Fractured Minds and Broken Hearts
Relax
Load Full StoryWhy? Why did it come to this? How could she did this to herself? Fluttershy swung from the rafters of her cottage, having been alive only moments ago. A roped tight around her neck, a stool lay on its side. The only explanation could be people. Cold, horrible, judgmental people.
She heard them talk whisper things about her, when ever she went to town. At first she excepted it. But there is only so much anyone can take. Even with the five, best friends a person could ask for. And even with girlfriend as loving as Rainbow Dash. Poor Dash. She would be arriving soon, to surprise her lover. Just because she loved her that much. And, because, of course, to help with all of the pets. Little did she know, they had been given away prior to this event. Each to a home, as loving as their last. She would be distraught. Left a mindless husk of her former self. Something Fluttershy could only hope her death would not bring, but deep down she knew it would, and she felt like a selfish whore. All the more reason, she figured.
Recently expelled urine dripped from her legs. The last tears, rolled down her cheeks. Spittle trickled from the corner of her mouth. Her extremities would be turning blue soon. Her joints would grow stiff. Her eyes would glaze over. She would likely be cremated. She did not want to rot, and her friends knew it. In the end, however, this would not be a remembered happening. A single suicide, that is, even with her position in the kingdom. Time would go on, and everyone simply fades away, as if they had not existed. Another, harsh, reality. But that's what reality is, isn't it? Harshness. At least it is for those, too timid, or those too shy. It will destroy them. All of them.
Soft, white and blue sneakers, padded up the front steps to the cottage. In those shoes, were the feet of the athletic Rainbow Dash. An experienced runner, and experienced lover. In her hand, she held carrots. A gift for the snotty Angel bunny. In her pants, she concealed something she hoped this visit would please.
She pressed the butterfly shaped door bell, a chime played, and there was no response from inside. She waited a few moments. Then, she pressed the door bells again. The same chime played, and the same lack of response ensued. Dash pooped her knuckles, inspecting the red, blue, and yellow nail polish at the ends of them. She stretched, and a third time, she pressed the door bells, button.
Annoyed, the young runner tried opening the door. To her surprise, it was unlocked. Odd, she thought. She stepped in. The lights were dim. Odd too. Fluttershy always loved for things to be illuminated. If she was home, surely the lights would be on.
Rainbow Dash took two steps in, and rounded the corner to her left, stepping into Fluttershy's lounge. It felt like a ton of bricks had just landed on her chest.
Before her, was Fluttershy indeed, but she hung from her rafters. Behind her, the light intering through the pulled curtains gave the corpse a sillohette. One that was haunting, and one that Rainbow Dash would always know.
"No," Rainbow said, weakly. She fell to her knees. She started sobbing. She fell to a fetal position, crying, and balling her eyes out. "Why?" She asked her self. She lay limp.
Rainbow Dash crawled forward, slowly but surely she did. She bore her face into Fluttershy's cold, bare feet, crying into them. They tasted salty. Looking up, she saw a note pinned to Fluttershy's blouse. She looked down again, crying into her dead lovers legs, tears, spit, and snot covering her face. Dash looked up again, and without her own will, she reached up, and plucked the note free. After sobbing for what felt like hours, she opened it. It read, simply.
I'm so, so sorry girls, I couldn't take it. Please, don't hate me. I love all of you, and I always would have. Especially you, Dash.
Her tears distorted the ink of the parchment, and her hands trembled. But in that single moment, Rainbow Dash snapped. There was no way she would recover from this.
Again, she fell limp in the floor under Flutters. Some liquid dripping on her track pants. She lay for one hour. Then two. Then three. Then long enough for Luna to take over the lands, as Celestia brought the day to a close.
Rainbow Dash thought hard, forcing her fractured mind to work. Fluttershy had told her that she loved her, no matter what. But Rainbow Dash, would never be able to show that, she too loved Fluttershy. Despite the countless times she had done so since they had known each other, and even more so since they became a couple. She needed to show Fluttershy, or at least her self, that nothing could end their love. War, plague, or death.
Rainbow willed her self to the kitchen. She looked, only briefly, for a blade. She saw a knife holder. That's what she needs. She took the longest one, hands and body shaking. She walked back to Fluttershy, almost tripping over her self. Fluttershy hung, still. As if she had always been that way. An extension of the house. Rainbow Dash wiped away her tears, they were never letting up. It almost felt like they were trying to drown her.
The prismatic haired girl, almost considered cutting her wrists. But no. She raised the blade high, touched it to the rope. She started in a sawing motion, soon the rope would give, and her timid lass would be free.
The final strand of rope snapped. Fluttershy fell, landing on her feet. She almost collapsed, but Dash caught her. Fluttershy had always been light. She was even shorter than Twilight was, before she became a princess. Which is pretty short.
It felt so great to embrace her lover again. Dash inhaled her scent, an increasingly horrible one, but it was Fluttershy's. And that's all that mattered. Her tears were streams now. Now stopping them. As if she would even try to stop them. She picked Fluttershy up, carrying her bridal style. Just as she had, so many times before.
In the next room, she laid the pink haired lass on the bed that she used to lay her head in. As gently as she could, Dash laid her. Then, she collapsed into her chest, crying, balling, and hoping this was a dream. It wasn't. She hugged Fluttershy, holding her in an embrace. Her sobs almost turning to screams. For a solid thirty minutes, they laid in a faux embrace. One held a cool stillness, the other distraught with grief.
Dash rolled onto Fluttershy, straddling her now. She held their hug, as if the one on bottom could still feel. Then, she rose her face to look into the cold stare the other was giving the ceiling. Her tears fell, and landed on the others face. They mimicked tears of her own.
Her head went down again, and gave one, final kiss to Fluttershy's lips. They had abandoned their rose red hue, and taken the icy blue, default for all deceased. It tasted horrible, but she Rainbow needed to show her love. Dash kissed her cheeks. Gradually working along her jawline. Soon this flesh would be gone. The time to show affection, was fleeting.
Rainbow kissed Flutter's neck. Suckling, and nibbling it. She traced the dark, red marks the rope had caused with her mouth. Then stopped, using Fluttershy as a pillow again. Her tears were still rolling. But no, she must continue. She unbuttoned the yellow blouse Shy wore, kissing her chest, biting her breasts. If she was still alive, then marks would certainly be left Dash's mouth. Deft hands unclasped the front of her bra, and released her breasts. Rainbow did as she had every time they made love.
She went lower, kissing all along her stomach. Licking her navel, and treating the corpse as if it were alive. Her hands worked with minds of their own, unbuttoning Fluttershy's skirt, and opening it. Dash focused on the others waist.
Her hands slid the pink panties down the body's legs. Rainbow Dash leaned back. The panties were cold, and wet with urine. Rainbow grimaced, but tossed them to the side. She lowered her head again. She licked the cold slit, just as she would if Fluttershy were still breathing. But it did not feel the same. She licked again, bearing her nose into the soft, pink curls just above it. She did not smell the same. She wormed her arm under Fluttershy's left leg, raising it onto her shoulder. She licked a third time. It did not taste the same.
But she continued. It tasted terrible, and salty. Like urine. But she needed to prove to her self that she loved Fluttershy, right now. And she did. Her tongue worked the corpse's tiny, slit in every way that it had before they became a corpse.
"It's okay," Dash said, still crying, "this is just for you baby." She choked on her words. "Just sit back, and relax."
