I groaned as I came to; God, what happened? Where was I? Without opening my eyes, I reached out my arms and felt around. I was on my back, and something lumpy and scratchy-most likely my bag-was beside me. Rolling on to my stomach, I opened my eyes, carefully pushed myself up and got into a sitting position. I looked around, brushing away the few dirty blond hairs that filtered into my vision.
Oh, I should probably introduce myself to, well, whoever is reading this. My name is Micheal James Robinson. I am a fan of the cartoon My Little Pony. Not just the Friendship is Magic arc, but basically all of the cartoons that were made over the years. I'm 17 years old, and I bring the phrase 'dumb blond' to shame.
Anyways, as I looked around the grassy landscape, everything seemed...cartoony, for lack of a better word. I looked down at myself. Oh, great, I looked cartoony too. I tugged my bag over to myself, and zipped it open. Shoving my hand in, and I felt around until I felt something smooth. Yes! It was my phone/music player. Flipping it on, I looked at the screen, disappointment filling me when I realized it wouldn't have a signal. Oh, well. I put on 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. It was a song that I had listened to all my life, and I had even learned how to play the ukelele just to play this one specific time. As the soothing, simple strumming began, I put my phone in my shirt pocket, zipped my bag shut and slung it over my shoulder. A few miles ahead, was a small cottage, with a small stream next to it and many flowers and animals around it. Some ways away from from was a dark-lit, dense forest.
As I walked to the little cottage under the beating sun, some birds and other little animals and started to follow me. Perhaps out of curiosity, or because of the calming aura of the song. The birds above me started to tweet the rhythm of the song, and one or two of them even perched on my shoulder and head. Small squirrels and chipmunks played around my legs, entranced by the gentle melody.
It took about 5 minutes to get there, and as I neared it, I reached into my shirt pocket and turned the phone off as the song ended, and I crossed the bridge of the stream. I stepped onto the welcome mat, and knocked the door. A familiar, soft-sounding voice called, "Coming!" ...Holy crap, I think that might've been Fluttershy.
I didn't have the time to pinch myself before the two-parted door opened.
Oh, yes, it was definitely Fluttershy. Her hair was slightly shorter than it was in the show, she had a daisy woven into the part near her ears, but it was her. I also noticed that her stomach bulged slightly. That was kinda weird. Once she saw my face, she gasped in shock, recognition and surprise registering in her turquoise eyes. She backed away, eyes widened. "You're back?" She asked me in disbelief. I opened my mouth, but I couldn't talk over the shock that I was actually in Equestria. Another voice, sounding pish-posh, called, "'Shy? Darling, what's wrong?" Oh dear, sweet, merciful Jesus. It was Rarity.
The white-furred fashionista trotted into view, and, like Fluttershy, had gotten a makeover. Her indigo mane was in a whole different style. She gasped, stumbling backwards when she saw me. "Micheal? Darling, is that you? You seem younger."
This was all too much for me to process, so I did the most logical thing.
I tossed my bag to the side and fainted, toppling down in front of Fluttershy and Rarity.
As I woke up, I had a pounding headache and there was something cold pressed against it. As I was delirious from the fall, I mumbled, "M-Mom? I had this...weird dream..." My mouth twitched downwards when I heard a small giggle and I opened my eyes, blinking to get rid of the fuzzy vision that I was greeted with. When it was cleared, I was shocked to see the Mane Six, plus a male Trixie.
Wait a minute, back up. Male Trixie?
I glanced at the apparently-stallion unicorn. "...Why are you a stallion, Trixie? You're a mare on th-you're a mare." 'Not the best save, but it'll do.' I thought.
Trixie The Stallion frowned at me and said in a very-male voice, "It's Trixter. You should know, Micheal. You helped me to finally be a stallion." He seemed more offended then sad at the subject. All of the possibly-future Mane Six started to talk.
"How could you just jump into that blue box and wave goodbye?" Twilight protested.
"We missed you, Mikey! You were a real meanie-pants!" Pinkie cried.
I struggled onto a sitting position, and when I did, I held up my hands as a sign to stop the rabble. Before I did this, I took a moment to look at some of the ponies.
Twilight, surprise, surprise, was not an Alicorn. I assumed she used some kinda spell to make her a regular unicorn again. Her bookworm-mane was slightly rounded, now, and it was tied in a loose bun.
Rainbow Dash was fitted in an official Wonderbolt hoodie, and her mane was ever-so slightly spikier in the back and it was slightly shorter. She seemed more stressed than in the show.
Rarity's hairstyle was even more elegant than before, and she wore diamond-shaped earrings on her ears.
Pinkie Pie was a little more chubbier, and her bouncy, curly mane was held in a loose ponytail by a safety pin. Why a safety pin? I have no idea.
Fluttershy's mane was slightly shorter, and some of it was held back a flower woven into her mane. Her belly was larger, presumably from being pregnant.
Applejack's hair was now loose, and cut shorter, yet she still retained the stetson she loved so. She also had bags around her eyes from long nights working away at the farm. She had a small bulge, and it appeared that she, too, was pregnant.
Before I finished, I decided to start talking and not be a creeper and stare at them.
"Okay," I said slowly, "Listen for a minute, guys-er, ponies. I woke up this morning in a field, a few miles away from Fluttershy's cottage. I walked there, knocked on the door, and saw two colorful talking ponies. The shock of it made me faint." I took a breath, "Let me just say, for the record, I don't know any of you. Well, on a friendly level."
Pinkie's eyes widened in realization. "So that's why don't have that tattoo on your leg anymore!"
"WHAT!?"
