"Come on Dash! We are going to be late!" Twilight yells over the hill, running as she yells back

Dash trots over the hill following behind twilight as they head for their viewing point. Rainbow seeing that twilight, of all ponies, is beating her in a little hoof race. She wasn't going to have any of that. Rainbow picks up her speed as she slips passed her purple rival. Looking back at twilight, not watching where she is going, sticks her tongue out at her playfully.

"Dash! Watch out!" *Dash still not watching where she is running to, falls off the edge of the somewhat big hill they where both on. Twilight runs to the side of the cliff, looking down to see if rainbow dash is alright.

"ugh! don't scare me like that!" Rainbow Dash hovering in the air just below twilight. The blue Pegasus chuckled as she floated back up the the ridge

"oh! you should have seen the look on your face! hahaha! Rainbow rolling on the floor holding her sides in laughter Twilight with a angry face looking down at her

"oh come on Twilight, you know I can't help it. I was just joking around."

"let's just get to the firework show" with that, Dash gets up and keeps walking along the side for her unicorn friend as the reach their destination. twilight taking a cloth out of bag, something you would use on a picnic, and places it on the grass

"there we go" with that, twilight lays down and motions Dash over to sit down next to her. Dash sits down next to her, pretty close at that.

"ooo, we are just in time" looking in the sky seeing the first of the fireworks at to set off into the sky and blow up in all different colors and shapes. hearing "ooo...'s" and "aaah....'s" from the crowd below, many other ponies scattered on the field also watching the show. But Twilight found this spot a day earlier from searching to find the best possible angle to watch the fireworks. The spot wasn't very big, and could only fit about two or three other ponies. Twilight and Dash also invited Fluttershy to come along with them, but she had said she didn't want to go because of all the loud boom's and bright lights that the fireworks made. A couple minutes pass as the show goes on, both Twilight's and Rainbow Dash's heads looking into the sky as the watch.

"wow... look at that one dash." *as she points into the air as a large firework goes off into the night sky, lighting over all the land.

"cool, and that one" as a second one goes off, forming a string of three stars in the sky. A few more minutes pass by as more and more lights fill the sky with all kinds of colors. many fireworks start to go off, looking like the finale of this performance. as they finish, twilight and dash slowly scooting closer and closer to each other. The final fireworks go off as they notice them getting very close to each other. They move apart looking in other directions.

"Well. that was grea..." Dash manages to get out of her mouth before a extremely large boom goes off in the sky.

"ahhh!" Dash jumps back onto her back from the shock. Twilight also flinches, but not as much as Dash. Twilight chuckles at her friend as she stumbles onto her hooves

"shut up..." dash says quietly but enough for Twilight to hear.

"oh come on, I couldn't help it" mimicking Rainbow from earlier on the ridge. Dash sits back down get to her and watches over the edge as she watches to crowd start to clear out of the area and back to their homes to sleep.

"ok, that was great" Dash finally gets to say

"yes it was" Twilight responds "We should probably start heading back home to, its really late"

"yeah, let's go" With that, Twilight and Rainbow Dash start to trot down the hill with each other, not worrying about winning a race this time, Dash trots next to twilight as they go down*

"did you have fun Dash? How did you like this spot? I bet it was a lot better then sitting down there in that field"

Yeah, it was an awesome spot, I really enjoyed it, thanks Twilight" Twilight nods to accept Dash's thanks. they walk for a few silent awkward minutes down to twilight's library and then stand outside the front door*

"This was really fun Rainbow, we should do it again some time"

"their isn't going to be another firework show for a while though"

"Not just firework shows, just... hang out. Maybe tomorrow again if your interested"

Yeah, maybe. I'll see if I can"

"alright, see you then Dash"

"bye" Rainbow holds out her hoof for twilight for a hoofbump but instead, Twilight decides to move in a hug Dash. Dash is confused for a second, but then hugs awkwardly back as the embrace each others company. Twilight breaks the hug and steps away from Rainbow Dash

"S-Sorry" she stutters as she moves into her home

"umm... ok..." Dash says as she now stands alone in front of the closed door. "see you later..." A slight disappointment in her voice as she makes her way back through the dark streets ponyville back to her own home.
