Researchers at the Canterlot Underground Laboratory Center have worked on a secret project for the past 10 years- a project requiring perfect conditions to be met. After so long, scientists have successfully raised a genetically modified child. Half pegasus, half changeling, the hybrid known only as Subject 3293 promises a great and prosperous future to potentially every citizen of Equestria.

But the tiniest of errors can ruin everything. Unlike others, Subject 3293 still has a mind of his own. Soon, he discovers a disasterous truth within the cold stone walls of his "home". Time ticks away as he struggles to escape to solitude above the earth.
