Groaning as he lifted his slim form off his bed. Even the spirit of chaos needed sleep, as he moved sluggishly from his lemon shaped bed. With a snap of his fingers a glass of  Root Beer appeared in his lion paw. With his beverage in place he teleported into his garden with a lazy boy. Resting in the calmness of the moment, until he popped a pony in front of him. With a smile threatening to tear his face apart, he beckoned the pony over.   "Come here goldie I just want to have some company. Is that so wrong? Besides I'm really a nice guy I promise. Oh wait I think I know how to liven things up, here have a pretzel." Discord waved to a bowl filled with the salty snack. "So how are yooo- oh god these pretzels suck!"   The pony slowly moved to the bowl, taking a pretzel and nibbling on it. She then spit out the contents out of her mouth. Recieving a look of joy from Discord.   "I'm glad somepony agrees with me on a subject. So may I ask what that noise was earlier? A fine young mare such as your self must have an ear to the ground so to speak, it woke me up from the most wonderful dream I ever had. Though a pink pony in the dream nearly drove me crazy Hahaha but she loved my gifts." Upon hearing the last word the mare glared daggers. "If look could kill I think I would six feet under by now but I'm glad they don't."   The mare slowly brought down her anger to the point she wouldn't do anything she would regret. The thought of her children without their mother was very unpleasant. Again the sound came this time closer than before. Discord stared in the direction where he figured the sound came from. The mare who sat quietly had slowly inched back as not to be seen by Discord, who on the other hoof stood now and held his gaze. His eyes strained to focus on the horizon of his skies and his kingdom. His eyes widen as a dot zoomed into view, terror rose in his skinny frame. Thoughts of who it was coming for him bounced around in his chaotic mind.   'Please don't be father please don't be him. I would beg Harmony to make sure'. The thought of his father filled him with dread. He successfully escaped from his father by coming to Equestria, but if this was him Discord had no hope of escaping. Though the dot seemed to slow and stay still as though it watched him. ...   Celestia and Luna both watched the hybrid from afar, seeing his face filled in terror was a gift in its self. For years the two alicorns watched as Discord ruined lives, and turn the world upside down. Now armed with the Elements of Harmony they would right the wrongs he caused. Again they flew towards him,  determination on their faces. The wind whipped their manes wildly as they  charged at Discord's castle. As the sisters drew near, Discord's expression turned from horror to joy. Confused the royal sisters were cautious about Discord's emotions. The glare they sent him should have shivers down his spine. Was he giggling at them?   "Discord we have come to punish you for your crimes committed against not only Equestria and her citizens but to us as well!" Celestia growled at the spirit before them.   "Haha Hahaha hahahaha- oh that is priceless my dear Celestia hahaha, and here I thought it would be hard to find you. And in turn you found me!" Discord was wiping away tears with his last sentence. "You saved me a lot of trouble you know, I can't thank you enough."   Celestia and Luna shared a puzzled look, only to snap back to reality by Discord's laughter. His mismatched feet slowly closed the distance between the two parties. Even though Discord mustered up enough courage to even stand but a foot away from the two princesses that stood against him in every way. That's when he saw the Elements of Harmony bound to them.   "That is really cute to think that those dinky little trinkets will stop me, you must be joking right?" Said the mismatched king of chaos.   "Trinkets?! We'll show you trinkets!" Celestia continued to glare at him. "Why is this poor mare here?! What have you done to her!?"   "Relax she's here because I wanted to have somepony to speak with "Miss High and Mighty" I was just so bored." Discord stole a glance at his company. "I was thinking about giving her a new name, I was gonna name her piss-for-brains in honor of you but I thought I could do better with names." Discord shot her a devilish grin. "Oh I know I know! I will call you fluffy!" And with a snap of his fingers the mare in question was a giant ball of fluff.   Luna gritted her teeth holding back her anger of the sight, how could he treat a pony who did nothing wrong in such manner? "Discord change her back this instant!" Even he was caught off guard by her simply loud statement. He huffed in defeat and changed her back.   "You always spoil my fun. And to be honest I don't like when I'm not having fun." Replied Discord in a cold tone. He turned back to the mare with a smile. "Let's get you home little one no need to see what's about to happen to YOUR princesses." Again he snapped his fingers, with her out of harms way the fight could begin. He chuckled to himself with all the fun he was about to have with the sisters. "And now to deal with..."   Before he could finish, a rainbow struck him as he spoke. Before he even act he was encased in stone. His statue sat still as the princesses observed his likeness, his goat and dragon legs showed  his muscles were very defined. The lion paw and eagle talon both looked able to rip doors off their hinges. His protruding tooth was extremely odd, considering the rest of him. His two horns caused the two sister to snicker. ...   "Attention my little ponies, the villain Discord has been defeated! And with his defeat we have  been liberated from his cruel parnks and plights." Celestia's announced to the crowd below. Their cheers and cries of joy broke her calm visage. Both Luna and Celestia nearly in tears themselves, at long last Equestria could know peace. The ponies below danced and praised the princesses. They all called to their saviors asking them to take their rightful places. Was it their place to rule? Now it was Luna's turn to speak.   "We will be the sovereigns over Equestria, and we swear to uphold your safety and this land."  The crowd again cheered in approval, and for a time Equestria knew peace. //-------------------------------------------------------// Not that please! //-------------------------------------------------------// Not that please!   Discord's unease was what troubled poor Fluttershy, his mood wasn't his usual random pranks or fun ways to spend the days. He just skulked around Fluttershy's cottage, trying to clear his head from his nightmare from last night. Fluttershy watched him as he sat under the nearest tree to his form. His movements betrayed his mind, clearly something put him in this state. But what was the question. She gracefully hovered next to him, wondering how to continue.   "Fluttershy may I ask you a question? It's okay if you don't want to answer it I will completely understand." His eyes locked onto his butter yellow friend.   "Well of course you can ask me anything, I'm your friend." She answered in her sweet voice.   Discord smiled knowing she was here to help him with almost anything. But what dragged itself across his mind was what he was about to say. "How can I escape my father?"   Fluttershy stared in confusion at what he just asked her. Escape his father? What was that supposed to mean? Her brain tried to figure this out while trying to answer him as well. But why would he want to get away from his own family?   "Um why do you want to escape from your own family, he is your father wouldn't want to love him. I could talk to your father... i-if that's okay with you."   "NO!" His sudden outburst caused the timid mare to retreat into her mane as if it were a safety blanket. Discord wrapped his arm around her to calm her down. "Fluttershy, my father is a really bad guy. I mean he make me look like a side show, I don't want you to get hurt. Please promise me you'll wont get involved in my past."   ...   The whole thing with Discord earlier unsettled Fluttershy's nerves, but she promised him that she wouldn't go into his past. After all she had animals to feed, after they were all fed she sent Discord to get more animal food. As he left he still wore the same expression as before, this made her mind up. She was going to help Discord anyway possible.   "Angel I'm going to Twilight's, keep things clean while I'm gone. And if you get hungry I left you some nice carrots on the counter for you." Angel gave a salute to his owner as Fluttershy closed the door. Her mind drifted to many thoughts ranging from Discord to what dinner was going to be.   Ponies waved to Discord, some scoffed at him. He payed no mind to them. Inside his head a war rage. His father had finally found him, what could he do to ensure the ponies wouldn't be slaughtered on sight by that monster? He had no clue. He could ask Celestia and Luna if they could find away to help him in his cause. 'If they could... why would they help me? I may be reformed but it doesn't change how they feel about me or how I still dislike them.' Sighing in defeat at how his mind wasn't truly his own at the moment, he decided to wait and see how things would progress. With all the supplies bought for Fluttershy he made his way back home. ...   Fluttershy sat quietly as Twilight made some tea for the both of them. Taking her cup and sipping the drink, Fluttershy broke the silence.   "How is Spike doing, i-if you don't mind me asking." The timid mare asked shyly.   "He's fine, just helping Rarity again. He is just so love struck, he is also slacking on his chores around the library." Twilight giggled. Oh that little dragon chasing after Rarity was an amusing thought indeed. But you can't stop love. Fluttershy giggled as well, Spike would do nearly anything to get Rarity to be his marefriend, most would just ask their special somepony but not Spike he just kept trying to win her over. "So how's Discord? I hope he isn't causing too much trouble for you."   "Oh no, he's so respectful to me, and he always cleans his room." Fluttershy beamed at her statement. It was all truthful, Discord would help around the house anytime Fluttershy ask. She was proud she could turn him around. "But this morning he woke up from a nightmare that seemed to frightened him."   "Wait a nightmare frightened Discord? You're joking right Fluttershy?" Twilight was nearly about to burst into a laughing fit.   "Then he asked the strangest question. He asked me how he could escape his father." Remembering the question and how he acted sent a shudder down her spine.   "Huh escape his father? We all should at least show appreciation about our parents. Why would he want to escape from his?" Twilight began to talk to herself working out the problem. "I'll write Celestia maybe she can help Discord." //-------------------------------------------------------// sweet dreams //-------------------------------------------------------// sweet dreams   Discord sat on the sofa watching Angel as he glared back, the rabbit hopped away with a blanket that was meant for the sofa. Discord had fed every animal Fluttershy had, taking care to know if they had water and proper bedding. Once he felt he was sure the couch was a welcomed sight. Slowly letting his lanky body relax, sleep again called to Discord. His body fully form the shape of the couch as his mind drifted off to dream once more. ...   "Hello Discord, did you miss me? No I bet not." The shape in front of him formed from mist.   "Well you're right about that I don't miss you. Now please leave." Venomously the word dripped from Discord.   "Now why would I want to do that? You have a nice little setup here cute girl too. Anyway I gotta deal for you." The details became more profound on the figure. A blue button-up over a white shirt. Blue pants and boots covered the lower half of the figure.   "What? You think I would take a deal from you?" Discord's eyes narrowed, his expression seethed anger towards his father.   "Ok I tried being nice, but if you are going to be like this why do I even bother with you."   Discord strained his eyes at his father, his facial features now whole. Pale skin, with some places where the skin looked to be pealing away exposing muscles. The brown eyes cold like ice. The hair was a dirty dark yellow. But his smile was the most chilling feature, it was both threatening and welcoming. He stood at Discord's hight, arms crossed on his chest. "Why do you look like that? Why not show who you really are?"   "Well I have to say I rather like this meat suit, I think it fits me just great. Wouldn't you agree?" The figure smirked smugly. "But why don't we get down to business, shall we?" ...   "Discord have you fed the animals? I- I mean if you haven't that's ok I can do it." Angel jumped out to see Fluttershy just coming in through the door. She closed the door softly once she saw Discord fast asleep on the couch. Fluttershy smiled noticing the hybrid snoring in what looked like a well deserved rest. How wrong she was. Inside the draconiqui's head a battle raged between himself and his father. If one could see emotions irradiate, they would a mass of black tendrials writhing from Discord's mass. And a sour yellow mist around his father.   Discord's father just shook his head, his eyes cast down. "You should know I don't lie, because I don't have any reason to. But I guess I'll just have to collect you myself then. I'll see you soon I guess." A smile crept on the figure's face, Discord only recoiled at  the notion. As sudden as it began the dream ended. ...   The figure seemed to grow depressed by his son's actions of refusing him. "Why must you make this so difficult? Hmm? At least just listen."   "Why when all I hear are lies?" Discord shouted back. His body visibly shaking in anger //-------------------------------------------------------// When the Angels cry //-------------------------------------------------------// When the Angels cry   Celestia still was uneased by Discord's presence in Ponyvile, if he snapped, the thoughts caused Celestia to shiver down her spine. Fluttershy would write when Discord learned more about the magic of friendship. As of late the letters had stopped, leaving the sun princess with a sour note of displeasure. All was still within the palace. Celestia sighed inwardly, filled with dread as nothing happened as of late. She turned to her throne, the cushions calling to relax. Her mind full of doubts, 'Maybe I was wrong letting him out his stone prison.' Huffing in discomfort at the possibility of returning him back. Her thoughts were interrupted by a bright flash of light, Celestia covered her eyes in an attempt to avoid being blinded. The entire palace filled, each and everypony took cover. As fast as the light appeared it was gone, instead a figure stood alone in the throne room in front of the regent of the sun, the smug smile on its face said it was amused. Once Celestia eyes refocused to the way things were before the flashbang, she could only stare at the biped standing only feet away.   "And you must be Celestia." The voice both commanding and soothing came the figure. His smile changed to a frown. "You don't even know who I am don't you?"   "No I do not, please state your name and why you're here." Celestia regaining her composer as  retaining her gracefulness as a princess. "And may I ask how you got here?"   The figure gave a slight bow in respect. "Lucifer, and I'm pleased to meet you." The smug smile never wavered, but his eyes clearly showed disgust at her. "Mind telling me where my boy is?" Celestia felt her blood chill. Nopony dared to demand anything from her. But yet Lucifer did, and without care about the guards or the princess. He chuckled to himself assuming these ponies had never dealt with a being like him before. His predatory gaze held Celestia in contempt, she noted the distaste in his eyes. Lucifer turned to the guards who stood weapons at the ready for his one action of deciete. Slowly his head turned back to the princess with a displeased sensation. She was well versed in all creatures of Equestria, but nothing prepared her for such an arrogent bipedal being like the one before her. She noted his movements as cold and calaulating, like a predator waiting for its prey to make one false move. "Awww that's cute did you see that scowl this guard gave me? Well I could just pop his head."   Celestia gave a horrified gasp to the thought. But before she could speak Lucifer snapped his fingers. The guards head exploded like a violent pinata, blood and brains showered the showered the walls. The lifeless body fell to the floor with a thud, the second guard felt a warm sensation flow freely down his legs. Lucifer cocked his head slightly to the left and raised his hand, with a flick of the the wrist the guard's neck ripped open at the jugular. The once beautiful marble floor forever stained with blood, shined like a floor was laid down. Lucifer turned back to Celestia, her look of disbelief was one for the records.   "Why did you kill them?!" Celestia's mind reeled in terror and disgust. Two highly trained veterans, cut down with ease. Murder rarely  occured in Equestria, when there was a murder it usually was in defending an other from criminals that wouldn't stop. Not out of sheer pleasure! Lucifer held a finger on his chin, an amused look on his face. "THEY DID NOTHING WRONG TO YOU! YET YOU KILLED THEM IN COLD BLOOD!?"   "I've killed for less. Now where is my son?" Lucifer replied with his hands moving into his pockets. Celestia shuddered with knowing that she could be next on his list to kill. "I won't ask again, where is Discord?"   "Discord is your son?!" Gasped the sun regent. //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie knows //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie knows   "Hey there mister writer! Do you like parties I love parties! What about cupcakes? I love cupcakes! What is the bad guy here looking for Discord?" Pinkie pie stated in her upbeat tone. "He doesn't seem very nice why'd he kill two of Celestia's guards?"   "Whoa Pinkie I can't reveal why that's the point of the story, how are you even speaking with me?" I said rather confused about this.   "Because YOU'RE the one writing it silly. But why I'm asking is what do you think is going to happen? I think old Scratch is going to be our friend!"   "Pinkie he's the Devil, the fallen angel. To be plain he's evil."   "So was Dissy but he turned good!"   "Yes I know, because Fluttershy was being a friend to him I know. But this is Lucifer not Discord."   "You also said he casts a shadow darker than Sombra's!"   "I know what I wrote Pinkie."   "So how's everything between you and your girlfriend?"   "Wha- what?! How do you know what's going on in my life?"   "Silly I know because I heard. So how are you two doing?"   "We broke up."   "Aww what happened? Please tell me?"   "Let me say she's got Rainbow Dash's attitude, and like a changeling. Well at least I don't have to worry about that anymore."   "I know what will cheer you up!"   "Is it a party?"   "Yes, how'd you know?"   "Call it a lucky guess."   "I know some mares that would love to meet you. Oh like Twilight! Or maybe Lyra. Oh oh oh Derpy, as long as you have a muffen."   "Pinkie, Twilight would want to study me then ask over a million questions. Lyra might pass out if she saw me or Lucifer for that matter. And isn't Derpy married or something and have a kid?"   "Well she does have a daughter, but she isn't married. Why it looks like you have a crush on her don't you?"   "No I just asked a question jeez. Besides I'm not the catch of the year here."   "Stop that you look nice Mr Shadow."   "How'd you, never mind."   "I know who you like I know who you like I know who you like!"   "What?! But how?"   "Its Celestia isn't it, nonononono it Luna!"   "Pinkie cut that out!"   "You have a crush on Luna you have a crush on  Luna. Oh I'm so telling Twilight this! She might crack a rib from laughing so hard!"   "Pinkie no don't tell Twilight!"   "Aww why not? Is it because then she might really ask you a lot of questions?"   "Pinkie can I please get back to writing this story? Please?"   "Oh fine Raven Shadow but I'm still going to tell Twilight that you like Luna!"   "Oh my god hey wait oh, my god I can continue the story finally." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Ace of Spades is back baby! //-------------------------------------------------------// The Ace of Spades is back baby!   (One thousand three years later)   "Well Discord? What am I really going to have to say it? Fine it looks like I told you so just doesn't seem to cover it. But it was cute how you thought you could hide from me. No really it was. I would have never thought my own son would be in a world that looks like it came right out of a little girl's dream. Bravo it through me off but in the end you have a job to do back home."   "I won't go back with you, not now, not ever! I like these ponies they're my friends!"   "And yet they turned you into stone? Some friends. Discord you know I don't have any reason to lie to you. Besides none of them really care about you."   "That's not true! My friend Fluttershy cares! Everyday she asks me how I'm doing! She is my friend! There I caught you lying! Ha!"   "She only cares because she was forced to. Are you really that dense? How can you be so stupid? Listen to me Discord are you really free?"   "Yes I use my powers for good, by my own free will. You should know all about free will."   "Still you're denied to be who you truly are."   "Father you're wrong, this place is good to me. I have friends that care about me. They show me how life is worth living not destroying! I have found happiness, and you just want to take that away from me! Sure me and Celestia don't see eye to eye sometimes but hey you know what? She's also my friend! They all are. And I'm happy to know they care."   "Then look at it this way if you will. If Fluttershy still felt how she did when she first met you? Think she would even bat an eyelash at you? No she wouldn't. Admit it you are just a burden to these ponies that's all!" ...   Discord awoke in cold sweat dripping from his brow, gasping for air. The sound of hoof hitting the floor outside his room. His thoughts churned out the only possibility that could happen. 'Fluttershy coming to check up on me.' And he called it.   "Discord are you okay? I was making some tea until I heard you screaming so I came up here as fast as I could to make sure if you were alright... I mean if that's ok with you." Fluttershy said with a hint of worry in her sweet voice. Concern written across her face, secured Discord's faith in his new friend.   "Just  a bad dream my dear, that's all it was." Shaking himself off his bed, he leaned down to Fluttershy giving her a hug. "I just want to thank you for being such a great friend Fluttershy."
