//-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight and Dash's Awkward situations -by Lovensky- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Dash and Twilight's Awkward Situations - By Lovensky "Come on Dash! We are going to be late!" Twilight yells over the hill, running as she yells back Dash trots over the hill following behind twilight as they head for their viewing point. Rainbow seeing that twilight, of all ponies, is beating her in a little hoof race. She wasn't going to have any of that. Rainbow picks up her speed as she slips passed her purple rival. Looking back at twilight, not watching where she is going, sticks her tongue out at her playfully. "Dash! Watch out!" *Dash still not watching where she is running to, falls off the edge of the somewhat big hill they where both on. Twilight runs to the side of the cliff, looking down to see if rainbow dash is alright. "ugh! don't scare me like that!" Rainbow Dash hovering in the air just below twilight. The blue Pegasus chuckled as she floated back up the the ridge "oh! you should have seen the look on your face! hahaha! Rainbow rolling on the floor holding her sides in laughter Twilight with a angry face looking down at her "oh come on Twilight, you know I can't help it. I was just joking around." "let's just get to the firework show" with that, Dash gets up and keeps walking along the side for her unicorn friend as the reach their destination. twilight taking a cloth out of bag, something you would use on a picnic, and places it on the grass "there we go" with that, twilight lays down and motions Dash over to sit down next to her. Dash sits down next to her, pretty close at that. "ooo, we are just in time" looking in the sky seeing the first of the fireworks at to set off into the sky and blow up in all different colors and shapes. hearing "ooo...'s" and "aaah....'s" from the crowd below, many other ponies scattered on the field also watching the show. But Twilight found this spot a day earlier from searching to find the best possible angle to watch the fireworks. The spot wasn't very big, and could only fit about two or three other ponies. Twilight and Dash also invited Fluttershy to come along with them, but she had said she didn't want to go because of all the loud boom's and bright lights that the fireworks made. A couple minutes pass as the show goes on, both Twilight's and Rainbow Dash's heads looking into the sky as the watch. "wow... look at that one dash." *as she points into the air as a large firework goes off into the night sky, lighting over all the land. "cool, and that one" as a second one goes off, forming a string of three stars in the sky. A few more minutes pass by as more and more lights fill the sky with all kinds of colors. many fireworks start to go off, looking like the finale of this performance. as they finish, twilight and dash slowly scooting closer and closer to each other. The final fireworks go off as they notice them getting very close to each other. They move apart looking in other directions. "Well. that was grea..." Dash manages to get out of her mouth before a extremely large boom goes off in the sky. "ahhh!" Dash jumps back onto her back from the shock. Twilight also flinches, but not as much as Dash. Twilight chuckles at her friend as she stumbles onto her hooves "shut up..." dash says quietly but enough for Twilight to hear. "oh come on, I couldn't help it" mimicking Rainbow from earlier on the ridge. Dash sits back down get to her and watches over the edge as she watches to crowd start to clear out of the area and back to their homes to sleep. "ok, that was great" Dash finally gets to say "yes it was" Twilight responds "We should probably start heading back home to, its really late" "yeah, let's go" With that, Twilight and Rainbow Dash start to trot down the hill with each other, not worrying about winning a race this time, Dash trots next to twilight as they go down* "did you have fun Dash? How did you like this spot? I bet it was a lot better then sitting down there in that field" Yeah, it was an awesome spot, I really enjoyed it, thanks Twilight" Twilight nods to accept Dash's thanks. they walk for a few silent awkward minutes down to twilight's library and then stand outside the front door* "This was really fun Rainbow, we should do it again some time" "their isn't going to be another firework show for a while though" "Not just firework shows, just... hang out. Maybe tomorrow again if your interested" Yeah, maybe. I'll see if I can" "alright, see you then Dash" "bye" Rainbow holds out her hoof for twilight for a hoofbump but instead, Twilight decides to move in a hug Dash. Dash is confused for a second, but then hugs awkwardly back as the embrace each others company. Twilight breaks the hug and steps away from Rainbow Dash "S-Sorry" she stutters as she moves into her home "umm... ok..." Dash says as she now stands alone in front of the closed door. "see you later..." A slight disappointment in her voice as she makes her way back through the dark streets ponyville back to her own home. *** //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 *** Chapter 3 *Rainbow Dash wakes up pretty early, its about 8:00 in the morning. On a Sunday Morning, she would usually sleep in, being that she was off from cloud arranging on both Saturday and Sunday and every other week off on Wednesday. She gets up and starts to do her normal things in the morning. Go to the bathroom, brush her teeth, Take a shower, brushing her wings and mane, Go into the kitchen and make some breakfast for herself. She sits down at her table and has a nice bowl of cereal. After finishing, doing the dishes and drying herself off the rest of the way, goes out to her mailbox and gets the daily mail. Still slightly thinking about what Twilight might have in store for her, she lays down on her bed and begins to read. Looking through Ponyville's next events, she sees some things that caught her eye "oo... that sounds like fun, a movie. 'Nightmare on mare street' sounds scary. Maybe Twilight will want to go see that, I wonder if she likes scary movies. I'll ask her if she wants to go see that if she doesn't have anything planned already" Dash finishes the paper and sets it to the side, Nothing else in her interest besides what she can do with her purple unicorn friend. "shes probably up by now, I should go see if she wants to go see it now" With that, the blue Pegasus leaves to go see Twilight, hoping that she will want to go with her. A few minutes through ponyville she finds herself in front of Twilight's door again. She knocks on the door and waits for an answer. Waits about thirty seconds and the door opens. "Hey Spike, is Twilight home?" "Oh, hi Rainbow Dash, yes but she is still sleeping. You can go wake her up if you want" "Okay, thanks" Rainbow trots into the library, and starts making her way into Twilight's bedroom. wioight still laying in her bed, Dash goes over to her bedside. "Twilight. Wake up." "ahhh.... Five more minutes Spike... let me sleep in..." "Spike?" Twilight slowly starts to open her eyes and is faced with a blue Pegasus beside her "ahhh!" Twilight jumps back and falls off the other side of the bed "Twilight?" Rainbow giggled "I didn't even mean to scare you that time" Twilight gets up off the floor as fast as she can, stumbling to her hooves so she doesn't look anymore foolish then she already is. "Rainbow Dash? w-what are you doing here? how'd you get in?" "Spike let me in, he said you were still sleeping and I could go wake you up" "oh... already then" "Hey do you want to go see a movie later? You said you wanted to hang out and I seen in the pa..." "yes!" Twilight blurted out before Dash could finish her sentence. "umm... okay great. It starts at three, so we have a lot of time to do other stuff if you want "actually.. I was working on a new spell, its a new cloud walking spell, like that one I gave the rest of are friends to go see you preform, but this one is stronger, so it will last a week, other then two days" "oh, okay cool. what do you need me for then?" "well, a levitation spell is pretty difficult to preform, and then while doing that I would need to do the cloud walking spell, even for me it would be hard, and if I mess up, I'll probably get really hurt from the drop, so if I had a Pegasus to help me get up to a cloud before I used the spell, it would be a lot easier on my part" "so what your saying is... you want to use me?" "no no, its nothing like that. Just it would be eai..." Dash chuckled "I'm just kidding, I'll help you. You want to do it right now?" "sure, if you have the time" "I'm off today, so I have the whole day" "okay great, let's get going" "ummm... Twilight?" "what?" Rainbow point up at Twilight's mane, all messed up and curled "And don't you need to take a shower?"  Twilight when't a little red at the sight of Rainbow pointing out all this "yeah... I s-should probably do t-that... first..." Her voice lower then it usually is "I'll just wait for you, you go and do all that" "O-okay..."  Twilight stutters again before making her way into the bathroom.  Rainbow sat up on Twilight's bed "Why does she keep stuttering? Rainbow says to herself "I've never heard her do that before besies last night with me... weird." About a half an hour has passed and Rainbow already bored as ever, Twilight finally comes out of the bathroom clean, and with her usual bang she always has. "okay, now let's go" She says as she starts to go down the stairs and out the front door. Rainbow follows as they both make their way to a open field that had plenty of clouds above it. "okay Rainbow, let me get on you back and take me up to that big on there" *Rainbow slightly bends her legs so that Twilight can get on her back easier, as she gets on, rainbow braces herself for the weight, but as she gets on, there is barley any weight added "wow Twilight, your a lot lighter then you look. Alright, now hold on" Dash opens her wings and soars into the air bringing Twilight up off the ground and to the cloud she wanted to experiment on. They reach the height right next to the cloud and Twilight's horn starts to glow, she focuses as a spark jumps out of her horn, telling her that she preformed the spell. "okay, now just get ready to catch me if I fall through. Alright? Dash nods and gets a little bit closer to the cloud for Twilight. Twilight steps off Dash and onto the cloud. "wow! it actually works! I'm so glad!" Twilight jumps for joy as she sees that her calculations and planning worked. Dash steps onto the cloud with her. "good job" Dash complements Twilight on her work "Now we have to wait, to see if this spell will last as planned" "your going to wait a week up here?" "no" she rolls her eyes "I'll just come up here for about a half an hour each day just to see if the spell is lasting" "oh alright, that makes more sense" They spend a couple more minutes on the cloud together and then Rainbow brings them both down to the ground. "well, I think I'll go back home, I can't really think of anything else to do until the movie" "wait... don't go.." "what?" "we can just..." Twilight thinks to herself what they can do but also can't think of anything "see? there's nothing we can do right now. I'll just see you at the movie. okay?" With a joyful voice. Twilight smiles at her "Alright..." Rainbow looks around and holds out her hooves to give Twilight a hug. Twilight goes into her arms and hugs back "T-thanks..." "See you then" Rainbow breaks the hug and walks back home to wait for the movie to start ***           . //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 *** Chapter 4 Both Twilight and Dash wait until about two-thirty and both head out to each others houses to pick the other up. They both surprisingly meet in the center town, so they were both closer to the movie theater then they would have been if one of them when't to one anothers  house. They both go to the movie theater and find their seats. They both sit closer to the back, but not all the way back. The movie begins to start. "wow, rainbow these are great seats. Nice find" "Yeah, these are my favorites, perfect viewing and right next to the speakers" "Your perfect..." She says under her breathe, not enough for Rainbow to hear her About half way through the movie about at the one hour mark, I big jump scare pops out and makes the crowd jump. "ahhh!" Twilight jumps back hard and holds onto Dash to her side, continuing to hold on for a few minutes after the jump scare. She finally notices. "oh... s-sorry... I don't really like scary movies that much..." "you want to leave?" "oh no, its alright, I wouldn't want to ruin your good time" "Twilight, its okay if you want to go, I don't want to make you sit through something you don't want to watch. I'm not rally having that much fun either." "You sure?" "Yeah, come on" Both Twilight and Rainbow get up and leave going outside the theater "Sorry if you didn't want to see that, I just thought it would be fun for us, That movie did kind of suck anyway, So we still have a couple hours. What do you want to do?" Rainbow asked "I don't know... we could.. go back to my house. See if you want to read something else that isn't Daring Doo" "Twilight, you've tried that before, I don't like any of your fancy egghead books, they all bore me to death let's do something a little more fun" "Come on Dash, please?" She asked with a wanting look of her face "Okay... fine, but if this is just another waste of time, you owe me" "Deal" With that they both head off to Twilight's library. Another awkward silence as they get there and twilight opens the door and they both step inside "Okay Dash, I know you like daring Doo, so let me show you some of my favorite action books" She takes her back up to her bedroom and shows her a little bookcase next to her bed "I always like a little action before I go to sleep" Dash giggles and raises a eyebrow at her "you do now do you?" In a playful voice. Twilight realizing what she said "oh no! I didn't mean it like that, just..." Dash laughs again "I know what you meant, I'm just playing around with you. I need to realize when I'm playing around and not sometimes, you take everything a little to seriously, you got to lighten' up every once and a while" Dash starts to look through the bookcase to see if anything catches her eyes. Twilight levitates a book over to herself and lays on the bed and opens it and starts reading. Dash still looking spot a little red book in the back with light yellow lettering in cursive. Dash reaches back and grabs it. 'fornication with the same gender' Curious, Dash opened the book to about the middle of the book, She read a little and her eyes opened widely as she seen a explicit picture of two ponies on the next page and closed the book fast, looking over at Twilight to make sure she didn't see what Dash was looking at. She book the book back where it was originally and kept looking. Her cheeks a slight red from what she just witnessed. Dash kept looking through the bookcase to see if there was anything else and then quit her search after a few scims through the case. "umm... I didn't find anything..." Her cheeks still a light crimson "mmhmm..." Twilight to forced in her book to even realize what Dash just said. Dash looks out the window to notice that the sun was beginning to set already. "Hey, Twilight. I should probably get going, its getting late now" She puts her book down "aww,,, already? but you just got here, and there are plenty more books to look through downstairs" Dash motions her to the window to show her that the sun was setting "ok... fine..." Dash starts to trot down the stair when she hears Twilight call out her name again "Wait! Dash, what if we had a sleep over? Does that sound like fun? Spike isn't here tonight, He has to run an chore for me in the next town over and he won't be back until tomorrow, it would just be us please?" "A sleep over? Do I look like the type of girl that goes to sleep overs?" "maybe...?" Dash sighs "fine... but only this one time, only because I'm to lazy to go back home" yay!" Twilight yells out in joy as she clops her hooves together "We can do each others hair, and paint each others hooves and give each other mug maces and" Dash cuts her off with a hoof to her mouth to silence her "Now, you said 'sleep over' not, all that. deal?" "mmeaf...." Twilight said with the hoof still covering her mouth "good" Dash takes her hoof away. Twilight goes back upstairs with Dash and lays back down on the bed and continues to read her book, Dash decides there's nowhere else to sit, so she gets on the bed with twilight and lays down next to her "this is going to be so much fun..." Twilight says to herself *** //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 *** Chapter 2 Dash flew up to her house, still slightly confused from that awkward hug that her friend just gave her a few minutes ago. Dash stepped inside the dark room turning on the lights and closing the door behind her as she slowly wobbles into her house. "ahh.... what a long day.." she says to herself as she slowly makes her way into her bedroom and collapses down onto her bed. using a switch next to her bedside, dimming the light's very low almost no light at all, but just enough to where you at least make out some objects in the room. She pulls the blanket over herself and gets comfortable. closing her eyes, she slowly starts to drift into a deep sleep, but. That hug still running through her head, 'Why would twilight do that? And her voice afterwards? what was that all about. but... despite that... I did kind of like it... it was nice, not like when one of my fans wants to give me a hug, a friendly hug. A simple hug. I think I will go hang out with Twilight tomorrow, she seemed like she would really enjoy it. I think I will to.' With that, Rainbow gives a small grin to herself as she drifts off into sleep. *** "oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Twilight thinks trough her head as she watches Dash walk back to her house into the night until she can't see her anymore as she trots into the night. "why would I do that, so stupid!" She says to herself as she walks up the stairs to her bedroom. "I shouldn't of ever done that, now she'll never want to hang out with me, or even see me anymore! agh!" she pushes her pillow into her face and yells silently. Her horn glows as she pulls the blanket over her as she flips over the her back to hold on to the covers. "okay, let's not over-exaggerate this, maybe it was nothing. Oh who am I kidding? That was everything! I Might of just ruined it all!" curls up into a ball underneath the blanket and closes her eyes tight as if that would make the thought get out of her head. "Come on Twilight... stop thinking about that. Everything is going to be fine..." She takes in a big inhale and breaths slowly out as she clams herself down. Twilight takes the blanket off her head and lays on the bed normally and closes her eyes. Still trying to get the thought out of her head see tries to go to sleep as fast as possible. It only takes a few minutes for her to fall asleep. But I seems like hour to her. ***
