I Am Number Four
Prologue
Load Full StoryNumber Three lived in a small house, just outside of Trottingham. He and the pony he lived with, his Cepan/guardian from Lorien who used the alias Silk Soft, were just turning out the lights for the day, it was time to go to sleep.
It had been a long day for him, having attention drawn to him. He was worried that maybe the Mogadorians will have noticed the day's events and find him. Come morning, he was getting up and relocating somewhere safer. He hadn't been to Fillydelphia yet, that was an option.
He laid down in his bed, slipping under the sheets, dreaming of being free, not having to worry about being killed every day.

A noise that would go unnoticed by the average pony woke Three and Silk. It was barely audible, but after what had happened, they knew that the Mogadorians were getting close if they weren't already there.
Number Three hoped and prayed that it was just a woodland creature.
But not all hopes come true.
"Stay back, just in case."
His Cepan walked to the door, looking through the crack between it and the wall. From what he could tell, there was nothing to worry about. Yet Silk whispered anyway.
"It looks clear to m-!"
Both the wall and the door are torn away as a ferocious animal known only to the planet Mogadore grabbed his Cepan.
"SILK!" Three cried.
"Go!" The other Loric yelled in response.
Nodding vigorously, Three turns tail and leaps through the window. Not caring about the cuts he'd received, Number Three ran through the trees. He knew he was being chased, but it was by the Mogs, not their pet.
He jumped and swerved past different obstacles such as fallen trees until he came to a ravine.
"Oh no, no, no!"
The Mogs were closing in, and at the last second he jumps. At the same time, a Mogadorian throws his sword, one literally glowing with power.
Three doesn't make it to the other side or fall quick enough and the sword impales him. Before he can hit the ground on the other side, his dead body explodes into ash.
A group of Mogadorians on the other side approach the ash and one retrieves the sword.
"Now then, I believe it's time that we find Number Four, yes?"
