It has been 200 years since the start of the decline of magic in Equestria. A few years after Twilight Sparkle's coronation, a war spawned in Canterlot, that inevitably saw the complete outlawing of all forms of magic, and eventually, the overthrow of the princesses.

200 years after the start of the decline, a lone unicorn finds herself in a lonely jail cell, after being separated by her mother ten years prior. She has little memory of the outside world. All that she can hope for is that some day, any day, a time may come when magic is no longer outlawed, and Equestria can live united by peace once again, like in the stories told by her grandmother.

Today, however, something happens that breaks the mold, and it just might give her the chance to show her worth, and attempt to reunite Equestria once more!
