Prologue

It was supposed to be a normal day in my life; get up, lay around, get up again for food, eat, be depressed and such, but nope today I woke up in a cave freezing half to death (I should have brought a blanket). Oh sorry about that, I bet you are wondering who am I and where I am? Well you're in luck, my name is Daring Feat, I am a medium sized, red coated pony who's mane is solid brown, yes nothing exciting. I have golden eyes and a slightly larger wingspan than most pegasi and I always have a black bandana around my head just in case it needs to go over my face(+5 badass points). And I'm in a cave if you didn't already figure that one out genius, but I'll explain that one a bit later on.

Now I am a sad being, seeing as my parents died in a train wreck when I was a kid, never trusted those machines again, since their death I have been jumping from city to city with my parents money avoiding the ponies who want me in foster care. I've been from everywhere from the humbling deserts of Dodge Junction to the bustling streets of Manehatten, I've been, seen, heard, and lived it all. But I still wanted an education and went to different schools, as much as I could. But I really want to settle down and go somewhere safe, calm, and quiet away from all the loud noises, bustling city streets, unsafe alleyways, ponies rushing living day to day, and the constant threat of foster care catching up and locking me down, that's why I'm here on the outskirts of Ponyville. Before I left for Ponyville there was... complications. Foster care broke into my makeshift hideout in Las Pegasus and nearly got me, that was scary, that's why I didn't check the weather before heading out to Ponyville. As you could imagine the rest of the trip here was a difficult one, trying to avoid the foster care ponies and pushing through a storm, that was a hassle not to mention how I got struck by lightening on the way down burning one wing to nearly not being able to fly (I should have that checked out). I am planning on leaving for a hospital when the storm passes over, I can only hope that the storm passes over soon or my wing might be in for some serious hurt.

Back to the lightening strike, it made me feel funny on the inside and it did not hurt as much as i thought it would which was strange but a blessing none the less, sadly that's not a story for now. That lightening strike is the reason I'm here muddied in a cave freezing and sopping wet, but hell I made it and that's what counts. Away from the horrors of everypony standing and laughing at me as some bigger colt knocks over my stuff and calls me names for being poor. You see life isn't all sunshine and happiness in the big cities, ponies are harsh and greedy there, but there are the occasional nice good doers, ah but that's all in the past.

Boy it's been a bumpy road but it's nearly over. I've turned over one cheek, then turned over the other one and I'm now out of cheeks and THIS is where I make my last stand. THIS is the place I'll call home and I'm determined to keep it that way, as soon as the storm blows over and I can leave the cave. It's time to stop running and try to start over again. Welcome to my upcomings, shortcomings, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Welcome to the life of Daring Feat.
