He is thinking about a new idea for a story. "Here it is: 2025." Brian said to himself. "A new year, and hopefully, new ideas." As Brian looked over the stories he wrote, he has been thinking about his participation. "Since 2018, I have been busy thinking up stories from the My Little Pony and the Equestria Girls universes. My crossover stories got a lot of notice. Especially crossovers with Pokémon adventures." Wanting a time out, Brian grabbed his Nintendo Switch and started to play a new game he recently got for Christmas. "This game of Super Mario RPG is lots of fun." Brian said happily. "Hard to believe this was remastered from an old Super NES game." That's when he had an idea. "HEY! I can write my own take on this game. And, I know which characters can be the heroes." After playing his game for an hour, Brian logged on to the fanfic site and started typing. "This is going to be good." //-------------------------------------------------------// 1. A New Threat to Equestria //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Time for another crossover story. This one is based on "Super Mario RPG". 1. A New Threat to Equestria On a beautiful day in Equestria, Twilight Sparkle and her friends race through Everfree Forest. They took care to avoid the Poison Joke Flowers, and arrived at the Castle of Two Sisters. It was where Princess Luna was corrupted into the insidious Nightmare Moon. "Are you sure about this, Twi'?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I'm sure of it." Twilight replied. "While visiting Canterlot, Megan was suddenly captered by Chrysalis." "Even without her hive and Changelings," Rarity figured, "this wicked creature is still dangerous." Fluttershy shook with fear. "Poor Megan. She must be terrified." "That bug eyed creep will pay for snatching our human friend." Applejack said angrily. "Then, what are we waiting for?" Twilight said. "Let's go." The Mane Six soon charged into the castle. Inside, Megan was tied up so she can't escape. Chrysalis looked at her with vicious delight. "Twilight and her pals will soon be here." Megan said. "You don't stand a chance without the Changelings helping you." "Perhaps not." Chrysalis boasted. "But, I have enough magical energy to defeat those foolish ponies. I don't even need other villains to help me." Megan started to get nervous. Suddenly, the doors were knocked open courtesy of Pinkie Pie's party cannon. The Mane Six barged in and confronted their for. "This is a new low, Chrysalis!" Twilight shouted. "Even for you!" "Twilight!" Megan gasped. "Am I glad to see you." "Don't worry, Megan. We'll handle this freak." "Yeah." Pinkie chirped. "This meanie is outnumbered six to one." As Chrysalis steps out to confront the heroes, she notices something different about them. "Where's your little dragon friend?" "Celestia and Luna are watching over him in Canterlot." Twilight answered. "Your invading scared him silly." "I maybe outnumbered. But, not out powered. With my transformation powers, you ponies won't stand a chance." Then, just as the battle was about to begin, there was a rumbling heard. Something fell from the sky and struck on everyone in the castle, scattering them all over the place. Twilight recovered and saw a giant sword stuck in the middle of the castle. Twilight looked around for her friends, Megan, and Chrysalis. But, nopony was around. At that moment, a voice was heard from the sword. "Twilight Sparkle, we are the Smithy Gang. We have come to conquer Equestria!" "I don't know who you are," Twilight said, "but nopony comes to Equestria and push us around." "Is that so? All of your friends scattered and ran away. And, so did that changeling. You best leave right now. Or, we'll get rough with you." Feeling afraid, Twilight ran out if the Everfree Forest. Later, she found her way to her home of Ponyville. As she approached her castle, she saw Spike waiting for him. "Twilight." Spike called out. "You're back!" "Good to see you, Spike." Twilight said. "What are you doing back here?" "Princess Celestia sent me. We learned that something happened at the Castle of Two Sisters." "That it has. While me and my friends were ready to save Megan from Queen Chrysalis, this giant sword struck down and scattered us. I don't know where everypony went." At that moment, Princess Celestia flew in to deliver some news. "Twilight, I'm glad your safe." "Princess Celestia." Twilight gasped. "What brings you here?" "I'm afraid this group called the Smithy Gang did more than just announced its arrival. Your friends of the Mane Six got so scared, they took off in different directions. Nopony knows where they went." "What about Megan and Chrysalis?" "Chrysalis flew away. Even she got scared of this Smitty Gang. As for Megan, she laid down on the ground when she saw a piece of brick from the Castle of Two Sisters. She used the sharp edges to cut the ropes that restrained her. Then, she ran off." "At least we know she's safe." Spike said. "For now." Twilight added. "What'll we do now?" "First thing you should do is come to Canterlot." Celestia suggested. "I'll get some troops together to fight back against this Smithy Gang." Celeste then flew off back to Canterlot. Twilight then turned to Spike. "You stay here, Spike. I don't want the Smitty Gang to come after you." Twilight then took off for Canterlot. Spike watched with concern. "Be careful, Twilight." The Princess of Friendship decided to take a long route to keep from any creature aligned with the Smithy Gang to get in her way. I have dealt with a lot of threats to Equestria in the past. Twilight thought. Nightmare Moon, Discord, Chrysalis, Tirek, Sombra, The Pony of Shadows, and even Cozy Glow. But, this Smithy Gang is new to me. I just can't believe that they scared my friends away. These invaders will pay for this. As Twilight arrived in Canterlot, she saw a shocking sight. It was a small plump white critter chasing a purple crocodile wearing a red hat. This croc has a bag over his shoulder. "Come back here with my Grandfather's coin!" The critter called out. "No!" The crocodile sneered. Twilight was saddened by this scene. She approached this white creature as it was crying. "Are you okay?" Twilight asked. "No." The critter answered. "That bandit stole my grandfather's coin. I tried to chase him. But, he was too fast." Twilight comforted this poor fellow." Don't worry. I'll think of a way to help you." "Thank you." He replied. "My name is Mallow." "Nice to meet you, Mallow. My name is Twilight Sparkle." "Twilight Sparkle? The Princess of Friendship?' Twilight gave Mallow a warm smile. "That's me." Inside the castle, Twilight and Mallow has a talk with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. "Do not worry, Mallow." Celestia said. "I'd there's a chance to catch this bandit, Twilight here can help you." "Thank you, Princess Celestia." Mallow said. "I'll be grateful to get my grandfather's coin back." Luna soon approached Twilight with a necklace containing a white diamond. She then placed it on Twilight's neck. "This is a special necklace. It will let you call for one of your friends to help you in any way." "Thank you, Princess Luna." Twilight said. "Now, where can we find this bandit?" "There's a path near Canterlot called Bandit's Way. This character might be hanging out there." Nodding to each other, Twilight and Mallow left the castle to find this thieving crocodile. But, what about this Smithy Gang? One problem at a time. //-------------------------------------------------------// 2. A Croc and a Star //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note The adventure continues as Twilight and Mallow find the fiendish Crocodile. And, save Canterlot from an invasion force more creepy than the Changelings. 2. A Croc and a Star Twilight Sparkle and her companion, Mallow, travel through a forest area outside Canterlot called Bandit's Way. An area where a thieving crocodile, who stole a coin from Mallow, is hiding out. "By the way, Twilight." Mallow said. "Aren't you part of a team called the Mane Six?" "I see that you heard of us." Twilight answered. "Yes. I am part of the Mane Six, as we're referred to." "Then, where are Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy?" "After that giant sword landed in the middle of the Castle of the Two Sisters, my friends scattered in fear. It must be from those creeps from the Smithy Gang." "The Smithy Gang? Who are they?" "We'll figure that out later. Right now, let's keep looking for that crooked crocodile." The two friends keep looking along the way. They soon we're confronted by living mushrooms. "Those are Goombas!" Twilight said. "They're usually found in the Mushroom Kingdom." Confronted by the Goombas, the friends have no choice but to battle them. Between Twilight's horn and Mallow's punches, the Goombas soon fell. But then, they confronted two turtles who wear helmets and carry hammers. "Eek!" Mallow shouted. "Hammer Brothers!" The two brothers are ready to strike. "It's HAMMER TIME!" The Hammer Brothers charged into the heroes. Twilight avoided one of them by jumping up. She then landed on that turtle's head. Mallow gave a punch into the other brother. The twin turtles were shocked to see these smaller creatures fight back. They ran away. Twilight saw that they left one of their hammers behind. Using her magic, Twilight picked up the hammer."This could come in handy." The travelers soon spotted the vicious crocodile who stole the coin. Twilight soon jumped the thief. "You have something that doesn't belong to you, Croco!" Twilight said with authority. "Oh yeah?" Croco said. "What are you talking about?" Mallow stepped up to answer him. "The coin you stole from me!" "I remember you. You're that little wimpish tadpole." "I won't be afraid of you anymore. Me and my new friend will take my coin back!" Croco soon got into a battle stance. "Try and take it!" Croco soon charged into the heroes. Twilight jumped up as Mallow protected himself. At that moment, Twilight pounced on his head. This made Croco angry. He soon charged again, and struck them again. "I'll help us, Twilight." Mallow said. "Health Rain!" Mallow made a rainfall appear to heal them. Croco was annoyed with this rain. Meanwhile, Twilight took out the hammer she obtained, and hit him on the head. As Croco recovered, he realized what Twilight was. "A horn AND wings?" Croco gasped. "Must be one of them alicorn critters." He soon took out a big green coin and tossed it at them. "Here's your coin back. I'm getting out of here!" Croco ran away fast. Mallow picked up his coin and jumped happily. "I have my coin back. Thank you, Twilight." "You're welcome, Mallow." Twilight said. "I'm glad to be helpful." The friends hugged each other. Then, Twilight got Mallow's attention. "Let's head back to Canterlot. The princesses must be worried." As soon as they enter Canterlot, however, they see the place crawling with masked red creatures on pogo sticks. And, they are scaring everybody. "What are these things?" Mallow asked. "This is terrible." "I don't know." Twilight answered. "We better head for the castle and see what's going on." Twilight and Mallow battled their way through the streets of Canterlot. They fight through waves of these ghostly creatures. The many ponies are grateful for what the noble pair is doing. When they reached the castle, they make their way to the throne room. But, they see Celestia and Luna bound and helpless with their magic surpressed. In front of them is a small helmet creature riding a miniature version of the giant sword. "I am Claymorton." The creature said. "I claim this castle and all of Canterlot in the name of the Smithy Gang!" "We don't take kindly to invaders anywhere in Equestria." Twilight Sparkle said with authority. "Even from those not of this world." "Oh yeah, Princess Twilight Sparkle? Let's see you stop me!" Using it's sword like a pogo stick, Claymorton hopped up and pounced on the heroes. As they recover, Twilight's necklace started to glow. "When this necklace Luna gave me starts to glow," Twilight realized, "I can call one of my friends." She then shouts in the air. "Applejack, I need your help!" Like magic, Applejack appeared to help in the battle. "I'm here to help, Twi." Applejack said as she turns to Claymorton. “Time for you to meet Bucky Migillicuddy and Kicks McGee!" Applejack gave a hard back kick to Claymorton. Applejack soon disappeared while the Smitty fiend is recovering. "It's my turn." Mallow said. "Thunderbolt!" Mallow made some electricity appear and strike at Claymorton. "NO!" Claymorton shouted. "I can't move!" "It's time for my NEW move." Twilight said proudly. "Fireball!" Twilight fired a bunch of fireballs out of her horn and struck Claymorton. The evil sword riding thug soon was defeated. This defeat freed Celestia and Luna from their imprisonment. Suddenly, something came from behind Celestia's throne. A bright blue star came out. Everyone looked at this star with amazement. Then, it shot up to the sky. "I didn't know you had a star behind your throne." Twilight said. "I didn't." Celestia replied. "That Claymorton creature brought it with him when he came to our castle." "Perhaps this star is connected to that sword that's stuck in our old castle." Luna figured. "You think so?" Twilight asked. "I do. This Smithy Gang you speak of are worse than the Changelings were. And, that's being nice." "If we only knew more about the Smithy Gang." Celestia said. "Then, we can connect them to this star that went up into the sky." Even Twilight was a little confused. Mallow then made an idea. "Maybe my grandfather might know. He's a very wise frog." "That's a good idea." Twilight cheered. "He might shed some light on this mystery." "Grandpa lives in an area called Tadpole Pond. It's in a forest area outside Canterlot." "Twilight," Celestia said, "it's up to you and Mallow to unravel this situation." "We need to know more about this Smithy Gang before they cause anymore trouble." Luna added. Knowing their duty, Twilight Sparkle and Mallow head out to find some more information about this adventure they're in. Will Mallow's grandfather be helpful? They hope so. //-------------------------------------------------------// 3. Mallow Learns a Harsh Truth //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Mallow learns something shocking about himself. 3. Mallow Learns a Harsh Truth Getting information from Mallow, Twilight learns that her next stop is Tadpole Pond. They hope that Mallo's grandfather can help them to learn about the Smithy Gang and the star that went to the sky. On the grounds of Canterlot City, the two heroes find themselves in front of a pipe. "This pipe leads to the Kero Sewers." Mallow said. "It's the only way to get to Tadpole Pond." "A sewer?" Twilight gasped. "My elegant friend, Rarity, wouldn't go near a sewer. But, let's go anyway." The two heroes went down the pipe into the sewers. It doesn't look so dingy. And, the waters look clear. Twilight looks into the water, and sees a bunch of red fish swimming in it. "Those are Cheep Cheeps." Twilight noticed. "I guess a lot of creatures from the Mushroom Kingdom are here in Equestria." As they continue their travels in the sewers, they see a bunch of rats running around. "Yuk!" Mallow groaned. "Rat Funks!' The travelers make their way through the sewers, battling these creatures along the way. They even battle Ghost like creatures called Boos. Soon, they see a green switch. After Twilight hopped on the switch, the water below them started to drain. "Look at that." Mallow said happily. "That will take care of those Cheep Cheeps." Twilight noticed something on the area where the water was. "Look. There's a warp pipe. Let's see where it goes." As they went down the pipe, they continue their travels. That's when they see a large yellow and red dog like creature. "My name is Belome." The creature said. "If you want to continue through the sewers, you'll have to deal with me!" "Better be careful, Mallow." Twilight advised. "This doggy looks hungry." "Let him eat this!" Mallow said with determination. "Thunderbolt!" Mallow strikes Belome down with lightning. This got Belome hit badly. Suddenly, Belome opened it's mouth and encased Mallow whole. "NO!" Twilight gasped. She sees her friend struggling in Belome's mouth. "Time to try my newest move. SUPER JUMP!" Jumping high, Twilight gave a big hit to Belome, causing it to spit Mallow out. "Yipe!" Mallow gasped. "It was scary in there." Belome got very upset. "You made me lose my lunch!" Twilight saw her necklace glow. That means that she can call for one of my friends. "Fluttershy, help us!" Like magic, Fluttershy appeared and saw this situation. "Nobody hurts my friends." Fluttershy said with authority. "Time for my special ability!" Fluttershy gave Belome her stare. The creature felt fear as Fluttershy vanished. Combining the Super Jump and Thunderbolt, Twilight and Mallow defeated the vicious dog. "That'll teach you a lesson, bad doggie!" Twilight said. "Oh yeah?" Belome said as it steps on a green switch. "Try to survive a massive flood. So long, suckers!" As Belome runs off, Twilight and Mallow sees a gate rising. They then here something from behind it. "I hear something." Mallow said. "Me too." Twilight replied. "It sounds like...." Twilight then starts to panic. "WATER!!!" At that moment, a wave of water gushed out and pushed the two friends through the sewers. They soon we're washed out of the sewers and outside a mountain. Mallow was riding on Twilight's back as she flapped her beautiful wings. "Wow!" Mallow said. "What a trip." "At least we're out of those sewers." Twilight said. "Hold on tight. I'm floating down the mountain." Twilight slowly descended down the mountain. Along the way, she and Mallow started to gather coins. When they made their way down the mountains, they find themselves on a big barrel. Then, it started to roll along the river. "I think even Fluttershy wouldn't resist this ride." Twilight said. "This is fun. I like it." "Me too." Mallow added. "Hopefully we won't hit any snags when this ride is over." The barrel soon stops at the end of the river. Getting off the barrel, Twilight and Mallow got a chance to rest up. Mallow then sees something that got him excited. "I see it!" "What do you see?" Twilight asked. "Tadpole Pond. Now, we can see my grandpa." "That's good news indeed. Now, we can get some answers to this whole ordeal." Twilight and Mallow went from the river and stopped what looks like a beautiful pond. In the water, they see some fish swimming around. "This place looks peaceful." Twilight said. "Fluttershy would feel at home." At that moment, an elderly looking frog was floating on the hook of a Lakitu. Then, he sees Mallow. "Mallow! Is that you?" "Grandpa!" Mallow cheered. "It's me, all right." "I see you are joined by the Princess of Friendship: Twilight Sparkle." "Pleasure to meet you, sir." Twilight replied. The old frog raises his staff. "Tadpoles, make a path for our visitors to cross." A group of tadpoles lined up for Twilight and Mallow to cross. Soon, they talk with this critter, known as the Frog Sage. "My friends," the Frog Sage said, "these fiends of the Smithy Gang are making trouble all over. I fear all of Equestria is in danger." "Don't we know it." Twilight said. "We fought one of them. Claymorton." "This Claymorton is only the first of these fiends. There are still more of them scattered. Only when they're all gone, will the giant sword at the Castle of the Two Sisters be gone." Twilight remembers something. "Me and the rest of the Mane Six went there to save our friend, Megan, from Queen Chrysalis." The Frog Sage got intrigued. "Chrysalis is the former queen of the Changelings. Right?" "Yes, sir." "After the sword dug into the castle, Chrysalis flew off. And, Megan went into hiding as well. I'm sure you'll find them during your journey." "We won't let you down, Grandpa." Mallow said. The Frog Sage soon made a sad confession. "There's something you should know, Mallow. I'm not really your grandfather." This shocked Mallow a lot. "What?!" "You see, many years ago, a basket came to our pind with a little white puffy baby floated here. This basket reads, Please take care of Mallow. He needs somebody to protect him. So, I took the baby in. And, took care of him like he was my grandson." "And, that baby was me?" "That's correct, my lad. I'm sorry for deceiving you like this." Mallow started to cry. Twilight comforted him. "I'm sorry, Mallow." "This is...so much to....take in." Mallow sadly said. He soon got himself together. "But, if he's right, my parents might still be alive. And hopefully, I will find them and get back together with them." "That's the spirit. Now, let's see if we can find more of the Smithy Gang." "You might want to try the village of Ponyville." The Frog Sage suggested. "That's your home." Mallow realized. "Isn't it, Twilight?" "Yes it is, Mallow." Twilight replied. "Let's go." The two adventurers now make their way to Ponyville. What will await them there? Learning a new fact, Mallow is now determined to find his parents. //-------------------------------------------------------// 4. The Star Story //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Twilight and Mallow learn the secret of the Smithy Gang and the stars. 4. The Star Story Twilight and Mallow head over to Ponyville to hopefully learn more about the Smithy Gang and the star they retrieved from Claymorton. But, when they got there, they see that the brightness of the village is dimmed. And, a bunch of arrows are landing on various places. "What happened to Ponyville?" Twilight asked nervously. Soon, Trixie Lulamoon, also known as the Great and Powerful Trixie, rushed in with her wagon in tow. "Am I glad to see you, Twilight." "Trixie!" Twilight said with relief. "What's going on?" "I was just setting up a friendly puppet show here in Ponyville. Starlight Glimmer was helping of course." Starlight popped out of the wagon. "Then, a bunch of creepy arrows came falling from the sky. Some of the ponies got temporarily paralyzed. Everypony ducked back into their homes." "Do you think the Smithy Gang had a hand in that?" Mallow asked. "Smithy Gang? I'm guessing it's Chrysalis wanting revenge!" "I don't think so, Starlight." Twilight interrupted. "Me and my little friend here saw Chrysalis on the pathway to here." Flashback Twilight and Mallow are walking in the woods when they saw Chrysalis looking around nervously. The heroes hid in the bush to watch over her. "This is scary even to me." Chrysalis said to herself. "I need help to figure this out. Even if it's from Princess Celestia." The frightened Changeling then flew off. End of Flashback "So, Chrysalis got nervous from that big sword that fell Into the Castle of Two Sisters." Trixie said. "This Smithy Gang must be bad news." "They sure are." Mallow added. "We fought one of them, and found a glowing blue star." "Let's head for my castle for the night." Twilight suggested. "We'll figure this out in the morning." Starlight and Trixie followed Twilight into her castle for the night. As night came to Ponyville, a star of energy flew across the village and into Trixie's wagon. It landed on one of Trixie's puppets. It had on a blue cap and a raggedy blue cape. Soon, the puppet rose on it's feet. It looked around. Then, it crawled out of the wagon. "My mission awaits." The next morning, Twilight and Mallow are ready to continue their travels when Trixie was at her wagon, looking worried. "Twilight, one of my puppets is gone!" Trixie said. "One of your puppets?" Twilight wondered. "Yes. It's a little wood imp named Geno. I planned to have him as a hero in a story me and Starlight thought of." Then, Spike the Dragon rushed in to deliver some news. "Twilight, some weird looking wood creature exited our village and went through a forest." "My puppet came to life?" Trixie gasped. Suddenly, arrows came back to strike the ground. Twilight used her magic to deflect some of the arrows so nopony gets hit. "I'll bet that puppet knows something we don't." Twilight figured. "Let's go, Mallow." Twilight and Mallow headed for where the puppet went. Trixie watched with concern. "Good luck, Twilight." The two travelers soon followed the trail of the puppet. Twilight notices that Mallow is holding a staff. "Nice looking staff." "It's known as the Frog Staff." Mallow said. "Grandpa gave it to me after I gave him his favorite snack, Cricket Pie. That's why I went to Canterlot." Suddenly, they saw an unusual sight. It was an animated bow with arms and legs. It is joined by living arrows. "More practice, I need." The creature said. "More statues, we create." "We're with you boss!" The arrows replied. Two arrows came to the bow. And, he launched the arrows into the air. "So, he's the one who's been paralyzing everypony in Ponyville." Twilight said quietly. At that moment, one of the arrows hopped back with a glowing green star. "Hey, Boss. Look what I found." "A lovely star, you found." The bow replied. "A grand treasure this is." "Let go of that star!" Said a high pitched male voice. Out popped the little puppet from Trixie's wagon. He addressed the crazy bow. "That star belongs to the Star Road. Who are you to take what's not yours?" "Bowyer, my name." The creature said. "Paralyzing fools my game." Twilight and Mallow watch with concern. "That little guy can't handle this freak by himself." Mallow said quietly. "He won't." Twilight whispered. As the puppet is ready to battle this living bow, Twilight and Mallow show up to join the battle. "Need a little backup?" Twilight asked the puppet. "Princess Twilight Sparkle." The puppet said honorably. "It will be an honor to fight by your side." The creature named Bowyer looked at his opponents. "Three against one I see. Not fair this is." "Who said you fiends like fighting fair." "Your spirits I crush. But, fair this should be. Calling for friends your necklace should not help you with." Having no choice, the trio engage in battle. Bowyer set the stage. "Physical attacks restricted to." With their special magic blocked, the team adjusted. Twilight took out her hammer, and hit Bowyer on the head. Mallow did the same with his Frog Staff. The puppet struck Bowyer with his laser. This got Bowyer scared. "Powerful these attacks are." "No matter what you pull, Bowyer," Twilight said, "we can adjust." Bowyer took one of his arrow soldiers and aimed at our heroes. The scattered to avoid being shot. "Change the rules I will." Bowyer said. "Magic attacks restricted to." The trio had their weapons blocked. But, they still make damage. The puppet steps up. "Geno Blast!" Geno fired a ray from his weapon. Mallow adds to this attack. "Thunderbolt!" Lightning Strick's the animated bow as Twilight makes her move. "Super Jump!" Jumping into the air, Twilight gave a devastating kick. Recovering, Bowyer did the ultimate low move. He blocked all of their attacks. The vicious bow laughed. "Completely helpless you are!" "Now how will we finish him off?" Mallow asked. The puppet sees Twilight's necklace glowed, and made a suggestion. "Twilight, your necklace can do more than summon reinforcements." "What are you talking about?" Twilight asked. "Your necklace can help perform triple moves. Like this: STAR RIDERS!" The puppet made stars appear. Soon, Twilight and Mallow joined him as they gathered the power of the star. And, fired a powerful beam to strike at Bowyer. After that star blast, the evil bow vanished. When the dust settled, the puppet walks over to the star. "Good. The star is safe." The puppet then turned to Twilight and Mallow and gave them an explanation . "I come from a place far in the sky, beyond this world. Me and my people are in charge of a beautiful object called the Star Road. This is the source of all stars and their energy. If anything bad happens to the Star Road, no stars can be made. And, no being can make wishes on shooting stars." "This sounds terrible." Twilight said sadly. "All of Equestria will feel very upset." "Indeed, Twilight Sparkle. That giant sword that's at the castle of the Two Sisters was responsible for crashing onto the Star Road, and scattered seven stars all over your land." "So, that star we found after defeating that creature in Canterlot was one of those stars?" "Yes. And, including this one, we have two of the seven stars." "That's amazing. By the way, what's your name?" "My actual name is unpronounceable. Call me Geno, after this puppet I obtained." "Okay, Geno. With your help, we'll find those remaining stars. Now, let's send this star back to the sky." Twilight, Mallow, and Geno lifted up the star with magic, and sent it up into space. The two glowing stars started to sparkle. "Let's go back to Ponyville." Geno suggested. As the trio retuned to Ponyville, one of the living arrows heard the conversation. "Those stars are more than they appear. I better tell the boss." Meanwhile, in Ponyville, the darkness was lifted, and the village is back to normal. "Well, guys." Twilight said. "Now, we have our mission. Me, Mallow, and Geno are searching for the remaining five stars. Then, the Star Road can be repaired." Trixie looks at Geno with confusion. "Why did you decide to have Geno as your vessel?" "This puppet has potential." Geno answered. "It looks strong." "That's understandable. I did plan to have Geno a powerful warrior." Starlight gives some advice to Twilight. "Better be careful. The Smithy Gang will do anything to stop you." "Starlight is right." Spike added. "If Claymorton and Bowyer were powerful, who knows what else this gang will unleash on you." "Don't worry, Spike." Twilight assured. "Whatever the danger, the three of us will face it together." //-------------------------------------------------------// 5. Mining for Trouble //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note The search for the stars continue. This includes a ride on a mine cart. 5. Mining for Trouble Leaving Ponyville, Twilight and her friends make their way to the Pie Family rock farm. "Is this where Pinkie Pie used to live?" Geno asked. "Yes, it is." Twilight answered. "Maybe her family can tell us if they see any of the stars you seek." At that moment, Limestone Pie and Marble Pie saw the team, and greeted them. "Twilight!" Limestone shouted with glee. "Good to see you." "Hello, Limestone." Twilight replied. "Everything okay here?" "Uh huh." Marble answered. "Pinkie was hiding here when Ponyville went dark." "Now, she zipped back there." Limestone added. "It's like something lifted the shadows there." "We found the source of the darkness." Geno said. "And, I found a piece of Star Road." Twilight and her companions explained the story to the Pie Family. "Sounds like you folks are having quite the adventure." Igneous Rock Pie said. "Indeed." Twilight said. " Now, we are searching for more of these stars." "I thought I saw some energy from the sky land on our neighbors in Moleville." Cloudy Quartz informed. "Does that help?" "That is a great help." Mallow said happily. "Thank you, folks." Twilight said. "We'll head for Moleville right now." Twilight and her friends head out. Limestone calls out to them. "Good luck, you guys." The crew headed for an area near the rock farm. It was a decent village with mole people. Soon, they saw some female moles outside an entrance. "Something wrong?" Twilight asked. "There is something wrong." One of the women said. "The inkeeper's daughter Dyna, and her baby brother Mite, have wondered into the mine. He and his wife are worried." "Come on, you two. Let's find those children." Mallow and Geno nodded and followed Twilight into the mine. As they wondered about, they were suddenly ambushed by shadowy figures. When they recovered, they see someone Twilight and Mallow met before. "Croco!" Twilight said angrily. "When did you come back?" "Quiet, Alicorn!" Croco replied. "We got all of your coins. Come and get us!" Croco and his gang ran off. Twilight and her friends pursued them. As they battled the shady creeps, they received Flower Tabs which added Flower Power for stronger spells. Croco walks calmly, knowing he's safe. At that moment, Twilight and company ambushed him. "You won't get away with stealing our coins." Geno demanded. "Well, how about," Croc told them, "stealing your items!" He stole their mushrooms, honey, Pick me up juice, and so on. "Oh no!" Mallow said. "How will we survive the battle now?" "By working together!" Twilight replied. "Let's do this!" The three heroes attacked the thieving crocodile. Soon, they unleashed special abilities. Geno's energizing blast, Mallow's Thunderbolt, and Twilight's recently learned Super Jump. But, it's their triple move, the star rider, that delivered the final blow. "You three are stronger than ever." Croco admitted. "You can have your items and coins back." After giving the trio their stuff back, Croco left the scene. Now, Twilight and her friends can find the missing children. They soon found a mole worker at a dead end. "If I had a bomb with me," The mole said, "I can blow another passage in this place." Geno then had a thought. "Twilight, didn't we get a small bomb after Croco gave us our stuff back?" "Oh yeah." Twilight replied. "Thanks for the reminder, Geno." Twilight pulled out a miniature Bob-Omb. "Here, try this." The mole set the little bomb on the ground. Seconds later, the little bomb blew up, carving up another passage. Twilight turns to her partners. "Let's go find those kids!" Soon they saw an unusual sight. A creepy looking man shaped like a bomb with a bunch of little bombs. "Who's that?" Mallow wondered. "I heard you, little one." The Weirdo answered. "My name is Punchinello. My bomb army shall stop you!" The trio faced off against Punchinello and his army of micro bombs. Mallow stepped up. "I'll deal with these little guys. Thunderbolt!" Mallow's lightning quickly defeated the micro bombs. Then, concentrate on the main foe. "I'm glad we got new weapons." Twilight said as Geno used his Finger Shot. "Like my Super Punch!" Twilight soon gave the living bomb some jabs as Mallow steps up. "Yeah. And, these cymbals." Using his cymbals, Mallow crashed Punchinello. "You won't stop me." Punchinello claimed. The fiend summoned regular Bob Oms. After Mallow helped with his Thunderbolt, Geno used his Geno Boost to increase Twilight's power. Feeling enough hits, Punchinello got angry. "Try these on for size!" The living bomb summoned bigger bombs called Mezzo Bombs. But, the heroes gained enough power to do their triple attack: Star Riders. The big bombs were defeated and Punchinello got weakened. "I didn't want to do this." Punchinello said. "But, you forced my hand!" Punchinello called for a super sized bomb, which crushed him instead. Twilight saw the fuse of this super sized bomb fizzling. "Look out! It's going to blow!" The bomb quickly exploded. Fortunately, Twilight and her friends survived. "Wow!" Mallow said. "That was a blast." "I agree." Twilight said. "These bombs can be dangerous." Geno then looked up and saw something glowing bright orange. "Look, there's another piece of the Star Road!" Sure enough, an orange star floated down to the group. They then sent it up into the sky. With three stars found, they're one step closer to complete their mission. They soon heard a kid's voice in the mine. "Sounds like one of the kids we're looking for." Twilight said. They soon saw a young mole with a baby in a back pouch. "Thank goodness you're here." The girl said. "Dyna and Mite, we presume." Geno greeted. "That's us. We need help pushing this mine cart. It's too heavy." "Everybody get on board." Twilight suggested. "I'll get this cart moving." After Mallow, Geno, and the kids boarded the cart, Twilight usedhermagic to push the cart forward, then climbed aboard. It was a wild ride in the mine. The crew controlled the cart through tricky turns. They gathered coins to make up for what Croco did earlier. Soon, the cart shot out of the mine. Twilight attempted to calm the kids down. "Hang on, everypony!" Back in Moleville, the innkeepers started to worry. "I hope Dyna and Mite will be okay." The wife said nervously. "Not to worry." The innkeeper replied. "Twilight Sparkle and her friends will find them." Suddenly, they heard a crash. They saw a mine cart crash through the roof. Out popped the kids. The mother rushed to pull them out. "Thank goodness you're okay." The mother told them. "Why did you wonder into the mine anyway?" "I'm sorry, mommy." Dyna cried. The innkeeper went to the heroes who also got out of the cart. "Thank you, my friends. Dyna and Mite are safe now." "You're welcome." Mallow said. "But, we did damage your roof coming here." "Not to worry. We can have it fixed up in no time.' Twilight was happy things worked out. "Well, Geno. Those kids are safe. And, we found another star." "You're right, Twilight." Geno said proudly. "There are four more to find. Then, our quest is complete." //-------------------------------------------------------// 6. Friends and Foe Work Together //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Twilight Sparkle runs into an unlikely ally as she learned where Megan is located. 6. Friends and Foe Work Together Still in Moleville, Twilight and her friends are figuring out their next move. "With four stars still out there," Twilight said, "the Smithy Gang will be on guard." "Indeed." Geno agreed. Mallow carries out some fireworks. "I don't know why. But, I feel these fireworks might come in handy." "Keep them with you." Twilight suggested. Suddenly, a group of strange creatures ran past them. They were chasing a little beetle. "Come, little beetle." The creatures said. "You will make a splendid wedding gift for master Booster." As they left, Twilight got a little confused. "Who's this Booster character?" One of the moles came to tell them the answer. "Booster is sort of a weird character. There's rumors that he's ready to get married." "Married?" Mallow gasped. "I wonder who's the unfortunate bride." "She's like a charming princess. That beautiful blonde hair wrapped in a pretty red bow." Twilight figured who this princess like girl is. "That's got to be Megan!" "The brave human girl from the days of Ponyland?" Geno asked. "That's her. Last time me and my friends saw her is while battling Chrysalis at the Castle of Two Sisters." "Probably before the Smithy Gang came along." "What are we waiting for?" Mallow said. "Let's go rescue your friend." After stocking up on supplies, the trio left Moleville, and headed for Booster Pass. After about an hour of traveling, they find themselves in front of a tower. "That trip wasn't easy." Mallow said. "But, we found good items and increased our magic power." "You're right, Mallow." Twilight replied. "And, we learned new magic powers." Geno then saw something at the tower. "What's that?!" The crew saw an unusual sight. It was the wayward changeling, Chrysalis. Twilight called out to her. "CHRYSALIS!" Chrysalis turned, and saw who called her. "Princess Twilight! Believe it or not, you're a sight for sore eyes." "I wondered what happened to you." Twilight inquired. "After that giant sword crashed into the castle, I got nervous and ran off. I was looking for anypony to help me. Even if it's you, the princesses or any of your friends." From the top balcony, the missing girl, Megan, was tearing up. But, she heard familiar voice. She looked down and sees Twilight and company. She then called out to them. "Twilight! I'm up here!" Twilight looks up, and sees her. "Megan! She's okay!" Geno looks at the door with concern. "How will we get in? This door is locked." "Stand back, little puppet." Chrysalis said. Using her channeling powers, Chrysalis transformed into a bull, and charged at full speed, ramming the door. The door broke apart as Chrysalis returned to normal. "That was amazing." Mallow gasped. Chrysalis brushed her mane back. "Let's work together to rescue your friend." "You want to join forces with us?" Twilight said with shock. "Yes I do. I feel it's the right thing to do." "Okay, Chrysalis. Welcome to the team." With Chrysalis helping them, the heroes went into the tower. As they look around this area, Twilight explained everything to Chrysalis about their adventure so far. "So, this Smithy Gang has to be stopped by assembling this Star Road." Chrysalis pondered. "That's right." Geno replied. "We found three stars so far. And, we still have four more to find." "Sounds to me like you three had quite an adventure so far." They soon encountered a ball and chain. But, the ball came alive and started to bite. "It's a Chain Chomp!" Twilight gasped. Chrysalis looked at this creature with interest. She then walked over to it. "I'll need some privacy here." Twilight, Mallo, and Geno turned around so not to disturb Chrysalis. A minute later, she returns with the Chain Chomp by her side. "It seems as if this Booster locked up this Chain Chomp in this tower." Chrysalis said. "If you ask me, this character is a wack job!" "Either way, we have to find this Booster guy." Twilight said. "We have to save Megan from this maniac." "Then, I'm taking this critter with me. I have a feeling it might help us in rescuing your friend." The four heroes continue their journey into Booster's Tower. They enemies tried to tackle them. But, the Chain Chomp Chrysalis brought with them was coming quite handy. They soon found a strange person with a raggedy beard. Twilight seed this man. "I'll bet that's Booster." Twilight said. The creepy man turned and sees the group. "Ah, Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship." Booster said. "I was hoping to meet you someday." "Well, we're not impressed with your off beat personality." Twilight protested. "So, how do you and your travel mates like my tower?" "We've seen worse. I saw the environment of Tartarus. Now, where's Megan?!" Booster soon had a thought. "So, that's the name of my future bride." "BRIDE?!" Everybody gasped. "You plan to marry that maiden?" Geno protested. "Correct." Booster said. "Since she fell from the sky, I felt she's an angel." The four travelers took up a battle stance. "Not if we have anything to say about it!" Twilight said. Booster ran off with the foursome following him. They jumped down to the bottom of the tower. "Where is that guy?" Mallow asked. Geno saw something on the distance. "Look, there he is!" The group spotted Booster riding a cart with Megan in the back. She was tied up so she doesn't escape. "Twilight!" Megan called out. "Help me!" "Hang on, Megan!" Twilight replied. "We're coming!" Mallow hopped on Twilight as Geno rode on Chrysalis. The two winged ponies took off. Booster saw his pursuers and got nervous. "You won't get away now, creep!" Megan said. "Twilight and her friends will rescue me." "Never!" Booster said. "Nobody must disrupt our wedding. We're going to have a lovely life together." "Yuk! I rather shovel cow poop." Twilight and company continued to pursue Booster. They avoided the blasts from his Spitsters to keep up with their target. But, Booster got ahead of them fast. After landing, Twilight and her friends wondered where Booster went. "Look." Mallow said. "This sign says that this road leads to a village named Marrymore." "Sounds like a good place for a wedding." Chrysalis figured. Twilight directed her crew. "It's time for us to crash this wedding!" Twilight, Mallow, Geno, and Chrysalis head for Marrymore to rescue Megan from being married to the wacko Booster. Will they be able to succeed? We'll find out in our next episode. //-------------------------------------------------------// 7. Wedding Bells (or should I say 'Blues') //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Twilight and her friends act as wedding crashers to rescue Megan from a forced wedding. 7. Wedding Bells (or should I say 'Blues') The group arrived at the village of Marrymore. After chasing Booster throughout the countryside, they came to this village with an impressive church as it's centerpiece. "This place is very nice." Geno said. "Too bad we have no time for sight seeing." "Geno's right." Twilight added. "We have to save Megan from being married to that maniac." I still can't believe I'm helping Princess Twilight. Chrysalis thought. And somehow, It doesn't feel that bad. The group saw a group of mushroom people very upset. Mallow went up to the group. "What's the matter?" "My lovely lady and I were ready to get married in this church." A mushroom male informed. "But then, this freaky man with raggedy beard pushed us away so he can have his own wedding." The bride added while sobbing. "This is terrible." "Did this freaky man have a young lady with blond hair which is tied with a red bow?" Twilight asked. "As a matter of fact, yes," The group got scared. Twilight is now more determined. "We've got to crash this wedding and save Megan." "But how?" Geno asked. "From what these people told us, these Sniffets won't let anybody in." "There must be another way in. Let's start looking." Twilight and her friends looked around the church. Mallow sees something on the side of the building. "Hey, you guys." Mallow calls out. "I found it!" Twilight, Geno, and Chrysalis went to Mallow and found a side door. "Good work, Mallow." Twilight praised. "Follow me, guys." Everybody quietly followed Twilight through the side door. They are amazed at the sight of this place. "It's beautiful." Geno said. "Once Booster is ejected, that couple will be glad to return here." Twilight noticed tears coming from Chrysalis. She was shocked. "Chrysalis, are you crying?" Chrysalis turned to her unlikely ally. "I guess I'm feeling a little sorrow, Twilight. I'm starting to regret trying to ruin your brother's wedding to Cadence." Chrysalis felt bad for that misdeed? I guess being with me is starting to change her perspective. Meanwhile, inside the alter, Booster walks out wearing a tuxedo while Megan is forced into a wedding dress. She started crying, fearing that she'll never see Twilight and any of her friends again. "No need to cry, my dear." Booster said with confidence. "When all is said and done, we will be happy together forever." "If only Twilight Sparkle is here." Megan sobbed. "She'd get me out of this mess." "Sorry the Princess of Friendship couldn't attend. But, I'll show her pictures of our honeymoon." Suddenly, a Sniffet barges into the alter. "Hey, boss! We have a problem." "How dare you interrupt my great moment!" Booster protested. "You better have a good reason to disrupt my wedding." "It's that peaky alicorn!" The Sniffet reported. "She and her rag tag group are heading this way." At that moment, Twilight and her friends came into the alter to confront Booster and his Sniffets. "No wedding bells for you, Booster!" Twilight said with authority. "Let Megan go!" "Give up my beautiful bride?" Booster gasped. "Isn't that a little hasty?" "I'd do as she says if I were you." Megan said. "This is one pony you don't want to mess with her." "And, I know that fact from experience." Chrysalis added. Megan was shocked to see her kidnapper joining Twilight. "Chrysalis? What are you doing here?" "I came to Booster's little hideout because I heard you were there. I was fortune that Twilight showed up and offered me to help her." Booster's eyes widened. "Chrysalis? The fearsome Changeling?" "I didn't know I was known even to creeps like him." Chrysalis said with shock. "I guess your reputation is known by other creatures besides ponies." Mallow figured. A group of Sniffets showed up to block the group. "You will not disrupt our leader's wedding." The lead Sniffet said. Mallow sees Twilight's necklace glow. "Twilight, I think it's time for a triple move." "I have a new triple move we can use." Geno said. "I call it the Shooting Star Shot. Twilight, Chrysalis, the three of us should pull that off." The two ponies nodded. Chrysalis lifted up Twilight and Geno and tossed them in the air. Geno started blasting the army of Sniffets. They were all shot down as Twilight floated down. This shocked Booster a lot. "That's some teamwork." Booster admitted. "Princess Twilight, this maiden shall return to you." Megan cheered as she ran back to Twilight. As she hugs her friend, one of the Sniffets was upset. "What'll we do with that wedding cake we made?" "There was a couple who were about to get married before we showed up." Booster realized. "Let's save it for them." The Sniffets cheered, knowing that their cake won't be wasted. "Come on, everypony." Twilight said. "Let's go back to Canterlot." As the group leaves the church, Booster watches them, and has a thought. I think I'll stick around. Maybe I'll learn what a wedding is really all about. Later, Twilight and her friends were back in Canterlot, talking to the princesses. "This story you tell us is deeper than we thought." Celestia said. "I agree." Luna said. "A world without wishes and dreams is a frightening thought." "Which is why we are now looking for the stars to rebuild the Star Road." Geno said. "And, along the way," Mallow added. "I'll be able to find my real parents." Megan comes out wearing her pink and blue outfit. "Good thing those Snippets took care of this outfit. They're good at somethimg." Celestia then turns to Chrysalis. "We are all surprised that you're joining them, Chrysalis." "I feel that I should help in some way." Chrysalis informed. "The Smithy Gang are more dangerous than me or any other villain of Equestria." "That's true. Claymorton is one vicious little monster." Everyone agreed. Later that night, Megan dressed in a short sleeved blue nightgown, ready for bed. She looks out the window, and is getting over her experience with Booster. And, she thought about this big mission Twilight and her friends are involved in. "From what Twilight said," Megan said to herself, "she is helping Geno to find the seven stars of the Star Road. And, they found three so far. With four more to find, this Smithy Gang is going to get relentless." Megan climbs into bed and starts to think about this. "Even with Chrysalis on her side, Twilight and her new companions will still need more help. That crew saved me. So, I go along with them." The young girl soon drifted off to sleep. In the morning, the search for the stars continues. //-------------------------------------------------------// 8. The Star and the Sea //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note The group of heroes is now up to five as the search for the stars continues. 8. The Star and the Sea Morning came, and TwiIight and her comrades prepared themselves to continue their search for the four remaining stars of the Star Road. Just when Twilight, Mallow, Geno, and Chrysalis were ready to head out, Megan caught up with them. "Megan?!" Twilight gasped. "What are you doing?" "I'm coming with you." Megan explained. "With four stars still out there, you guys can use all the support you need." "But, you don't have a weapon." Geno informed. "Maybe not, Geno. But, I can still help when I can." Chrysalis gave a warm smile. "She does have a point." Everybody nodded as Twilight spoke up. "Now, how will we know where those stars went to?" "Maybe my grandpa at Tadpole Pond might help us." Mallow suggested. "Good idea, Mallow. It's worth a try. Let's go." The group went over to Tadpole Pond and talked to the Frog Sage. "That's the story, Frog Sage." Chrysalis said. "Can you help us find any of the remaining stars?" "This Star Road you speak of is very important to you." Frog Sage replied. "Perhaps I can help you out." "Thank you, sir." Megan said politely. "Try looking at an area called the Starry Hill. It's near the entrance to the area of Cloudsdale." "Starry Hill." Geno hummed. "A good place to find one of the remaining stars. Let's go." The group soon find themselves near a mountain leading to Cloudsdale. There, Megan saw a path with stars on the ground. "Hey, guys. This looks like the way to Starry Hill." "Good spotting, Megan." Twilight praised. "Let's move out." Suddenly, the Wonderbolts lead by Spitfire came into the area. "Hold it, you!" Spitfire said with authority. "Where are you and these others going, Princess Twilight?" "Captain Spitfire," Twilight explained. "we're heading into Starry Hill." "What's your business there, I ask?" "We're looking for a star of the Star Road." Geno explained. "We have three so far." Spitfire soon realized what's going on. "Does this have to do with that Smithy Gang Rainbow Dash told me about?" "That is does." Twilight answered. "We're on a quest to stop these invaders." "It must be a big quest if you have Chrysalis by your side. I guess she hates the Smithy Gang too." "You said it." Chrysalis replied. "In that case, go right ahead." The team of heroes went down the path. Starry Hill is twinkling with stars everywhere. "Wow!" Twilight gasped. "This must be the most beautiful place in Equestria." "Yeah." Megan added. "I need to tell Princess Luna about this place when this adventure is over." The group look around, and battled any creatures that cross them. Chrysalis soon saw some sparkly and purple. She then called to one of the group. "Geno! I think I see star number four!" Geno ran over to see what Chrysalis saw. "It IS a piece of the Star Road. Good spotting, Chrysalis." Chrysalis blushed, knowing she's being praised for being of help. The group got together to gather the energy. Then, sent the star in the sky. Now, there are four stars shining in the sky. "Now, we have four stars in the Star Road." Geno announced. "But, we need three more for the Star Road to be complete." Chrysalis soon felt something happening. All of the holes on her body started to close up. Megan looked at this, and is shocked. "Wow! You're starting to change." "I guess with each star we find," Chrysalis said, "I'm starting to heal little by little. Now, where to go next?" "I thought I saw a village near the ocean when we came to the mountain." Twilight said. "Let's see if we can learn something there." The noble crew make their way to a location called Seaside Town. But, when they arrived, they noticed that it's empty. That's when they noticed that nobody is coming out. "I wonder why these people don't want to help us." Mallow said. "From what I've learned," Chrysalis answered, "a vicious pirate started terrorizing these folks." "A pirate?" Megan gasped. "Sounds like he's as mean as Captain Hook." "Well, Megan. We're not talking Captain Jack Sparrow, here." Soon, an old man's voice is heard. "Princess Twilight Sparkle. Over here!" They soon saw an elderly mushroom waving to them. Twilight and company met the old timer in his house. "I am the elder if Seaside Town." The man said. "I saw a bright star crash into a pirate, and sunk it. Even so, this pirate continues to torture this town." Everybody feels bad for these people. Even Chrysalis felt sorrow. "To think, I would love seeing anypony suffer. Now, I don't like this set up." "We need to find this sunken ship." Geno suggested. "If the elder is right, star number five is down there." Twilight nods her head. "Let's go." After leaving the village, the crew finds a cave and goes in. As they explore, they encountered many sea creatures. A jellyfish tries to attack. But, wearing gloves, Megan slapped that beast while Twilight finished it off with a powerful hammer. "Good touch with those gloves, Megan." Twilight said. "Thanks." Megan replied. "This will make sure nothing happens to my hands." The heroes funds a cave under the water. They dive in and slowly make their way to another area of the cave. After coming back to the surface, Twilight and her friends exited a cave. Mallow sees something in the water. "I think I see the Sunken Ship." Everybody looked down, and saw the wreckage. "Good eyes, Mallow." Megan said. "There's where we have to go." The heroic crew went into the water and swam up to a pipe. They went down the pipe, and came out again. They find themselves inside the ship. And, there's no water inside. "I can't believe that we're in a sunken ship." Mallow said. "And, there are no leaks." "In the land of Equestria," Chrysalis explained, "anything is possible." Twilight soon got the team ready. "Let's find that fifth star." As they began their tour of the sunken ship, they have some thoughts. Will they find the fifth piece of Star Road? And, will they meet the pirate who's causing trouble in Seaside Town? The answers lie ahead in our next exciting episode. //-------------------------------------------------------// 9. Tangling with Sharks //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Twilight and her friends star exploring the sunken ship, searching for the fifth star. 9. Tangling with Sharks The crew explored the sunken ship. They hope to find clues to the fifth star Geno is looking for. They see a note that talks of a password to enter another room. Soon, they find themselves in another area of the ship. "We need to get into these rooms." Twilight said. "These rooms have puzzles that will give us clues to that password." "But first," Chrysalis added, "we need to defeat these monsters guarding the doors." "She's right." Megan said, putting on her gloves. "Let's rumble!" The group battled their way to the puzzle rooms. Each one is unique. Following coins to the end of the path, setting off cannons, finding away up to the top choice f a stack of crates, each room is not easy. Eventually, they found scrolls with clues to the password. They soon found themselves under chests with a J on each of them. "What is this?" Geno asked. They then heard a voice coming from a pipe. "Greetings, travelers. I assume you found the clues to the password." "Yes, we have." Twilight answered. "Good. All you have to do is arrange letters in order so you can spell out the password. Good luck." Everybody looked at the chests with confusion. Megan decided to jump under one of the chests. The letter changed from A to E. Megan jumped again, and the letter became a P. Her eyes lit up. "I got it!" "You have an idea, Megan?" Twilight asked. "The clues say that there are two vowels, they are found in the sea, and women love them. I think I know what the password is." Megan jumped on the bottom of the chests, changing letters until they spell out P-E-A-R-L-S. Twilight is surprised. "Of course. The password is PEARLS." "Makes sense." Chrysalis said. "Pearls are often found in the sea." The doors open, and the crew walk in. They find themselves in a room with holes in the floor. Suddenly, two tentacles came out. "There must me a giant squid in here." Mallow said. "I think we need to get through waves of this squid to battle the main body." Geno figured. Everybody nodded as Twilight gave the command. "Let's move out!" Twilight, Mallow, and Geno went ahead to battle the first two tentacles. Twilight brought a super strong hamer. Mallow hpwas given strong gloves to pummel the tentacles. And, Geno has a new powerful blaster. The trio made work of those tentacles. The crew moved on and encountered two more tentacles. Twilight and Geno had Chrysalis join them. Chrysalis has her chain chomp help her. The three warriors made short work of them. Next up, two more tentacles and the head of the squid. Twilight unleashed a new move, Super Fireball, on the head. This weakened the squid. One they defeated the tentacles, Chrysalis has an idea. "Geno, move aside." Chrysalis advised. "I have an idea. But, Twilight and I need Megan for this." Geno stepped aside. Megan joined the fight. Chrysalis used her magic to transform into a shell. Twilight flew up as Megan made a star appear. The star landed on Chrysalis as Twilight did a back kick to the shell. This move hit the head of the squid. After Chrysalis changed back, Twilight gave another fireball hit to the squid. The giant creature fell as the door it guarded opened. "Well done, my friends." Geno praised. "Now, let's find that star." Jumping down the hole where the squid was, Twilight and her friends continued exploring the ship. Suddenly, they saw a door in the water. Twilight used her magic so they can breath underwater. Then, they went down a whirlpool. After swimming oast vicious fish, they went through a door. They then jumped back to the surface, only to be jumped by humanoid sharks. "Hold it there, intruders." One of the sharks said. "Who are you guys?" Mallow asked. "We are soldiers of our captain: Johnny!" Twilight stepped up in front. "Tell this Johnny character that we don't scare so easily." Twilight fired a bolt from her horn, and scattered the sharks. "Run!" Another shark said. "This strange pony is too powerful for us!" The sharks ran. Megan then spoke up. "Follow those sharks!" The heroes followed the sharks to another room. There, they met a bigger shark wearing a coat and nautical hat. "I be Johnathan Bones!" The big shark said. "Me and me crew took over this sunken ship. Anything in here is mine!" Geno then saw a pink star in on the wall next to the captain of this crew. "That's a star we're looking for." Geno informed. "Hand it over!" "You want this star?" Johnny Bones said. "You'll have to fight us for it." Twilight, Mallow, and Chrysalis stepped up to fight the pirates. Twilight's powerful hammer was powerful. Mallow's punches were spot on. And Chrysalis' Chain Chomp bot in to the fight. With the sharks gone, Johnny Bones was alone. Suddenly, Chrysalis rode on a flying clown head with Twilight and Mallow along for the ride. "I crafted this to honor King Bowser Koopa." Chrysalis said. The weapons fired on Johnny Bones. The big cannon made a lot of damage. "You're a worthy opponent, Princess Sparkle." Johnny Bones said. "How about facing me one on one?" "So be it." Twilight replied. Twilight and Johnny Bones battled each other. The pirate crew and the crew of heroes watched with concern. Johnny charged with his spear. But, Twilight jumped out of the way. She unleashed her Super Fireball on the vicious shark. He soon surrendered. "You have bested me, my dear." Johnny Bones said with honor. "The star is yours." They approached the star. Together, the heroes sent the star in the sky. Now, there are five stars in the air. "Two more to go." Geno said. "Then, the Star Road is completed." Chrysalis soon realized that her coat got a bit lighter. "Oh my. I'm no longer full black anymore. Now, I'm as gray as a cloudy day." "Must be a sign that you are feeling pure friendship." Megan figured. Chrysalis blushed, knowing she's right. The heroes left the ship and returned to Seaside Town. They were greeted by the elder and a few of his men. But, he said something that made our heroes uneasy. "Princess Twilight Sparkle, GIVE US THAT STAR!" //-------------------------------------------------------// 10. The Smithy Gang Strikes Again //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note The heroes get a nasty surprise after returning to Seaside Town. 10. The Smithy Gang Strikes Again Twilight Sparkle and her friends just returned from the sunken ship near Seaside Town. They had a rough time with Konny Bones and his gang of shark pirates. But, Johnny recognized Twilight as a worthy opponent, and handed her the star needed to fix the Star Road. But, as soon as the crew of heroes return to Seaside Town, the Elder and four mushrooms were waiting for them. And, the elder demanns that they give him the star. "Wait a minute!" Twilight said in shock. "We went through a lot of puzzles on that ship. And, we made peace with the captain of the pirate crew. Why do you demand that we give you this star?" "Princess Twilight is right." Geno added. "We need this star to repair the Star Road." "Shut up, sawdust for brains!" The elder said angrily. This shocked the crew deeply. No elder talks mean like that without a reason. "Me and these mushrooms represent the Smithy Gang." The 'Elder' said. "And, we will take that star." "And, if we refuse," Chrysalis said, "then what?" One of the ekder's followers rushed into a big building. Twilight and her friends can hear somebody laughing hysterically. Seconds later, the mushroom returned to the evil group. "Now, unless you want us to give another rough tickling," the 'Elder' demanded, "you will give us that star!" Panicking, Mallow gave up the pink star. "We're sorry, sir Here you are." The elder took the star, and is very happy. "Smithy will be pleased. And, we'll be rewarded. Come on, gang. Our pick up awaits!" The group of evil mushrooms left the stra. Mallow felt bad for doing this deed. Geno .went to comfort him. "Don't feel bad, Mallow." Geno said. "Any of us would do the same." "I guess you're right." Mallow replied. "Now, what'll we do?" "Those crooks couldn't have gone too far." Chrysalis said. "Let's pursue them and get that star back." "Good thinking, Chrysalis." Twilight replied. "Let's get those phonies!" Twilight lead her crew to capture this elder and his followers. In a clearing, the thieving mushrooms are waiting very impatiently. "What's keeping our ride?!" The elder said. "We've got to get out of here before those follish heroes catch up to us." Just as he said that, Twilight and her friends arrived at the scene. "No one to torture now, pal." Megan said. "Give that star back to us!" "Try to take it!" Said the elder. At that moment, a familiar face showed up. "Hello, blokes!" Everybody was surprised to see Johnathan Bones and a few of his shark pirates. "Johnny Bones?" The crooked elder gasped. "That be me, matey." Johnny replied. "That star you have there belongs to Twilight and her friends." Twilight and her friends are pleased that this shark pirates is helping them. "You heard him, whoever you are." Twilight said. "Give that star back to us." "I don't think so." The crook replied. "I have a surprise for all of you. ATTACK FORMATION!" The four mushrooms spin around the elder. All five started to glow and merged together. When the glowing stopped, out came a metal being wearing a red cape and carrying a large spear. "What kind of creature is this?" Geno asked. "I am Speardovich!" The creature said. "I'm a proud member of the Smithy Gang. And, I will keep this star. And, give it to Smithy!" "Not with us stopping you, spear head." Twilight said. "Battle time!" Twilight, Mallow, and Geno step up to stop this living spear. Geno unleashed a good ability. "Geno Boost!" Geno raises Twilight's attack and defense. Using her big hammer, Twilight struck Speardovich. As the evil spear recovers, Mallow unleashed his own move. "Shocker!" A bolt of lightning hit Speardovich for big damage. As he recovered, the trio unleashed a triple move. "STAR RIDERS!' Riding on stars, Twilight, Mallow, and Geno unleashed energy on their foe. "I'm not done yet." Speardovich told them. He unleashed water spours on the three heroes. Megan saw this and rushed in. Suddenly, magic came from her, and healed the trio. The evil spear was shocked. "What was that?" "I was so concerned," Megan said, "I wished I can hug all of you to make you three feel better." "That's a good name for that move." TwilIght said. "Group Hug." Chrysalis unleashed her Chain Chomp on Speardovich. "Twilight, Megan, shall we?" Chrysalis said. Twilight and Megan nodded. Chrysalis transformed into a shell. Twilight kicked the shell as Megan made a star to energize it. The starry shell struck at Speardovich. Seconds later, the evil spear was defeated and Chrysalis changed back to normal. "With that creep gone," Twilight said, "we have our star back." Geno nodded and went to the star. "You are safe now. Please, return to the Star Road." The star went back to the sky. Mallow looked around. "I wonder what happened to Johnny Bones." "Probably went back to the sea." Megan figured. "I'm just glad he's now on our side." Twilight looked at a golden key that's on the ground. "Look what else Speardovich dropped." "I think that's a key to one of the buildings." Chrysalis said. "Probably where that wacko locked up all the people of the village." "I think you're right, Chrysalis. Let's move out." After going back to town, Twilight used the key to open a door to one of the buildings. The real elder and the villagers are happy to see our heroes. "Thank goodness you come." The elder said. "What happened to you?" Twilight asked. "After you all went to look at the Sunken Ship, this weird guy came to our village. Then, he used his spear and magic to force us into the building you found us in." "That creep probably knew we would find the fifth star." Chrysalis said. "And, planned this to seize it." "I think your right, Chrysalis. Now that we are free, we can get back to our regular lives. Thank you all." As the villagers went back to their homes and businesses, Twilight thought about their whole adventure with one thought. "I wonder where we'll find star number six." //-------------------------------------------------------// 11. Heroes at the Land's End //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note The search for the sixth star is underway. 11. Heroes at the Land's End After savong the people of Seaside Town from the Smithy Gang, Twilight and her friends are discussing about where to go next. "We have five stars so far." Geno informed. "We'll need two more to fix star road." "But, we need to hurry." Twilight added. "Smithy will try to take the remaining stars for himself." Megan looks at the map of Equestria. She sees their current location and gives information she heard. "According to the Elder, another of those stars were rumored to be at an area called the Land's End." Geno looks at the map. "Looks like that's near the entrance of the Crystal Empire." "Then, that's where we're going." Twilight said. "Come on." After getting ready, the crew boards the Friendship Express where they stopped at the entrance to the Crystal Empire. Everyone was surprised to see who was waiting for them. "BBBFF!" Twilight gasped. It was indeed Twilight's brother, Prince Shining Armor. Nervous, Chrysalis transformed into a rabbit and hopped behind a tree. "I heard you were on you way here, Twi." Shining said. "Cadence and I heard of your quest for the Seven Stars of the Star Road." "You heard right, Shiny." Twilight replied. "We have five so far." "We heard that star number six is at the Land's End." Megan informed. "You'll see a cliff near here." Shining said. "That's where the Land's End is." Still as a rabbit, Chrysalis is still scared. At that moment, Cadence came by and sees the disguised changeling. "You don't have to be afraid, Chrysalis." Cadence said. "Shining Armor and I heard you've been Twilight on this mission." Calming down a little, Chrysalis changed back to her normal self. "Sorry, Cadence." Chrysalis said nervously. "I was afraid that you and Shining Armor are still upset after all the trouble I caused. Especially holding you and the others in my former hive." "True. We still have nightmares about that. But, I see you've been redeeming yourself well during this quest." Shining Armor came into the conversation. "She's right. You're determination is what's helping you learn about friendship." This made Chrysalis feel much better. Soon, she rejoins Twilight and her friends. "Where did you go, Chrysalis?" Mallow asked. "Sorry, friends." Chrysalis replied. "I was afraid that Cadence and Shining Armor are still mad at me." "The way your starting to look," Megan said, "all the nightmares of the past won't matter be ause of what's going on today." Celestia realizes that Megan is right. Little by little, she's starting to accept friendship. "Come on, everypony." Twilight said. "Off to the Land's End!" Saying goodbye to Shining and Cadence, the crew went off. They soon found themselves at a cliff area. "Wow!" Mallow gasped. "These cliffs are massive." "Trying to find the sixth star won't be easy." Geno said. "But, we can accomplish anything if we work together." The crew of heroes started to explore the cliffs. They even boarded cannons to go to other areas of the cliff. Twilight fell into a hole and unleashed creepy dogs. The heroes made short work of the dogs, and continued. Soon, they encountered a mouse wearing glasses. "Well well well. Visitors." The mouse said Twilight looked at this mouse. "We heard that there's a star here at Land's End. Is that true?" "That's what they say. I come from a hidden village named Monstro Town. They might help you in finding the star." "And, how will be find this Monstro Town?" Chrysalis asked. The mouse gives them information. If you see spinning sand pits, metallized ant creatures pop out. If they see you close to them, they sink in the ground. Follow them." "Thank you, Mouser." Twilight said. The crew look around the sands on the Land's End. They soon spotted spinning pits forming. A metal ant roams the pit. Twilight comes up to the ant. It got nervous, and sinks quickly. Twilight got everybody's attention. "Follow that ant!" The heroes followed the creature down the pits. Soon, they found themselves in an underground area. A small purple hooded creature greeted them. "Welcome to Belome Temple. It's here where the mighty Belome is tributed." "Belome?" Mallow gasped. "Wasn't it that freaky looking dog we faced before?" "It is." Twilight. "I'll bet he'll be surprised to see us again." As our heroes explore this underground area, Twilight and Mallow started to get nervous. "How nasty is this dog?" Megan asked. "Very nasty." Mallow answered. "He even tried to swallow me." "Yipe! Talk about a nightmare." "You said it." After taking an elevator to a lower area, the crew find themselves face to face with a creature Twilight and Mallow met before. "The alicorn and the white thing." Belone said. "We meet again." "We do indeed, Belome." Twilight said. "And, we have friends." Belome sees Geno, Megan, and Chrysalis. It's not too impressed. "I wonder how any of you taste." Before anybody can do anything, Belome got a hold of Geno, and swallowed him. "GENO!" They said in unison. "Too dry for me." Belome said. The vicious dog spit Geno out. The puppet warrior was shaky. "Now I know why Mallow was nervous." Belome then did something else. It spit out a Geno clone. "It can make copies of what it spots out too?" Mallow gasped. "Never mind that." Twilight said. "Let's take it down!" Geno used his Geno boost on Megan to boost her attack and defense. Putting on her gloves, Megan gave a big slap to Belome. "Stand back, Megan!" Twilight called out. Megan ran off just as Twilight delivered vered a Super Jump. Belome was recovering when Mallow unleashed a surprise. "Remember my Thunderbolt attack?" Mallow said to the vicious dog. "Here's an upgrade. SHOCKER!" Mallow unleashed a giant bolt if lightning in Belome. The golden beast started to shake. "Not again." Belome soon disappeared. So did the Geno clone.mA switch appeared on the floor as Chrysalis stepped on it. A gate rose up, allowing the crew to step through. They found a spring that let them bounce up to an upper level. There, they see a bunch of doors. "This must be Monstro Town." Chrysalis said. "Let's see if anypony here knows of the star we're looking for." But, would anybody know of the location of the piece of the Star Road? We'll find out in our next episode.
