Rey, a young man of 19, fresh out of college and into the working world, had always had the worst of luck, from tripping into a pile of mud, to driving over broken glass, even getting a ticket for running a malfunctioning traffic light!
lately though, his luck has taken turns for the worst. A house fire, car getting towed, And more recently, a bar fight. Now living out of a hotel, on his last leg, how will he pull through?

"Today was going to be different." Rey told himself as he rose out of bed that morning. Today would be the day he changed his nineteen years of bad luck around. Since as long as he could remember, His luck had been rotten, his twelfth birthday cake was moldy on the inside, When he was fourteen, he reached inside his pocket to pay for a soda, and got bit by a spider, and just yesterday, The home where he was born a raised, had caught fire, and he sat across the street and watched his home burn. Doctors tried to take him in, but he refused, and as if on cue, as soon as the ambulance pulled away, it started to rain.

The apartment he stayed in now, was nothing classy, there were bugs, he could hear the patrons both up, and downstairs having intercourse, and all he could do about it was try to ignore it. Rey had never been an outgoing guy, shy and timid, he tended to shy away from any situation that would make him the center of attention, so he sat there in his bed, while dust was falling down onto is face, from the bed gyrating upstairs.

This morning would be different somehow, he told himself. He was going to make today a good day. So he got up, combed his shoulder length black hair, Put on his favorite shirt that he'd packed, and put on the blue sport's shades that he donned over his eyes.
