This gave him an advantage over them; he can see the entire camp, so he can look for good hiding spots, things to use against the Pirates, and also to map out the individual pirates' location. Jason's favorite benefit of the spot was that the Pirates below couldn't see him. He could pick them all off with his powerful suppressed Z93 Sniper Rifle and never get caught. However, he had other plans for the camp. You see, Jason was part of a local tribe known as the Rakyat, who were all jungle warriors who had risen up against the Pirate's cruelty. They were fighting a losing battle. However, that was before Jason arrived on the island. He was originally from Las Pegasus. While he was there, he won a huge amount of money in a gambling session, and decided to put that money to use by taking his friends and two brothers to an island in a secluded part of Equestria. At first, the island was thought to be uninhabited, but Jason and his friends soon found the hard way that they were wrong. After skydiving from a hot air balloon they had rented, the group was ambushed at their landing zone. A group of rough looking and mean ponies had tied them up (they also smelled as if they hadn't bathed in a year, which, judging by their appearances, was probably true) and took them to a slave camp (not the one Jason was currently at, but a similar one). The Pirate's plans were to ransom Jason, his brothers, and his three friends, then once their families' money had arrived on the island, the group was to be sold to other slave drivers in faraway lands. Jason and his older brother had escaped, but his brother was killed just outside the camp by Vaas himself, who was the leader of the Pirates, and Jason was chased off into the jungle without any time to grieve. Anyways, the Rakyat's primary objective was to wrest control of the island from Vaas's cold, dead hooves, but the Pirates had more troops and bigger guns, so the Rakyat became the losing team. After Jason's escape, he was saved by a Rakyat warrior, and after having the Tatau (tattoo that marks a warrior) painted on his left forearm, Jason had gone to work removing the Pirate population from the island. At first it was difficult because of limited weapons, but after time, Jason had built an arsenal of amazing weaponry and extended equipment, which allowed him to fight more effectively. His main battles were fought by taking down outposts, which were large, permanent camps, kinda like bases, that the Pirates used to control the surrounding area. Once liberated, the area around was significantly safer, and the Pirates were one step closer to being destroyed. Jason had heard over a radio of a dead pirate that Vaas was going to that specific slave camp. Now while this was a prime chance to kill Vaas and win the war, this was also a chance to avenge his brother, Grant. He couldn't kill anypony; if they were put on alert, Jason may lose the possibility of killing the Pirate Leader. 5 minutes passed. 10. The convoy hadn't arrived. Jason was on careful lookout for an armored carriage. Nothing, for at least another 30 minutes, but then, way off in the distance, Jason saw a carriage moving steadily down the road. He grabbed the Z93 off his back and tensed up. The carriage stopped. Three pirates got out and let out a small group of about 5 captives. Jason watched through the scope. Another pirate got out and started trotting over to the others, but still no sign of Vaas. "Hurry the fuck up," Jason heard one pirate yell at the one that was still trying to get caught up. If there was anything Jason knew about pirates, it was their excessive use of the word fuck. Another carriage rolled up, and hope surged in Jason's body. Two pirates climbed out, and then Vaas. He strode confidently towards the group of slaves, and whispered into the ear of a Pirate. He looked up in Jason's direction. Did he know Jason was up here? Jason's mind was put to rest as he turned away and trotted to a shanty building. The pirate Vaas had spoken to was talking to a rushpony (an overly insane pirate who just rushes straight at an enemy with literally anything they could get their hooves on), and he looked eager. Jason deemed it unimportant and watched the building Vaas had entered. Nothing interesting was happening. He decided to make his move, but before he could even get up, Jason heard something that filled me with dread. "I know you're up here! Come out wherever you are!" The rushpony that Jason saw earlier was twenty tail-lengths to his right, noisily and carelessly stumbling through bushes and over rocks. "Shit," Jason cursed. Sliding his Z93 into it's holster and silently pulling out his machete, Jason slowly creeped up behind him, very careful not to make the slightest noise. When he was close enough, Jason lunged forward and sunk the machete through the top center of the rushpony's back, and he dropped without even a squeak of surprise or pain. The perfect crime. Averting his attention back to the slave camp, Jason noticed the captives being moved towards a hot air balloon. Cursing his lack of time, he galloped as close as he could get without being detected and ducked behind a building. Jason peeked around a corner and noted the positions of every visible pirate. "I'm so damn bored. Somepony just shoot me already," complained a rough voice, just around the corner. Jason ran around the corner and stopped dead in his tracks. The pirate was a heavy; a pirate that wore an almost impenetrable suit of armor. The Z93 was the only weapon Jason had that could kill one quick enough to prevent detection, but it was too late. It didn't help that the heavy (which was a unicorn) was levitating a very heavy machine gun. "Woah! What the fuck! Sound the alarm!" The heavy shouted in alarm. Jason did the only thing he could think of; rush him with the machete before he opened fire. That LMG would rip Jason to pieces in seconds. The steel blade met the steel helmet of the helmet worn by the heavy, which produced sparks. The heavy jumped back in alarm, providing a big enough distraction for the heavy for Jason to slip the machete through the pirate's exposed throat. Jason yanked it out and drew his P416 assault rifle, and opened fire on the now alerted pirates. The large burst of machine gun fire caused everypony to dive behind cover. Jason took his chance and climbed onto the rooftop of the building Jason was standing by. Using his hight advantage, Jason shot the hiding pirates from above, where they were exposed. Once the area was clear, Jason jumped down and told the hopeful to-be slaves to stay put and find cover. They happily obliged. Now all that's left is Vaas. Jason galloped toward the building Vaas was in. He now had his machete out again, in case of a close range encounter, which was what would probably happen. He ran and bucked down the door, then rushed inside. Vaas was waiting by the door, which Jason hadn't thought of. He slammed Jason in the face with his machete handle. Jason fell, and, ignoring the searing pain that now throbbed in his nose, got back to his hooves. Vaas thought Jason had dropped his machete, which was a mistake. Jason swung and cut Vaas's flank open. Vaas shouted and swung again, but missed. Through the window, Jason glimpsed an RPG pony loading a shot into his launcher. Then a loud bang. Vaas dived away, and the rocket hit the ground three tail-lengths away, sending Jason out the doorway, and into the pond that was at the edge of the camp. Water flooded Jason's nose, ears, and mouth. He tried to swim up, but after being blown up, he was disoriented to the point where he didn't even know which was up. His vision started going dim. Jason was about to lose consciousness, when he felt an arm wrap around his waist and lift him out of the water. Jason took a deep breath of air, and suddenly his senses returned to him, all at once. And now Jason's goal was even more important to him. He. Will. Kill.
