this criticism. Thank you."

Everybody clapped for Cheese as he stepped down. The show went well as the audience voted for how well they did. Camilla went to the microphone. "Our next up and comer is Apple Bloom."

Feeling nervous, Apple Bloom steps up to the stage. She'll have to think on her feet once she sees the pictures.

"Howdy, y'all." The farm girl greeted. "My name is Apple Bloom. And, I want to talk about a subject I went through: Internet Trolls."

A picture of a computer monitor was presented. Apple Bloom continues her speech. "After what I went through, I find this kind of person is cruel. Many are surprised that these trolls didn't download any viruses. Even from my dark past, I wouldn't ruin any computer."

Some people chuckled, and most nodded, knowing what she's talking about. Apple Bloom goes on. "I wanna know something." A picture of toy trolls appears. "Why can't these characters be cuddly and friendly? They would be so cute, you want to hug them."

Everybody laughed and awed Apple Bloom as she pretends to give something a hug. She continues her discussion. "So, this is what I think." A picture of a jail cell is shown. "These characters should be punished for their crimes. Trust me. Me and two of my friends learned our lesson. Let's hope trolls who invade Jackbox streams stay away. Thank you, folks."

The crowd clapped as Apple Bloom steps down. She was met by the young man who set it up.

"That was a great set up." Apple Bloom cheered. "Thanks."

"I'm glad you like it." The young man said as he shook her hand. "You did good up there."

Later the competition is over. Pinkie and Cheese invited Apple Bloom to join them at a pizza place.

"Congratulations, Cheese." Pinkie chirped. "You were the big winner today."

"Thanks, Pinkie." Cheese Sandwich replied. "You know, Apple Bloom was very good too."

"You're right." Pinkie turned to the farm girl. "Good work on your part too."

Apple Bloom blushed, knowing she is appreciated for her attempt at comedy.
