Chapter 2

Shining Armor’s Pov (Point of View)

“Twily wake up.” I said, gently, to a sleeping little purple unicorn rolling around in her bed. I couldn’t help but smile at the sight, so I nudged her gently. Soon, I saw two purple eyes waking up, looking right at me. Then I heard a yawn from the little filly that was from my sister. She looked up at me and smiled, I couldn’t help smile back at her.

Twily said,  “Good morning BBBFF.”

“Good morning to you too LSBFF.” I said back to her, happily.

“Do I have to get up?” My sister asked me, with pleading eyes.

“Yes you do.” I said, beating her pleading look.

“Even if I do this.” She said, putting on her best duckface expression.

So I changed my game plan up a bit, I said, “Then I think Princess Celestia will have to find a new student.”

“No way, she will not.”

“Oh I think she will. Cause her student is sleeping in and doesn’t want to learn a thing about magic.”

That’s when my little sister got out of bed, ran down the stairs, and was quickly looking for something to eat. I chuckled at how I can fool her and get her out of bed so easily. I better go check on her, for Twiliy doesn’t know that she has the weekend off from being teached by the princess to use magic.

I walked down the stairs, and into the kitchen and what I saw would make anypony go awww. Twiliy was eating oats, toast, and had a glass of orange juice near her. I chuckled a bit at the mess she made, but I cleaned it up for her. That’s when my sister said, “Hey Shining....”

I replied, “Yes Twiliy.”

“Am I a bad student?” She asked me, disapproval in her voice.

I couldn’t help but feel hurt that she asked that about herself so I replied, “Of course not. You’re the best student ever to be learning from the princess herself, and you’re also the best sister that I have.”

She looks at me and says, “Really?. You mean that?.”

I had to reply, “Yes I mean it Twilight.”

I heard the best squee in my life from my sister as she ran over towards me, hugged me, and began to nuzzle me. I returned the gesture, and I’m also hoping to make this the best day of Twilight’s life.

My name is Shining Armor, I’m a library assistant, I’m the elder brother of Twilight Sparkle. ‘Twiliy’ is the nickname I gave her. My dream is to become a captain of the royal guard, to protect and serve under Princess Celestia. I don’t know what destiny has awit for me, but I’m prepared to give it everything I got.

“Eat up Twiliy. We are going somewhere today.” I said to her.

“But didn’t you get me up for Celestia’s teaching today Shining?” Twilight asked me, confusion on her face. I forgot to tell her it was her weekend off, so I’m prepared to face the consequences.

I closed my eyes as I replied, “Twiliy, today is your day off, well actually your weekend off from being taught to use magic. I got you up so we can go somewhere today.”

“So you lied to me. That’s uncool Big Bro.”

“I know, I shouldn't have lied to you. I just wanted you and me to hang out today, then we can go wherever you want to tomorrow.”

“Really you promise!”

“Yes I promise.”

“You are the coolest BBBFF ever!”

“And you’re the best LSBFF ever. Now go get your saddle bags, fill it with what you want, and we’ll be on our way.”

“Okay Shining.”

Twilight hugged me, then ran up the stairs to her bedroom. I looked at the empty bowl, plate, and glass on the table. Maybe I should told her to clean up after herself, then let her go get her saddlebags. Sometimes I’m such a goofball, but I’m my family’s goofball. Is that what destiny, fate, or some other mumbo jumbo, has in store for me? I’ll soon find out. I started to clean up my sister’s mess.
