The Beginning of an Adventure

It was a warm sunny day in Ponyvile. Spike, however, was too busy napping to enjoy the sun. "Spike." Twilight called. Spike only tossed and turned when she called to him. "Spike!" she said a little bit more stern like. Spike ignored her. "SPIKE!" Twilight yelled at the top of her lungs. Spike jumped out of the bed, and yelped. "Wha-!" he let out, as he tumbled out of bed.

"Spike, get up, its ten o'clock." Twilight said, staring at the startled dragon. He stood up, and scratched his head. He yawned. "Sorry, Twi. You know I like to sleep in on my day off." he scratched his back and looked a bit around. "I know that, but I think you should go outside. It's a wonderful day out!" she insisted. Spike groaned. "Do I have to?" he asked.

"Yes, Spike. Now go outside." Twilight responded, trotting over towards a table. Spike hung his head, defeated. He walked downstairs, and out the door. He noticed that the area where the library stood, was rather empty. "Hey, Spike!" he heard. Spike turned around, and was greeted by the CMCs. "Spike, do you have any ideas on how we can get our cuite marks? It turns out that zip-lining isn't our thing." Scootaloo said.

"Well, You can always try and write a story, or help out in the library." He suggested. The three fillies exchanged glances. "CUTIE MARK CRUSADER WRITERS!!! YAY!" They chanted, and ran into the library. Spike sighed, and walked towards the outskirts of the town. He noticed a crowd surrounding a table, and scoffing, munching, and other sounds of eating were heard. Spike glanced over. He noticed the sounds were coming from Applejack and Pinkie Pie, scarfing down pies, cupcakes, cakes, and other pastries.

Spike watched the two ponies for a bit, and walked away. He noticed a few ponies passing by him, and he tried to name them by memory. He saw: Lyra, Bonbon, Derpy, Lily, Lickity Split, Junebug, Dr. Hooves, and a few others. Spike looked down and kicked a rock. 'Why do I have to be bored on the one day the sun is perfect?!?' he thought to himself. Spike began to grow near the crust of the city, and looked out towards a nearby plain.

Huh?

Something shined towards Spike, that was glistening in the plain. Curious, he decided to go check it out. It wasn't to far away, and he manged to get close to it. It was a strange metal box, with a button on its side. He saw something printed on the metal, and it read "Dimensio-matic". Spike stared at the box, and looked at the button. He didn't even notice the 2 pair of hoofs clomping his way. Before Spike could do anything, something ran into him. "Hey! Watch where your going pa- Oh, sorry Spike." a familiar voice spoke. Spike fell onto the button, causing the machine to whir. Spike turned around, and noticed that Rainbow Dash was taking a stroll with Fluttershy, and bumped into him. "Whatcha got there Sp-" Fluttershy started, before all three of them were evoloped in a strange white light.

When they were in mid transmit, was hard to explain. They area was blue and black, and seemed to be twirling around and around. They saw strange things, such as clocks, blades of grass, dolls, and other gimmicks. Spike, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy didn't say a word. They only held each other, and stared at the area in horror. There, at the end of the twisted tunnel, was a bright light. They quickly tried to get to it, but the tunnel was already taking them there. The light grew stronger, and they shielded their eyes.

Spike blinked, and noticed that they were in another area. The grass was still green, the wood on the trees were still brown, and the sky was still blue, but they were defiantly somewhere else. "Guys? I don't think we are in Ponyville anymore..." Spike said, his eyes bugged.
