Jacob Cross, 17, has spent his whole life being made fun of. He does his best to make friends, but everyone thinks he isn't worth talking to. At parties, he's the loudest guy present, always doing his best to make people smile in spite of how he's been treated. He builds crazy inventions to pass the time and looks up to his cousin, Max. To top it all off, he fends off bullying for his habit of watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

But when he meets someone, a bubbly girl with bright pink hair and as much joy for partying as himself. He starts spending time with her and finds out that he has somehow met Pinkie Pie, his favorite character from the show. However, among the pranks and singing, he is shocked to find that she is there for a reason and there is a war brewing that may spill over into his own reality.
