A Shocking Discovery

She's My Sister?!

It was a cold winter evening in Ponyville, but for one pegasus, she felt as warm as blubber on a beluga whale. Fluttershy was sitting down on her couch sipping hot chocolate, while her pet rabbit, Angel, was curled up in his bed asleep. Fluttershy felt that she needed to know about her family, so she went to her lock box and pulled out documents claiming what was inherited to her and how much money was given to her as well.

She dug out her family tree as well, her family was just as big as Applejack's, a whole trio of pegasuses, and pegasus fillies. However, something weird caught her eye, an orange pegasus filly with a purple mane and tail was sitting right by her and her parents.

"What is Scootaloo doing in my family tree?" She asked herself "That's really weird, I don't remember her being in my family." Fluttershy dug out her family photos and saw a picture of herself as a filly, in the picture her dad was holding her and let her see a baby that looked exactly like Scootaloo, she then looked back to her family tree picture and it was confirmed that baby that her mother was holding was a newborn Scootaloo.

"But if she's in my family tree and in a family photo? why is she living in her clubhouse?, and why hasn't she found anypony to take care of her?" Fluttershy pondered these questions, but then she picked up her family tree picture again and saw two stapled documents underneath. Fluttershy picked them up and started to read them. To her luck, it was signed by her parents, and these documents read:

"To whom it may concern, in the event of our deaths please contact our daughter Fluttershy, even though she is young, and we have gone separate ways, we have always thought of her as the godmother of our youngest daughter Scootaloo, whom we are leaving in her care. We reckon she is still in Ponyville, we know that she would want to do the right thing."

Fluttershy dropped these documents in horror, and gasped. She had never known this would've happened to her, Scootaloo, a young orphan Pegasus filly, that lived in a clubhouse, whom she thought had no family and someone to look up to, did have a family, a big sister, and that big sister was none other than Fluttershy, herself!

"Scootaloo....is....my....sister?!" She asked herself.

She picked up the documents and continued to read them: "Fluttershy had always told us that even though she was now a big sister, she always wanted to be Scootaloo's legal guardian. So we had her sign the second paper." Fluttershy flipped over to the second paper and it read:

"I Fluttershy, have agreed to take over legal guardianship of my sister Scootaloo Shy, in an event of my parents' death."

Once again, it was confirmed, Scootaloo had a family, and someone to take care of her. Fluttershy dashed out of her cottage and headed straight for the Golden Oaks Library, where Twilight, Equestria's newest princess, still lived. Even though she was a princess now, she wanted to remain in Ponyville as the town's librarian.

Fluttershy had managed to reach the library and knocked on the door, when Twilight opened it, she was already in her night robe, and using a toothbrush with her horn to brush her teeth. "Comph in Fupphershy." Twilight said, it was hard to comprehend what she was saying because of her mouth covered in toothpaste.

Twilight spit out the toothpaste, levitated a cup of water, and rinsed out her mouth. Once she got out she walked up to Fluttershy, who was sitting on a couch in the living room. "Now, what's wrong." Twilight asked. Fluttershy pulled out a saddle bag that she brought with her and showed Twilight the documents she had read back at her cottage.

"Twilight, I was reading these along with this picture of my family tree, and that's when I saw a picture of Scootaloo in it, and then I read these documents, I discovered that...that.." Fluttershy was now too nervous to say what she discovered.

"What, Fluttershy, what did you discover?!" Twilight asked, shaking her. Finally Fluttershy had the nerve to talk again.

"I discovered that, Scootaloo..is my sister!"

This caused Twilight to gasp, "Why didn't you say something to Scootaloo before?" Twilight asked

"Well I didn't know about it, until now, I'm gonna wait a couple of days, because I don't want to freak her out, or have her not believe me. But when these two days are up I want you and the others there. Because I want to tell everypony."

"Okay, Fluttershy, I'll gather everypony when you say it's time." Twilight asked. Fluttershy was about to depart back to her cottage, but not before hugging Twilight good night. "See you tomorrow?" Twilight said, "Okay Twilight, good night." Fluttershy said.

As Fluttershy was walking back to her cottage, she accidentally rammed into Scootaloo, who was riding on her new Scooter Rainbow Dash got for her. "Hey Scootaloo, what's the hurry? It's getting late." Fluttershy said. "Oh hi, Fluttershy, I was just heading back to my place." Scootaloo said, "Gotta go, Fluttershy, good night." Scootaloo said, she then zipped away to the CMC clubhouse. Fluttershy watched her zoom away and gave a weak smile.

"Good night....little sister." She whispered, she then dashed away for her cottage. Once Fluttershy made it back to her cottage, she opened the door and discovered Angel looking so cross at her, she now knew why. "Oh, Angel, I'm sorry I forgot to give you your evening snack." Fluttershy said, she pulled out a carrot and gave it to Angel, who ate it, hopped back to his bed and fell asleep.

Later that night, alone in the hallway, Fluttershy was in her night robe, and stumbled across the guest bedroom. Fluttershy pondered for a moment, "Hmm, this will be her bedroom." Fluttershy said. She then trotted into her bedroom, got into bed and thought of how she was going to tell it to Scootaloo. She had finally thought of it, she would talk to Scootaloo in front of the others, show her the documents, and tell her that she is my sister."

Finally she fell asleep.

The two days had gone by for Fluttershy, she was now ready to tell Scootaloo the truth. Fluttershy went over to Twilight's Library again. She knocked on the door, and Twilight opened it, "Twilight gather everypony up, tell them to meet me at my cottage, it's time.", Twilight was up and kicking going to Cloudsdale, Sweet Apple Acres, Carousel Boutique, and Sugarcube Corner.

Meanwhile Fluttershy flew over to the CMC clubhouse where Scootaloo was just getting up from a nap, just as she was about to put her stuff away, she heard a knock on the door. Scootaloo yawned and went over to the door and opened it. Badly enough, to her surprise, it wasn't Rainbow Dash, but instead it was Fluttershy. "Scootaloo, come with me to my cottage."

"But, why?" Scootaloo asked, "Rainbow Dash and I were gonna do flying practice today." Scootaloo said, trying to lie her way out of it, but Fluttershy wouldn't bite, instead, she gave the look of a serious general. Scootaloo sighed, and followed her to her cottage. "What do you want to talk to me about?" Scootaloo asked.

"It's very important." Fluttershy said, "But just wait until we get there."

Later the mane six were back at Fluttershy's cottage, Scootaloo was sitting on the couch, while Fluttershy sat down next to her. "Scootaloo, do you remember your parents, your real parents?" She asked. Scootaloo responded and said, "Just barely."

"Well I have to tell you the truth." Fluttershy reached into her saddle bag and pulled out the documents and the family tree picture she showed Twilight the night before. But then, secretly, hid them away because she wanted to show them to her in a minute. She then turned back to Scootaloo and the other five.

"Your parents....died in a train accident five years ago, the day after you were born, somepony was taking care of you. But then she turned on her radio and heard the train 345, the train that your parents were on, had derailed from black ice and crashed into a lake. And as far as I know, they are buried in Evergreen Cemetery."

Scootaloo gasped, since Fluttershy had known about her parents. "H-h-how did you know about my parents' death?" she asked, shaking in fear.

Fluttershy pulled out the documents and family tree, then said, "Because you're parents......were my parents too! I read these the other night and I would like you to read them." She showed Scootaloo the documents, while Scootaloo was reading them, Rainbow Dash asked, "I agree with little squirt. How does she know this?"

"Shhh." Pinkie Pie said "Don't talk Rainbow, I wanna see where this is going."

Scootaloo had finished reading the last document, she gave another gasp and asked with tears starting to come out of her eyes, "You're my sister?!" Fluttershy responded, also with tears starting to come out of her eyes, "Yes, sweetheart, I've missed you so much. Welcome home!" Scootaloo jumped into her sister's arms and the two shared a happy reunion.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The other five cooed, Fluttershy and Scootaloo turned back around and had forgotten that they were still there. Scootaloo was still crying, but Fluttershy had an idea, she pinned her on the couch on her back. Showing her cute little orange belly, Fluttershy grinned devilishly and turned back to the other five.

"Come on girls, help me tickle her!" Fluttershy said, the other five also gave devilish smiles.

"Ah' could be in, ah' tickle Applebloom all the time." Applejack said
"Yeah I'm wondering if my squirt is on the ticklish side." Rainbow Dash said
"Hmm, I guess I wouldn't mind tickling a cute darling filly." said Rarity
"Hmm, I've tickled Spike once, let's see if this little filly likes it." said Twilight
"Yeah, I love tickling fillies." said Pinkie Pie

Scootaloo stopped crying, but when she did, she found the mane six surrounding her and saw that Fluttershy and the others were smiling at her and had feathers in their mouths. She gasped at what they were about to do.

"Don't you dare-" She tried to say, but it was too late, the feathers were already on her and within minutes she was on the road of giggling and laughing.

"CUHHUHUHUTTT IT OUT HAHAHAHAHAHA GIRLS PLEAHEHEHEHEHESEEE CUHUUUT IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Finally they stopped, Fluttershy gave a warm smile, and hugged her little sister. Scootaloo suddenly realized that she did have a family all along. And before too long, Scootaloo was hugging all six of them.

"I love you girls!" Scootaloo said

"We love you too, Scootaloo." Said Rarity

The other five left, leaving Fluttershy in charge of Scootaloo.

The New Rules

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had just brought all of Scootaloo's belongings and her scooter from the clubhouse, and into her new bedroom. Scootaloo knew, for once, that she no longer had the freedom to do whatever she wanted anymore, because she was now living in a real home, which meant there were rules, and where there is rules, there are consequences.

Later that evening at dinner, Scootaloo and Fluttershy were discussing about how they got separated after their parents' death, and what was to become of them now, since they were re-united again. Once dinner was over Fluttershy put Scootaloo back on the couch that she was sitting on earlier, Fluttershy sat down beside her cross legged. And started to talk with her.

"Alright Scootaloo, here's what gonna happen from now on since you're with me now."

"1. You're bedtime is exactly 9:00."
"2. No intense television, movies, or games."
"3. Every morning, when I tell you to get up, you get up, especially when it's a school day, because if I tell you to wake up and I come back and you're still asleep, I'm gonna call the tickle monster!" She demonstrated by tickling Scootaloo, again. Causing Scootaloo to giggle, again.
"And last, but not least 4. You will eat what I cook, and since you're still a filly, I'm gonna give you your bath every night."

Scootaloo huffed, like the big bad wolf. Luckily, Fluttershy put a stop to that. "Scootaloo, I am your big sister, and you live in my cottage, under my rules." Fluttershy said, this was the first time she had ever been strict. Fluttershy looked at the clock and saw that it was nearly half past seven. It was time for Scootaloo's bath.

"Come on, sweetheart, it's time for your bath." Fluttershy said, picking up Scootaloo and taking her to the bathroom. Fluttershy turned on the water until it was just warm enough, she then picked up Scootaloo and put her in the water filled tub, and started bathing her. The first part of her body that she washed was her mane, then her tail, after that was her cute little wings, and last but not least, was her body.

Once she was rinsed off, Fluttershy unplugged the drain and the water drained out, she then dried off Scootaloo and wrapped the towel around her, keeping her from shivering. Fluttershy took her little sister into her new bedroom, where she unwrapped her, and put Scootaloo into some clean, warm, pajamas. Fluttershy then left Scootaloo to let her get use to her new room.

Scootaloo looked on the bookshelf and found her most favorite book ever, the title read, "Venom Hooves at the Underwater Temple." She opened the book and started to read it.

Once Scootaloo was just about to get to her favorite part, Fluttershy came into the room again when she saw Scootaloo reading her book and she chuckled and, "Alright, Scootaloo, time for bed."

Scootaloo whined, "Fluttershy, I was just getting to the good part." Fluttershy thought to herself for a moment, she coked an eyebrow and smiled, "Alright, scooch over." she said climbing onto the bed, Scootaloo gave Fluttershy the book and she read it.

"Then just as Venom was about to enter the doors to the lost world of the Temple, a pair of pointing stalagmites started to fall from the rumbling earthquake outside. However, Venom managed to make it inside, but what he saw shocked him, what did he see?," Scootaloo was getting excited, but Fluttershy managed to close the book. "We will find out tomorrow."

"What, What did he see?" Scootaloo asked, Fluttershy smirked and decided to make up a few seconds of the next chapter.

"Well, a stone finger comes out and boopes him on the nose." She said booping Scootaloo on her nose, Scootaloo started giggling, " next a pair of vines come down and tickle his armpits," Fluttershy said, tickling her armpits, Scootaloo changed from giggling to laughing, " and last a giant statue of a man walks up to him, picks him up, and gives him a big squeezy hug." She said, picking her up and giving her a squeezy hug.

Scootaloo fell asleep in her sister's arms, Fluttershy decided to her Scootaloo sleep with her for tonight, so she took a sleeping Scootaloo in her arms and carried her to her bedroom, Fluttershy tucked Scootaloo in and she laid herself next to her,, Fluttershy then felt Scootaloo shivering, Fluttershy looked out the window and saw that it was now snowing, so she placed a hoof around Scootaloo and pulled her close towards her, and even though they were under warm covers, Fluttershy wrapped her wing around Scootaloo, Fluttershy felt her not shivering anymore, and at last Fluttershy gave her a good night kiss.

"Good night, little sis." Fluttershy said, finally she was asleep as well. Scootaloo opened her eyes half way and saw that she was snuggled up next to Fluttershy, Scootaloo smiled lovingly, she now had a warm home, and a loving sister. Scootaloo fell back to sleep again, she was now, for the first time, safe and warm.
