You Find Yourself In A Room

You decide that the best thing to do right now is to see if the piece of paper has any information as to what is going on. Gently placing your hooves on either side of it, you give a quick yank and the paper tears away from the staple... which sadly remains implanted in your skull. As you glance down upon the knowledge left before you, the current situation becomes more clear; and a tad bizarre.

To whom it may concern,

As you may have noticed, you are currently trapped in a room with but one means of escape. To do so, you must find five items that I have hidden around the room. The items include; A red square, a green circle, a blue triangle, a silver star and a golden four-leafed clover. Once all of the items have been found you must place them in the correct order to unlock the door and  become free.

Climb up from the floor and get to work!
