Bass Storm is rudely awoken from his dream by his phone ringing. He grumbles to himself, and reaches over to get his phone, but it stops ringing the second before he can answer it. He shouts a loud curse to nopony in particular, but calls back.

When the pony on the other end picks up, the pony says, "Is this Mr. Bass Storm?" Bass Storm says, not happy that he was woken up, "Who are you and what do you want?" The other pony says, "This is Mr. Records, owner of New Time Records. I would like to set up a deal with you, and I am available in about half an hour." Bass Storm is stunned for a moment, then quickly answers, "Of course! I will be there. Any specific things I should bring?" Mr. Records says, "Just bring yourself, nothing more. I assume you know where the office is?" Bass Storm answers, "Of course. I will be there." He begins to get out of bed while Mr. Records says, "Okay then. Goodbye." He then hangs up as Bass Storm starts getting ready.

He starts with his mane and tail, which are an absolutely tangled mess of hair. He then puts on his jacket and heads out.

He flies to the New Time Records office, arriving a few minutes early to make sure he was on time. He tells the receptionist who he is, and she tells him, "Please take a seat. Mr. Records will be with you in a moment." He sits down in one of the uncomfortable chairs sitting next to the wall.
