When Princess Twilight Sparkle reads a legend about Lordran, a land beyond Equestria's borders, she decides to learn more about it, only to find that it has been cursed for many, many centuries. She then decides to talk to princess Celestia about this, only to have her laugh. So, she leaves Canterlot in search of this "Lordran"… And comes Across Knight Solaire, an Undead who wants to find his very own sun. Twilight sees this as a joke, but then realizes he is serious, so she decides to help him on his Journey. This is how their story begins…
