The white and yellow filly trotted through the heavy mist, bumping into hard brown trunks along the way.
"Oh, come on, Lemon Daze! Let's go home! There's nothing here!" Her companion whined.
"I agree with Peachy Pie! This just doesn't feel right..." The third filly spoke next.
"Oh, Berry Pinch! You need to stop being a baby! We're just exploring, ok?" Lemon Daze called back.
"Uh, at 2:37 in the morning?" Peachy Pie responded sarcastically.
Suddenly a twig snapped.
Peachy Pie and Berry Pinch jumped, and began a holler, but not before their leader, Lemon Daze whipped around and covered their muzzles with her hooves.
"We have to keep quiet, okay?"
The two fillies across from her nodded.
"So, umm, Lemon, why are we out here in the first place?" Berry Pinch whispered.
"I heard some pony calling me. 'Lemon Daze... Lemon Daze... Come out and play...' And then it said something I couldn't make out. So, I crawled outta my bed, opened the door, and went and got you guys."
In unison, her companions let out a frightened 'oh'.
Suddenly, some one started singing.
"Peachy, please stop it! It's annoying the schnitzel out of me!"
"I-It's not me, 'Daze!"
"Then, please, Berry, cut it out!"
"I'm not humming."
Lemon Daze started shaking in fright.
"Well, uh, if it's not me, and it's not you or you, then, who-who is it??"
Lemon Daze started sweating, and felt her heart want to fly out of her chest. She was surprised it didn't.
"Lemon, Pinch, just think h-happy thoughts! It just must be someone here to rescue us. Because I think we're lost."
Lemon Daze looked all around, but couldn't tell where she had led the trio.
oh my little ponies... you are so lost... why did you stray away? now you must stay... follow the shadows...
"Lemon Daze, I wanna go home!" Berry Pinch cried out.
"Me too!" Peachy Pie agreed. The golden pony burst into tears.
Lemon Daze cried a little, huddled the three of them together, then kept right on moving.
