The days such as they were aged all, time became a curse for some and a blessing for others. This call to Twilight strongly as today was unique to her, yet continuous for the rest. This was significant to her as, this was the day that a score after her accession. Twilight, reminiscing over that she once knew, requested a visit from her friends. Obviously they all replied yet some required more of a push then others. After all not even a long week of planning, prevent her from seeing them. Twilight now placed into obscurity for most, but for many a hero of all. Continued hidden under a gaze of commonality and humility. This may have been usual for someone for her stature. Yet this was common place for her. She didn't find that even with this, she need nor wanted such extravagant entry to a place she once called home.

On the way, she saw a few differences from last time she visited. This city cried that of not a once country town, but a bustling, competitive, cold town. Here they played with all sorts of grate unknowns, and remember very little of what was. It was melancholy at best, at least as a whole. There where still exemplary exception to this rule though. This was not just found to be encouraging, it was found to be beacons of joy. Where people have fallen, there are those who do lend a helping nudge in a direction. Twilight now enlightened by this experience holds her head close to the ground and wings tucked.

Twilight a purple maned allicorn (a pony with a horn and a pair of wings) went to her library to meet up with her first group of friends. After a little while there was a knock on the door. It was two ponies, one a light orange pony with a yellow mane, called Applejack, and the other being a completely pink, fluffy, bubbly pony, known by all as Pinkie Pie that happen to have a satchel on with some colourful pastries on her at that time.

Apple Jack gave a firm embrace, then yapped out in her strong country accent "Hi ya' Twi, how ya' doing".

Twilight only after she slightly recovered from the world famous 'Apple Family welcome' did she replay with "I'm quite well thank you", she was still having problems in her breath.

Pinkie Pie gave a cheerful grin then began to allow her mind and mouth to ramble until suddenly Fluttershy flew into the room like a panicked bumblebee, crashing threw the previously closed glass and wood window, now fragments of glass and twigs.

Twilight stopped Fluttershy from crashing and mended the window back to it's former state, then she asked "what was wrong".

Fluttershy replied in shock "th-th-there was a d-dangerous looking p-pony living in in the Ever-free forest by itself".

Pinkie Pie constantly interrupted trying to get the ponies to eat some of the confectionery in her satchel.

Rarity walked into the room freshly late and dressed, as she has been known to be for at least haft it was so known. Twilight grated her "hello Rarity how your day today".

Rarity replied with "simply wonderful jet I'm quite faint I was working on your new dress for you", she pulled out a dress made specifically made for Twilight, then passed the dress other.

Twilight now becoming hestaricaly teary and emotional "why thank you It's been too long my friend". She offered her to a seat besides her.

Rarity engolfed one of the seamingly rainbow cupcakes in her magic then placed it onto her plate to droping nor cruhing a crum.

Spike awoke from a long slumber, as he rose from his bed while he gave out a generous amount of smoke from his nose. Everypony gave out a cough from the smoke, gave out by Spike. They all greeted Spike into the room. Rarity gave some concern to Spike, about his bad distastful smoke that come out of his mouth.

Spike replied by stopping the somke as muth as he could. Srugging it off as nothing major.

Pinkie Pie’s and Spike’s stomachs rumble as they declared their hunger.

They all sat down now with being all acquainted and known what was happening with each of their lives. They all sat down to eat some of the rainbow muffins. Each pony ate their muffin and each muffin tasted well than any other thing they ever tasted to their surprise. Now after everypony has eaten their muffins, enjoying the confectionary, Spike attempted a second piece of rainbow confectionery into his mouth but as soon as the Muffin toughed Spike’s tongue his face when aflame. Spike screamed out in pain and breathed out fire. Twilight poured a cup of water in spikes mouth, cooling down spike.

Rainbow Dash dashed into the room at top speed, making a gush of wind against they ponies in the room. She mocked at Spike and his pain stricken actions with Pinkie Pie. Twilight was not impressed with the prank made by Pinkie Pie and Rainbow dash. She acted on her disappointed towards Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie replied to this a sly remark. After this event they all talked and played until they fell asleep, last was Twilight who put them all to bed in her room, then Twilight went to bed her self.

The next day Twilight found a note next to her bed, it was sealed with a golden seal. The seal was unknown to her. Twilight read the note it read, "Meat me at the Everfree forest for your gift and if you do not come the night will come and your fears will be realised, what happened millennia ago will repeat itself. Signed Techna Fireheart PS I have been watching you for a long time now." Twilight was startled and woke up Pinkie Pie. She rubbed her eyes giving a groan, asking why she was awoken. Twilight shows Pinkie Pie the note left by her bedside. Pinkie Pie was shocked to say the least.

Pinkie Pie woke up the rest of the group of ponies. Fluttershy gave out a jump in fear. They walked towards the Everfree Forest. At the entrance Fluttershy sight failed her. She asked the others to stay away from the Everfree Forest. They suggested that Fluttershy stayed there while they go on ahead. Twilight and the others stayed on the path as the sign at the entrance instructed. They walked along the path until they came across a tree with all types of apples. Applejack investigated the apple tree. After a few seconds of pondering Applejack took an apple off the tree. This apple was blue in colour. Applejack ate the apple in one bite. Applejack fell into a rave of misery then fell into a death like state.

Twilight became enraged by the state of Applejack. She stomped off towards on the path murmuring in anger alone, ordering every other pony to look after Applejack. When Twilight came to the destination she rampaged at the only other pony in sight, this pony had an eerie grin on her face. When Twilight came within a metre of This Pony she became still and was not able to move while the blue pony gave a look of annoyance.

Twilight was then released as soon as her intentions of hitting the Blue pony. The blue pony introduced herself to Twilight, she claimed to be called Techna a protector of this realm Equestria. Twilight putting two and two together exclaimed to Techna that she was evil for what she has done. Techna explained that Applejack was not dead but severely weakened by the memories that they shared through the enchanted apple that Applejack ate. This apple was now causing Applejack experiencing all the bad memories as if it was real.

Twilight asked why the apple would cause Applejack to fall into a coma. Techna replied by showing glimpses of her early memories to Twilight. Twilight saw the forging of the elements of harmony. Then she Techna was given them to hold until the right time. The next thing she saw was the pony that forged them come ill and died. Then came the memories of study for a solution to the war for Equestria. Next came the memory of Nightmare Moon and her being sent by Celestia to a cold place with stars surrounding them all with different colours then an explosion to reality and Twilight was back with Techna.

Twilight asked what happened. Techna answered the question by telling Twilight that she shown her the first eight years of her life. Techna Continued to explain that Applejack was going to become darker version of herself if they don’t do any anything. Twilight asked about the stallion in her vision, which crafted the elements. Techna replied with “oh that was my dad”. Twilight gulped in astonishment, of the new knowledge she just gained. Twilight asked for Techna’s age. Techna suggested going to Applejack. Twilight agreed.

Techna summoned a scroll that was open and Twilight looked on it as well, only one saw anything. Techna pulled Twilight with her magic. Twilight was enraged, as she did not like being immobilized. Techna sensing Twilight’s discomfort she dropped twilight softly onto the ground with a slight push out of the Everfree Forest.

Techna offered to train Twilight to help protect Equestria while they followed the glowing road to Applejack. They were stopped at the entrance of Applejack’s hospital room by a black male unicorn with clover green eyes. That pony asked what importance does the two other ponies have. Techna looking at his flank saw that his cutie mark was a vile of green poison. She gave a remark on his profession of poison working. He repeated to ask what business they had here. Techna shows her authority in this matter and shows her keeper insignia. The stallion did not recognize the emblem shown to him. Techna pushed the stallion aside to head towards Applejack in her hospital bed.

Techna fabricated a field around the bed and herself keeping every other pony away from Applejack and her. Applejack became frightened and tried to keep Techna away from her. Techna attempted to charm her. Applejack became still with mind, body and her eyes became flat without emotion. “Keep charm Applejack, let me take the pain away”, Techna whispered in Applejack’s ear while enveloping Applejack with a golden light that made the field surrounding to become non-transparent.

When the field dissipated there was Techna standing next to Applejack in her bed that was sleeping, under her blanket. “She’s sleeping now, she will be up tomorrow but she will remember nothing of today in the Everfree Forest.” Techna explained confidently.

Pinkie Pie jumped up out from behind table jumping with joy. Pinkie Pie was ecstatic that Applejack was going to be ok. Techna gave a pat on Pinkie Pie’s head singling a sign that it was going to ok and that they were already good friends. She started to walk out and on her way out she placed a note on the tray addressed to Twilight then she left the room with a smile on her face.

Twilight picked up the note and put it into her pocket to read later. The letter had a golden seal similar to the one shown by her to the poisons expert. They all went to there home to sleep after the long day. Fluttershy got back to her cottage, Pinkie Pie when to her house next to Sugarcube Corner, Rarity went back to Carousel Boutique, Rainbow Dash went back to her house in the clouds, Twilight to her books with Spike and Applejack was helped back home by her family.

When Twilight got home she gave a letter to princess Celestia about the issues that revealed themselves that day. Spike sent the letter with to seal that was on the letter to Twilight from Techna. Twilight was given an immediate response to her letter telling her to be careful around Techna. They went to bed to sleep off the worries of the day.

Author's Note

Hi I am the author here to give you my take on chapter one. It all starts with the main six getting back together in Ponyville and of course it has become more populated and modern.
The second part is all about getting Twilight to Techna a veteran and hero of the great war of the realms and is one of the only survivors of this war and the daughter of the creator of the elements of harmony. As a result of Twilight being with Techna and the means of getting Twilight with her alone Applejack goes into a coma of her nightmares. Techna not giving Twilight a chance to help Applejack to me show that Techna thinks that Twilight is not as powerful or less experienced in magic than her. It end of with the note or trying to give the impression that Techna wants to help Equestria and thinks of her as a friend to all like Celestia or Luna does but in her own way.

A opening of the stars

It was night, in the sky four new stars appeared just as they did befor as the night that Nightmare Moon returned home 2 decades ago. This to the unknowing ment nothing, but to the ones old anouff to know, they know this as a worning spell put in place to trigger when there is a breach in the universal membrane that held this universe together.

The stars soon closened faster than before within one hour the stars became one and then vanished. This could only mean one thing someone or something has come to Equestria which was not of this realm.

Celestia sent for all of her amy and for her most trusted. The only to replied was the her old friends, there elite, Discord, Twilight and her friends. The meeting of her most trusted was held in her inner sandum beneath the throne room. The elite stayed in the throne room to keep watch over the castle.

“You all are my trusted friends and allies” Celestia announced that seemed to be a stage that seemed to be in front of the room. ”This is why I have called you here to my sandom, you should all know that there is an intruder in Equestria, much like the one brought disaster to this realm a millennia ago”, She claimed.

“What problems does this course”, Discord cackled. ”How do we know that it even bring threat.”

“It does Discord” a voice from the shadows called out.The pegasus flew onto the stage. “As you all are aware there is someone coming from another realm, if even one outsider finds the location of this realm the entire of Equestria will become endangered. Unless we persuade him to not speak” the pegasus continued.

“Sister do you know who or what this creaure is” Luna asked.

Celestia respond to this with “No, but maybe the newcomer will know”, she looked at the pegasus next to her.

“Oh I know, but should I tell you who he is” the she replied.

Twilight became enraged at this pony out of pure annoyance at her ingnerance “Isn't obvious you need to tell us”.

“Ok, I’ll do one better. I’ll bring him here”, Techna said while smiling.

Techna left the room to retrieve the visitor form the other realm.

Luna began to speak “As thee are aware of we was gone from Equestria for a nere milleniar, but we was not the moon but in another realm readying a spell that shall allow for the reactivation the bounds of worlds long lost. In my travels with Techna we saw many creatures, both good and bad. The three of us Celestia, Techna, I have collaborated with many of the planeswalkers we met in our travels. We have decided to make a torment to settle our differences and to return Equestria to it’s former glory.”

Celestia continued for Luna “We just need our champions as per agreement we ourselves maynot enter, on the bright side neither can the planeswalkers, we can only supply transportation and training.”

The keepers of elements of harmony took the first move and volunteered, then came discord. He chuckled “This sounds like fun.” Celestia said “we need three more.” Shining armor volunteered with Candus.

Techna walked into the room with two other ponies one the dark lord Sombra they knew but the other was a blue pony with a lense cutie mark. His atire was a blue cape and leather armour. Luna said "Jace is it, hard to tell because of the well changes."

He replied "Yes, have we met."

Luna chuckled "Yes a long time ago in another world."

Jace was finding it hard to read minds here. He thought it was just the fact of Techna was guarding their thoughts from him.

Techna said "He just went to the wrong place, oh yes, I nearly forgot, do we have our ten champion yet."

"Not yet" Celestia frowned.

"Fine then it's decided Sombra your our tenth champion." Techna clamed.

Sombra jumped back in disbelief. He complained "why me? What could make me help you".

Techna "I don't know", she pretends to ponder "If you don't I could see how long a dark embodiment of a pony can last in the centre of a star. You can choose to be my champion or be my guinea-pig." After that statement everyone took a step back to get their bearing. Techna finished the chat with "Now this has been decided let's go to my permanent house." Symbols linked themselves underneath each of the champions, the princesses and Jace. The symbols formed a hole dropping each thing into different rooms. Each pony and ponylike creature within transportation was transformed into a humoniod creature. They were instantly cloked within clothing on entry.

Techna soon joined them gloved. They looked around for a bit on all fours, except for Jace, Luna, Celestia, Discord, Techna and Twilight who are use to being on two legs before saw no need to crawl.

Rainbow Dash asked "where are my wings"? Techna answered her question "you never really had wings". She disagreed "Then what was I using to fly for all my life then?" Techna thought on how to explain the conundrum placed before her "you were just manipulating the air around you to fly and the wing that you saw was a fiscal embodiment of your powers. You can fly just by the same way as before. In time, with some practise you can summon your wing as they were before anywhere at anytime." Rainbowdash summarised it to the into "I can still fly right". Techna confirmed it "Of course".

Rainbow Dash started to fly around the roofless cattacomes.

Techna yelled to her “Do you like it? This is where you will be training.”

Techna gested everyone to an open grassy plain to start the assessment of their current power. They gave them simple instructions to do each test. The first one was that they had to perform was to empower an orb. The first to empower an orb was Pinkie Pie as she touched her’s. Next was Twilight, Applejack, Discord, Sombra, Candus, Rarity then Shining Armor. There was a few difficulties with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy to the others surprise. Techna tried to suggest that they flied to activate their power, the orbs glowed as they flew.

She checked each orb for the properties of the mana. She created three lists of names. One was Discord, Sombra. The next was Applejack and Shining Armor and one had Fluttershy, Candus and Rarity. She said “these lists will be your teams and each team will be trained in a different way. Discord, Sombra you will take the shadow lands to the south to increase your skills in your art, better not teach you guys a new trick outside your specialty. Applejack, Shining armor your to go with Luna to the mountains to the north to train in focusing your aura into the weapons of your soul. Fluttershy, Candus and Rarity you will go with Celestia to the sun rivers to east, we always need non-aggressive magic, you’ll learn it there.”

Twilight asked “What do Rainbow, Pinkie and I do will they are off training, lay back and do nothing,” Twilight was furious that she will be separated from her friend once more because of this person. Techna concluded with “You will all train with me, we’ll do the more difficult stuff.”

Jace walked into the grassy plain and said “I’ll be off now to ready my own troops”, then we planeswalked into another realm.

Techna said to her team of a few people “Let’s go to sleep we have a big week ahead of us”, and condured a stone house and beds from the ground up.

They all went to rest for the next day.

The trainer

Then next day Techna woke up her small guild of apprentices after a sleepless night for herself. Once all of the her apprentices awoke from there sleep, she clapped her hands twice, this summoned a pillar of light which generated a tree that gave every fruit and cake that anyone could imagine.

Techna offered "what ever you can get you can eat no more no less". She then walked over to the tree and pulled off two oranges and a chocolate cupcake.

Pinkie Pie attempted to pull down a lemon meringue tart but as she touched it the tree gave a big 'zap' Pinkie, she quickly reacted by flipping backwards missing the bolt by meare seconds. She tryed again but little change. Rainbow tried to help Pinkie by pulling her back and then attempting the feat herself, with little success with her as the apple expoded everywere leving her socking wet in sticky apple-pulp.

Twilight tryed to colect a blueberry muffen carfully, just to not become in the same as her friend. The roots atempted to entangle Twilight but as it became close the roots sreaded away; the roots then cringed in pain. Then gave and she picked her blueberry muffen and gave a saterfied bite.

Pinkie pulled Rainbow to the tree out of her puddle of tears and apple sider; Pinkie shoved Rainbow's hand onto the tree cousing the tree to expode form the core of the trunk to the bark. But as this was ocouring Pinkie slamed the tree renforceing the branches and food. They cheared and collected there bounty. "Yay" they sreamed.

Techna turned to find them sitting behind a pile of food that piles over them 10 fold. She giggles.

Boom! The patesty expoded as Rainbow picked it up. Boom! It happened again and this time Techna belted " Ha! Ha! Ha! "

" Lets try somthing that is more closser to your knowlage, flying ", Techna smercked at Rainbow

Rainbow puffed up and countered with sarcasum " Like I can't do this".

" Ok show me" Techna Challanged. She then levetated ten meters above the ground in a flicker of a second.

Rainbow tried to fly as she would normanly, crouched down and jumped up, she then felt a gust of wind below her, pushing her up. " You called".

Techna taunt " cach me if you can ", then she bolted in a blase of lightning.

Rainbow Dash truly baffled at this, then began to pursue the pray that just previously pulled a road runner. But soon after she started her pursuit she realised she wasn't flapping her wings but she was just flying without thought. Then came the thought "If I don't use my wings to fly here then maybe I can go faster than the wind can take me.", as this thought came to be realised she began to bolt; Mark 1, mark 2, mark 4, mark 11, mark 29. Then.

BOOM!

The light that she passed became pure white then split into all the colours of the rainbow from a focal point behind Rainbow Dash.

Techna stopped soon after Rainbow began to accelerate beyond her current speed. Then formed a soft dissipation field to slow Rainbow down to a point of manageable speed to bring her back to the camp.

Though days passed by the training continued improving each student's performance of there skills beyond there thresholds the day before. As Techna continued the duties of the royals as they trained. But each day had there own tow that hat had to be pulled by her as the world they trained in and used was her inner world, sanctum and seal. This world kept within her power and pasts.

After six months had past her strength demised and she knew that it was time for the push or kick test. So Techna gathered all who came with her and said "I will leave this place and you shall leave in 3 ways 1 you find your own way out 2 you come through this portal or 3 you will be sent home after 4 days, 4 days and you will return home by the light of eternity that enchants this place". Then she left leving a portal to follow. Discord, Celestia and Luna were the first 3 to leave yet they never left through the portal. Next was Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie they left by going into the portal then came Fluttershy, Rarity and Twilight. But Rainbow Dash as she came closer to the portal she became slowed and she began to push harder on the portal, harder and harder but then.

BOOM! CRACK! FIZZLE!

The portal broke into shards then dissipated. Rainbow Dash stopped and sat for a moment to reflect on what just happened."No this isn't right why couldn't I pass, and now my friends are separated from help... all alone."

Sombra ripped and flickered at Rainbow Dash making her tence up in fear. Then Sombra talked "Why don't you try to fly to them"

"What's your game bucko", Rainbow barked at Sombra as her fear broke her medforical bottle.

"Just you clame to be fastest pegasus in equestra, so why don't fly to your preasus, friends"

" I don't even have a map"

Sombra propsed a deal with Rainbow Dash "I have map, I'll give it to you for in exange for a favor you'll perform when the time comes".

"Fine I'll take it, now give me the map", Rainbow anwsered in a burst in desperation

Sombra gives Rainbow Dash a peice of string, "Heres your map, the black is you and gold is your target, the colser they are the closer you are to it".

The two colours where on opperit sides of the rope. Rainbow asked Sombra in a rage "how do I get there", as she charged at Sombra, inraged in near histaria. "All this thing has done for me is telling me that my friends are realy, REALY FAR AWAY!". Her hear bean to flare up and the air around her began to blast around her.

Sombra smiled and bellowed in a darked voice ÿour closer than you think". Rainbow Dash began to birst give off wave after wave of rainbow polses bringing her into a magnifenent sight as she ripped appart the universe around her.

Rainbow Dash fell unconchius as she for the first time 'planeswalked' for the draining her of all of her natural born mana. She fell onto the cold stone flore that she was on.
