August 14-Junktopia / Monster Seeking Monster night 5

As Apple Bloom walks along the streets of Jackbox Village, she felt something strange near an alleyway. As she steps in the alley, she vanished through a portal. She then finds herself in a medieval type village.

"Is this what Jackbox Village was in the old days?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Not exactly." Said the voice of an old man.

Apple Bloom turned around an saw a character she met before. It was the wizard who helped her from a nightmare she had.

"The Wizard!" Apple Bloom gasped. "Does this mean I'm in Junktopia?"

"Yep." The wizard answered as he pulls out a mirror. "And, I also turned ya into a cute little frog."

The farm girl saw herself as a lime green frog with a bow on her head. "Yipe! No wonder he looked bigger than I remember."

"You're not the only one transformed." Said a female southern voice.

Apple Bloom saw two other frogs. A light brown frog with a stetson hat, and a Kelly green frog with a Tiara. Apple Bloom soon realized who the brown frog is. "Is that you, Applejack?"

"Sure is." Applejack said sadly. "Me and Rarity were in town hopin' to visit you. When we stumbled into that alley, and we became frogs."

The green frog, who was indeed Rarity, looked at her Tiara. "At least this Tiara is a nice touch. And, I am in a bright shade of green."

The wizard and five other frogs came along to join the trio.

"Now, let me explain why I turned you all into frogs." The wizard said. "I like your human things. But, hate their boring backstories. That's where you come in."

The wizard took the eight frogs to what looks like an antique shop. His explanation continues. "You are to buy some items in this store. One item per customer. Afterwards, rename the items and come up with two comical facts. Make me laugh, dang it! Your items and stories will add up to appraisals. Whoever makes the most money, win this game."

"Sure." Said another frog. "We got it."

"Okay, start shopping!"

The frogs began looking around for items to buy. Applejack found a small keyboard. "Reminds me of what Rarity plays. I have some ideas for this."

Rarity soon found a horseshoe. "My goodness. Reminds me of those horse rides I took at Sweet Apple Acres. Excellent."

Meanwhile, Apple Bloom found an orb marked with a question mark. As the frogs paid for their purchases, Rarity has an idea for hers.

"That'll be $900." The store worker said.

"How about a little something reasonable." Rarity said. "Say 750?"

The worker looks at the green frog with interest. "750 it is. Good haggling."

It was Apple Bloom's turn. She presented her orb. It soon changed into a pinwheel. The worker was pleased. "Mystery items are full of surprises. That'll be an even $700."

"Deal." Apple Bloom replied.

Later, the frogs appeared in front of the wizard with their items.

"I have here the electronic orchestra." Applejack said. "Just a push of a button and you have many instruments in one convenient box. You'll never have to miss a concert with this."

"That great." The wizard praised. "That's a good backstory. Who's next?"

After a couple of more presentations, Rarity steps up. "I give you the cowboy boomerang. It may not come back. But, it's handy to fight against bullies."

Everybody clapped. Rarity hopped off to let Apple Bloom have her turn.

"This little item is the portable Rainbow." Apple Bloom explained. "Just wait for a strong breeze, and this thing will spin. The colors might hypnotize you though."

After the presentations were done, everyone appraised each other's items. Minutes later, the wizard begins to speak.

"Well done, folks." The wizard said happily. "Your backstories are indeed comical. The appraisals are added up. The winner is.....Rarity!"

The other frogs cheered for Rarity. She was impressed with her victory. "I knew looking for discounts in stores would come in handy."

Later, all eight players left the alleyway changed back to their human selves. Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Rarity included.

"Well, guys." Applejack said. "That's the end of that experience."

"Indeed." Rarity added. "Being a frog was interesting. But, I can do without munching on flies. Yuck."

"Well, don't worry, Rares. A hero sandwich will fix all of us."

"Excellent idea. Point me to the sub shop."

Apple Bloom happily joins them. But, she knows that she has other plans when night comes to the village. Later that night, Apple Bloom enters the haunted house and watches the dating action. Trixie is seen with a bald headed man with a mustache and side burns. "You look interesting. How about going to a movie?"

"With you?" The man said. "Sounds good to me."

As Apple Bloom watch the action, the Mother soon asked the girl with short curly hair for a date. She agreed and hugged her. Soon, dates are chosen. But, the werewolf was rejected by another gentleman. The Mother laughed. "No date for the child means an extra heart for me."

Felicia went to the man Trixie asked out on night three. "Okay, sir. Show us your identity."

The distinguished gentleman transformed into a beefy man with a beard. He wore a brown outfit with fedora, and a chainsaw for a right arm. He then sang his identity. "🎶MONSTER HUNTER!🎶"

"A monster hunter?" Apple Bloom asked. "Among these monsters?"

Felicia gave Apple Bloom information. "The Monster Hunter gets a bonus heart for dating the monster type they've been secretly told to hunt."

"And, who is the Monster Hunter seeking?"

"You'll find out tomorrow night." The Monster Hunter said. "It's the last night of this gathering."

That got Trixie very excited. Up to this point, her monster identity has not been revealed. She already has five hearts. And, who knows how many more she secretly has. Later, Apple Bloom was in her bedroom, ready for a good night's sleep. There was one thing on her mind. "I saw a Werewolf, Body Swapper, the Mother, and a Monster Hunter. I wonder who Trixie and the others are. Hopefully, not a zombie."
