May 1st 2011 Wednesday

My name is Luke Flowers, what a manly name! anyway my Parents thought it would be a good idea to have a journal, write down my thoughts when troubled and whatever else you write in a journal…I can’t think of anything else so I guess that’s it for now.

May 2nd Thursday

I Hate school. today was a miserable day. The day started by the early morning rain soaking my clothes, then when I get there the school bully, Anthony throws me to the ground so I lash out at him and...BAM! a teacher comes around the corner landing me in detention... oh and I was dumped...again. I am so angry I can't even wright a good journal entry. Talk about shit hitting the fan.

May 3rd Friday

Today was better at school, Anthony was caught ditching school with his goons, he was so pissed, I could not stop laughing for hours. My ex-girlfriend found someone new witch I really don't care about, never liked dating anyway. but what really made my day was when my father thought it would be a good idea to go camping for the weekend. He said it would be just the two of us out there in the woods with only our supplies and each other. He said it would be a good bonding time, like my grandpa would with him when he was my age. I thought he was crazy, two guys alone in the middle of the woods? No f-ing way. Then he said it would be on the property, just away from the home while mom takes a break from us. Well soon I said alright, his face grew wide with joy and said “We are going to have the best of times!” before walking off to start packing. Gotta love him.

May 4th Saturday

So I brought the journal because my mom thought it would be a good idea to write what we did, so without too much complaint I took it with, we packed a large tent, two sleeping bags, water, food, and other random stuff you bring on a camping trip. We when as far as we could on our property and made camp. we walked around a bit, tried to bird watch and took a little hike to no where. this is going to be interesting.

May 7th

I don’t what the day is, it all happened so fast…I just don’t know…I don’t know what went wrong. I was in my sleeping bag, it was like midnight or something…and I kept hearing this sound like a animal that was walking out side are little camp, and out of natural curiosity I went to find out what it was…that’s all I can recall, I woke up in a hospital bed a day or two later with bandages on my arm, chest, and head.

May 13th Sunday

I left the hospital today in an arm sling. I found out what happened that night, there was something outside of the tent, no one knows what, but when I left the tent it attacked me bit my arm and tromped all over me until I was unconscious, my dad cam running out, it ran off into the night and I was taken to the local hospital…I can’t help but think…this was no random animal attack, call me crazy but…I need to sleep it was a long day.

May 15th

I had a horrid night mare last night. I dreamed I was in the woods and…and that I… I was something else ravaging through the woods killing anything I could find…but the worst part was…I found myself leavening the tent…I felt burning hatred and grief when I saw my terrified form. I attacked myself and in the height of the attack I woke up sweating, and screaming. I have never been so scared.

Luke closed his composition book he was using as a journal after he finished his last entry and stood from his desk. Luke rubbed his face with his left hand rubbing his aching eyes; he turned around to face his room.

His desk was a small plain dark oak wood with his school books in a stack of three his math book, then English, then the science book. There was a messy, thin stack of lined paper with his journal and pencils atop of them. His bed was a long thin one with a ruffled dark green blanket, and a matching cover with a simple feather white pillow at the top, it old sat on a simple white metal frame. A window separated into four even squares hung above his bed shinning soft dull rays of moon light through them casting a shadow over his bed. Across the foot of his little old bed was his fairly new  polished oak dresser with six drawers with small iron handles, it had a large mirror attached to the back of it were Luke could see his reflection.

He was tall, thin, pale, with short messy dirty blond hair, his ears round and flat on the side of his head, he had a long thin nose like the rest of his body, his eyes were round and soft  green in color, his chin was thin and slightly pointed, he was wearing his very comfy red silk pajamas. His right arm was wrapped in clean bandages, with a arm sling holding up.

Luke took his eyes off the mirror and pushed the button on his light blue desk lamp and crawled into his bed that creaked under his weight.

He pulled the blanket over his body and rolled onto his right side before grunting in pain and rolling onto his back. Luke rolled his head to face the sandy gold wall, which had a white wood edging at the bottom that over lapped the hard, dirty, old rug floor of his room. He was afraid to sleep; ever since the attack he was having the worst nightmares.

Luke turned his gaze forwarded were he  lost track of time as he lay in the bed gazing at the white popcorn ceiling as if he was standing in front of the world’s most complex picture of art. He shook himself from his trance and closed his eyes, whom felt like anvils instead of eyelids. He closed his eyes and in no time at all was drifting into a heavy sleep., he did not even bother to take of his sling.

Luke awoke from his droning slumber with a cold shudder; he was taking slow long intakes of air through his mouth. He had another nightmare, this time it was more real than ever, it started with him alone in the woods walking, it was cold and drafty with a thin mist in the air. The trees were tall thick and dead with their branches all tangled and askew with one another, the moon hidden behind the canopy. He walked for what felt like eternity before a small clearing in the forest came to before him. Luke walked right in to the opening were soft grass was visible under the full moon that sat right above him shinning down like a warm smile. The air was chilled, silent, and musty from all the trees, Luke stood alone and still gazing upon the moon.

He was completely unaware of the large pair of blinding white eyes glaring at his frail human body, for he was to distracted by the large soft moon light that was casted over him.

Luke’s heart started to thump loudly in his chest when a deep, evil growl was emitted from the trees around him. Luke froze were he stood, not daring to anger whatever could possibly made that sound, his eyes flicked back and forth.

His eyes eventually came in contact with whatever was watching him, two slanted, glowing, white eyes.

He heart stopped beating, and he held his breath his heart feeling like a drum in a rock concert beating fast and hard. His mind screamed to run but his legs were latched to the ground as if he was nailed to the earth.

A large wolf like animal came crawling from the shadows into the dim moon light, it had those glowing eyes he saw before with many dagger like teeth, it had a large thicket of hair from the base of its neck to the middle of its back, it had large toughs of hair around its wrist were two massive paws were cutting into the ground with long curved claws, it had a big bushy tail, the rest of its body was more thinner hair, he could slightly see its ribs from the way it was positioned on all fours.

Luke had no idea how to respond as two had what looked like a staring contest between a lion and a newborn fawn. It gave another deep menacing growl that rattled his bones. They stood facing one another for some time until the beast started to make its way toured Luke who was now shaking with fear.

It walked closer and closer to Luke who wanted to run as fast as he could, as far as he could, but his body was in lock down and refused to move a muscle.

It stopped mere inches from his face, he could feel its deep hard exhales on his face as he stood there not taking his eyes of its own for a second. It gave a booming roar right in his face hits maw open wide, saliva splattering some on his face, but he did nothing to wipe it away. He remained still even when it came to stand on its hind legs towering over him at seven feet tall looking down upon him like a man would a ant.

It drew back one of its all mighty paws way above its head and brought it down across his head, to where he woke up gasping for air.

Luke tore the blank off of his warm body to be met with a wave of cold, but he ignored it as he stood up from his bed and unsteadily opened the door to his room into the hallway outside of his room.

The hallway had a same exact colors as his room, Luke looked down the hall to the left were two painted doors stood facing one another, and beyond them a window that had the lazy moon light drifting inside. To his left was another set of doors and one of the leading to his parent’s room and beyond those doors a opening to the left that lead to the living room.

Luke shuffled as quietly as possible down the hall past his parents room were a heavy snore was audible. Luke sighed in relief as he made his way into the living room. Luke walked under the arch way into the tile living room. The tile was a mix of blue and some kind of tan/peach color, there was a large deer fur rug on the floor under a short glass coffee table and around the table was a long green couch with a matching love seat to the left, and loafer to the right. They had decorative stands between them and across from the couch were a large flat screen T.V with his gaming console, under the DVR box. The whole room its self opened up to the Kitchen/dining room to his left, and to the right was the main entrance.

The walls had various pictures of art and family photos but it was too dark to study them clearly, so he made his way for the door.

There was coat hanger with a couple pairs of shoes and boots and to his left was a stand that had a slick black vase that was empty at the time. Luke bent down a slipped on his Converse All-Star high tops, and grabbed a thin jacket from the hanger and slowly but surely opened the door to the outdoors.

The winds were silent, and the trees were still as Luke tromped through the dead twigs and dry leaves, Luke really did not know where he was heading to or why but he just felt like the best thing to do is take a walk to clear his mind.

Luke wandered for a bit before changing his direction then walk a bit, then change his direction once again to the point where he though we was lost but he didn’t care anything is better than his nightmares. Luke finally came to stop, he sat down on the damp forest floor, and he sat with his legs pressed hard onto his chest with his arms crossed over them.

Luke shuttered as an image of his nightmares flashed in his head, Luke looked up to canopy, a full moon. The moon…why the moon…it feels different somehow…why is he feeling anything it’s only the moon?

Luke Stood up and started to walk out of the woods while keeping his eyes on the moon.

Luke in about an hour’s time, walked out from the tree line into a clearing the moon was completely visible above him. As Luke stood under the moon, his skin started to itch and crawl, his right arm started to burn horribly under his sling.

Luke started to twitch, he brought his hand up to his face, his left hand felt like it was being ripped apart his fingers were sapping, and twitching rapidly. Luke could feel his chest heaving. What’s happing to him?

He started to have this feeling in his chest, like something was clawing his insides trying to pull its self out of him. It was like a big ball that was making its way from the bottom of his intestines, up to his stomach, then up to his lungs.

Faster than a exploding bomb, it felt like every bone in his body shattered, then reforming themselves into a skeleton three times to big for his own body.

“AHHHH!” His body started transfigure into one of a monster in a matter of milliseconds.

He blacked out.
