Earth is no more.

When the Queen of Equestria began to succeed in her plan to assimilate and ponify all of humanity, her foes deemed it better to die than become slaves. They triggered their hidden superweapon, one made from a piece of their own planet, in a final act of defiance.

It made the Tyrant's victory a pyrrhic one, but victory was hers nonetheless.

Now, the last of humanity's creations dwells in the ashes of the once vibrant Earth, with only a half-mad alicorn princess as company. In its efforts to locate the universe inhabited by Earth's unexpected allies and reunite with them, it instead found one that was nearly a mirror to its own…but with one major difference.

Humanity was still alive, still resisting the Solar Tyrant, and they still had a fighting chance.

In that moment, the machine vowed that it would succeed where it had failed before. Humanity will survive. Earth will not fall again.
