This story is old and probably not very good.

This is a side story to Sanctioned Necromancy. The events here occur long before that story begins though, and it is not neccessary to have read it to enjoy this one.

Say someone you love dies for you. Their life is snuffed out because you weren't good enough, and you have the power to save them. To bring them back from the dead.

There is also a terrible price to pay to pull them back from the threshold. Not one that affects you, but them; and all of this can only be attempted at great risk to not only your soul, but many others as well.

Could you let them go? Could you cast aside your selfish desire to let them slip into the unknown abyss, knowing that as long as you live, you would never see them again?
