“Isn’t she just adorable?” Lightning Streak asked, almost squealing,
Hesitantly, Ms. Cherry replied. “Yes, yes, of course sir...um, what is her name?"
“Cuter then May Bloom maybe.” Replied Lightning, dazzled by his new daughter, not even hearing Cherry.
“Umm, Yes sir. I suppose. " She remarked, feverishly.
“Shhhhhhh, Cherry, did you hear that?" Barked the orange maned pegasus.
“Hear what?” Ms. Cherry looked around the small, cozy living area. She didn't see anyone.
He stopped, listened closely then said, “Oh, nevermind."
"I’ll be heading to home then sir." She turned to leave.
“Good night,but Cherry, darling, how were the children tonight?” he questioned.
Encouragingly, Ms. Cherry remarked,“Just dying for attention, you guys need to be there for them more often.”
“ Yes, yes, I know.” He shook his head and started back at his daughter.
“ Well, sir, I best be going.” She headed for the door.
He sighed, and said.,“Alright. Good night dear.”
“Goodnight.” She spoke softly.
"Oh and Cherry, her name is Fluttershy."

My name is April Showers.
I have been around for six years, long, years now.
I've had my ups and downs. Nothing to report really. Until she came. The new kid. The new sister I should say.
I have a sort of average family.
We live in Cloudsdale, about an hour fly from the Wonderbolts track. 45 minutes from Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's castle.
My mother is kind, sweet and she loves me, even though most of the time it doesn't seem like it. She doesn't pay much attention to me that much anymore, not since she came. But that's okay I never really knew my mother, I knew her way more then dad, and she was there more then dad, but mostly, she'd be in Canterlot, Manehatten, Fillydelphia, where ever on a business trip.
My father, well I don't really know him. He's a Wonderbolt. If it was up to me, we wouldn't be. Thanks to that "fantastic" job of his I never see him! I don't even know what he's like hardly. Lots of people come up to me and go on and on about how cool he is. It seems like strangers know more about him then I do. The only thing I know is he's nice and funny and kind. I see him sometimes, like on birthdays, and Heart's Warming Eve, but not enough to really know him. Not enough to know him like kids are suppose to know their dads. He has been telling me for as long as I can remember, I can't be a Wonderbolt forever. One day we'll all be a happy family living under the bright sun, high up in the clouds. According the Rain Cloud, he's been saying that even before I was born. You know what I say?
Yeah, right.
I sometimes don't think we'll ever be a family, all of us, together. It just seems impossible. Still, I always hope, I always pray to Celestia, please, please, let that happen one day. Please let it happen one day. One day soon.
Then, there's my big brother. He's the best! Even though he's a colt, he'll play dollies with me. He always knows how to make me happy . My big brother and I used to play all the time. It was a few months before May Bloom was born. He was shipped of, no longer wanted. Shipped of to Canterlot to go to Canterlot Boarding School for the Enlightened. I took me a long,long while to figure out why, but I finally got it now.
Mommy and daddy want Rain Cloud to follow in daddy's footsteps.
Which, is okay with me, because you have to be really old to become a Wonderbolt.
But, the Wonderbolt Training Academy is here in Cloudsdale. There sending him to this boarding school so he can skip school later to go to the training academy. Which stinks. Then I'll see him less.
My little sister, May Bloom, I can’t play with her. She barely can talk. She doesn't understand the rules of hide and seek, or tag.
Sometimes mommy would play with me, but not anymore. Now I just sit in my room and play with my dolls, all alone.So I just sit there, and let the day fly past me. It’s almost like a punishment.
The only good thing is when Ms. Cherry comes. She is my babysitter. Even though I’m not a baby, and I’m not going to let her, or anyone for that matter, sit on me. She always will play dolls with me, that is when she isn't caring for May Bloom. Ms.Cherry will always bake cherry pies! That's the only thing she's good for she says. When she isn't babysitting me and my sister, she volunteers part time in the Food for Hungry Ponies program. She makes her famous pies for the needy. She lives in an apartment in downtown Cloudsdale above a sweet shop.
“Surprise!” Mommy softly shouted when I came downstairs that morning.
“Hi mommy!” I said. It wasn’t a surprise that mommy came home. She called me yesterday and told me she was coming.
“Do you want to meet your new baby sister, Fluttershy?” she asked me.
“Sure ..” I lied. I never wanted a baby sister, so why would I want to meet her?
Baby Fluttershy was a really cute baby, cuter then me and May Bloom, and May Bloom was adorable. She had fluffy, luscious, pink hair that looked like a cloud and a soft, yellow body. She was asleep. And standing right behind her, looking at her, was daddy and Rain Cloud.
“Rain Cloud!” I shouted excitedly. "Daddy!"
“April!” my big brother said.
"Sweet, sweet, April." Daddy echoed.
“Why aren’t you in Canterlot?” I asked my brother.
“I wanted to see you of course!" he smiled.
I giggled when he said that. Him being here, made me so much happier. It's almost like he never left.
"Why are you here daddy? Shouldn't you be training?" I was confused, daddy never missed Wonderbolts training.
"Well I wanted to be here with my little family.Besides, I couldn't stay away too long now could I?" daddy chuckled.
“Do you want to go play dolls?” Rain asked me.
“YES YES YES!” I screamed.
"SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Mommy and daddy choursed.
"Sorry mommy.Sorry daddy. Sorry baby." I pawed the floor.
“Well then come on,and don't wake baby Fluttershy!" Rain Cloud started up the stairs.
"Wait Fluttershy?" I stopped in my tracks. I've heard that name somewhere before.
"Well, yeah, that's the filly's name. Did mommy not tell you?" He gave me his famous confused look.
Stuttering I said, "Oh... ummm... yeah...I didn't know......just...well...uhhh.....I......ummm....."I started at the cold floor." Well.....you....know.....ummmmmmmm......her..........name......it.......welll........"
"It's okay ...come on now." He headed back up the stairs.
"Fluttershy.....now where have I heard that..... Fluttershy....Fluttershy.......Fluttershy........" my mind kept echoing her name. "Fluttershy...............was it a book? A movie? Fluttershy....."
