August 18-Visiting Home
Apple Bloom and her guardians for the summer we're leaving a department store with three shopping bags.
"You folks didn't have to do this for me." Apple Bloom said.
"Why not?" Kevin replied. "School is coming, you know. Amy and I figured you can use some new outfits."
"Nothing wrong with getting ready." Amy added. "Next week, we'll get you some supplies. Notebooks, writing tools, and so on."
As soon as they got into their car, the nasty critic, Svengallop, rushed over and dragged Apple Bloom out.
"Nobody must trust you!" Svengallop said angrily. "Go back to your summer PRISON!"
After slapping her in the face, he leaves. This left Apple Bloom shaken. But, she recovered and went back in the car. There are still disbelievers out there.
Later, back at the house, Apple Bloom looked at her new clothes as her phone rings.
"Hello?" Apple Bloom said.
"Howdy, sis." Said the voice on the other end. "Applejack here. Guess what. The county fair is back in Canterlot."
"The County Fair? One of the best events we of the Apples ever went to."
"Yup. And, you're invited to join me and the family over there."
"Thanks, Applejack. I'll let my guardians know of this."
Later, the Felmanders dropped Apple Bloom off at the gates of the County Fair.
"Have fun, AB." Amy said. "Give us a call when you want a pick up."
As her guardians left, Applejack went over to her young sister.
"You made it, Apple Bloom!" Applejack said happily.
"I sure did." Apple Bloom replied. "Nice to be home. Even if it is for a bit."
"Let's go, sis. There's lots to do, you know."
The Apple sisters looked around the County Fair. They see a lot of their friends are there too. Rainbow Dash was at a milk bottle booth. She threw a ball to knock all the bottles down.
"We have a winner!" The barker announced.
He gave Rainbow a plushie of a rabbit. "Pretty cute. I think this'll keep my turtle, Tank, company."
They see Pinkie Pie enjoy some cotton candy. Applejack giggled. "Pinkie always loved sweet stuff."
"There's no question about that." The young Apple replied.
Sunset Shimmer was ready for the hammer and bell game with Twilight Sparkle watching. One swing, and she rang the bell. The former bully received a plush line green dragon.
"A little reminder of home, Sunset?" Twilight asked.
"I guess so." Sunset chuckled.
Later, Applejack and Apple Bloom were at a picnic table enjoying some lunch with Rarity and Fluttershy joining them.
"How does it feel being home?" Fluttershy asked while munching on some corn on the cob.
"It feels a great way to recharge." Apple Bloom answered while eating a hamburger. "Nice change of pace from all of that Jackbox action."
Applejack gave her little sister a small hug. "I hear that."
"I heard that your guardians already provided new clothes for the school year?" Rarity asked.
"They did. I was surprised they would do that for me."
"Maybe next week, me and Sweetie Belle will take you shopping with us to add to your wardrobe."
This was a good idea. At that moment, Svengallop was looking around the County Fair.
"What a dump!" Svengallop complained. "Who would want to attend an event with smelly animals and messy food?"
He soon saw Apple Bloom with her sister. He got mad. "That hoodlum is at it again. Time for her to leave these premises."
The mean critic went over to the table. Rarity hot miffed. "Svengallop! What are you doing here?"
He soon exploded at Apple Bloom. "I told you that nobody should trust you! Now, to throw you out!"
Just as he was going to grab her, Grand Pear arrives to stop him. "Causing trouble again. Huh, Svengallop? I'll have to call for back up. Hey, Big Daddy McColt!"
Out steps a light gray skinned man wearing a white shirt blue bib overalls and brown boots. He stroked his beard and replied to the call. "Howdy, Grand Pear. What can I do for ya?"
Minutes later, Svengallop was thrown of the fairgrounds. He noticed that his notebook has pages ripped out. "Darn! They even tore up my review of the fair." He stood up and brushed himself off. "Oh well, back to the old drawing board."
Later, Apple Bloom finds herself back at Sweet Apple Acres. Setting her sneakers aside, she sits next to a tree to enjoy the atmosphere.
"I figured I find you here." Applejack said as she joins her little sister.
"It's been a couple of months since I have this opportunity." Apple Bloom replied.
"I know. You loved looking at our farmland to have some peace and quiet."
The two sisters enjoy each other's company. Applejack looked at her sister as is feeling nervous.
"Are you still upset about how I brought you to Jackbox Village?" Applejack asked.
"I was at first." Apple Bloom answered. "But, as the summer rolls on, things got better."
"Y'all did pretty good over there. And, you were very helpful at the Quixort Factory and the Poll Mine."
"Thanks, sis. I wonder if you heard how I bested those Flim Flam Brothers at Fibbage 2."
"I sure did. That's twice they were embarrassed."
The girls had a good laugh when Granny Smith came in.
"Pardon me, Apple Bloom." Granny Smith said. "I called your guardians from Jackbox Village. They'll be here to pick you up in twenty minutes."
Okay, Granny." Apple Bloom replied.
Apple Bloom put on her sneakers and prepared to be picked up. Granny Smith and Applejack look at her with admiration.
"She sure has changed since she was sent to Jackbox Village." Granny Smith said proudly. "Hasn't she?"
"To quote Big Macintosh," Applejack replied, "Eeyup."
Later, Apple Bloom was back at her summer home. After slipping on her nightshirt, she thought about her summer adventure so far. "I have done so much in this village. And, I still got ten games to experience, by playing or by watching. That includes that other popular Jackbox game series: Quiplash."
Soon, she laid down on her bed, turned off the lights, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
